Why don't both of my iPod 4 generation cameras work

I've tried every thing I tried pushing the home and lock button together I've reset it as new and nothing happens its all the same please help me

If you restored to factory settings/new iPod via iTunes (Not via Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content and Setting) and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.
Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store..

Why don't songs appear on iPod?

I click and drag songs from itunes window into iPod window on my Mac. Then when I'm done and disconnect, they do NOT appear on the iPod, it's blank. Any ideas? I am running iTunes 7, Mac 10.3.9, with a brand new iPod, purchased Oct 11, 2006.

Dragging songs only works if you have selected to manually manage songs and videos? Have you?
Connect the iPod to the computer. When the iPod appears in iTunes, select it under Source (on the left) and click the summary tab. Make sure manually manage songs and videos is checked. Click Apply. Do not go and change any settings in the other tabs (for what is synced to the iPod), because doing so will enable automatic updating again.
When you drag the songs to the iPod, is iTunes showing that it is adding them (not just Updating iPod, but does it actually show the song names or 1 out of 10, for example)?
Are you adding all types of songs (from CDs), videos, purchased content, or what?

Why don't contacts on my iPod display correctly?

I'm using iSync to transfer my iMac's Address Book's contacts to my iPod. When checking on my iPod's Contacts menu I notice some of the images (high res jpg's) used for the profiles look weird, whereas on Address Book look perfect...

Why don't I have an iPod icon in my settings menu?

In my settings there is no iPod icon.

The iPod app was redesigned and renamed to Music some time ago.

WHY!!! Brand new IPod doesn't work.

I bought a brand new 30 gb Ipod to replace my old Ipod that won't work anymore. Now this one won't work. It is a couple of days old! I installed the software and put some music on the ipod. I have ipod speakers and the ipod works fine on them. It works fine when plugged into the computer. As soon as I take the ipod off a power source it fades until the screen is blank and then it will not respond until I plug it back in. Ive tried everything. Reset the ipod, let the battery drain completely nothing works. The battery says fully charged but it only works plugged into the computer or another power source. Please help! I have restored reset I've done everything. This is just opened from the packaging. Why is ipod equiptment so fragile? If it can't be fixed how do I get a refund because I now have to Ipods that don't work.

And your iPod just doesn't do anything if it's not connected to an external power source? This is interesting. Toggle your Hold switch (on, off, on, off), and follow these reset instructions:
0. Make sure your Hold switch is off.
1. Lay your iPod down on your computer desk.
2. Connect your iPod to your computer (if it's not already).
3. Use your pointer finger from your left hand, and press down on the Menu button.
4. Wait a few seconds.
5. Use your pointer finger from your other hand, and press down on the Select button.
6. Hold them down together until the Apple logo appears.

TS2634 my 8g ipod generation 4 works but my sceen will not light up when i plug it in the computer reads it and i can hear the apps when i touch the sceen

My ipod touch 8g has a black screen. I know that it works because when I pull it into the computer it connects and reads it also makes sounds when I touch the screen. Someone please help I don't want a $200.00 paperweight.

Why don't I see a photo tab (camera roll) in icloud

I am switching computers. Going from XP to 7. I am told everything is in icloud but everytime I try to sync in Itunes a message pops up asking to
erase and sync--- will erase the contents of this ipod and replace it with the content of this Itunes library.

I'm trying to configure DHCP reservations and all of the online resources I've found tell you to go to the DHCP Tab under the "Internet" options. Howevever, I don't even see this tab!
Then this would tell us that the AirPort Extreme is in Bridge Mode and it is not configured to be the main router on your network. To confirm, click the Internet Connection Tab. What is the setting that you see for "Connection Sharing"?
There is likely another modem/router device there that you have the AirPort Extreme connected to, correct?
That is the device that must be configured for DHCP Reservations since it is handling the DHCP services for your network.

Why don't my Apple USB keyboard and mouse work in Win XP after bootcamp driver installed

I just installed Win XP Pro + SP2 using Bootcamp 3.0 on my Mac Pro 1.1 (2006) which is running Snow Leopard (10.6.8). The Win XP installation went flawlessly and everything seemed to be working OK (mouse & keyboard were fine) until I installed the Bootcamp drivers from my OS X installation DVD. The installation didn't report any problems, but when it was finished, the keyboard (Apple USB keyboard) and mouse (Logitech USB mouse) stopped responding. No power to the mouse at all makes me believe that it is actually the USB drivers themselves that have failed. Rebooting WinXP didn't solve the problem - it boots WinXP just fine (and fast!), shows the Bootcamp Help screen, but no mouse or keyboard, a.k.a., USB, response.
Can I recover from this somehow?

Problem solved.
It seems that the boot camp 3.0 drivers installed from my 10.6.8 DVD weren't sufficient. I repeated the install from scratch, but rather than rebooting as soon as the BC 3.0 drivers were installed, I allowed the Apple Update utility to D/L and install the BC 3.1 and 3.2 updates. Viola! Everything works brilliantly. My Mac Pro is now the best Windows PC I have ever owned

IPad 3rd generation camera problem

My new IPad 3rd generation camera worked perfectly for about a half hour. Then the IPad got hot so I turned it off to cool down. When I turned it back on and tried to use the camera the camera screen was black. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Quit the camera app and restart the iPad.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Or reboot the iPad.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
BTW ... The iPad should not get that hot!

I tried resetting my iPod the camera worked then but when I tried to flip it to the front camera it closed and now it doesnt work again.

How are you syncing? Manually or automatically?

TS1425 My iPod Classic was working fine all day. Came home and uploaded to voice memos via iTunes, now there is no sound coming from my iPod. I've used both headphones and a docking station. The songs don't even begin, they just skip to the next one.

Hi, and welcome to Apple Discussions.
Have you tried resetting the PMU?
I'm not optimistic that this will help any more than the procedures you've already tried, but it won't hurt to try.
Do you still have your OS 9 installation? If so, try booting into OS 9 and see if the problems with the audio are happening there, too. If so, you can bet it's a hardware problem.
How big is your hard drive and how much space remains available on it? If you don't have your OS 9 installation in order to check out whether it's a hardware problem and you have enough available hard drive space, you may want to try an Archive and Install of the OS in order to make sure it isn't an OS X system-wide problem. If that doesn't do it, you could back up your hard drive and restore your software.
All of this may just be spinning your wheels, but it's all stuff you can try before shelling out a lot of money for repairs.
