Windows 2007 Update error 8000FFFF

My new Windows 2007 Dell laptop does not install any updates due to error 8000FFFF. I tried windows Fixit but that doesn't solve it. Can you help me?

Windows Vista Update Error 80072EFD

got Vista Home Premium 32bit and updates were running smooth till January. In Feb- March updates just stopped to work due error code 80072EFD. Have tried with Fixit ( doesn't work as well ) got an error 8004FE2C, and Win Defender got the same error
as updates 80072EFD. My laptop is without viruses ( have ESET Smart Security ) and no maleware ( have Malewerebytes ). Already had checked all Win Update services were they running, then resetting them and added the links of microsoftupdates.com in ESET
and Explorer ( preventing form blocking the site) even closed all firewalls and security.....without any success. Still got the same error 80072EFD!!

-Disable AV, Disable Firewall
-Clean boot
-Automated solution - fix it

Fact is this occured after clean install. He tried to reinstal it again and issue persists.

Windows Update Error code 80244018018 means that your system cannot connect to the Microsoft windows update server. So please temporarily disable any firewall\AV installed in your system if you have, menwhile, please launch services manager, make
sure "Background Intelligent Transfer Service" and "Windows Update" services are "started".
Cleare the IE cache and history (internet options\General\Delete...), check the IE proxy settings

Windows live Update error

I have a E61 and have finally found a Windows live installation but it keeps coming up with update error and will not install. Does anyone have any idea what the problem is. The nokia installer has the code 544. If anyone can help I would be most gratefull.

I have now found the correct version of windows live from microsoft and not the dodgy chinese version I kept hearing about. It works perfectly over WLAN (saves booting the PC) and has all the features of normal messenger.

If you do download this there is a little note that says read first. Please make sure you read this as the installation comes in two parts and if you get it the wrong way around it will not work.

Windows 7 Update Error 66A

I have tried several times to install a Windows 7 update but it always fails with an error 66A. Can anyone provide a solution?

I don't know if this is in anyway relevant to the problem here but:-
If a windows update has failed and it is reported in control panel>windows update in the update history then clicking on troubleshooting problems opens a help window with the first entry being "click to open windows update troubleshooter". This program must "clean up" something and the update often then installs. I also don't know if the failed update has to be reported in the history for the program to clean it up.

Windows 7 update error 0x80070057

So I am having issues updating my Windows 7.
Whenever I try to manually update it gives me an error where it says
"Windows update cannot currently check for updates because the service is not running."
I tried to troubleshoot Windows update and it came with a few errors unfixed.
"Problems installing recent updates"
"windows update error 0x80070057"
What is the best way going about fixing this, I could not find solutions online that work for me

Tried both suggestions with and without running safe mode:
Open-the-Windows-Update_troubleshooter found issues running is safe mode, but 0x80070057 was not fixed, and "problems installing recent updates also not fixed. Also, "Corrupt files detected", but no indication what they were. Rebooted and re-ran,
again in safe mode, with the same result.
Moved on to .../kb/971058/en-us and ran Fix-It. "Troubleshooting cannot continue because an error has occurred." Ran the tool to diagnose the troubleshooting failure: "Troubleshooting couldn't identify the problem"
Yikes!
Problems started with "Scorpion Saver Services adware being detected and tried to get rid of it. I don't know if the problems with updates were occurring before or after that. During the process of trying to delete the adware malware, "Malwarebytes"
discovered 13 malware issues. I also installed Windows 7 SP1, but had to do it manually.
Still cannot update ...

I am repeatedly trying to update my windows security setting via windows vista update. One important update was not completed with consistent accuracy. its called error code 80092004. The hard disk has plenty of space, the update was 8.5mb, it always hung on 11% without going further during download and the the error code is flashed with red buttons to say one one imporatn update has failed. I did this umpteen times over a few days now withou success. Can anyone help?

It comes with Windows 8 Pro.
After downloading windows 8 updates, it doesn't want to install all of the software updates.

Can't do that now. The owner is giving up with Microsoft and stick with his trusty MAC OS X!
His Asus Transformer TX300CA indeed have Windows 8.1 driver support. I did check with ASUS website.
However I did many tests base on Microsoft Support Knowledge base.
I even try the Microsoft Fix it. It too didn't work.
The Asus Transformer TX300CA is using Windows 8 Pro OEM version.
There is a possibility that his Windows 8 is corrupted.
I try to find the "C:\Windows\winsxs\poqexec.log". No where to be found.
The strange part is The ASUS Transformer TX300CA cannot install any updates patches of Windows 8!!!
I come to know that many people are having this issues regardless which laptop brand they are using.
However I did it with ease on a Lenovo laptop.
The process of having upgrading to Windows 8.1 via Windows Apps Store is very tedious and long process. It's very very slow. Not unless you have a High Broadband speed.
It's very time consuming. It's not a good method of upgrading to Windows 8.1.
My Suggestion to Microsoft to release a FREE DVD upgrade disc to all of it's customers.
You have to bare in mind that not everyone in the world is using a High Speed Broadband network.
In some country they still using a clunky old 24,33.6,56K modem.
How are they going to do the 3.8GB of upgrade to Windows 8.1. It will take them months to complete the tasks.

I 'm getting notification saying there is software update for my phone but after it's downloaded I'm getting error message saying "the update was downloaded but couldn't be opened 8018830f error".

Windows Automatic Update Error 80072EFD - After new HD installation by Toshiba

Hi,
The hard drive went in my computer and I got it repaired at Toshiba Service centre. Four weeks later and it wont update windows which now causes web site security certificate errors with itunes, banks and paying for items on the web. I have called Toshiba and told them when I got it back it doesn't work correctly and they say its not there problem! Windows worked fine before the hard drive re-install.
I have tried nearly every suggestion on windows forums out there and tried to install the windows fix it tool but it wont let me on my laptop. I have also tried installing the Intel driver that people recommend but that also doesn't work. I have malware scanned the system as suggested by Microsoft it still wont work.
I keep getting windows error code 80072ED. The only thing i havent done which was suggested by toshiba was do a re-install by holding 0 key when rebooting the computer but I dont want to lose my hard drive and wipe it all. Im using windows 7 home premium. Somebody please help.

the old hard drive was removed and a new hard drive installed and the computer re configured to out of the box state. I dont think the windows update has worked since I got it back from Toshiba.
If it's just back from the Toshiba shop and doesn't work right before making changes, you should return it.
That error code indicates a network configuration problem. Do you have other problems on the internet?\
Do you have more than one anti-virus program resident in memory?

Windows iTunes update error

When i try to download the new update for iTunes version 7.6.2,
An error box pops up saying "Apple Software Update for Windows has an Invalid Signature. And will not be installed. And i have tried using Tools>Download Only option but comes with the same error.

Have you tried doing a manual update - Download the installer from:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Save it on your PC and run it from there.
That may allow you to get round the Apple software update problem.
