Hello Gurus,
           In one Z program  i found one table K820082 . I never seen. Pls can you tell me why this is used? I found so many tables are there like K820083  and so on and also K81***** tables are so many there . why these tables are being used? IS there any like between COSP table and CE1****** tables. Pls convey clearly

Hi Ramachandra,
The tables you have mentioned are mainly generated tables for summarization levels. These tables hold the summarize data of CO-PA. You can check the tables in your summarization levels.

  • Code review : why table name is invalid

    Greetings all,
    I have written the following code to check if any column is null for all rows in a table. I'm confused as to why the column name is recognized but not the table name. If the table name is hard coded, executes.
    Any and all assistance is greatly appreciated.
    declare
    l_null_cnt pls_integer := 0;
    l_sql_stmt varchar2(100);
    l_col_name user_tab_columns.column_name%type;
    l_tbl_name user_tab_columns.column_name%type;
    begin
    for x in (
    select table_name, column_name
    from user_tab_columns
    where nullable = 'Y'
    and table_name = <TABLE_NAME>
    loop
    dbms_output.put_line(x.column_name||' '||x.table_name);
    l_col_name := x.column_name;
    l_tbl_name := x.table_name;
    l_sql_stmt := 'select count(:1) from :2';
    execute immediate l_sql_stmt into l_null_cnt using l_col_name, l_tbl_name;
    case when ( l_null_cnt = 0 ) then
    dbms_output.put_line(x.column_name||' column is NULL in table '||x.table_name);
    else
    dbms_output.put_line('Column not null');
    end case;
    end loop;
    end;

    Try some thing like this,
    Not tested.
    DECLARE
       l_sql_stmt   VARCHAR2 (100);
       l_cnt        NUMBER;
    BEGIN
       FOR x IN (SELECT table_name, column_name
                   FROM user_tab_columns
                  WHERE nullable = 'Y' and table_name = 'UDFACTPROVIDERS'

             || x.table_name
             || ' where '
             || x.column_name

    OK, I figured it out myself. :)
    Turns out when I define the queue name in the AQ Adapter definition, I was specifying "<Default Schema>" as the schema name. When I changed this to my actual schema name (eg: "SCOTT"), it worked. Nice little bug there!
    The reason it broke with the example program is because I was changing the schema name before I deployed it. As I didn't have a SCOTT schema.
    So the moral of the story here is, don't use "<Default Schema>"!
    I was running on 10.1.2.0.0 [build #1787 ]. In case anyone wants to fix this.

  • HOw can i show a table(name given in parameters) in a report program

    I made a report in which there is a paremeter asking for a table name ....
    PARAMETERS TBLLE_NAME(10) OBLIGATORY.
    Now when I enter the table namke then how can i show its values....
    HINT:- We have to use fiels symbols....AND THE USER CAN ENTER ANY DDIC TABLE NAME having some records ...........

    You can display the contents of the DB table inputted using ALV.
    Pass the Structure name as the DB table name inputted.
    Use CL_ALV_TABLE_CREATE=>CREATE_DYNAMIC_TABLE to create the dynamic table of the same structure as the DB table passed.
    Once the above steps are done, the internal table with data can be displayed using ALV.
    Reward points for all helpful answers.

  • Table Name in OOPS ALV HotSpot click

    Hi Team,
    I am displaying 3 ALVs in a single screen using set_table_for_first_display (say Table A , table B , Table C).
    In the screen i have used 3 custom controls to display each ALV.
    Now i have a need to put a hotspot event for some fields in each ALV.
    I want to know the internal table name / custom control name on which the user clicks so that I can write the respective code .
    I am able to get the field name through e_column_id-fieldname but since all the 3 internal tables have the same column names it doesnt help.
    Can someone help me how to get the name of the internal table/custom control ?
    Thanks.
    R Adarsh

    Hi,
    It is not possible to get the Internal table name and container used in displaying the ALV.
    But while populating the Fieldcatalog if you are passing the internal table name then you can try this way..
    1. In the User command Subroutine...you can call the grid method GET_FRONTEND_FIELDCATALOG which returns the fieldcatalog which is used..from which you can find the table whcih is used.

  • Passing table names through variables

    Hi All,
    Is it possible to pass the table name in a query using a variable.
    For example - can we perform a select on a table where the table name is passed using a variable.
    Pl assist. Thanks.

    Hello,
    Are you wanting to do this in a procedure? Say the table name being passed in as Input Parameter?
    We can do that using Dynamic SQL:
    CREATE PROCEDURE "PROC_01"
    (IN v_IN_Var1 NVARCHAR)
    LANGUAGE SQLSCRIPT AS
    BEGIN
        DECLARE ABC NVARCHAR(300) := NULL;
        ABC := 'SELECT * FROM ' || :v_IN_Var1;
        EXEC (:ABC);
    END;
    CALL PROC_01 ('DUMMY');
    But the only thing is you'll not be able to see the result set directly.
    You might wan2 fire the select to insert the data into a different table.

  • Value set table name in fusion app

    Hi Team,
    Can any one please tell me the table name which is used in fusion app to store the value set name which we create.
    Thanks,Ajay

    Sorry for the confusion, the FND tables are indeed in the OER and the FND_VS_VALUE_SETS can be found there. There is a data issue where content (prior of R8) was in correctly categorized such that its not available under "technology" product family and my query failed since used combination of both criteria. In any case just use "All versions" for the version criteria and the data will be returned. They are internally working to fix the product family for previous releases..

  • Getting information about table names & other meta data

    Hi,
    I want to know about DatabaseMetaData & how to acess all table names & other metadata using JDBC-ODBC as well as direct drivers
    can i get code for converting one type of database file to other.
    Idesperately need this code.
    please............

