I am getting error 0x800705b4 when trying to install realtek audio driver.I am attaching the images.I ran the windows troubleshooter which found
"Service registration missing or corrupt"
and fixed it but the update error persists

I am trying to update my Windows 10 TP installation and it seems that it fails to download. I am behind a proxy server in the office with no way around it. Windows Update fails with error 0x80072ee2. What I have picked up is that I can
get the update list if I set a proxy server in BITS using "bitsadmin /util /setieproxy localsystem proxy1:port "bypass list". However bits fails to download the updates returning either Error or Transient_Error. Can you please assist
with this issue?

EDIT: I set proxy settings of each bits download job to PRECONFIG and the updates downloaded and installed.

Did you set the proxy server via IE? Do you mean that the Windows Update Client ignore the proxy settings? To make Windows Update use the proxy setting, please execute the following command from cmd
Netsh winhttp import proxy source=ie

There is certain ambiguity in what your wrote, such as ..... how or where did you get the "restore " option ?
There is Windows Rollback option, Refresh option, Reset option. I am not familiar with a "restore" option. One question may lead to another, and another.....I prefer not to go to there.
Instead, I'd like to offer a suggestion.......
Download build 9926 ISO file > you can then either.....
1. burn the ISO to a bootable DVD > use the DVD to do a clean install.
or
2. save the iso file to a folder > Mount it and select the Setup.exe to start installing.

Windows Vista Home Premium (SP2) - Update Error Code 80071AA7: Unable to install KB3033889

I am having problems updating my Windows Vista Home Premium (SP2) with KB3033889
I am always getting the Update error Code 80071AA7
I have tried a clean boot, to install Microsoft Update Standalone Package (KB3033889), but does not worked.
I tried Sfc /scannow, and "Could not repair corrupted file", and i have checked "CBS.log" file:

DragAcceptFiles Working in Windows 10 TP build 9926 But Not Working In build 10049 and build 10061

My company has a software product that accepts dragged items. In all versions of Windows from XP through Windows 10 build 9926 that functionality has worked fine. However, with build 10049 (possibly 10041 which I did not test thoroughly before going
to 10049) and now 10061 that functionality stopped working. The application calls DragAcceptFiles to enable drag drop messages. In addition, either ChangeWindowMessageFilter is called on Vista or ChangeWindowMessageFilterEx is called on Windows
7 and higher for the messages WM_DROPFILES, WM_COPYDATA, and WM_COPYGLOBALDATA. This was working fine on Windows 10 build 9926. Now when I attempt to drag an item to our software product, I get the "Don't" symbol (circle with line through
it) and no WM_DROPFILES messages are received. The application is unchanged with only an upgrade to the Windows 10 build performed. As a sanity check, I created a brand new VM running build 9926 and the functionality worked fine. I then upgraded
the VM to 10049 and it stopped working. The following day I upgraded to 10061 and it is still broken. Is there are new filter or restriction in place since build 9926 on DragAcceptFiles that would be stopping the traditional drag drop procedure
from working? This is very frustrating because there is a dearth of information on Windows 10 API changes and since this appears to be some kind of recent change, I am out of ideas of where to look for answers. I can duplicate this problem on the older
platforms by simply calling DragAcceptFiles with the second parameter set to false. In that case, on Windows 7 for example, I will get the "Don't" symbol just I am getting now in the Windows 10 TP with the argument set to true.

DragAcceptFiles is now working again in 10074 so whatever the problem was, it has been fixed.

Problem installing Windows Technical Preview build 9926

I am not able to install the Technical Preview on my computer. Everything looks fine and in the end it says "applying computer settings" and counts the percents before it reboots again.
During the boot it says evaluation build 9926. Then it says Restoring the old windows as it was before... I can't get this to work.
This is the windowsupdate.log file and the last attempt of installing at the end of the file. 21st of march.

Windows 8.1 developer preview update error: 80188308

I tried to download the newest update for developers but cannot complete the update during,installation. I kept on receiving the same message : Update couldn't be completed.80188308. It suggests that its a temporary problem and directs me to download the

WIndows 7 Pro 64 Bit Update Error ode 537

The Office 2013 Update installed on 10 PCs but failed on 1 with the error code 537- unknown error.
I tried rebooting, running FixIt and SFC /scannow but I get the same error message every time.

I tried running Update in Safe Mode but it does not run. When I tried to active the Windows Update Service I got an error message that Update does not run in Safe Mode.
I then stopped all 3rd party processes and services using MSCONFIG, deleted all files in the SoftwareDistribution folder, rebooted and tried to run Update - still failed.
I tried MS FixIT and ran Chkdsk then tried Update again - still failed.
Other updates install correctly (MSE signatures) so the problem appears to be with the MSO 2013 update.
Based on the error code 0x80070643 in the ReportingEvents file it appears that the problem is with .Net Framework. Next step is to try to repair .NetFramework. Any other recommendations?

Folio Builder Panel update error

Tried updating folio tools 3Xs. Keep getting this eror:
A newer version of Folio Builder is available for download. Update Folio Builder panel to latest version here.
Have quit inDesign, restarted the computer, logged on and still get the error.
Any ideas?

There was a short amount of time where the link in the Folio Builder panel was redirecting to the old download still, but it should be working now.
You can head directly to http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates.html to get your downloads. Make sure that the file is from November 17th.

Windows unable to check/download updates - error code: 80070005

Hi,
my laptop top (Satellite Pro) hasn't downloaded or installed any updates since january and it hasn't been running very well lately.
When I click "try again" on the window update page, I just get the same error again and again.
Windows help website said it would be a problem with my computer as it came with Vista home basic already installed on it.
Any help would be greatly appreicated!

Its not the same error code as you have but to solve the problem you should disable the antivirus program and maybe also the firewall.

Windows 10 Enterprise build 9926 no success using GPOPack wsf

Trying to create a golden image for others to use to test. Have tried to modify the SCM 3.0 GPOPack.wsf and the latter released Win81-WS2012R2-IE11-Baselines-FINAL.zip to no avail. Anyone have any luck modifying it if so what is
the script change line(s) needed?

I checked again and the update are available to install on both pro and Enterprise.
Please take a look at the system requirements part and cehc kto see if any things not meet there.
My testing machine is both on the version of Windows 10 build 10061.

everytime i try to update windows it gives me an error

1. KB2993651 is a replacement of the following update KB2982791. See:

Thus please first check if KB2982791 is installed. You can uninstall it and again see if KB2993651 could be installed after reboot.

4. KB2990967 is an update for OneDrive desktop app. Are you using it on your computer? You can test to uninstall OnDrive and reinstall to see if the update could be installed after.

Where did you download the ISO from? The SHA1 value on MSDN is the same as
yours (copied and pasted directly from MSDN):

Error 0x80070050 while updating Windows 10 TP Enterprise Build 9926

Hello. I'm currently using Windows 10 TP Build 9926.
Windows Update & Recovery tool indicates that there is new build of Windows 10 TP (Build 10041). Also there is update for Windows Defender (1.193.3002.0). But when I'm trying to install them process stop with error 0x80070050. Any suggestions pls?

@ ALF_er, this version is for Windows 10 Pro Technical Preview 10041 build, it is recommended to perform a clean install, if you need the enterprise version for test, here is a workaround:
