Why email sent for password change "sent successfully" but never arrives

I am frustrated beyond measure! I need to sign in to Firefox, Mozilla, or Thunderbird but it won't accept my password and when an email is sent to [email protected] to reset password it never arrives.
Note: This started after I could no longer click on any link in my email and access website/link. If I type in or copy link address and paste into my google browser it can't find it and says it is not a correct address.
This just started 4-5 days ago.
I receive other emails and have checked settings, filters, restarted Thunderbird, Firefox, run diagnostics to no avail.

ok, I am confused, but I think no more than you.
Thunderbird stores your passwords, it does not allocate them or reissue them. Mozilla have no idea what your mail accounts or passwords are.
You can apparently log into this site (your posting here), and this site is what any password reset mails would be about if they come from Mozilla.
I strongly suggest you log into your web mail at delextreme.com and look in the trash, spam. junk and any other folders your mail provider may ave stuck them into. Password reset emails regularly go to spam or trash. Mail providers just do what they like.
Notre that is you click a link and chrome can not find the link it is not a problem with your mail client. It may however be a problem with your anti virus (modifying the links to protect you from yourself) or a DNS issue preventing the sites from resolving. (contact with your isp may well be required to fix that)

BT Email consistently wants password changed

Hi all,
One of my customers called me a few days ago, her email wants the password changed everytime she logs in.
After doing some searching on her settings through Chrome, there was a "reply to" address that was obviously a spammer.
The sending name had also been changed from her name to Mr Nobert Benard, the email address in the reply to section was something like andrewyoung***@yahoo.com. The *** were numbers but I can't remember what they were.
I've updated her information and removed this spammer. I can't find anything else in her settings that would require changing, there are also no false sub accounts.
Is there anything else that I need to do?

I presume you will have done this but if not, give her advice about spam emails and not to click on links. BT will never ask her to verify account details or passwords via an email.

Did you restore the phone as a new device when you did the restore/unlock, or did you restore it from an existing backup? I have found that when unlocking an iPhone on the AT&T network, you don't get the message that the unlock was successful if you don't restore as a new device. The unlock still works, you just don't get the message. Perhaps it is not carrier specific for this behavior.

Not receiving Email - log says Email sent successfully

Hi,
I'm not receiving Email though log says that Email message is sent successfully. And there are no errors in the log file. I know the external email system is configured properly as the same system is working correctly in some older project. This project also has same configuration but we have this issue now. Any pointers on how to resolve this issue? I'm using JCAPS 5.1.3 on Solaris 9 server.

Emails sent by javamail not arriving

Hi,
I have a webapp running on tomcat, which uses javamail. Tomcat is running on a hosting service. I have javamail pointing to smtp host = localhost. It sends email to gmail and hotmail successfully but it fails for yahoo. I check yahoo and see nothing from my server. I checked my server's inbox and there isn't a message rejected notification from yahoo. Does anyone know why email is successfully getting to other email services like gmail and hotmail but not yahoo.
A snippet of the code sending the email is at the end of this message.

Most likely the spam filter at Yahoo is trapping your message.
Once the message gets to your local mail server, it's out of JavaMail's hands.
You might want to check the logs in your mail server to see if the message is
actually getting sent to Yahoo, or if there's problems at that level.

What password are you talking about? What did you reset?
When updating to iOS 7 the process will ask you to set up a four digit passcode as a security feature. If you created a passcode there then that is what you are being asked when you first turn on your iPad or when you wake it from sleep after an Autolock. If you cannot remember or do not know your passcode take a look at this Apple support page:

I think you can achieve this using WORKFLOW. In SU01 there is an option to enter email ID , I believe.
Try exploring more about the options in SU01, you may find an option to achieve requirement.

User name sent to my email address, but never arrives. Has Firefox been hacked and user info being sent to the wrong people?

Had some issues with Firefox 35.0.1 trying to post on this forum. Fox would not accept my login, so I requested to reset my password. Password reset O.K. still a no go, thought my login was bad and requested them send my "User name" (same email) User name never arrives. I had to create a new account on the forum to post this question as I can't get my old login to work.
Anyone else having this problem or has Firefox been hacked and my "User Name" sent to someone else?

Can you try to recover the password with the email and private message me a timestamp. I can ask an admin to take a look at the technical side of what is happening, the email is removed from the public thread, however it may be necessary to investigate. Do I have a virus on my iPhone 5C? Why didn't a password change solve the problem?

My Windows Live Email that I only use on my phone is sending out emails to my contacts, and I changed my email password, but I am still having the problem. This is embarrassing because I have many professional contacts saved in my email. I don't know what to do. I really hope someone can help! My phone is from Asurion. This is not due to malware on your iPhone. There is no known malware capable of infecting an iPhone, unless it has been jailbroken (ie, hacked to run apps from outside the App Store).
Someone hacked your e-mail remotely. Changing your password should remove access, but the spammer can still spoof your e-mail address on the From line and continue sending messages that look like they're coming from you. There's not much you can do about that except alert your contacts and wait for the spammer to stop and move on.
Alternately, some e-mail accounts provide features that can allow a hacker continued access even after you change the password. GMail, for example, has a delegation feature that can be used to give someone else access, and hackers have been known to use this feature to maintain access across password changes. I am unfamiliar with Windows Live Email, but you should check for any similar delegation features.

You want to add a user to the system or to a user application? If it's to the system then you need root priviledges. You can assess and manipulate (to a certain extent) the username and password files on the system using the nispasswd and passwd commands. If you have some user applcation for which you want to create users and passwords then you can use the NIS (Network Information name Service) system. Type man nis for lots of information.
