Why no docs?

Why there is no docs at http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/index.html on Oracle Enterprise Linux
Smith

Smith,
Oracle Enterprise Linux is based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux. For example, OEL5 is based on RHEL5 Advanced Platform. You can look at the following documentation for EL5:
http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/enterprise/#RHEL5
We do offer courses and certifications for Enterprise Linux via Oracle University:

    Hi
    when user1 create delivery doc. delivery note gets printed with output type WMTA after that user2 releases delivery through credit check (VKM5) this time again delivery doc. printed.
    why delivery doc gets printed when user2 releases the delvery doc from credit check.
    need your input
    thank you

    check in output procedure against your output - WMTA any routine is assigned, take help of abap and ask him t check the routine. Next check output program where system is not checking the processing status from NASt table before printing.
    May you need to write logic as above.

  • Why is Doc.closeDoc causing memory reference error?

    My script worked fine when I tested it with Adobe Pro.  It is only in Adobe Reader X that it crashes and closes the app.
    In LiveCycle ES version 8.2, I added JavaScript to do the following in the preSubmit event of a hidden Submit button:
    var currentDoc = event.target;
    var path = currentDoc.path;
    execMenuItem("SaveAs",currentDoc);
    var newPath = currentDoc.path;
    if (path != newPath){
         //re-open the original document (blank form)
         app.openDoc({cPath:path});
    //stop the submit event
    xfa.event.cancelAction = true;
    //close the current document (completed form)
    if (currentDoc.disclosed = true){
       currentDoc.closeDoc();
    From the JavaScript API documentation, I learned that the document has to have the disclosed property set to true to be available to other open documents.  I am doing this by calling a document-level function in the form1.docReady event, which I have verified is running when the document opens.  The original document is being opened, the saved document is being closed, but when the "Submit Cancelled" dialog box appears and I click "OK", I get this error:
    The instruction at "0xsomething" references memory at "0x00000010".  The instruction could not be "read".
    And whether I hit "Cancel" or "OK", the reader closes.  If I comment out the cancelAction, the same thing happens, only without the Submit Cancelled dialog.  So it must be the Doc.closeDoc that is doing it.  I have also tried putting the code in the postSubmit and setting a timeout, but in those cases the close never happened at all.

    Yes, I have read the JavaScript API.  That is how I found out about the "disclosed" property.  If it were a security or permissions issue, I normally find those while debugging in Acrobat Pro, in the JavaScript console.
    I know there are some things you can't do in Reader that you can do in Pro, but it doesn't make sense to me that closing a document should be one of them.   If so, why even have the closeDoc method?
    It seems like the document is closing before some other task can finish.  I also tried setting a timeout on it, but then it doesn't close at all.
    app.setTimeOut(currentDoc.closeDoc(),5000);
    One reason we have to close these documents is that after calling xfa.event.cancelAction = true, none of the select boxes or buttons work anymore.  It is unclear where to set this back to "false".  I tried setting it in the preOpen events of the select lists, but it had no effect.  It can only be called in preSubmit, preOpen, preSign, preSave.  So, I decided it would be better just to close the document.  When they reopen it, everything works again.

  • Why Oracle doc. talks of af: comps. for 11G when they're replace by tr:

    Hello All,
    This might be a very basic question but why does most of the ADF and JDev documentation on OTN gives code examples and explanations with <af:> component for 11G when this does not even exist in 11G?
    We just migrated from 10g to 11g and all the <af:> components were automatically converted to <tr:> components. Now when we go to Oracle site for documentation/help all the code examples are using <af:>
    See the follwoing site to see what I mean
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/adf/overview/index.html
    We are facing issues with some very basic topics like table height, PPR etc. but don't know where to turn to? Trinidad examples are just not enough (and not working for us :(
    Please help!!!

    The faces components used in 10g are migrated to the Trinidad faces components in 11g. The Trinidad components are using tags starting with <tr:.
    To use the adf rich faces, which are uning tags starting with <af: you need to create the app in 11g.
    Check out the doc http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/migration-082101.html

  • Why is Docs to go allowed to be sold as being able to function on IPAD3. The columns were blleding into the next column header and could not be accessed. Going into one cell gave me the forumula 4 cells down. Absolute rubbish. Moved to Quick Office PRO HD

    I purchased Docs to GO Premium as it was suppose to work on IPAD 3. On loading a spreadsheet the columns under the header columns (ABC etc) started to blled into the next column. It does not work on IPad 3.
    I swithced to Quick Office Pro HD. Absolutely fantastic App. I would love to get my money back for Docs to Go Prem (Rubbish)

  • Why the Doc does not magnify its icons ?

