Why is the repair process so long and painful for a item that is still under original factory warranty
The repair process for items under original factory warranty are unacceptable as it takes way too long to get in touch with a repair representative or get a repair performed. Meanwhile I am without my Sony 4k tv. The whole long process has been a complete nightmare and I am seriously regretting my decision to purchase a Sony tv as well as debating if I will ever buy another Sony product. I would love to share my story with a supervisor as I had asked to speak to one and was told I can't.....even after several kind requests. I want to offer constructive criticism as I can see on many forums people are losing faith in Sony and their products. Can a supervisor or someone with some authority contact me? Hi David. I'm in the exact same boat. I have a $2500 projector (HW40) that started giving trouble. It's been 4 weeks now and no telling how much longer they will take to fix it. No communication either. The phone support is useless. You waste hours and hours (literally) on hold and getting the runaround. I'll never ever buy Sony again. I'm sharing my horrible experience on the A/V forums and have already steered quite a few to the Epson and/or JVC projectors. Sony will never get another dime from me.

I have been using LR4 to process my photos due to its image quality and its functions .
However I have always liked aperture for its file managmenet. when the 3.3 is out I thought

However over the weekend I have found out that doing a side by side comparision the Aperture's Raw (CR2) processing
is simply not acceptable. it is lack of sharpenss and high noise is nothing but a joke if you compare to the LR4.
I hope it is some setting that I am doing wrong so I went to the apple store, and ther" Creative" guys was not able to solve
the issues as well, so now I am back to square one. I have to use LR4 to process my photos and APERTURE to store them...
Any one has better ideas?

Lightroom's noise reduction is better than Aperture's on noisy images right now. Lightroom's controls can easily knock down luminance and chroma noise, while Aperture's tools are fairly limited. You can use 3rd party plugins (Nik Dfine, Noise Ninja, etc.) that will do a good job but that renders a TIFF file which I'm not overly fond of for just this purpose.
But, still, the 5D Mark III has awfully good noise performance. Are you shooting at ISO 12800 or higher all the time? Is the noise frequently visible in all of your shots when you're not pixel peeping?
I ask because, while Lightroom is certainly better w.r.t. noise reduction than Aperture at the moment, I don't have all that many of my shots that really, really need noise reduction. -
I have an older iMac 5,1 and the disc drive no longer works. I was hoping that I could the Apple USB super drive as a replacement, but the info on the super drive page says compatible with iMac 2012 or later. Does anyone know why it would not work for me?
A reply to similar question (Q & As , in product page Apple Store) says:
"...dissable the internal reader hardware from devices setup. Then plug the external usb superdrive and that's it." Answered by Enrique T from Lima Oct 25 2013.
If you can locate an external Apple USB 'Air" superdrive for earlier model MacBook Air, that should work. The newer one for the Air is the same as for iMac, now.
You may be able to use other brands of external USB optical drive with your older intel-based iMac, as some of them function capably. A few should also be able to see system discs or other bootable utilities on DVD.

why is the "buy all" no longer visible on my wish list? and it is not letting me delete items.?
The 'buy all' has, for some reason, been removed from the current version of iTunes - you can try leaving feedback for Apple and maybe it'll be added back in a future update :http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html . Until then you can only buy items individually.
In terms of the 'x' for deleting items from it, other people have posted about that and it's affecting me as well. I assume that there is a bug with the current version of iTunes and/or a problem at Apple's end which they need to fix. -
I had my photo stream on and my icloud all set up, i just had the screen replaced and they somehow lost all the photos off my phone, but why wont the photo's reload back on to my iphone now that im connected to wifi again, where are all my photos???
When photos are added to the photo stream album on a device (either due to a new photo having been taken or having been synced from another device using the stream) they remain in the album. However, the syncing process involves copying the photos to the photo stream server where they are kept for a maximum of 30 days, up to 1000 photos. If a device is reset or the stream is turned off or turned back on again (or in your case, the device was repaired), the photos that were on the device's photo stream album are gone and the only ones to appear are those that are currently on the servers (recall the 30 day limit).
If some of your photos are older than 30 days, then they are no longer stored on the cloud and hence are not synced down to the iphone.
Recall, photo stream is just a syncing service, it is not designed as a storage service for photos. Always sync photos to a computer for archiving. -

All one gets from the download drop-down menu is:
(480p), (240p) or (360p) for example and the name of the video of course.
The way it is now, I cannot identify the type of video I am downloading as I could before.

