Wily Enterprise Manager not starting

Hello colleagues,
After migrating SAP solution manager to a new server (standard sap method R3load based despite same platform in source/target) we find wily Enterprise manager console stops some seconds after start.
We just copy the whole FS where wily was installed on source system and the log error is:

  • Oracle Enterprise manager not starting

        I have installed Oracle Enterprise Manager on my virtual machine running Oracle Linux 5.8. I edited the virtual machine settings to contain 2 CPU cores, 8GB RAM post installation of OEM owing to slow response times from the server. This was done as per the pre-requisite recommendation from Oracle Installation guide. Also, prior to installation of the Oracle DB, I had the user group as dba instead of oinstall. I have now associated the oracle user to the oinstall group instead of dba. Now, I have powered on the virtual machine and started the database and the listener. Now when I try to launch the OMS service, I am not able to get the Management server up and running. The logs show the error on "PolicyStoreContainerNotReadyException" and says 'Failed to search audit definition for component JPS. Reason: oracle.secutiry.jps.service.policystore.PolicyStoreContainerNotReadyException. Kindly let me know what should I do to get the OMS up and running.

  • Enterprise Manager Not starting in Oracle10g

    Hi,
    I have Oracle10gR2 database in Windows Server 2003.
    After installing the database,Enterprise manager was working fine.
    Then i installed the patch set 10.2.4.0 for the database.
    The patch set was installed properly and the database started.
    But when i tried to open the Enterprise Manager,it will get open.
    After 5 mins, again if i try to open Enterprise manager,it says page cannot be displayed.
    I checked the service of Enterprise Manager.It is in started status.And i tried restarting the ORACLE DB CONSLE Service.
    After the service restart,I tried to open Enterprise Manager.It got opened and after if i try again in 5 mins, i m getting the same problem.
    If i check the service,it is in the status of started..Again if i restart, Enterprise manager is working for 5 mins.
    SO can anyone tell whats wrong in this? Before installing the patch,Enterprise manager was working fine.

  • Enterprise manager not starting

    Dear All,
    I am using the oracle 32bit 11g in windows server.
    I have changed the oracle port from 1521 to 1535 successfully. The db is working fine, I am able to connect from client machine.
    After change the post my em is not starting up. Now em is looking into the old port 1521.
    Could you please guide me how to start the em?

  • Wily Enterprise Manager not found/offline

    I am working on setting up our E2E, I've reached the setup of the managed systems but when I get into it I can't select the Enterpise Manager; it is not an option in the drop down list.
    I've gone through and entered the correct server, port, and log-in information correctly as directed during the setup.
    We have had our Wily setup for a while now and just are getting around to being able to use. The Manager is setup on a different server using a different platform if that makes a difference; don't think it should though.
    Please let me know if you see that I am missing something on this. Thanks for your time.

    Thank you for the suggestion. I did end up upgrading the EM from 7.2.2 to 8.1.0 but it still didn't help populating that drop down field.
    One thing I was not able to do during the installation was the automatic update to the Introscope agent for my Solution Manager system, it is stating that the ISAGENT has either been deployed or is at a later version. The it was last effected was 12/2007 and is still on the 7.2.2 agent. Is there a way to undeploy this to bring in the new one?

    only Oracle Enterise Manager > http:app02.host.com:7002/em not running and giving this below error

    From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
    10.4.5 404 Not Found
    The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.
    If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.#

  • Wily Enterprise Manager Service not Started in Windows 2008 Server

    Hi All,
    Our Solution Manager is in EHP1 SP21 and OS-Windows 2008 Server.
    We installed Wily Enterprise Manager 8.0. and found 1 non-fatal error in the installation log. The service is not starting.
    However it works fine for Windows 2003 Server.
    Can anyone encountered with the same kind of problem?
    This is the latest log file information:

    Known problems in all Releases 8.x
    2. Windows Server 2008 is not yet officially supported by CA Wily for the Enterprise Manager. If you want to install the Enterprise Manager anyway, set the "Windows 2003 compatibility mode" for the installer before launching it. To activate this mode, right click on the installer.exe file in the Windows Explorer, select tab "Compatibility", activate the check box for compatibility mode and select Windows 2003. If you do not set this, the installer will consider your OS as Unix and install shell scripts (no suffix) instead of batch files (.bat) and leave out some files for Windows Service registration.
    If the windows service still fails to start please check if files ServiceWrapper.jar and ServiceWrapper.dll are present in folder lib. If not download them from attachment of this note.
    The service should start although giving an error message regarding the ServiceWrapper.dll. You can ignore this error.

  • SSO from Solution Manager to Wily Enterprise Manager issue

    Hi,
    We are facing problem in SSO from Solution Manager to Wily Enterprise Manager. We have done the configuration as per the Wily Enterprise Guide- "Introscope Version 8 Installation Guide For SAP" Page 38.
    Our Solution Manager system is running on AIX platform and Wily Enterprise Manager is on Windows 2008.
    This is what we are trying
    SOLMAN Production Client --> SOLMAN_WORKCENTER --> INTROSCOPE WORKSTATION --> this opens a new browser page and from there we click on Start Introscope -->
    Result --> SSO doesn't work, still we get login window.
    Introscope Enterprise Manager logs says -->
    9/12/11 10:47:17 PM BST [WARN] [Manager] Single sign on failed: No SAP single sign on ticket was found in the request header.
    Note: Another Solution Manager system in our landscape (on windows 2008 platform) is connected to same Wily Enterprise Manager (windows 2008) and from this solution manager SSO to Wily Enterprise Manager is working.
    Please help me with your expertise to solve this problem.

    Create the following profile parameters in the instance profile:
    login/create_sso2_ticket = 2
    login/accept_sso2_ticket = 1
    icm/host_name_full = fully qualified server name
    This parameter must be attributed to the fully qualified server name (for example wdfd002568.wdf.sap). The name must contain at least two periods. See also SAP Note 434918.

    I have checked multiple times , Enterprise manager is up and running( as windows service)
    any advise how to fix

    It worked fine previously.  This has been installed  a while ago ( a couple of years). We did have a couple of problems recently with corrupt data files.  Deleting the concerned datafile and restarting Wily solved the problem.  However I haven't a clue on how to get this going.

    I have installed the SOA 11.1.1.2 suite as per the documentation. But when i am starting teh weblogic server,during startup it throws error regarding enterprise manager.

    I can see that em is not versioned error. when i am trying to invoke em then it gives Error 404--Not Found
    It's really annoying.
    I have tried instaling it on Red Hat linux also, same error.
    really frustrating. I dont know if i can ignore it or not.

    Admins: please see in this matter.

    Select the folder you have installed SOA, right click eidt the folder permssions.
    * Add full control to the current user & administrator for this folder & sub-folders.
    And retry.
    Also make sure that your permssions have been propagated to sub folders as well.