    Hi everybody,
    I'm new with OSX software. I bought a second hand quad-core Mac Pro computer. I installed the Leopard OSX. After a clean installation my doc is not magnifying the icons, I did until now at least 5 clean installation of OSX with same bad results. I called apple and they did not have any response so I decided to put this question through forums.
    I'm sure somebody can help a beginner like me,
    Thanks guys,

    Yes, please try to post a screenshot of your Dock settings. With the Dock settings displayed, press Command-Shift-4 and you will get a crosshair tool that will capture any screen area that you highlight by click-dragging. Your settings should look something like this:

  • Why the doc total amount is not matched with the total item line amount?

    Hi,
    Recently when i try to update something in sales order via my add-on, i got an error said u201CThere is a difference between the document total and its components.  [ORDR.DocTotal][line: 0] Iu201D Then i checked the sales order in SAP B1, I found the document total amount was not matched with the item line total amount. Actually the item line is quite simple, there is only one item line with qty 1. How comes the document total could be different with the amount from item line? I know the document total amount is a read-only field which is calculated automatically by SAP. This is really weird for us, we don't know how this happened.
    Has anyone experienced similar situation like mine and how this happens?
    Thanks,
    Lan

    I am having this same issue and I have additional information.
    I am on ver. 8.8 PL 16.
    Periodically (mulitiple times a week), when a Sales Order is created, the Doc Total amount is -zero- when there are clearly items that have a price associated with them. This causes an error when Adding the document. Sometimes, I can just change the quantity of one of the items, which forces the Doc Total to update.  Most of the time this does not work, though.  I end up having to restart the SAP client and then everything begins to work as it should.
    This behavior is occuring on mulitple machines in our office.
    Earlier in this thread, Rahul mentioned that they currency rounding was turned off and that this could be part of the problem.  In fact, we were having issues with Currency Rounding and did turn it off not long ago.  Rahul, can you explain better what you meant by "give the proper amount so that you can overcome the error..."

    Hi:
           Please follow as given and hopefully you will be able to resolve the issue.
    1...Go to SPRO...Financial Accounting....Bank...Business transactions...Payment Transactions...Manual Bank Statement..Create a new transaction with sign - and do not assign anything in posting rule for now and enter 15 in Algorithm field , save.
    2...In define posting keys and posting rules...create an account symbol for the one you did in step 1..In Assign account to account symbol please use account symbol created earlier and acc mode + and currency should be + too. In GL Account area please list the outgoing GL which you are using for outgoing postings..
    In create key for posting rule define a posting rule and now go back to step 1 and assign the posting rule you created to the transaction type
    In define posting rules please maintain posting rule as define above...in posting area assign 1. give nothing in first posting key.assign account symbol as created earlier...now give give posting key 50..give account credit Bank...and a suitable document you use for posting BRS...In posting type give 4.
    Your Manual Bank statement is ready ....
    Go to FS00 select your bank outgoing GL account there and in create/bank.interest tab double click on Field status group..in general data make assignment number mandatory for posting...
    Go to FB50....post and outgoing transaction using the GL given above it will require you to enter assignment number enter 123 and post.

    Hi,
    Can any one tell me how to generate .DOC output from Documaker like .PDF ?
    We need to change in INI settings. I tried and generated .DOC file but when i opened all are Junk characters in the Word document.
    Please help what changes exactly we need to make in INI files ?
    Note: I have tried generating .RTF format in the output.That's working fine. Then why not .doc ?

    There are a lot of options with the RTF Print Driver in Documaker and new features in 12.0 and 12.1. Be sure to review the documentation. To see what's available in 12.1 see the Printers Reference at http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E22582_01/printers_rg.pdf.

  • Cannot open doc perviously saved with pages v5.0. Message states need latest version which I have!

    Having created a new document using latest Pages ,v 5.0 (downloaded when I upgraded from Mountain Lion to OSX Mavericks) and saved it, when I try to open it, I get a message, " You need a newer version of Pages to open this document." The strange thing is that all my other previous docs created using iWorks , Pages, version 09, open successfully when I double click on them, although they now contain the "improvements" introduced by the upgrade to latest version of Pages. Can anyone suggest why new docs cannot open when created recently with the latest version.

    Pages 5.0 is indeed the latest version, but are you sure you're using Pages 5.0 to open the document?
    The Pages icon should look like this:
    If it doesn't, you're actually using an older version of Pages to open the document.  This is quite possible, because the Pages update didn't always place the new icon in your dock.
    If the new icon is not in your dock, find it in your Applications folder and drag it there.  You can drag the old one off your dock as well.

