WIH 00013: Invalid session

I have a prompt for channel in a report. There can be 5-6 channels. When I am running the report selecting just one channel, the report is refreshing fine. But when I am running for all channels, the report is giving an error: Invalid session. WIH 00013.
The report does not run more than 3 min.
Pls assist

May be you can try this to increase the session time,
Go to Registry
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\Suite 12.0\CMS\Instances\cmsname.cms,
Change IdleSessionTimeout=2700000
Modify the value at
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\BusinessObjects\Suite 12.0\default\WebIntelligence\Server\Admin\SwapTimeOut to 2700000.(Only if WebIntelligence reports timeout)
If you are using IIS then,
Right-click default website --> properties
Go to the Home Directory tab and click on Configuration
Change the Session Timeout to 45 minutes
Right click the BOBJAppPool121 Application Pool --> Properties
Go to the performance tab and change the idle timeout to 45 --> Click OK
Right click the DefaultAppPool Application Pool --> Properties
Go to the performance tab and change the idle timeout to 45 --> Click OK
and then Restart IIS

  • WIH 00013 time out error while viewing a BO Web intelligence report

    Hi,
    I have a BO web intelligence report. While viewing the report i get WIH 00013 time out error. I have another report with everything same as this one except for one filter condition. That is working fine but former is giving me an error.
    I tried changing the timeout values to 120 minutes from 90 minutes in connection server setting but didn't work.
    Also when i run the same report by scheduling it in CMC and format as PDF, then it works fine. This error only comes when i try to view the report directly from infoview.
    Please let me know if there is any other way to resolve.
    Thanks!

    Anyone now if it´s a normal issue, fix methods, etc...
    Thanks

    Hi,
    It´s very strange,
    Only with IE 6.0 sp1 and a folder (only one folder) the reports never end.
    I don´t now why, but I schedule an instance of the report and it´s works find.
    Thank you very match Mauricio.

  • Open document issue using Xcelsius WIH 00013

    All,
    I have Open Document that behaves correctly when I copy and paste it into address bar of a browser. It also works fine when I try to connect from one Webi report to another (so far so good). But when I use the link in Xcelsius, via a URL component, I get the following message:
    Invalid Session: Please close your browser and logon again. (WIH 00013)
    Previous posts on forumtopics.com suggests that this is a Tomcat time out issue. However, other open document calls from other Xcelsius dashboards with open document work without issue. Has anyone seen this before? I have included the hyperlink text. Please note long prompt text is courtesy of a BEx query in BW .
    http://<web server>:8080/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?iDocID=8547&lsSCompany%20Code%20(Single%20Value%20Entry%2C%20Required)=1000&lsSCurrent%20Fiscal%20Year%20(Single%20Value%20Entry%2C%20Mandatory)=2009&lsSFinancial%20statement%20version=cddFinancialStatements&lsSPosting%20Period%20(Single%20Value%20Entry%2C%20Mandatory)=003&lsSaccount=cdd+21
    Thanks,

    The same settings in the infoviewapp web.xml must be applied on the opendocument web.xml. Also you must be on XI 3.1 FP1 or higher. There is currently an Edge issue being investigated.

  • Webi Hyperlink with OpenDoc causes WIH 00013

    Hi
    I am trying to create a hyperlink from one report to another, passing the number of the clicked on site.
    This is the hyperlink code that I have used:
    /OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?iDocID=18704&sType=WID&lsSSite=223
    Site is an input parameter of the target WEBI document. It has been configured to be optional, and the user must select values from a list.
    If the WEBI document is run through the portal, and the link clicked, I get the following error message:
    Invalid Session. Please close your browser and log on again. (WIH 00013)
    If I take out the lsSSite parameter, the link works perfectly, so it seems to be something I am doing wrong when trying to pass values to the target webi.
    The target prompt is defined as optional and prompt with list of values. The other 2 checkboxes for select only from list and remember past values are both unchecked. All I want is for the input prompt to be pre-populated with the values clicked on in the source report.
    Any ideas on what causes this, or how I need to configure the hyperlink?
    Cheers,
    Andrew

    Just try using this
    ="http://<Server>:8080/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?sType=wid&sDocName=rev_line&lsSEnterYear:="[Year](If IsPromptAnswered("Enter City:") Then "&lsSEnterCity:="+URLEncode(UserResponse("Enter City:")))
    Here, 'Enter City' is the optional prompt, which will be included in the hyperlink only if it has a value provided by the user
    May be you can try this to increase the session time,
    Go to Registry
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\Suite 12.0\CMS\Instances\cmsname.cms,

  • Error when connect to Smartview: Invalid Session ID

    We are using 9.2.1 and receive this error on our DEV server when trying to connect to HFM database using Smartview. Nothing changed over the weekend and I don't know when the last person used Smartview on DEV.
    When adding a new connection, can get to the window where the list of clusters are, then can pick a cluster and see the list of apps, but then once you click an app to see the database below it, get the Invalid Session ID message.
    Thanks
    Jeff

    Error seems to be driven by the fact that HFMWebserviceManager service is stopping every 5 seconds for some reason.

  • Bea.jolt.ServiceException: Invalid Session

    Good day to all!
    I know that this is common problem, but if you kindly point me in the right direction, that would be more appreciated. I am currently running PT8.50 HRMS 9.1 DMO on Windows 7. The PIA is giving this error:
    CHECK APPSERVER LOGS. THE SITE BOOTED WITH INTERNAL DEFAULT SETTINGS, BECAUSE OF: bea.jolt.ServiceException: Invalid Session
    When logging in, I get that the app server is down. I am in familiar with why I see app server is down. I also believe that I understand why I am getting the above error. During installation, I put my own password for PTWEBSERVER as oppose to the default. I thought I updated the password with the default, but doesn't seem to work.
    I also understand to check the appserver logs, but I am not familiar where it is located, so if 'I could get the location of these logs, I will post the log and that would confirm if it is a password issue, or not.
    And if I need to uninstall and reinstall PIA, please tell me what I should do there. Thank you and Be Blessed

    Thank you for that helpful tip. I misunderstood Bob's post then. I though the updating was only if the acct was locked (which it wasn't because I checked). In any rate, I did rerun the script and the script was successful. Just to be sure, I logged into datamover via bootstrap mode and just typed in exactly the command that was given. I didn't miss anything I am assuming correct?
    I am still getting the same error message, even after updating the password. Here is the log, maybe this will help. Be Blessed

  • Invalidated Session

    I am running into an occasional session problem with one of my servlet applications. When this problem occurs, the HttpSession.setAttribute() method throws an IllegalStateException that the session has already been invalidated. My question is how do I handle this Exception. I would like to just give the user a new session. The req.getSession(true) is how I establish all my new sessions - but in rare cases this method is giving me an invalidated session. See the code snippet below:
    public void service (HttpServletRequest req, HttpServletResponse res) {
    HttpSession session = req.getSession(true);
    try {
    session.setAttribute("mykey", "myvalue");
    catch (java.lang.IllegalStateException ex {
    //help requested here...
    //create new session and assign to ServletRequest or ServletResponse??
    }

    Well, I don't think the sessions are not thread-safe, so if some other thread from some other request ends up invalidating the session, this could happen. It shouldn't happen normally, I would think. The session shouldn't invalidate itself after the service or doXXX methods are called. It would almost seem like it would happen by the user explicitly clicking a logout link before another request is completed.
