Why does my Macbook show no sign of life!

It was used last week, and my Macbook Pro had more than 50% battery,then after 1 minute, the Macbook's screen went black. I tried holding the power button for more than 10 seconds and nothing work. I also tried plugging the charging and holding the power button, but nothing worked! When the charger was plugged there was a dim light on it. After that i tried pressing the battery indicator on the left side of the Macbook, it didn;t show any light; if the battery was low, it would've show a fast blinking light. What should i do? Please help me.....

You don't need to delete them form iTunes on your computer. Notice the dotted circles next to the songs. That indicates that the songs are essentially in limbo. They may not be on your iPad or they might appear in the Music app but will not play.
Sometimes unsyncing those songs will totally remove those ghost traces of the music nd sometimes, you have to restore the iPad to get rid of those traces of the songs.
If you Google "grey dotted circles next to songs in iTunes" you will find a plethora of articles that talk about this.

My Macbook stopped showing the correct year. It shows that it is the year "2554 BE" I don't even know what BE stands for!
The time, month, and day are all right but the year keeps bugging me!
The text is in spanish but I guess we all get the same window.
1) I tried changing the year but the lowest it can go is "2512 BE".
2) I tried Reseting the time and date but it didn't work either.
3) And I also tried setting the Time and Date to automatically change and took me back to "2554".
What else can I do?
P.S. My macbook is up to date. I have the Version 10.6.7

Try and tick the "Set Date & Time Automatically Box". Set it to the appropriate setting.

Sometimes it can be something very simple and easy to fix. Before you get into any involved troubleshooting, quit iTunes, restart your Mac, restart your iPad and then try to sync again.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
If this doesn't work, then try the more involved stuff.

Why does my Macbook not choose the 5Ghz network?

Hi there! Can anyone tell me why, if I have a dual band simultaneous Airport Extreme and iStumbler says I have a 58% 5 bar 5Ghz on channel 100 signal right at the top of the list of available networks and the other examples from my network are 45% and 42% on the 2.4Ghz band - then why does my Macbook insist on choosing one of the lesser signal strength networks to log in to? I am extending my network via an Airport Express in the bedroom and I think it is that which is showing the highest signal (probably as it it considerably closer than the Extreme where I am sat right now!). Just wondered, doesn't seem very dual band to me if it never connects to the better band? Don't want to force it to connect to 5Ghz as that's not required, at the moment it chooses.

Chances are that the extended network is using the 2.4 GHz radio band as this band allows for greater range. Remember that the AirPort Express can only operate in one band or the other. It is not a simultaneously dual-band device like your Extreme.

I turned it on and I went to safari to look things up. Safari froze and then the whole thing became unresponsive - the mouse could move the cursor but it couldn't open any programmes.
Tried safe boot several times. No help.
Tried to repair disc permissions. The first time it got a little way then said 'user stopped repair' or something - though I didn't touch it. Tried again it got all the way through and said 'repairs complete'. But no help.
Couldn't clear cache etc as couldn't get to the relevant part to do it.
Opened in single user mode. Ran the fsck -fy thing twice. First time it said both “The volume appears to be OK” AND “FILE SYSTEM WAS MODIFIED.” In 2nd run it just said “The volume appears to be OK”. No help.
Booted it up from the Superduper bootable backup version on a USB external drive. It seemed to boot up ok but then tried to click on something and the same thing happened - spinning beach ball and it just hung.
Erased hard drive and reinstalled snow leopard but it just does the same thing. Suggesting a hardware issue not software but...the Eerie thing is, we tried backup version on boyfriends Mac Pro and it worked fine on there but 24hrs later his Mac Pro has got exactly the same screen freezing, unresponsive issue. Could this suggest there's something evil lurking on my back up? Can't get an appointment at Genius Bar until next week and need to get some work done, so hoping someone might have some ideas?

When my girlfriend and I are trying to watch a movie on Netflix together while on FaceTime my MacBook Pro always decreases the volume of any background sound on my computer so I can barely hear it. Have the same issue too. Apple can you please change this annoying feature. You are making long distance relationships more difficult.
I like how Facetime was with the old iOS, where nothing was dimmed. OR at least maybe if you could give users the option to turn on or off dimming of facetime.

i just purchased a file that had videos in it. i put them in the itunes library on my pc where i first downloaded them. i was able to transfer them to my other pc, a laptop, through my home network. i am now trying to get them on my mac pro desktop and my ipad2. my mac pro can see the other computers on my home network but i cannot get it to connect to them. i know the operating systems are different but was hoping i could transfer pictures and files from pc to mac this way. haven't been able to get it to work yet. the videos i am trying to get my mac to see came in a folder with both mac and pc versions. i thought if i got the videos i purchased into itunes that i would then be able to get them to my mac pro and my ipad2. i am new to mac/apple and have always been pc-centric so trying to marry it all has been difficult. i speak pc pretty well but am just learning apple. am i trying to do things that are not possible? i sure could use a knowledgable friendly soul to walk me through my issues of having pc and mac on the same network. i have been able to get all computers and ipad to print on my network. thanks.

Why does my Macbook Air make a single buzz/beep every time I open it or turn it on? It doesn't happen after again after the initial buzz. If I open it after it has been sleeping, it starts up and then there is a buzz. This has only happened since I downloaded iOS Maverick.
