Why has Trusteer Rapport disappeared following upgrade to Firefox 7

Yet again, the Trusteer Rapport plug-in has disappeared following a "security" update, the 4th since 17th August 2011, now to Firefox 7.0.1. Why does this keep happening?

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive & clear caches.)
Any change on normal boot after that?

It is not possible to delete Safari, it may have moved to a different screen. Do a search for the app or you can click on your settings>general>reset then select reset home screen layout.

I also had to remove all entries for April 1st . I just hope you havn't any friends on Facebook that have a birthday on that day. I think I may have just upset someone by de-friending them on Facebook, to remove the event from the calendar. There was no other way to remove it. Lets hope they fix it soon.

Why can't I access new upgrades in Firefox 4?

Just upgraded to Firefox 4 and completed restart, but nothing has changed. The browser looks the same as version 3.6.16. I see no Firefox Button, the Awesome Bar does not work, the Reload/Stop have not been combined into one, the Home button has not been moved, etc. When I check About Firefox, it says I have version 4. I even restarted in safe mode with everything disabled and still nothing.
Any ideas why I'm not able to access the new features?

The new interface is only default on Windows Vista and Windows 7. To get it on Windows XP you need to hide the menu bar. To do that in the View menu select Toolbars, then click on the "Menu Bar" entry.
If you need access to the menus you can press either Alt or F10 to temporarily display them.
To combine the stop-go-reload buttons, right-click on a toolbar and select customize. Now drag and drop the stop and reload buttons onto the right hand side of the location bar in the order reload-stop

Why has everything I was following disappeared?

Whenever I saw a post that I found worthwhile to remember, I marked it as "following" to have it listed in my account content view under "Following", similar to bookmarking, which has only been introduced recently.
When I browse "following" under my content tab now, it is completely empty: Dude!
I have previously turned the following of some forum spaces on and off in order to see if it helps to receiving email notifications according to my account preferences, which for some reason did not work, but if this was the cause why I lost the information of everything I also following individually, then I would consider this a real annoying bug or serious shortcoming of the forum software that people should be warned about. Sorry, that's completely useless.

I don't think it's about them being 'reset'... I think it comes down to Jive's concept of 'spaces' rather than forums. When content is 'moved' it's not really moved... it as if it's 'shared' with the other space, so it becomes visible in both in terms of tracking it... even if the threads primary location resides in another space. It's as if the Jive developers thought that people would always post things in a suitable space but there was a need to allow things to be shared between spaces if it was relevant to more than one. It's certainly not a 'move' in the conventional sense of forums (or most other forum software)

Why has my music disappeared and how can I get it back?

So its been a few weeks since I last used my iPod Touch (3rd gen, 64gb), and this evening I decided to resync it with iTunes as I had added a couple of new albums these last few weeks (Coldplay and an xmas album, not that it matters of course). After syncing, my iPod now only shows these two albums, but not the other 50gb+ that I have on there. They're still showing and playing in iTunes, and everything checks out when the iPod is connected.... it shows I have it filled with the right amount of audio/apps/etc. But no matter how many times I resync, the old music just isn't showing up on my iPod anymore. I've synced plenty of times before without having any problems.
Anyone have any advice? I'd prefer to fix it without wiping if possible, as 55gb of music and apps takes a **** of a long time to restore.

