Will Categories work when a folder's versioning is enabled..

Question

Hi,
I have a defined to category attribute with the help of TestCategories class of Content DB dev kit. I am able to upload a document without any problem and retrieve the category details, when versioning on the folder is disabled. But, when the versioning is enabled, I am getting the following error :

I thought, using "Attributes.CATEGORY_COPY_ON_VERSION" should solve my problem. But, when I tried to use Attributes.CATEGORY_COPY_ON_VERSION for the CATEGORY_CLASS_ATTRIBUTES, I got the following error:

I have NO IDEA about why the cateogory attributes or not working when versioning is enabled.
Manually, using OCS UI :
When I try to upload a document for the first time, I have been prompted to enter values for the cateogry attributes. With versioning, I have not been prompted to enter the attributes when I tried to upload the document one more time. OCS simply versioned the document...
Any help in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated ...
Btw., My OCS version is 10.1.2

Hi
My mistake. i thought you were using Content Services API.
If you are using content DB, there is no need of explicit check out and check in.
you can directly create document/ update docuent with category Information with single go only.

Hope this will work. Your error seems to be beacause of wrong attribute value passed to the CategoryDefinition. Can you please paste the code, so that we can debug.
