Why i do not have "Custom" category when trying to add a new web part
I have deployed a .wsp solution to my web application as follow, using Visual studio:-
But when I try to add this web part to my brand new enterprise wiki site collection, I can not see any “custom” web part area as follow:-
Baring in mind that we have an old site collection also of type enterprise wiki and is inside the same web application, which have the “custom” tab visible as follow:-
Hello john,
did you try to disable and enable again the WebApp feature that hosts the webpart, on central administration?
If it's not working, try to change the scope of you feature to "site collection" instead of "web application"
now i try retracting then re-deploying the farm solution again but still it will work on the old site collection only.
Now seems i am a bit confused as i do not have much knowledge in developing solution. now the solution i deployed is mainly for fixing Redirect problem in SharePoint managed metadata navigation, the OnInit method is as follow:-
protected override void OnInit(EventArgs e)
var request = HttpContext.Current.Request;
var response = HttpContext.Current.Response;
if (!String.IsNullOrEmpty(request.QueryString["TreeField"])
&& !String.IsNullOrEmpty(request.QueryString["TreeValue"]))
response.Redirect(String.Format("{0}?TreeField={1}&TreeValue={2}",
SPContext.Current.ListItem.ParentList.DefaultViewUrl,
request.QueryString["TreeField"],
request.QueryString["TreeValue"]));
else if (!String.IsNullOrEmpty(request.QueryString["TreeField"]))
response.Redirect(String.Format("{0}?TreeField={1}",
SPContext.Current.ListItem.ParentList.DefaultViewUrl,
request.QueryString["TreeField"]));
base.OnInit(e);
and the solution have the following settings inside the visual studio , where the Site URL refers to my development machine URL . but this did not cause any problem inside the live serve old site collection:-
and when i deploy the farm isolation i did the following steps :-
- I copy the wsp from the visual studio project.
- Then i run the following command inside the Live server "stsadm -o addsolution –filename [c:....]\WikiKnowledgeBaseRedirect.wsp"
- Inside the live server i went to "central administration>>system settings>> Manage farm solutions>>click on WikiKnowledgeBaseRedirect>>click on deploy solution >>select the web application from the “Deploy To?" drop
down".
now as i mentioned before the wsp worked well inside my old site collection, although the site URL refers to the test server site collection (not sure if this was overridden when I deployed the solution to live server). but inside the new site collection
i can not find this solution inside the "site setting>>site collection features" nor inside the "site settings>>web designer gallery>> web part"? can u advice based on the above ?

Get the following error when trying to add a new user on Mac OS Server 10.5 - Error of type eDSSchemaError (-14142) on line 1235 of /SourceCache/WorkgroupManager/WorkgroupManager-421/PMMUGMainView.mm
How come Leopard let me use the WGM in standard mode?
While SA complains that it won't work in Standard Configuration, WGM does not. There is some fault in the logic of this for which I don't have an explanation.
If I want to get control on Dock, selection of Home folder, config of Proxy... which I think are basic things, do I really need the advanced mode?
If you wish to have complete control of all client settings, yes. There really is no disadvantage of using an Advanced configuration other than the learning curve.
So if I switch to advanced mode, there is good chance I won't get this error message anymore, right?
Yes. -

