Why is Firefox using 50%+ of cpu activity and the longest time
Checking Task Manager after frequent slowdowns and almost cont. disk activity ,I found in a 100h system idle time the highest user is firefox at 4h and 1.2million I/O writes. This happens after periods of not using the machine (left on) . At times it hogs all the resources even after just waking up the display with screen rewrites taking seconds and with no requested net activity. This can also happen in the background.

Did you use Firefox to download something to that external media?
If so, try clearing the Downloads Manager. -

Hi. Yes, you can use Sync on multiple devices at the same time. I use it to keep my bookmarks in sync across my desktop and Android versions of Firefox.

We have created two partitions in removable drive(USB). One of the partition is active and the other is hidden. We are trying to access the hidden partition in Win PE 3.0 environment using WMI. VBScript code snippet used to detect the partitions is given

It will return the partition which is active but fails to list the partition which is hidden. The same piece of code was supported on WinPE 2.0I am giving the complete code, may be you are able to understand better. We are using Win32_LogicalDisk to retrieves the complete information of all the drives (like C:, D:) including removable drives.

I don't know why when i used a new apple ID and new icloud ID all my information is done. My contracts are all gone. This only happen on on phone. When i was changing the other phones it works fine. Nothing is lost. So i dont understand when i was changing the apple ID and icloud Id the information is lost. You know when you go to setting and you click iCloud and i saw that the contracts book was light on. Does that matter? Does that cause i lost my contracts?
I don't think the iPhone is really designed for people to be switching from one Apple ID to another so when you do so you may experience problems. You have two options on the iPhone for where you can be accessing contacts, from iCloud and the iPhone itself. You can also pull contacts off of a SIM card but they are then stored on the iPhone and not accessed from the SIM card.
You could try this;
1. Go to Settings > iCloud
2. Sign in to the Apple ID that you want the Contacts from,
3. Turn "On" the Contacts slider and let it download all of your contacts
4. When it's done downloading, turn the slider back to "Off" and you should get a message like this..."What would you like to do with the previously synced iCloud contacts on your iPhone?"
5. Then select "Keep on My iPhone"
Then after that you can then sign out of that Apple ID and into your other Apple ID and the contacts shouls still be there. -

Sorry to say it, but this is normal for Apple TVs. I've owned a TV2 and a TV3, and neither lasted for an entire year. They are quite fragile and of low quality, and as you can see here, quite fussy even when they work. The wi-fi receiver on these are cheap and unreliable.
Consider the $99 an annual rental fee. They rarely work for a whole year, so if you are going to use the platform, you will have to replace them constantly.
Also, when one dies under warranty, never, never send it to Apple for repair. Go to the Apple Store for replacement. I sent my ATV3 in for warranty repair using a box sent to me by Apple, and although FedEx tracking showed it was accepted by Apple, it was never seen again. Apple won't replace it or even return my calls. -
Is there a limit of macs using one and the same time capsule at the same time?

You can use multiple computers at the same time.. if you use wireless it will go very slowly while they are both running backups.. it would be better to stop the backup on one and wait a half hour and then restart it.. that should displace the time it backs up by half hour.
The max number of computer is however many people can stand it with the speed.. the actual client limit is 50.. but you would start having seizures long before you get there.. a rule of thumb is 10 clients per AP.. and even then it is going to be slow if all are active at the same time. -
Sometimes, after its been going quite a long time. a Firefox window top bar goes weird, and the window controls at extreme top right disappear, making it impossible to resize or close the window. The only solution I have found is to individually move the tabs to a new window. The original (bad) one then disappears as soon as the final tab is shifted.

You shouldn't download Adobe software from anywhere but the adobe.com domain. If you download it from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ you will get an opt-out for Google Chrome (or McAfee, or whatever is on today's menu):
Better yet, use the offline installers that were posted earlier.
While I use many Google products and services, Google Chrome is not one of them. I especially don't like how it installs, setting itself as the default browser without asking, and when you uninstall it, it will remain the default browser, which of course causes lots of problems. -

Yes. I do. I use the Trackpad to make fine adjustments for video edits.