I am not sure if my problem is identical to yours but will post what I have discovered for the missing Greenday music from my daughter's ipod. It has been an aggravation to have to keep putting this music in and after a period of time, it disappears. This is what I have discovered as of yesterday. I hope it helps someone.
How to keep music/picture files in your ipod:
I have noticed that my daughter's music and pictures that have been put in her ipod from our PC files happen to disappear at random times. The photos have disappeared twice and the music 4 times. I think I have finally found a solution to this problem.
When you are in itunes, you will notice that music files have checkmarks beside each song. The downloaded music files (bought from itunes) are the ones that always stay in her ipod. It is the PC transferred music that disappears. This holds true for the photos too. The ones she takes with her ipod don't disappear but the ones we put in her ipod from our PC do.
When in itunes, you will see the checkmarks beside each individual song when under music category. That is the itunes menu and the songs that have checkmarks that are your PC files, do not automatically sync each time that you sync your ipod. The downloaded stuff from itunes automatically does, by default, so I will explain what needs to be done so that your ipod knows this too.
Connect your ipod into your PC. Go into itunes. Click on "ipod" (under "Devices" in left hand column) to whatever you named your ipod. We call my daughter's "marley". So click on "ipod name". On this page you will see your ipod name, capacity version, software version, serial #, etc. If you want your music, the categories are listed at the top of this page, so click on music. You will see, at the top, a checkmark beside "sync music" and boxes underneath with "selected playlist, etc." and other boxes with "include....etc.". Put checkmarks in boxes for which you want. At the bottom right hand corner, you will see a box called "Albums". In this box, anything that you have downloaded from itunes is checkmarked by default but any files that you have put in from your PC will be unchecked. Put checkmarks in these boxes, click "apply", and sync your ipod after doing this. You shouldn't lose these files again.
The same thing applies to photos. Go back to main ipod page mentioned above. Click on photos. There should be a checkmark in "sync photos from my pictures". Also the circle with selected photos should be filled in. Underneath that you will see "Folders". Put checkmarks in the folders that you want. This should help you to not lose photos. I have not had issues with video, etc. as we have not put these type of files into ipod yet. This has only applied to music and photos as of this post.

I just had to swap my iphone 5 for a fresh handset, then was prompted to update my software, and now my hotspot has gone missing!
I have tried to reset the network/system settings, so where has it gone??

Then its clear you need to enable it by contacting your carrier or via the method you suggested. Once it has been enabled everything should be fine.

Why has my timeline disappeared!

I have built some pages in Dreamweaver that use the animation
feature to rotate message posts and content windows. I got it
working nicely then handed them over to a developer to put the code
links to our admin system in. He does this is Visual Web Developer.
When I reopen a page in Dreamweaver to tidy things up, the
timelines for the page are no longer visible in the timeline window
(though all the code is present). The results is a real mess.
Can anyone suggest what has happened? I need to get my
timelines back!
I am using Dreamweaver V 8.

Why has Mountain Lion disappeared from my Purchased List in the Apple Store?

When Mountain Lion came out, I purchased the upgrade and installed it one one of my MacBook Pros. Today I wanted to download it again on my other MacBook Pro and install it there. It doesn't show up in my "Purchased" apps in the Apple Store.
I had some serious system errors a few months ago, took this MacBook Pro into the local Apple Store and they reloaded Mountain Lion for me. Did not erase the purchase history? I really need to upgrade the other MacBook Pro.
Help? Someone who knows the solution to this, please respond quickly.

Problem solved. I called Apple Care and was on hold with three different people, but they finally got me to someone who could check my previous Apple IDs. I had downloaded it under a different Apple ID than I'm now using. When Apple changed from me.com to iCloud.com I found the transition very confusing. At that time I changed my apple ID from just a five letter ID to that same five letters with an @me.com after it, [email protected] I had forgotten how that went as the conversion was confusing to me. It wasn't necessary for me to change my Apple ID. Now I have two.
So, I logged in with just the XXXXX and was able to get into my previous Apple account and there were seven apps there listed as purchased, including Mountain Lion.
So, I'm now downloading the Mountain Lion upgrade App on my wife's MBP and it is coming down, slowly. It's going to take an hour or more to download 4.44 GBytes (probably a couple of hours as I remember from the first time I did this).
So, thanks for your trying to help solve this riddle. I've given you a Star that you helped me. Do appreciate your help and sticking with me the past hour or so.
I was impressed with Apple Care. They really tried hard to help me. Almost made the cost to put this MBP under Apple Care worth it (over $300). Sad thing is that I spent over three hours saving $20. Should have just purchased the Mountain Lion upgrade again under my wife's Apple ID. Lesson learned.

No Music! Why has my music disappeared??

I recently bought a new cd off iTunes and while skyping I transferred it to my iPod. It failed, and when I ejected my iPod it said I had no music!!!! What happend? Now when I plug it in iTunes says that I need to restore it and it does not recogize my settings(i.e. name of iPod) What do I do? I have so much music that is only on my ipod and not on my mac!

Why has the arrow disappeared when I respond to an email?

When I respond to an email, I used to see an arrow. Now it is there only intermittantly.

It is the arrow that indicates that you have replied to an email. Or if the arrow is straight, you forwarded it. Now I have to look at my sent messages to see if I responded.
