Win8 clients can't write over FTPS to Win 2012 with FTP site hosted in IIS 8

I've made an interesting discovery that is mentioned in part on other posts in other forums. This involves IIS; however, I believe the issue rests with the Windows Server 2012 OS.
Here's the scenario.
Client:
Windows 8
almost any FTP client
Server:
Windows Server 2012
FTP site hosted in IIS 8
Problem:
The client connects to the FTP site via FTPS (regular FTP works). The connection is successful, and the client is able to list the directories and download content. However, the client cannot upload anything to the FTP site.
Error: 550 The supplied message is incomplete. The signature was not verified.
Any of the following modifications to the scenario will allow the client to upload content:
changing the client OS to Windows 7
changing the server OS to Windows 2008 or 2008 R2 (IIS7+)
changing the FTP client to CoreFTP (I've tried FileZilla, the Microsoft FTP client, SmartFTP, and WinSCP)
I found this post regarding FileZilla that states there is an SSL cipher ordering issue with Windows Server 2012 and IIS8 for FTP clients using explicit TLS:http://trac.filezilla-project.org/ticket/7910
Their "solution" points to an MSDN blog post here:

This states that you need to reorder the SSL ciphers with TLS_RSA_WITH_RC4_128_SHA as the highest priority; however, there is a limitation to the text file where you order the ciphers, 1023 characters, which is less than the total number of characters for
all ciphers. This means you must know which ciphers will be needed and in which order as to not break anything else. That's not a viable workaround.
Does anyone know if there is a patch coming down to fix this, or are there any more viable workarounds? One would think a Windows 8 client should be able to connect via FTP with explicit TLS to an FTP hosted in IIS8 on Windows Server 2012 to upload
content.

Can I boot a mac 6,1 (mid 2012) with a Harddisk with 10.6, I take out of my old machine?

If not: I will buy a mac 5,1 (mid 2010).

Can I use "In-browser editing" with my site hosted externally?

I have my own reseller account here in the UK. I designed and created my own CMS, but as I've designed my first site in Muse, I thought I'd give the "In-browser editing" facility a go.
Does this still work if my website is hosted externally, or do I have to pay for this feature if I wish to use it?
I've looked everywhere and can't find any information that to use "In-browser editing" is chargeable or can be used in conjunction with an externally hosted website.

Same account name on two computers can't write over network

I'm having great difficulty synchronizing two computers. One is an iMac and the other is a MBP. They are both used only by me for work. I don't need to share them with anyone else, only with each other. The main account is exactly the same on both of them as the iMac is a Migration of the MBP, so the user name and password are identical.
Regardless of how I set sharing/permissions on any given folder, I can only read in either direction. Whenever I try to write, it asks for authentication (odd since the volume is already mounted), then says the file already exists (even though it doesn't) would you like to overwrite? I click overwrite, and then it comes back and says "you can't overwrite since the file already exists". Huh?? Looking at the destination the file does exist, but is zero bytes.
I finally created a dummy admin account on one of the machines, logged into this account from the other, and then things work like you would expect. I can write to those directories of the main account that have write privileges and not to those that don't.
So my question, is there anyway to just log into the main account, which is exactly the same on both machines and be able to write? This odd behavior seemed to start somewhere around 10.5 as I was always able to do this before.

I am having exactly the same problem, also with an iMac and a MBP. My iMac is about 6 weeks old, and I migrated via Time Machine. I can read the files from the connected machine, but cannot write, regardless of which is the host. Permissions are all fine.
I did notice one thing: the UUID number for the accounts is the same (accounts have same name as with darrylh). You can find this under System Preferenes>Accounts and right click or control-click on the account name after unlocking it. I am working with Apple support on this, but no resolution yet. I suspect that the UUID (Universally Unique ID) should not be the same on two machines, but I don't know the consequences of changing it or which one to change.

How can you write over the other JTablecells while putting in information

like windows excel when you write in a cell and you get to the border everything covers the other cells... when you press enter the string is in the textfield. But with the default settings of JTable or is it the DefaultTableEditor or the DefaultTableRenderer i don't know, when you write someting in a cell and get to the border everything is pushed to the left...i don't like that...
Can someone help me here?

thanks for your response. Meanwhile I found out, that in fact things work fine. I "tested" the outputfile in opening it with the Notepad editor. That was not the proper way to do it. Making a file dump, I saw that everything was alright. So if one wants to work on such a file with the editor, one should use the Writer classes.

How can I set-up to receive a file with FTP?

I want to receive a .pdf file from another, but the file is rejected by my email service provider for size. What are the requirements and steps for arranging to receive this large file using File Transfer Protocol (FTP)? I'm using OS Snow Leopard 10.6.8 with a DSL Internet connection nominally at 10 MBs download.

Usually, we don't speak of "receive" when using FTP, since the file is transferred from server to client, so it's more of a case of "download".

How do I turn on long press keyboard to write the same character many times with one keystroke only? I can only write 1 letter at a time with each key press. To write "aaaaa" I need to press 5 times the A key. I didn't use to do this.