Why is it so hard to do things right the first time?
My company is no longer providing Blackberry phones to its employees. So I decided to upgrade my personal phone, change my plan and try to minimize my monthly bill increase. I went with the S4, share everything with 4GB of data. I questioned the sales associate, "will this work with Good Messaging service? I have the feature number if needed." The associate said, "No it will work fine." He then asked another associate, "Right, Good Messaging will work with this share everything plan?" and the other associate confirmed. Walked out with my new phone, plan change and a $10 a month increase. When I got home I set up the Good Messaging app and work emails were available. I didn't have a good feeling about the associate having to ask again and before I decommissioned the Blackberry I wanted to triple check the Good Messaging/Enterprise data feature was part of my plan. I opened up a chat with an online associate and asked the same question... "Can you please verify the feature...?" Online associate again confirmed, "Yes, this feature is included in your plan.". I arrived at work the next day and received an email from the company support team stating that my Good Messaging service had been set up, but that my wireless plan did not appear to have the "feature" included. The email requested that I call Verizon and ask them to add the feature. I contacted Verizon immediately, informed them of the situation and conversations with other associates, the phone associate verified that I did not have the feature on my plan. She then added the feature and noted that this would increase my monthly bill by $15, asked if there was anything else, nope, and asked that I have a great day!
I'm frustrated simply because 3 Verizon employees verified that this feature was included in my plan! I'm not sure why it is so hard to do things right the first time.Update: A couple of weeks ago I called Verizon back again after speaking with my company. The woman on the phone was very apologetic after hearing the story above. I then stated that people at my company reconfirmed that the service should be $5 not $15. She took a minute to look up the feature and said it didn't appear to be available to me for $5, but was fully aware of the feature being available for $5. She stated that she would credit my account for $10 and find out how to add the service at $5 and contact me when this was done. Finally, I felt like I got some progress.
A couple of days later I received a phone from a VZW specialist (or some other title, don't recall). The gentlemen asked about the past issues if I still had any concerns. I stated the previous person I had spoke with provided me with a $10 credit and was working on adding the feature for $5. I asked if he could confirm. He pulled up my account and stated the feature was not available to me for $5. I read him the announcement from my company regarding the "special plan" they had worked out with Verizon and he stated my account was still showing under a previous company that I had worked for. He then proceeded to say that this was probably the reason why the $5 feature was not available to me and that I should which my account to my current company. The next day I tried to switch my account to my current company and I kept getting an error message stating that I needed to contact support.
I finally got around to contacting support today and mentioned that I was trying to switch my account to my current company discount plan. I told him that I was unsuccessful trying on line. He pulled up my account and checked if my current company had a discount available. He couldn't find any discounts. While he was on the phone I went online and filled out the getdiscounts form. Got the email to my corp email and read off the discount amounts from the email. I then tried to make the changes online again and it worked. He verified the change had taken place and I asked him to confirm that the good messaging service was showing at $5. Nope it was still showing as $15. I briefly informed him of the history and asked me to hold. Came back about 30 seconds later and stated the feature is $15 for my account and there is no $5 feature.
So after 10+ years of loyal service to Verizon, I've almost completely lost all confidence in their ability to service correctly the first time. -
PLEASE help!! I use Outlook for my email and the Mail App Icon that is in my dock, that I know nothing about, was also storing all my emails. So, I tried to delete ONLY the emails in the Mail App but somehow (under Preferences maybe?) I also deleted ALL my OUTLOOK emails in my inbox. Can someone please please tell me if there is a way to get my Outlook inbox emails back OR EVEN the emails that were in my Mail app - because even tho I never use the Mail app, at least the emails would be there.
When I was trying to delete the emails in my inbox for the Mail app - I followed THESE directions. It did in fact clear my inbox for the Mail app. But then I went to log on to my Outlook account and EVERY SINGLE EMAIL was gone. And not in the Deleted box. Just gone. Here are the directions I followed that screwed everything up. Please help.
Top menu bar, Mail > Preferences > Accounts > Mailbox Behaviors.
Uncheck "Store deleted messages on the server".
At the drop list for "Permanently erase deleted messages when", choose "Quitting Mail".
Next...
Top menu bar, Mail > Preferences > General.
At "When searching all mailboxes, include results from", uncheck "Trash".
Select All = command Ai found out my prob!
here is what you do.
go to the "system preferences" on your dock.
click "software updates".
click "installed software"
if it shows something about a recent update about "EFI UPDATE, FIRMWARE, THUNDERBOLT" or anything like that, exit out of it.
go to mail.
click "mail" at the top.
click "preferences...".
find the account you are having trouble with, once you do, make sure its highlighted, then click the "-" at the bottom of the window (this will only effect that mail account, it will not effect your ical weather or not its synced thought that email account)
hit the "+" (right next to the "-") and add your accout back!
