Will the Creative_Cloud work with CS5.5 desktop applications?

My upload of an Adobe Proto file is not working. Even if it was syncing to my Cloud account, I would not be able to open the files without CS6. Is that correct?

you'll have two versions of each app.
i recommend you leave both versions installed until (and if) several months transpire and you find you don't need cs5.5
but don't loose your cs5.5. serial number/installation files even if you find you don't need cs5.5 while you're a cc subscriber. you may not be a cc subscriber forever.

Bad idea. There are no supported iPhone carriers in Iceland, thus some features may or may not work. Further, there will be no warranty or support for a US purchased iPhone in Iceland...your friend will be on their own. If you still want to go down this road, make sure you purchase an officially unlocked iPhone(GSM model) directly from Apple.

Yes, you can use the free, stand-alone Adobe DNG Converter 8.6 to convert your raw NEF files to raw DNGs first, which you can then open in any version of ACR higher than 2.3.
But ACR 8.6 will never work with CS5.1, and you will never be able to open your raw NEF files directly in CS5.1. You will have to take the extra step of running the Adobe DNG Converter on every batch of raw files you take with your camera.
More importantly, you should be aware that you will be leaving a lot of image quality on the table if you work with any version of ACD 7.4—which also requires CS6 to run. The rendering in Adobe Camera Raw took a significant leap forward in ACR 7.4 and later versions.
It would be a real shame to work with an expensive Nikon camera and not obtain optimal raw conversions.

It sounds like you are trying to purchase an app on your iPhone while in Nigeria. You do not need to create a new Apple ID to do this. You will just need change the iTunes Store country in your iPhone settings and update your billing information to match the country you are in:
Change your iTunes Store country
Sign in to the account for the iTunes Store region you'd like to use. Tap Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Apple ID: > View Apple ID > Country/Region.
Follow the onscreen process to change your region, agree to the terms and conditions for the region if necessary, and then change your billing information.

Will the iPhone work with the Bose SoundDock Digital Music System?

I want to get one of the new Bose SoundDocks but I'm not sure if it will work with the iPhone. I know it works with the iPod Touch but I know it's a little thinner than the iPhone. Has anyone tried using the iPhone with one of these?

There isn't an adaptor that fits the iPhone but it works flawlessly with the iPhone. In fact, it works better with the iPhone than it does with the new Classic. The new Bose SoundDock has a nifty little remote that allows you to scan foward/backward through your playlists - this functionality works on the iPhone but not on a Classic iPod.

I have a digi 002 working with Leopard. Pro Tools and Rewire both work great.

o Ensure your drive is formatted as Mac OSX Extended (non-case-sensitive)
o Ensure you have Pro Tools LE 7.4 (a purchased update
o Ensure you have Pro Tools LE 7.4 cs2 update (free cs update)
It is officially not supported so be ready for problems. I wouldn't buy anything until it is official. 7.3 didn't work at all for me.

Will the NX3000 work with an add-on eSATA interface for data migration?

My company is migrating to the cloud from our current hosted solution which includes a PowerVault NX3000 NAS server. We need to move several TBs of files and decided to add an external eSATA enclosure and swap in multiple SATA drives for the backups.
Obviously the NX3000 doesn't have an eSATA port so we are looking at adding a PCIe interface to the NX3000 so we can attached our external enclosure. Any known reason why this plan won't work?
I can provide specs for the device parts if it will help.

Though, I noticed, they do not come with a wall charger, and I have an old iPod Mini with a wall charger that connects through firewire (so it is a firewire iPod cord going into the charger and then that goes into the wall) and I was wondering if that would work ok...

it works perfectly fine with me. the only difference is the cable your ipod comes with. all the ports on all the ipods are the same, so it fits.

I recently installed the x fi platinum card into my system and purchased a set of logitech z5500 speakers. I bought these after all the great reviews on them.
my problem is , my bass levels seem to be really low or non existence, I can hardly feel or hear any bass, and I have to really concentrate on the bass to actually hear it.
I am sure i have made all the right adjustmenst in the settings program of X FI, like chooing 5. speakers and adjusting the bass levels,
on the thx settings when you can test your speakers all the sattlelite speakers sound good and clear , but the bass box just makes this strange quite muffled noise and thats it.
I have also tried to increase the bass levels on the speakers by using the speakers supplied control panel thing. and still no luck. i just am not getting any bass... I played battlfield 2 and 242 and the explosions have no bass in them at all, all the other speakers work fine, I am getting suround sound but with out any bass this does 'nt sound right.
I used to have a Philips 5. sound card with the Philips MSC 5. speakers and this sounded many times better with decent bass levels. battlefield 2 and 242 sounded great with explosuions and so on.
I just dont understand what is wrong, is this normal, is this the bass level that you normally get from these speakers. becuase if it is then i am really disappointed, the sub woofer is huge and is at least three times larger then my old system and yet this new system bass feels 20 times worse than my old bass box.
can any body help, does any body have any ideas please........

Will the TX work with an Altec Lansing IMT1 speaker dock

Hi all,
I have a palm tx and an altec lansing inmotion (imt1) speaker dock. When i plug my TX into it, i cannot hear any sounds through the imt1 speakers. I can only hear sound through the rear speaker on the TX. The battery symbol has a lightning bolt through it, so i assume that it is making a connection to the dock and is charging. I am only using the main docking part, and not any other cables to make a connection between the two. The imt1 is powered on, and the setting is turned to the music setting. Hope that someone can help me out here. thanks