  • Cairngorm docs and confusion

    Hi,
    I've been using Cairngorm on a large project, my first time using it.
    I'm a little confused by what is happening with Cairngorm.  The only reason I used Cairngorm over the others is it's endorsed by Adobe, but it seems from my point of view Adobe has giving up on it, because I am not seeing anything change in the documentation.
    An example, is I found this presentation at Max
    https://share.acrobat.com/adc/adc.do?docid=bc5b2ad3-e2c4-4891-a6df-74ce010e9821
    Alistair explains in the slides a lot of things that go directly against what I have read in the Cairngorm Docs.  So, apparently I'm making big mistakes by including properties in my modellocator, not using objects in the model, and not using a Presentation Layers, etc, etc.
    Also, the slide show has no audio or video, so I have no way of learning more of what he is really saying.
    I'm confused why the docs have not been updated to reflect the slides, and also why we can't listen to the audio/video to learn more about how we SHOULD be using Cairngorm.
    Can someone please clarify on what Adobe is thinking?
    Thanks a bunch.

    I recently completed a project using the Cairngorm framework. I didn't draw the same conclusions from the documentation as you seem to have done.
    The framework is supposedly providing an MVC (model-view-controller) implementation for the Flex environment. The MVC pattern is an object-oriented architectural pattern that has over time migrated or been replaced by MVP (model-view-presenter). The model in MVC was never a single object or class. It was a model built of objects. I would compare it with building a relational database model except that object-oriented models are really about behaviour and not simply data. I would expect that a model had a number of classes, collections of objects, and relationships between objects.
    The model in the RIA (Rich Internet Application) can reflect the model of the underlying database (i.e. a business model) or it can reflect the requirements of the view (presentation model). In our system, we tended toward the presentation model. At least that is how I would describe it. I noticed in Alistair's presentation that he referred to different models. We did this in our design as we recognized that a particular view or collection of views had their own data requirements. A single model becomes overloaded and difficult to maintain if it contains everything in the system. It also becomes difficult to manage.
    There are a couple of other things that I tried to do. I tried to ensure that the view was an MXML file with no Actionscript and was only updated through data binding. We did have a Actionscript file that was inherited by the MXML but the MXML file was not known by the Actionscript super-class. I enforced this with the view that we could test drive from the Actionscript file and consequently most of the behaviour of the system.
    There is one last thing that I would say. Any design pattern / architecture is the basis for proven solutions. It will need adapted for the particular problem being solved. As such, I see the Cairngorm framework as providing a set of conventions that aid in the implementation of the MVC pattern. Those conventions will need adapted for the particular system being implemented.
    I back my opinion is based on some research that I recently conducted on the perceptions of practitioners of an object-oriented program. What I would describe as expert object-oriented programmers expressed the view that I have described above. Some went further and said that they were patterns of thought that they used but that their designs may or may not accurately reflect all of the design pattern or architecture. They preferred to have the software tell them what changes are needed. Telling means that the programmer recognises the code smells and corrects them. A skill that I would admit that I haven't yet fully mastered.
    I hope this helps.

  • How do I get the actual signature to show in a document using XI?

    Been using Adobe for years and with the new update to XI I am having a heck of a time getting the signature to show in the document.  To check this I opened another document and was easily able to grab my signature and place it where I want.
    For some reason the document I was sent allow for me to sign electronically, but when I choose to do so, I'm asked first to draw a box to where the signature is to be placed, then another dialog box opens asking for the file.  I was not able to find a place to add a new signature by using the methods used previously.  I have a signature in a file and has been used many times for other .pdf docs with zero issues.
    Not sure why this doc is giving me issues.  The document sent to me is showing its from Adobe 7.x! Not sure if that is the issue, as it could be the problem placing the signature.
    Please advise to try and get this resolved.