I know this has something to do with INSERT key in Windows I guess. But suddenly I was using Mac OS X Lion and a keyboard sign appeared in the top bar, and the keyboard didnt work as it usually does. I mean, I wanted the long press key to write multiple caracters of course. Please help!

It's now a hidden option that can be turned on with a terminal command. The easiest way to do this is to download TinkerTool from this site:

Then go to Tinkertool > General tab > Select "support key repeat".
Logoff and login again.

Aperture can't write to external drive? Up with what is that?

Hi. I keep getting the following notice:
I have re-booted, repaired permission and disk on both the disk and the partition, and repaired permissions and the Aperture Library. Each time I repair the Library I can process about 90% of the selected files, but that is all. Then re-repair, then do another 90%.
All software up-to-date. The external drive is one of several USB-3 drives I use, via one of two USB-3 hubs. I have never had any problems with any of these drives or hubs. The drive in question has been used continuously for Originals for months.
Any advice? Drive going south? Gremlins arm-wrestling to prepare for Mavericks?

I want to keep the originals on my machine as well.
Don't worry, exporting images will only write new copies of your images to the designated export folder - originals and versions will stay unchanged in Aperture.
Can you tell me if there is any difference in exporting originals as opposed to exporting versions? You had suggested I export versions.
When you export a version, you will get an image file, that includes all your adjustments. And you can chose from different export presets to determin the size and quality of the exported version.
Exporting the original will give you an exact copy of the file you originally imported.

RS485 is simply a physical-layer protocol defining pinouts, signal levels and the like. To make the connection you need either an RS232-RS485 converter (check with BlackBox) or an RS485 serial IO card (check with NI). Either way, there should be no changes required to you Modbus drivers or other software.

How can I write a 1d array of cluster with 3 elements to a file?

I have to make a "Power spectral densities" analyse from my waveform data. The results from this VI is an array of cluuster with 3 elemments. Now I want to write this array of cluster with 3 elements to a file. And later it must be able to use this file with EXCEL!!

make a for loop feeded with your array. Inside the for loop unbundle
the cluster, "format into string" the 3 values, adding the result to
the ones before and collect them in a shift register. Then save the
resulting string to a txt-file. If you make a good format string then
Excel is able to read your txt-file (use tab a separator and CR/LF
after each 3 values aka "csv format").

How can I write unit tests for BizTalk Maps with multipe inputs?

I want to bring all my maps under unit test coverage, but can't seem to find a way to test maps with multiple inputs. Maps with multiple inputs are first merged into a single schema by biztalk and then the map actually uses that inline schema as source.
What I tried is- produced a generated instance of source schema by clicking "Test Map", and then modified the skeletal instance by stitching together the multiple input files into it. There are two problems I am facing going forward that way- 1#
It takes a lot of time to craft a mock input of inline schema and 2# the mock input fails input validation although the input works just fine in the orchestration.
So is there a better or standard way to test such Maps?

For testing maps with multiple inputs, follow the below steps-
Lets assume you have a map with two input schemas A and B and output as C.
1) To create the required schema just reverse the inputs i.e. make a map with C as input and A & B as output. Later do a test map. This will generate an XML File with schemas A & B.
2) Now you just to need to replace OutputMessagePart_0 to InputMessagePart_0
and OutputMessagePart_1 to InputMessagePart_1
Later you can use this xml for testing your original map.

I can't subscribe to Match on Win 7 with iTunes 10.6.3.25. When Apple ID auth window comes up iTunes crashes with "iTunes stopped working" and iTunes closes.

On Windows 7 with iTunes 10.6.3.25 I cannot subscribe to iTunes Match. In iTunes I click on iTunes Match in the left pane then click the "Subscribe for $25 a year" button. A window that looks like I am going to be asked to login using my Apple ID and password starts to come up but then an error occurs and I get a window that says "iTunes stopped working" then iTunes closes. What can I do ?

I've also read somewhere about using Win Rar to extract files to do with apple mobile device support from the itunes installer file, would you recommend that to? I don't really fancy the idea of doing anything that involves my registry because knowing me I'll end up screwing my laptop up for good lol
It's a little more involved than just doing a standalone AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi install, I'm afraid. The relevant drivers in AMDS are not digitally signed for 64-bit XP, so you have to force XP to accept a driver install that it would try its damnedest to not do. There's no driver issues for other 64-bit componentry in the installer package (I think the GEAR drivers install on XP 64-bit systems), but I believe there's still a bit of fancy footwork involved in getting them installed too ... although it's been a long time since I've looked at an instruction set, and I might not be recalling those things correctly. (So if you're not comfortable with system modifications, it might be best to steer clear of the Orca-based techniques ...)

Normally a license may be used on two different PCs. One intended for a work computer and one intended for a home computer in case you take work home.
I'm sure Adobe would frown upon using the two activations to occur on two work PCs that are used simultaneously.
You need three licenses. That would grant you six activations. One on each of the three work PCs and one on each user's home PC.
Keep in mind that I'm not a legal professional nor did I stay overnight at a Holiday Inn Express.