    While most RDBMS implementations are stored as flat files, you cannot normally directly 'convert one type of database file to other'. DatabaseMetaData will give you a list of tables, views, schema, columns, etc. You can then create your own dynamic SQL statement, SELECT the data from the legacy RDBMS and INSERT into the new RDBMS. Otherwise, I'm not sure how you would accomplish a conversion without knowing the internals of the database or special software.

  • Table name issue accessing OATS schema using OBIEE

    We are attempting to integrate OATS 12.1 with OBIEE 11g for reporting purposes and encounter the following error when using the BI Administration tool to update a row count of a physical table or query using the Analysis tool against our target OATS schema. For example:
    There was an error while updating row count for
    "OTM.atg.com".."OTM"."View_Tests":
    [nQSError: 17011] SQL statement execution failed.
    [nQSError: 17001] Oracle Error code: 942, message: ORA-00942:
    table or view does not exist
    at OCI call OCIStmtExecute: select count(*) from
    OTM.View_Tests
    I tried this out with other tables such as "TO_TestCase"
    The reason for this error seems to be that our target schema contains tables that have quotes in the name when the table was created, which I understands enforces the preservation of letter case-- i.e. "Mixed_Case" names. Since this is not "our own" application, we don't really have any control over how the schema is created or the table/views named. Interestingly enough, the table appears in the BI Administration with the expected table columns, but the querying for row count and data fails.
    One way we've worked around this is to manually create a VIEW of the table of interest in the target schema using all capitals. This works, but seems unnecessarily messy, especially if we are interested in using a VIEW that is already created as part of the schema.
    I also found the following various discussions about setting the NQSConfig.ini file on line, but changing the value and restarting the OBIEE server doesn't seem to make a difference.
    # Case sensitivity should be set to match the remote
    # target database.
    CASE_SENSITIVE_CHARACTER_COMPARISON = ON;
    Are there other ways to get OBIEE to recognize mixed-case table names?
    Thanks!

    Bad day for good code. Have yet to spot any posted today... Sadly, yours is just another ugly hack.
    The appropriate method for using SQL*Plus substitution variables (in an automated fashion), is as command line parameters. Not as static/global variables defined by some other script ran prior.
    So if a script is, for example, to create a schema, it should look something as follows:
    -- usage: create-schema.sql <schema_name>
    set verify off
    set define on
    create user &1 identified by .. default tablespace .. quota ... ;
    grant ... to &1;
    --eof
    If script 1 wants to call it direct then:
    -- script 1
    @create-schema SCOTT
    If script 2 want to call it using an existing variable:
    -- script 2
    @create-schema &SCHEMA
    Please - when hacking in this fashion, make an attempt to understand why the hack is needed and how it works. (and yes, the majority of SQL*Plus scripts fall into the CLI hack category). There's nothing simple, beautiful, or elegant about SQL*Plus scripts and their mainframe roots.

    KrisAre you saying you just need to access the database using different accounts? If that is the case, why dont you just update the connection pool settings like username and password with XXOBI_APP account which you are supposed to be using for OBIEE?

  • How to get table and column names thats being used in SQL , that's generating all my reports on SSRS.

    Good day,
    I searched through the forum and cant find anything.
    I have around 300 published reports on SSRS and we are busy migrating to a new system.
    They have already setup their tables on the new system and I need to provide them with a list of table names and column names that are being used currently to generate the 300 reports on SSRS.
    We use various tables and databases to generate these reports, and will take me forever to go through each query to get this info.
    Is it at all possible to write a query in SQL 2008 that will give me all the table names and columns being used?
    Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
    I thank you.
    Andre.

    There's no straightforward method for that I guess. There are couple of things you can use to get these details
    1. query the ReportServer.dbo.Catalog table
    for getting details
    you may use script below for that
    http://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/scriptcenter/42440a6b-c5b1-4acc-9632-d608d1c40a5c
    2. Another method is to run the reports and run sql profiler trace on background to retrieve queries used.
    But in some of these cases the report might be using a procedure and you will get only procedure. Then its upto you to get the other details from procedure like tables used, columns etc

  • How to use bind variable value for table name in select statement.

    Hi everyone,
    I am having tough time to use value of bind variable for table name in select statement. I tried &p37_table_name. ,
    :p37_table_name or v('p37_table_name) but none worked.
    Following is the sql for interactive report:
    select * from v('p37_table_name') where key_loc = :P37_KEY_LOC and
    to_char(inspection_dte,'mm/dd/yyyy') = :P37_INSP_DT AND :p37_column_name is not null ;
    I am setting value of p37_table_name in previous page which is atm_state_day_insp.
    Following is error msg:
    "Query cannot be parsed, please check the syntax of your query. (ORA-00933: SQL command not properly ended) "
    Any help would be higly appreciated.
    Raj

    Interestingly enough I always had the same impression that you had to use a function to do this but found out from someone else that all you need to do is change the radio button from Use Query-Specific Column Names and Validate Query to Use Generic Column Names (parse query at runtime only). Apex will substitute your bind variable for you at run-time (something you can't normally do in pl/sql without using dynamic sql)

  • Can substitution strings be used for table name references?

    Hi,
    I was wondering if it's possible to use substituion strings for table names in SQL queries. This would allow for me to edit all references to a table at one location. For instance, if a table name or dblink changed, I could edit the substitution string or application item to ensure all the queries reference the new table.
    For example:
    select * from &table1.
    table1 would be the substitution string for the actual table name
    I know this is possible if I used a pl/sql function returning a query, but I would much rather use a substition string in a SQL query.
    Thanks in advance.
    Brian

    i think not
    because how create the fields of * in this case
    in the other because all is dynamic, i think that you obtain only an error
