Why the schema isn't created?
When I created my username, the related schema isn't created. Then the objects I create under my username all go to SYS's schema?
Anyone can tell me what's the problem?

Hi Snow,
Schema is a logcal collection of database object. You don't create them. They are automatically created.
You create a user.(no schema yet)
You log on as the new user. (no schema yet)
Now you create a table(or any other database object). (now schema is created.)
It definetley does not go to SYS schema.

The files are all there after installation, without the temporary names. So it doesn't seem to be a big problem...

resolved in one of the post-s10_69 builds. Please download the
official Solaris 10 initial release and by all means, let us know if you

My program is using Queue of type Uri to create Queue of urls and then i'm using webbrowser to navigate each Uri from the Queue in it's turn and get the url(html) source content and save it to the hard disk.
The problem is sometimes the text files on the hard disk are small like 90KB or 60KB and sometimes they are as they are suppose to be 300KB or 200KB.
This is a button click event where i'm calling two methods:

In the completed event i'm getting the page number and build the string for the text file then write the html source content to the text file.
In the end i have on my hard disk 48 text files.
The problems are:
1. Sometimes it seems like it's not finishing navigating to the current uri or maybe some other reason maybe server side problem and creating small size files with source content inside but not all the source content. Sometimes the text files size are each
file 99KB or 70KB and sometimes the size of them are about 300KB and 200KB and this is the right sizes 300KB 200KB.
2. The text files on my hard disk suppose to be 48 different files each file should contain the source if the html page of the 48 pages. But on my hard disk the 48 text files are duplicated for some reason.
This is the file on my hard disk:
Some of the files are 205KB 350KB 175KB and some of the files sizes are 85KB 94KB 35KB
Why some of the files it didn't navigated to the end or maybe didn't got all the source ?
And why it's making each second file the same like the one before ? It suppose to create 48 different files but i'm getting two identical files each navigation.I solved it now.

Why the HTML copy when creating Flash?
Just started working with Flash and I noticed when I publish
a page that I'm working on Flash creates a HTML version as well.
What I am working on will be placed within an existing site which
is all html. Not sure the reason for the additional html page and
what to do with it. Sorry if I'm a bit dense about this but ya
gotta start somewhere.as to what would be used for? the HTML? It provides the tags
for proper display of the SWF. From the

The question is, can we create a application schema user and provide read/write privileges to the repository and then create odbc connection to this application schema instead of repository schema?

I suggest that you use the proxy rather than a direct connection. Search this topic in this forum.
If you decide to keep your idea here's how :
REPOSITORY_SCHEMA (OWNER SCHEMA):
GRANT SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE ON EACH <PD TABLES> TO <APPLICATION_SCHEMA>
(PD tables usually begin by PM%, actually PD does not use VIEW, SEQUENCE objects)
On Application Schema : Create as many synonyms as there's table to go to the schema owner
Example : CREATE SYNONYM PMTEMP FOR <OWNER_SCHEMA.PMTEMP>
Ask to your Oracle DBA. It can do, he know how do.
Warning : When you do an update of PD you will have to check if the privileges are gone,if SAP has added new tables, etc.
I do not think it's a good idea to follow this path

When i print to adobe pdf from word the document isn't saved anywhere
I have installed the trial version of adobe acrobat xi pro so that I can print to pdf. I have successfully done this from email etc but it will not work in word. I go to print document select adobe pdf as printer and it comes up with the save window I create a file name and that file is then nowhere to be found at all. I have run search on the whole hard drive and I am choosing where I want the file as normal and it is definitely not there. Using a PC running windows 7
Did you pay attention to the path of the save window? Is it possible there is a log file instead, that likely gives information on why the PDF is not created?
Try printing to file in WORD (please pay attention to the folder when you do this). The file created is a PS file, probably with a PRN extension. Then start Distiller and open the file in Distiller. Do you get errors or is the PDF created? If a PDF is created, then it is likely that you have not enabled AcroTray that should be running in the background. What version of Acrobat are you using? There may be an issue with the version. -
I have tried several different Facebook covers I created in PSE 13 and cannot upload any of them to Facebook. I have authorized PSE to be able to post to my Facebook account and the App Settings are correct. I am able to post videos from Adobe Premiere Elements 13 so I know my Facebook settings are correct. OS is Windows 7. I have contacted Abobe support 3 times and they cannot figure out why the Facebook cover I created in PSE 13 will not upload.
Looks like naming the LUNs in 1.1 went bad. I upgraded to 1.2 and renamed the LUNs (twice in fact) and then it worked. Hmm