I have encountered the following behavior when trying to format a new drive with disk utility. This description has also been send via the Mac Pro feedback as a bug report to Apple.
On searching the web and forums with this particular error message and behaviour I could not find any usful results. So maybe the following description may be helpful for some users.
Best regards.
1. Drive Bay 1 contains the original 250 GB Startupdisk. It works without errors.
2. Drive Bays 3 and 4 contain each a WD Caviar Black 2 TB SATA 3 HDD. They work without errors.
3. I have purchased a third WD Caviar Black 2 TB HDD.
4. In Drive Bay 2 there has been a Seagate 750 GB HDD, which worked in conjunction with all the other drives without error.
5. I exchanged the Seagate HDD in Drive Bay 2 with the new WD Caviar Black 2 TB HDD.
6. On starting the system, it will report to initialize the new drive.
7. On trying to initialize the new drive with disk utility it reports the error [translated from German] "Erasing of the volume has failed. The device could not be opened."
8. I thought that the drive is faulty. Thus I created an RMA-Case at WD. They exchanged the drive without problems.
9. On getting the exchanged WD Caviar Black 2 TB drive I put it in Drive Bay 2 as before.
10. On trying to erase and format the exchange drive I got the same error message "Drive could not be opened."
10.1 On selecting the physical drive in the devices list, disk utility reports all information in the bottom area of its window as usual, e. g. hard disk description, connection bus, type and place, capacity, write status, SMART-status, partition scheme.
10.1 On leaving that drive selected in the devices list and clicking the info-button, disk utility will also report additional information as usual, e. g. Name, Type, partition scheme, media-identification, media name, media type, device tree, … , number of relocated sectors, etc.. All this information appears to be valid, as can be compared to the other devices information inside the other Drive Bays. Also the disk numbering scheme appears to be standard - 4 HDDs give the numbering disk0, disk1, disk2, disk3.
10.2 From that information I conclude that the SATA-bus and connectors electrically work properly, the drive has spun up and can be accessed by the system normally.
11. I powered down the computer, took out the HDDs from Drive Bays 3 and 4 and put the caddy with the new exchange drive in Drive Bay 4 [Maybe, I could have also just left it alone in Drive Bay 2, or 3].
12. After powering on the system, disk utility will quick format the exchange drive without any error message. Also, when erasing again by selecting the option to write zeros to the drive, disk utility will finish without error.
13. After disk utility finished formatting, I put back the original drives into Drive Bay 3 and 4 and put the now newly formatted drive back into Drive Bay 2.
14. After switching on the computer the system start and login proceeds without any error message. All drives appear as expected on the desktop.If anyone is reading this still looking for what caused the issue and how to fix it here is what I discovered.
The antivirus program our company uses, Bitdefender Antivirus Plus, was causing some of the PDF files not to open. After troubleshooting the different modules and settings the culprit was..
Scan SSL in Privacy Control Settings. Turning it OFF solved the problem and all the PDF files that previously would not open now open just fine. This issue has been sent to Bitdefender for them to review. If you use a different antivirus program and are having this issue try locating the Scan SSL setting and see if turning it off solves the problem. -
CSM 4.1 Authorization error when trying to add a new device
Hi, i just finished installing a new CSM 4.1 and i set it up to use the local windows user accounts for its administration. So when i login to the CSM i use the same username/password as the one used to login to the underlying Windows OS.
When i am trying to add a new device in CSM i get an error saying that i do not have enough rights to do that. Any ideea why this happens?
Thanks,
CostinYou seem a little grumpy. Yes, it has acurred to me that no one knows the solution. And no, I have not called tech support yet as I have been distracted lately and spending an hour on the phone trouble shooting is an hour I could be studying. Its much easier to "bump" this thread and hope someone with a suggest will chime in.
Anyway, please dont just tell me to delete something without giving me an idea of what Im deleting. I have a feeling that this login.keychain deletion will cause me to loose the information already stored. Is this the truth? -
Get an error when trying to add a new object!
Post Author: zhaodifan
CA Forum: Administration
I was trying to add a new object from central management console and I got the following error:
Retrieve Error
There was an error while retrieving data from the server: Failed to read data from report file C:\WINNT\Temp\pres_report.rpt. Reason: Operation not yet implemented. File C:\WINNT\TEMP\tmpreport\~ci226c521bf2923e0.rpt.
The report I am trying to add was running on a Linux box with the same version BusinessObjects Cyrstal 11 running. I want to move it to a Windows box... The report itself shouldn't have problems because it was running fine on the linux box...
Also want you let you know that I don't know too much about Crystal Report and our Crystal Report admin quited his job last week! I will be very appreciated if anybody can give me any advice. Thank you!

Error when trying to add a new item in table
Hello I have this error when I want to insert a record in a table of the year 2010,
Warning: mysql_num_rows(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/content/r/e/l/reliefsale/html/php/reliefsale_functions.php on line 16
I have 3 more years 2009, 2008 and 2007, when I want to insert a new item in any of the other years, everything works fine but in 2010 any ideas??
ThanksHi there,
better post your question in the regular Dreamweaver Application Development forum where a wider group of users might be able to reflect on your issue and help you out. The current forum deals with questions which are related to the Dreamweaver extension ADDT, which generates non-standard PHP code code and has been discontinued over a year ago.

