Why don't my inbox emails load?

About 1pm Jan 19, my inbox stopped showing my emails.
I have 20 or so emails saved in my inbox and after doing an update to 31.4 my older emails that were in my inbox will not load. I can not see any of the messages, only the list that shows in the inbox.
I need thoses emails - Are they still there? Is there a Thunderbird fix for this? Please help! I need these travel documents...

My emails I lost in my inbox were already downloaded off the website server. They are not available on the website server anymore. They were older emails. I believe that the headers got scrambled somehow because when I would click on one it would show me the header of the last email I was just looking at, then I would click on a different one and it showed me the header of the FaceBook email I just deleted. The headers got mixed up and the body of the emails would not show up.
I am using POP email, and NO I did not setup up anything new. I updated my Thunderbird to the new 34.4 version, then my emails got messed up.
I have since done the REPAIR on the inbox and now those emails I could not see have disappeared. I fear they are gone forever.

  • Why aren't new new emails marked?

Why don't my new email messages have the little blue dot in the left hand column?

No I haven't opened them anywhere else.  It appears that if new emails come in while Email is not open, the messages get no blue dot.  If the Email program is open when the new message comes in there is a blue dot.  I had several unread emails when I signed on this morning with no dots.  When QuickTimeKirk's response came through, there was a blue dot.

I'm having the same issue, but slightly different - since upgrading to Mountain Lion the Inbox folder doesn't come across.  If I right-click on the account and select "Get Account Info", the 'Inbox' folder does not appear in the Mailbox list.  I've got a support email into GoDaddy but haven't heard from them yet.
Hey - sorry - I just realized this is an iPhone discussion group.  Can't figure out how to delete this post.

  • Why don't all the mailboxes illuminate when I'm trying to move/ save an email

Why don't ALL mailboxes highlight when I'm trying to save something

You can either leave it in the Inbox or move it to one of the non-greyed out folders. If you havn't got any non-greyed out ones then if your email account is an IMAP one then you should be able to login to your account on a browser and create new folders there, and they should then appears in the Mail app. If it's a POP type account then unfortunately you're stuck with what you've got.
You can also, for example, copy-and-paste it into another app e.g. if it's plain text you could copy-and-paste it into Notes

    Back up all data.
Triple-click the line below to select it:

Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select

  • Time doesn't update periodically, links don't open in emails, turning off and on at least once a day...any ideas why???

I'm having to turn off and on my iPhone at least once a day to update time, and/or to receive texts that are not coming through when they should've gone through.  Also, why don't the links open when i click on them from my email?  Also, phone has to reconnect to wifi every time I unlock it.  Any recommendations???

First thing to try is a reboot of your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
This is something that often cures strange problems like yours. I hope it works for you.

  • Why don't the photos load properly

When i scroll through my photos in my library (in loop mode) why don't the photos load properly and the photos still blurred?

LR may not have rendered the necessary previews yet.
Did you render only minimal previews in your import settings?
How big have you specified your standard previews in your preferences? It should match the screen you are mostly using for image viewing.
Then you can invoke the command to let LR render standard previews from the Library. LR will first scan how many previews it already has, then actually create the missing ones.

  • Why don't i get answers of security question to my email address ??

Why don't i get answers of security question to my email address ??

We wouldn't know that. They could be in your Junk email box, or the Rescue email address that you have on your account may not be what you think it is. Just FYI - the Rescue email (where that email would be sent to) is not the same as your Primary Apple ID email.
If you are not seeing the email at your Rescue email address, contact Apple Support to get them reset:

  • When I edit a contact's email address and then type the name in the Mail App, I see both the new and old address.  Why don't I see only the new email address?

When I edit an email address in the Contacts App, and the type the Contact's name in the Mail App, I get both the old and new contacts.  Why don't I get only the updated email address?

Mail remembers previously used email addresses for a period of time. Those you no longer use will eventually disappear. After you have sent one or two emails to the new address the old address will move below the new one. Then after a period of time not sending to the old address it will disappear. Patience is the key.

  • Hey apple, why don't you just fix your email forwarding?

There is a lot of problems described in this comunity about icloud email forwarding.
Personally I, spent a lot of time to make this fa***g email forwarding work. But it doesn't work.
I started yesterday, but only today morning I got an email from apple that it is enabled. But it doesn't work.
If it is not work properly - just disable it and people won't spend a lot time wondering it is work or not.
Also, I have tried to setup google POP3 "Check mail from other accounts" , but icloud mail doesn't support POP3 protocol.
So, apple, why don't you just fix your email forwarding? or disable it forever?