After the Data Collector is created, and I run it by right clicking it and select "collect and upload now", it isn't creating the custom_snapshot table that it should create????? The issue you are facing is in the way Oracle built the database engine. Basically every table requires a full qualification, that is to use the schema and the table. For your convenience Oracle has a default 'current_schema' that is used as the default value when the schema is not provided.
TO confuse the situation even more, you are allowed to create synonyms that can translate to a fully qualified table (or more accurately fully qualified object).
So you will be required to fully qualify every table name unless they are in the current schema. But the qualification nay come from system or session defaults or through synonyms.
Knowing that 10gR2 Express Edition is a proper subset of 10gR2, if you go to the 10gR2 full documentation, you will find a Reference manual that includes session and system parameters (such as current_session) that you can use to manage your environment. -

I created a podcast and its now in iTunes, but the pic isn't in iTunes, but it was there when it was submitted. Any ideas?
Version 11.1.5.5 of iTunes was just released today. If you update to that, does that help with the recognition troubles?

When converting a .pptx file of 6MB to .pdf, the file size ballooned to 25MB. The original file was created on a PC. What happened? Why? How to fix? Thx.

Try editing the original file. Resample pics to a lower resolution, check out other graphics, check table borders (eliminate any dotted lines or borders), check font usage. When generating PDF, try Save As (instead of Print > Save As), although I don't expect that'll make much difference.
Next, open the PDF in Preview, choose File > Save As, choose Format: PDF, Quartz Filterz: Reduce File Size. If that isn't enough, you can use ColorSync Utility to duplicate the Reduce File Size filter, and then edit it for a more aggressive size reduction. But keep in mind that size reduction means lower quality. -
Why is the .jar file not created??
the error i get is :
com.sun.kvem.midletsuite.InvalidJadException: Reason = 36
Error in opening jar file: list.jar
and in the \j2mewtk\2.5.2\apps\list\bin there are only 2 files are :
list.jad
MANIFEST.MF.
Why is that so?

I'm assuming that you used the <wsgen> Ant task (in your build.xml) to create this
web service, right?
Are you sure the client.jar file isn't in the web-services.war? You can verify this
by extracting this file (web-services.war) from the .ear for your web service, and
viewing its contents with WinZip (or the jar.exe utility that comes with the JDK).
There is a way to create client code without having a client.jar (or a WSDL document),
but it takes a little more work :-) I have attached a "heavily commented" example
of this, at the bottom of this post.

CMP Beans from Tables: Why does the Container try to create new tables?
I'm trying to develop an EJB application using JDeveloper on 9iAS. I have several CMPs and have my tables that I want my CMPs to be based on already defined in my DB schema. I want to use CMP but I don't want the Container to create the tables, rather I want the Container to map my CMP EJBs to the already existing tables.
The issue is:
While creating these CMP EJBs in JDeveloper I chose the "New Enterprise Java Bean" EJB creation wizard using the option labeled "Container-managed Entity Beans from Tables". My assumption is that this does what I want, because the wizard prompts for a schema and table you want to map to. Then it creates the attributes & getter/setter methods, PK class, etc. all based on the table defintion automatically. Great. So why when I try to run my application do I get error messages for each EJB such as:
Auto-creating table: create table STREET_TYPE (PK_STYP_ID NUMBER(8), STREET_TYPE VARCHAR2(20), primary key (PK_STYP_ID, STREET_TYPE))
Warning: Error creating table: ORA-00955: name is already used by an existing object
Huh?? I thought the idea is that the CMP EJB is mapped to the existing table in my schema. Why is the Container trying to create new tables?? Is this possible? Or am I missing something fundamental about how Containers create and manage CMPs? Or is this just a JDevelop container issue? TIAI presume you are getting the problem on application

Oracle9iAS (9.0.2.0.0) Containers for J2EE initialized
If so, in the application.xml file of you
OC4J instance the is a setting autocreate-tables,
which by default is true!
Set it to false as below and that should clear up
your problem.

default-data-Hmm. I found at least a dozen or so files with that name and set everyone that had this attriute to "false", restarted the OC4J server and still got these errors.