Your assumptions are incorrect. Not all Youtube videos are offered in other formats; some are only offered in FLV format. Generally, only the very HD ones are offered in MP4. The format in which videos are offered are the decision of Youtube and/or the original poster of the video.
I opted to not pay for the VDH converter. There are FREE converters that will convert FLV to other formats, but they do not interface with VDH. Even the VDH converter is a 2-step process (in both manual or automatic mode). The converter that is included free with VDH will put an ugly icon/watermark on your converted video--every frame of the video. To find a free converter, just Google "free flv converter" (with the quotation marks). -
Getting frustarted with itunes. I had to recently do a hard reboot ny iphone and attempted to sync my phone to get m apps back. When I go to sync my phone and it says,"The iphone could not be synced because this computer is no longer authorized for purchased items that are on this iphone". When I go to authorize it says it's already authorized. Help!!!!
I first called apple and they patched me to a technician who ran a test and determined that I had a virus. He gave me some price quotes and who to call. After my conversation with him, which I knew was BS btw, I immediatley called Geek Squad with whom my computer has a warranty through after they installed virus software on my new laptop (4 months old). I had a VERY long online session where they ran several virus test and found nothing. Although I was VERY happy that my computer didn't have a virus, I still had the problem of my itunes not working. After several hours, he made sure that all of my apps were down loaded, and then restored my iphone to factory settings, and sync my device. It worked perfectly and all and I mean ALL 240 apps were downloaded back onto my iphone along with my music and all of my tones. When asked why my itunes was acting in that manner the answer that I got was,"...apparently you had a correct file some where in itunes and everything had to be reset". Regardless, everything is back to normal and I don't have to get a new phone or delete itunes from my computer. Hope this helps!

My old PC died and I got a new one. I was able to back up the old PC and downloaded my iTunes library on the new PC. I keep getting a message saying: "This computer is no longer authorized to play purchased items that are on this iPod. Would you like to authorize this computer for the items purchased from the iTunes store?" I have authorized the new PC, but it continues to ask me over and over, and if I authorize it again, it tells me I already authorized. So frustrating! I deactivated the old PC and activated the new one.
Also, I purchased a song from iTunes store and while it shows in my library on the PC, it won't download to the iPod. Why won't the new song download to the iPod?

Trying to sync my iPod with iTunes and I am getting this message:"This computer is no longer authorized to play purchased items that are on the ipod"... I have deauthorized and reauthorized the account and still getting the same error. I have read and followed the instructions in the support article TS1389. I do NOT have an SC info folder at /Users/Shared/ directory to delete.
I just installed Lion yesterday, and am running iTunes 10.4. First attempt to sync since upgrade.

I "deauthorized" my old MBP and still told I cannot use my iPhone with iTunes.
Interesting that my old $2500 MBP, my new $3000 MBP and my $500 iPhone all cannot work cuz of some pinhead's decision to use this assorization process.

The SNMP Statistics Collection field on the Server Status|SNMP
Subagent Configuration form affects only the SNMP subagent, which is a separate entity from
the collector process (snmpcoll). Currently, snmpcoll does not look
at the SNMP configuration data when it starts up. It is started by
the dispatcher and terminates when the dispatcher terminates. Many
of the statistics are supposed to reflect cumulative values recorded since MTA
initialization, such as the total number of messages sent and received.
As a convenience, the collector process collects information in the
background even while the SNMP subagent is turned off; this way,
the values are available when the SNMP subagent is configured and
turned on.Collections fall off on the Date of First Deliquency 7-7.5 years later; that is supposed to be reported as the first time you went late (1-30 days) on the OC (original creditor) in the chain of events leading up to it's being farmed out for collection as I underestand it. DOFD though sometimes doesn't get reported right, and by default it will be the date the collection is added to the bureaus. As an example I have an awkward collection (not sure how I got it looking at the payment history thought I'd cancelled that account but TWC billing apparently didn't think so) which I went late on in 2009, but didn't get farmed out till late 2010. The DOFD is 6/09 looking at it, and it's expected to come off according to the bureaus 6/16 as a result. Different negatives have their own rules though.

I downloaded itunes onto my new computer, i connected my iphone during the updating process itunes failed and i lost all my purchased music from my iphone and can no longer retrieve them. I would like to know how i can reinstate the lost music please.
When you are done with this issue, consider the computer back at the office may still
have access to your iTunes account, and it should be de-auhorized. You can do that
remotely, but be sure you carefully do not mess up your other computer iTunes libraries.
