Why don't items I put in the trash appear in the trash?

Sometimes items it put in the trash don't appear in the trash, although they are there. This often happens when I manually delete podcasts from iTunes, or drag an item such as a PDF from my downloads folder to the trash. The dock icon remains in it's "empty" state and bring up the trash finder window also shows that it is empty. If I restart my MacBook however, the items appear in the trash and are able to be deleted. Odd.

For photos deleted from iPhoto, you need to empty the iPhoto trash under file while the iPhoto App is open.

Check that you have specified the HEIGHT and WIDTH properties of the spacer!
Also, you have created an item, but make sure that it is RENDERED=TRUE at the personalisation level for your responsibility.
It is good prectice to create an item and render it FALSE. Then go to the specific personalisation level you require and set RENDER=TRUE.
Also, there is a better document than the one you refer to. Try looking at MetaLink document id 268969.1 - Oracle Framework Personalization Guide (OA Framework 11.5.10).

i put my picture in between my clips in imovie but when the red lign is on the picture, it shows a frozen clip from the preciouse video clip.

These profiles do not respond to clicking and dragging. Since they are all in one place, more or less, I'm reluctant to make further attempts to relocate them. Accessing the CMYK profile is the first difficult experience I've encountered with this arrangement. I have never needed the CMYK profile until recently, and that need has now past. However, it remains a mystery to me as to why it does not appear with all the others on the menu of export choices in Aperture 2, or on the menu of profile assignment choices in the Preview application (where again all the other profiles are listed as choices). I'm beginning to think my current set up will permit me to view an image that was created in CMYK space, but does not easily assign, or convert to that space. I don't face these restrictions with all the others, so it remains a curious circumstance for me. I anticipate upgrading my computer and software in the near future which might alleviate this issue altogether. Again, many thanks for your attention to this matter. The reach of this community is astounding.

Why don't I get rings around the numbers on my iPod?

The image on the left is something I pulled off the web, the one on the right from my iPod 5G. Where are the circles on mine? Is there a way to enable them?
I have only seen the circles three times since updating to iOS7.

I have no idea why they don't show up. Maybe that is something for another thread.
Regardless, the left image shows white rings around the unlock-your-screen numbers and four smaller circles under "Enter Passcode", the right one shows none of them.
I was playing around with it last night and selected one of the Apple images for the lock screen and I got the rings. I selected one of my images and they disappeared. Maybe that has something to do with it. I would like, at the least, to have the four smaller circles.

Why don't we show up in the "what's new" section of the iBook store?

We published our first book but it doesn't show up under the "what's new" section of our category. Any ideas why not? The books that are showing up were added ages ago. :(

Yes, I'm wondering that too. I finally got my book up and running. It's called, "Japanese Foundation Level 1". Its in the textbooks section. It would be great if I can find it in the "What's New" section. That would make my day. :-)

Why don't my photos change at the right time in my iMovie HD?

I have searched other people's questions like this and no one has gotten a straight answer. I've imported photos to iMovie HD and set them up to run for 3 seconds each, but when I press play to preview them, they don't change at 3 seconds. Some don't change for 5 seconds, others show up for a split second and disappear into the next photo because all the photos are behind. The playhead runs over each photo, but the image displayed doesn't change when the clip does. What am I missing?
Please help if you can! I need to finish this wedding slideshow for my wedding on Friday.

I would just like anyone else with this problem to know that I found a solution. Not sure if it's the right one, or the one you're looking for, but it at least plays your photos on time!
Instead of setting your photos for 3 seconds (if that's roughly how long you want them to play), instead you need to set them for a longer period (say, 6-7 seconds) and then add transitions in between photos. For myself, I added Cross Dissolve at 2 seconds for each transition and, viola, I now have a 3 second clip of my photo in between the crossovers between each photo. I hope this makes sense. Apparently iMovie prefers if the photos are completely professional, not just half there with regular choppy transitions!
Hope this actually helps someone else... It's now 3:30 am and I am definitely ready for some beauty sleep before the wedding.

Seriously this is one of the most popular card games/board games in existence right now.
We have how many **** card generators for this game??? Over a dozen...and no one has thought to make the actual game
for the iPad or iPhone. Even a knock off would be good.
You could easily charge 9.99 for a Dominion game app...possibly more.
If I had the skills to make it I would.
Stop screwing around with making random game generators for the game and make the GAME!
Android users have a very good knock off, its a crying shame that I have to ask to use my wife's
peice of crap $49.99 phone to play it, while she has my over priced iPhone.

Why don't Ensenasoft games work on the root user

HI I recently downloaded some Ensenasoft games on to my mac but on the root user they just jump on the dock a few times then just close. But on my normal user they work why is this?? and can it be fixed?

Hi Cooldudetouch,
All of the latest versions of our games are now sandboxed. It may be that by sandboxing them it also prevents them from running as a root users. I do know sandboxed apps automatically close if they try to do anything that is not within the permissions the app requested - which in our case is alsmot none at all. While not 100% sure this is what causes your issue, I would think it is the most likely cause.

WHAT AN ANNOYING WAY TO DO BUSINESS IN ASKING A QUESTION.
Just upgraded from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion and am checking on updates. So they have this update for Safari, but NO WHERE does it show how large the update is like they USED to do in Snow Leopard. WHY?