Feedbag Error 5 when trying to add a new buddy/person
This is a simple problem.
Using my AIM account I can add a new AIM Buddy to my Buddy List and chat, video or audio with no problem.
However, if I switch to my normally active .Mac account I get an error "Feedbag error 5" that prevents me adding the AIM to my Buddy list.
So. it works with AIM account but not .Mac. What am I doing wrong, if anything?This person is not in my address book. I have entered their AIM screen name correctly and, yes, selected AIM as the account type. I've even entered them in my address book and have the same issue.
If I log in using MY AIM account 'terrabytejunky' then I can add them to my 'terrabytejunky' Buddy list and chat. Everything is fine.
But if I log in using my .mac account where I have all my other Buddies listed, then if I try and add their AIM screen name I get the error "Feedbag Error 5" -
Why does Lightroom not have custom keyboard shortcuts?
Lightroom is a workflow app. It's not just about raw conversion, which could be done in ACR, but about speeding up the whole process of selecting, editing and cataloging photos.
It seems to me that out of all Adobe apps, Lightroom is the one which should have customisable keyboard shortcuts.
I've been using lightroom since shortly after it came put and I've been using the open-source plug-in keyboard customizer Paddy for several years which works okay at the moment. Each lightroom release breaks Paddy in some way and it's not as smooth as it could be if it was built in. Even so, I estimate I'm 2-10 time faster editing many photos with paddy than I would be without.
I know that even adobe's resources are limited, but adding keyboard shortcuts should be easy, certainly compared to re-verse engineering RAW file formats or fixing complex lens distortions!
At this point it seems clear that Adobe are choosing not to let us customise keyboard shortcuts. I'm not trying to change their mind, but I really want to know w
It perplexes me, why don't Adobe add what seems liek a simple feature which could speed up Lightroom use by an order of magnitude???On Victoria Bampton's website she has a downloadable PDF file named "Adobe Lightroom 5 Windows Keyboard Shortcuts." (Windows, not sure about Mac). Its about 12 pages long. I assume that this is what you are looking for. www.lightroomqueen.com.

Why do I not have internet access when my phone says it's on LTE?
I am currently having internet connectivity issues. My phone will say it's on LTE, but when I try to use an app that requires internet connectivity, it says that I need to check my internet connection. I can't refresh facebook, check e-mails, or send iMessages. When I join a Wifi network, everything works as it should. I've tried doing a soft reset on my phone multiple times by holding the home and sleep button down until the phone reboots. I've also restored network settings, but nothing seems to be helping. Just wondering if anyone had any tips before I had to take it into the Verizon store.
meganweers,
I am sorry you are having these issues with accessing the internet on your device. Thank you for all the troubleshooting you have done thus far. Have you tried to remove and reinsert the SIM? http://vz.to/1irq2bL Are you able to send text messages and use voice just fine? Are there others reporting the same issues with data connection?

Why is the "Choose File" button disabled when trying to add a photo to my account?
I have an iPad 1 and when I try to add a photo to my profile the "Choose File" button is disabled although I can choose a different Avatar. I suppose I could log in using my phone and try but that would defeat the purpose :-)

needing help to change apple id email address. I went in settings and changed the email but the new one isn't showing up Ive called different support numbers and I changed email but it still shows up.
If you are talking about app updates, these are permanently tied to the Apple ID used to purchase the app, regardless of the ID on your phone in Settings>Store. The only way to stop the prompt for your older ID would be to delete these apps from your phone. The ID in Settings>Store is the one being used for current purchases, not updates of apps purchased using a different ID.

