I am BEYOND frustrated as ****! It's been 1 week and I haven't been able to confirm my i-Tune account so that I can download apps for my i-Phone. I am SERIOSUSLY having DEEP regrets buying an i-Phone. I had a much easier time buying my home than getting my dumb i-Tunes account verified.
6 tiomes i-Tunes tells me a confirmation has been sent to my e-mail & it NEVER shows up. Spam filter allows e-mails from i-TUNES, NOTHING in my inbox or spam box. RIDICULOUS

Your description of the problem is a bit confusing. Do you have ONLY ONE Apple ID or do you have MORE THAN ONE?

What size does it say your back up would be.
Being able to back up to the cloud can be very useful, especially if you don't have access to a computer or have infrequent access to one, however unless you specifically need to use iCloud for back up, you will find backing up to iTunes significantly more convenient and possibly more reliable.

The problem with making separate accounts is that this is a laptop, so likely not a huge hard drive, and if the three iTunes libraries need to have a lot of the same music (because everyone or two or three like some of the same stuff) you end up with double or triplicate copies of the music on the hard drive eating up drive space. Since they don't use his laptop normally, creating more accounts (with all the associated files and drive space usage each account would eat up) it probably isn't worth it.
Instead, the best approach is like Chris said, to make playlists for the girls in the main library and then set up the various iPod to either sync everything (if big enough) or sync only specific playlists (if not big enough).
Alternatively, they can set their iPods to manual syncing and then when Dad is visiting they can hook up their iPods and "shop" the library and drag in whatever they want to add to the iPods and delete what they no longer want.

Are you meaning 2 different accounts or 2 different libraries?
Launch iTunes with the 'Option' key held down and follow the dialog as to which library you want to open.

Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs.

Cannot get to the menu to deauthorize old computers on my I tunes account

Did not deauthorize an old computer and reached the 5 computer liom it. Trying to sync an I phone on a new computer and first deauthorize all old computers. I followed the instructions to click on the I tunes store menu and login to my account and click again on my account, but I cannot get to the menu to deauthorize old computers on my I tunes account.

Did you follow these instructions? Go to the iTunes Store>click your email address at the top right>enter your password and proceed to Account Information>press the Deauthorize All button.

Can anyone tell me why I can't activate my iMessage account on my Macbook?

Recently updated my late 2009 white Macbook to OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.2 and purchased an iPhone 5. I have been trying to activate iMessage on my Macbook but every time I enter my Apple ID information, I receive a message that says "Could not sign in to iMessage. The server encountered an error processing registration. Please try again later."
I have been trying to activate this account for a few weeks now and I get the same reply every time. Can anyone help me out?
Update: I just updated to OSX 10.8.3 and still no luck.

This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. For instructions, launch the System Preferences application, select Help from the menu bar, and enter “Set up guest users” (without the quotes) in the search box. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode* and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Shut down your computer, wait 30 seconds, and then hold down the shift key while pressing the power button.
When you see the gray Apple logo, release the shift key.
If you are prompted to log in, type your password, and then hold down the shift key again as you click Log in.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
*Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of steps 1 and 2.

When sending an e mail I would like confirmation that it has been opened / read by the person (s) it has been sent to.

I found something online which does the job very well.
PLEASE NOTE: I did not create this but I couldn't find the link to the site I found it on initially, so apologies to the original write for not giving credit.
Paste this into Script Editor and make into an application.
Double clicking on it will present you with a dialogue box asking which account you wish to use (if you have multiple accounts) and will then pop up a normal compose mail box.
For some reason if you have images attached to your signature it doesn't display them when you compose your mail but it will still send them regardless.
Obviously this is subject to the receiver having a mail client that will accept read receipts.

How can I have multiple I-tunes accounts on the same computer?

So I have a mac, and my brother has his i-tunes account on it. Earlier today I set up my mom's account. All of my brother's songs were on her account, and when I deleted a song from her library, it was also deleted from my brother's library! My mom wants to upload all of her CD's onto her account, but if it is also going on my brother's account, he won't have anymore space for his songs. Is this normal? How do I get these two accounts to have nothing to do with each other? They don't want the same songs as one another.

Yes. Get an external hard drive if you need more space.
Everybody should have their own copies. Sharing copies of music does not work for long, since one person's change can affect others, as you observed.

You can't have multiple IDs associated with an itunes account, but you can have one ID one 1 device and another one, but currently its impossible to merge accounts.