    Hi,
    I assume when you say "another pop up" you really mean that your seeing this dialog...
    Let's start with some nomenclature so we are on the same page. What you are trying to do is create a "digital signature" and in order to do that you need a "digital ID". To think of this in physical world terms, the PDF file is a piece of paper, the digital ID is the pen and the digital signature is, well the signature. In order to create a digital signature you must have something to sign with, and that something is a public-key based digital ID. This digital ID can reside in several places. It can be in a password protected file and the file would have either P12 or PFX as the file extension to the file name. The digital ID could be locked onto a token or smart card, in which case you would get access to it using a PIN instead of a password. It could also be locked into the Operating System. On Windows that would be the Windows Certificate Store (think of "store" in this case as storage, not a market place), and on the Mac it would be the Keychain Access application.
    So the question is, do you currently have a valid digital ID (they do expire) or do you need to procure one? My guess is you need to procure a new digital ID and this is where you are being tripped up.
    If you do need to procure a new digital ID, the next question is, do you need to get a high assurance digital ID from a trusted 3rd-party Certificate Authority (you, as the signature creator are the 1st party, and whomever you send the signed PDF file to is both the signature recipient, and also the 2nd party). The thing that makes a Certificate Authority (CA) trusted is because they will do identity vetting in order to ensure that you are who you say you are before they issue you a digital ID. When you get a digital ID from a CA you can think of it as a drivers license or password, not for what they allow you to do (drive a car or cross a border), but rather as a trusted and generally accepted piece of identification. Yes, a digital ID issued to you from a CA allows you to sign data just like a pen, but more importantly it acts as a trusted piece of identification. All that said, if you don't need a high assurance digital ID that proves you are who you say you are, then you can create your own digital ID. In that case the digital ID is really just a pen for signing and does not provide any trust regarding your identity. The advantage to creating your own digital ID is it's quick, easy, and free. The downside to getting a digital ID from a CA is it is time consuming and not free.
    Since your have started down the path of creating your own digital ID already let's finish with that workflow and leave it for later to see if that meets the identity requirements of whomever you are sharing the signed file with. If you are seeing the dialog above select the bottom radio button next to "A new digital ID I want to create now", and then click the Next button. The contents of the next dialog you see is as dependent on whether you are on Mac or Windows. On Windows the next dialog asks you where you want to save the digital ID, either in a password protected file, or in the Windows Certificate Store. If you select the File option you will be asked to provide the password every time you sign a PDF file, whereas with the Windows option when you log into Window that provides the authentication to access the private key in the digital ID and thus when you sign a PDF file you won't be asked to provide a password. If you are on a Mac since saving the digital to a file is the only possible option this dialog is skipped. The next dialog is where you enter the information that you want contained in the digital ID that identifies you as the signer. If you've already filled out the Identity panel on the Preferences dialog then that data will be pulled in, but if not you you are going to need to add at a minimum a Name and an Email address, and then click the Next button. If you are saving the digital ID in a file, the next order of business is to pick a location where you want to save the file you are about to create and assign it a password to protect the private key from unauthorized access.  You're now on the last dialog for digital ID creation so you can click the Finish button.
    This takes you to the Sign dialog. If you already had a valid digital ID to sign with you would have seen this dialog right after you inscribed the signature field and would have shipped all of the digital ID creation dialogs. If you saved your new digital ID in a file the Sign dialog will ask you to provide the password you just used (don't forget this password because you'll need it when you want to sign files at some later date). Enter the password and click the sign button. You'll be asked where you want to save the signed file (you can overwrite the existing file if you like, or you can save it as a new file), and once you've done that you'll have a digitally signed PDF file.

  • Payment made twice for an invoice

    Payment made twice for an invoice.We have posted an invoice on 23.11.2008 in a company code for a vendor,then F110 was run on 24.11.2008 and was paid.Then again on 25.11.2008 payment was done for the same invoice.The clearing doc of payment run on 25.11.2008 is reflecting against the invoice.Hence reversed the payment done on 24.11.2008.
    Pls let me know how can p[ayment happen twice for an invoice thru F110.

    hi,
    It'll never possible to make a payment for the secondtime, unless you reset the earlier payment run in SAP.
    I hope U have reset the payment done on 24.11.2008.  thats the reason why, clearing doc related to 25.11.20087 is displayed against in the invoise. please check.

  • Line Items

    Hi All,
    I would like to know why the Doc. number ( or order number) is considered as a Line item dimension whereas others are not? I know this is being a high cardinality but, what exactly it does to increase the size of the dimension table? If someone can explain me in layman's terms, it will easier for me to dig in more depth.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    When compared to a fact table, dimensions ideally have a small cardinality. However, there is an exception to this rule. For example, there are InfoCubes in which a characteristic document is used, in which case almost every entry in the fact table is assigned to a different document. This means that the dimension (or the associated dimension table) has almost as many entries as the fact table itself. We refer here to a degenerated dimension. In BW 2.0, this was also known as a line item dimension, in which case the characteristic responsible for the high cardinality was seen as a line item.
    Hope it Helps..!!
    Thanks,
    Shreya