Why did Maverick not enable me to access my Documents in the previous format (Grid) and when using the alternative I could not 'clik' to open them. The same applied when I tried to open documents from within my back up disc (LaCie). I had to reinstall 10.8.5 and back up from my LaCie (thankfully) to gain access to all my critical Documents? To deal with this I spent 3 and hlafg hours on telephone to Apple Support ( very helpful - but unable to resolve issues - then 3 hours in Apple Store (again very helpful but only able to assist by clearinng Maverick from my HD and reinstalling 10.8.5. Fortunately LaCie came to the resuce and I was able to back up Mac HD with all my documents but lost about one week of work....!!
Why did I not have the option when upgrading to Maverick to select the new 'Tag" system which I did not want?10.8.5 is the lates ML edition. I use TM and also carbon copy cloner as my second backup. If I were you and you have a TM backup prior to Mavericks I would try another restore at bootup. You should erase your drive first in that process using disk utitlites and then use TM to put back you apps and files. The other choice is to do an internet recovery and then use TM to restore your apps and files. That should fix the permissions issue. I did the same thing and all was OK including getting my original iPhoto progam (9.4.3), iphoto11 and photos back.

Class is not appearing in "Java Batch Job Class Search" when trying to add.
Hi,
I have oracle CC&B 2.3.1, with SDK 2.2.0.12. I am trying to create new java batch job class by copying an existing one and modifying it to be used with new Batch Control .
Steps are as follows:
1-Created file by copying the exiting file
CreateLatePaymentChargesProcess.java ; and only changing the name of the class:
public class CmCreateLatePaymentChargesProcess
extends CmCreateLatePaymentChargesProcess_Gen
File location :
D:\spl\ccb231\applycm\ssgc_patch\java\source\cm\ CmCreateLatePaymentChargesProcess.java
D:\spl\ccb231\applycm\ssgc_patch\java\source\cm\ CmCreateLatePaymentChargesProcess_Gen.java
2-Run ApplyCm build successfully , which generated these files:
D:\spl\ccb231\java\target\cm\com\splwg\ccb\domain\billing\batch\ CmCreateLatePaymentChargesProcess.class
D:\spl\ccb231\java\target\cm\com\splwg\ccb\domain\billing\batch\ CmCreateLatePaymentChargesProcess_Gen$1.class
D:\spl\ccb231\java\target\cm\com\splwg\ccb\domain\billing\batch\CmCreateLatePaymentChargesProcess_Gen$CmCreateLatePaymentChargesProcessWorker_Gen$ThreadParameters.class
D:\spl\ccb231\java\target\cm\com\splwg\ccb\domain\billing\batch\CmCreateLatePaymentChargesProcess_Gen$CmCreateLatePaymentChargesProcessWorker_Gen$ToDoProperties.class
D:\spl\ccb231\java\target\cm\com\splwg\ccb\domain\billing\batch\CmCreateLatePaymentChargesProcess_Gen$CmCreateLatePaymentChargesProcessWorker_Gen.class
D:\spl\ccb231\java\target\cm\com\splwg\ccb\domain\billing\batch\CmCreateLatePaymentChargesProcess_Gen$JobParameters.class
D:\spl\ccb231\java\target\cm\com\splwg\ccb\domain\billing\batch\CmCreateLatePaymentChargesProcess_Gen.class
All the above classes are part of CM.jar file
ContextManagedObjects.xml ; contains these information
<com.splwg.shared.environ.ContextManagedObjectData>;
<domainPackages/>
<lookupFieldClasses class="tree-map">
<no-comparator/>
</lookupFieldClasses>
<cobolAlgorithmInterfaceExtensions class="tree-map">
<no-comparator/>
</cobolAlgorithmInterfaceExtensions>
</com.splwg.shared.environ.ContextManagedObjectData>;
packageMetaInfo.xml was not created
Still the class is not appearing in "Java Batch Job Class Search" when trying to add a new program name referencing this java class.
I tried restarting the Tomcat application server, still not appearing.
Where did I go wrong about it?
Thanks

Edited by: ccb-user on Aug 7, 2011 11:36 PMHi,
Did you copying the base file CreateLatePaymentChargesProcess.java?
I also create a new batch job which copying the CreateLatePaymentChargesProcess batch code the only difference in getBills() method query and inner class CreateLatePaymentChargesProcessWorker extend CmCreateLatePaymentChargesProcessWorker_Gen, instead of CreateLatePaymentChargesProcessWorker_Gen.
The batch is working fine in my end.
Thanks,
Atul Singh.
