I had the same issue in my 2012 Nissan Altima. It was a function in my car's stero settings. I had to go to the car's iPhone/iPod settings when the iPhone was plugged into the USB. My settings come up automatically when I plug in and I can scroll through the commands to "Shuffle" songs. Hope this helps.

This helped me. Fix #1 is something Apple doesn't ever suggest to you.
My specific problem was somehow my Apple Mobile Device USB Driver got turned off and moved and maybe even uninstalled, but after hours of struggling, this site helped tremendously.
Furthermore, I could connect my iPhone to my computer but not into iTunes. It would only let me go to access pictures on my iPhone and that's all.

It's all coming from Facebook.
Either a notification is turned on or somehow these "events" have been synced to the calendar.
The "how to fix" would depend on the notification. If it's coming from the Facebook app, again, fix the notifications in the settings for your facebook account. Since you're also getting emails, I believe this is where the notifications are coming from.
If they are coming from the calendar app, then either change the notifications for each event or delete the events.

Why does my iphone4 keep dropping calls??? It has been doing it for over a week. Does anyone have an answer.... AT&T says they are not having any problems and I have done everything but restore my phone.

Unfortunately, this has plagued the AT&T iPhone since the original model came out. It's most likely a dead zone causing the issue (I have the sameissue from time to time). You can also get a Micro Cell from AT&T, it's basically just an access point that allows you to pick up a cellular signal at home or work (where ever you set it up).
To eliminate any hardware issues, make sure you're on the latest build of the OS (4.3.3 for the AT&T iPhone 4) - I noticed you're still on 4.3.2. If you don't have a case, I suggest the Apple bumper or any case that covers the metal bezel on your phone, that will help as well.
Also, you can "reboot" your phone. To do this, hold down the metal sleep button on the upper-right corner of your phone until the "slide to power off" slider is displayed, then power off the phone. Wait a few minutes and turn it back on.

I changed passwords on two Gmail accounts and now iPhone won't accept the new passwords. Nothing I've tried has worked. Any suggestions?
Here's what I tried:
Double checking I'm inputting them correctly
Deleting each account and recreating them, but just keeps happening over and over
Closing Mac Mail and relaunchng
Shutting off my computer and relaunching
Creating yet another Gmail password, having that all check out and then using that, but rejected
I changed the passwords on my iMac and those work fine, the same two Gmail acts that iPhone won't accept the passwords for.

If you attempted to make a purchase when there were insufficient funds in the account, it may have been rejected. If you do not have enough money in the account now for Apple to process an authorization (usually 99¢, it will be reversed) to verify the card is valid and active, it will be rejected. If niether of those is the case and it still doesn't work, contact the bank. They may be refusing the transaction.

I am having trouble with my phone. The phone is almost a year old, but not quite. The charger is a bit worn, and I'm beginning to wonder if the charger is my problem. I have it on a wall charger by my bed so I can check the time if need be. Here's my issue: it vibrates. A lot. Randomly. And I can't sleep. I'm having problems getting it to stop. My lock button is broken, so I CANNOT TURN THE PHONE OFF. What should I do?
What's the issue, and how can I fix it? My sleep level is low and I need to know if I need to buy another charger. To sum things up, my questions are:
What's causing the vibrations and notifications?
Is this a hardware issue, or a problem with the cord connection?
How much does a new cord cost?

1. Verify that the outlet being used is working.
2. Try another USB power adapter if available.
3. If no other USB power adapter is available, try connecting to a high-power USB 2.0 port (not a keyboard). The computer must be turned on and not in sleep or standby mode.
4. Try another USB cable if available.
5. Also refer to iPhone and iPod touch: Charging the battery.
As suggested, you'll want to try charging the iPhone with a different cable to completely isolate the issue. Borrow one from a friend or family member if possible, but if not you can purchase a new one from Apple directly or an authorized reseller. It is important to buy an Apple-branded charger, which leads us to your last question:

Why does my iPhone keep redownloading my purchases?

A few months ago, I purchased an episode of NCIS on iTunes for on iPhone 5. For some reason, when the show finished downloading, it started to redownload again! It showed up in my videos library and played just fine, but it continued to redownload in iTunes. I couldn't stop the download with the normal "swipe across the screen and press delete method." I couldn't even do that from the Videos app. I went into usage, and stopped it that way. It continued to redownload, and not show up in my videos library. I updated my software about a week and a half ago, and I had that episode transferred from my computer from my phone so I could watch it. I started to play it, and the download was gone, it freed up a ton of "other" space on my phone, (as it took up about 4GB from redownloading over and over.) and I had the full download as it should be, in the videos app, and not a download from the iTunes store.
Today, I opened up iTunes on my phone, and there it was redownloading again AND with a song I bought a few weeks earlier. Both were already on my phone, but were redownloading like before. I did like I did before, plug into computer, copy from library to phone, and try to play it to have it deleted from downloads like before. It didn't work. The downloads are paused for now. Do I need to restore my iPhone? The downloads are taking up ~3GB in the "other" section of iTunes. As much as I like my iPhone, this has become a real headache!

I would try signing out of your apple ID account in settings > iTunes & app stores, then tapping on your email and choosing sign out.....then restart the phone and sign back in... It has worked for me with something similar.