The email is sent to your recovery email. That email is not the same as your Apple ID. If you haven't assigned one with your Apple ID do so here > https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/

  • Why don't AM or PM appear on my emails?

I set my Mac to 24 hour clock. It works perfectly in my lists of emails sent and received, but the times displayed on actual emails are ludicrous. Examples:
    01:59 shows as 1:59:16
    16:22 shows as 4:22:00
My desire is to have the emails showing 24 hour clock time. Logically, having set the system thus, I'd expect that to occur. Can anyone help me with a solution, or is it bad programming?
Alternatively, I could live with the times shown on emails, provided that AM or PM showed too. I tried to achieve that, without success. Here's what I did:
System Preferences>International>Formats>Customize. Then I made the following selections:
    * Short. (So why are seconds showing on emails?)
    * 01-24.
    * Before noon: AM.
    * After noon: PM. (I reinstated the AM & PM after I didn't get 24 hour times on my emails.)
I should be very grateful if somebody could advise me how to get AM & PM back. As shown in the two examples early in this posting, 12 hour times without AM or PM are totally confusing. How to kill seconds would be a bonus, but I can live with seconds.
Please, when replying to me, no "computer speak". I'm new and should be grateful for blow by blow instructions.

Thanks for your latest response, David. I'm going to reply to your queries, in the order in which they appeared in your posting.
Q: Does the problem persist if you quit Mail and open it again?
    A. Yes. It has persisted for many days, with nightly computer shutdowns.
"> surely the Short choice means no seconds?"
Your first paragraph stated that having the Short option chosen "has absolutely no effect on whether applications will use it for displaying date & time information." That leads me to advise you how I achieved 24 hour time in Mail. I followed the advice of Michael Lafferty in the iCal forum, about how to achieve 24 hour time in iCal. It worked and, as a bonus, gave me 24 hour time in the Mail message list. Unfortunately, it gave the crazy, inconsistent times on emails, which are the topic of this thread. Michael was answering the topic "24 Hour times in iCal" and the posting was at 6:42 PM on Feb 18, 2006. Here it is:
This is a goofy Mac OS X 10.4 thing.
Launch System Preferences and open the International preference pane in the Personal panel. Press the Formats tab and then the Customize… button in the center, under the Times section.
Under the Show: Short menu, you should see two values listed, the first representing hours, and the second representing minutes. If you click on that first value, you should see a downward-facing triangle. Press it to drop-down a menu on the right hand side of the value, and select the 01-24 format choice. Press the OK button, and quit.
iCal should display 24 hour times from that point on, though some users—all or most using releases prior to version 2—indicating that existing event times don't shift to 24 hour representation. All of mine did.
    PowerBook G4 12 867 MHz 640 meg 40 gig SuperDrive Mac OS X (10.4.5) paired with a Treo 600 on the T-Mobile network
    End of quote.
Knowing the above may help you to determine what happened. It may also make your third paragraph question redundant, but I shall answer it , in case it is still relevant. I dragged the Mail display so wide that it took up the complete width of the Mac's screen. The time display was unchanged. It continued to hug the right hand side of the display, but with lots of empty space between it and the previous column.
Returning to my problem, I was concerned that recipients of my emails would get the ambiguous and confusing times shown in para. 2 of my original posting. However, today a friend sent me a reply including my original message. Instead of showing the ambiguous time that was on my version of the email, it had it nicely expressed as a PM time.
While I'd prefer that unambiguous times appeared on my version of emails, ( that is, as shown on my screen, ) I could live with garbage times, if I were sure that recipients would receive 24 hour, or AM/PM style times.
So, my acceptable solutions, starting with my favourite, are as follows:
    1. 24 hour clock on my version of emails and on the recipients'.
    2. AM/PM on mine and the recipients'.
    3. Ambiguous on mine, provided I could be sure that recipients would receive intelligible times. My message list would show the correct times.
I do realise that I could revert to AM/PM in iCal and in my Mail message list, if none of 1 to 3 were possible.
I suspect that you're like me: like to resolve a problem! I suspect that I've given you a juicy one here and I really appreciate your help.

  • Why are my inbox emails being deleted

I've looked at related posts but none seem to solve this problem: Inbox emails are automatically being deleted. Occasionally a "inbox folder is full" message briefly appears, but before any action can be taken, the emails disappear. Repairing the folder doesn't work and no settings have changed. Recent messages still appear on webmail (Cox). Retention settings are set not to delete mail, and server settings are set to leave messages on server until I delete them.
