Hi,
I am trying to create a new connection to SAP R/3 system or BW.
When I enter client, login and pasw, the logon fails and as details I have : Select one of the installed language.

Crystal reports can be created from BW, but we need to have the Query
created prior to used to create the
1. Open Crystal Reports(we will have an add-on menu in Crystal reports
specific to BW in the latest Crystal reports XI R2)
2. Create a blank report
3. Create new connection
4. Choose the driver SAP BW Query(which you have already created using Bex
in your BW system)
5. Once you select the your BW system from the list of all the available,
provide the user credentials and the your query will be connected to the
Crystal.
6. From here you can place the report fields based on your requirement

Creating a new connection when creating a report from scratch

I've searched all around but I haven't managed to find any samples or forum posts that show how to create a connection when creating a report from scratch via RCAPI. All of the code that I've found has been aimed at replacing the ConnectionInfo for an existing connection. I figured that it would work something like this:

but this produces a NullPointerException within Connection.open(). If I leave the connection closed but add it to the report via DatabaseController.addConnection() then I just get the exception later on when I try to add tables using the connection.
Can anyone give me any pointers please?

Just in case anyone else runs into this, I managed to fix it by leaving the connection closed and then using the connection info instead of the connection when creating tables, eg:
     ITable t = new Table();
     t.setAlias(v.getAlias());
     t.setName(v.getView().getName());
     t.setConnectionInfo(m_connectionInfo);
     getDatabaseController().addTable(t, null);

CR 2013 for B1 can be downloaded from Software Download Center : https://websmp106.sap-ag.de/support
Choose SAP Business One from menu "Software Downloads" > expand from left side "SAP Business One Products" > Installations > SAP CRYSTAL REPORTS FOR B1 > CRYSTAL REPORTS 2013 FOR B1
Just keep in mind that, to make CR preview in B1 works fine, please check if correct CR runtime (.NET 32bit or 64bit) is installed. 32bit client will install 32 bit runtime automatically and same for 64 bit.
To make SAP Business One connection and Add ins menu works, please make sure correct version of Integration Package together with correct BOE runtime are installed. Install Integration Package will install BOE runtime automatically. ( We only need 32bit BOE runtime in CR for B1). Of course you can also install them seperately.
We have relevant Note 1815476 to explain this.

Problem with creation of a new connection

Hi all,
In a new application,I have created a model.Then I try to create business components from tables,and then a new connection.
I can suucessfully create the conection but when I click on ok I got an error like this
"Unable to store credential store using jps-config.java.io.FileNotFoundException".
Can you suggest a slotion for this..

Dear All,
I have installed XIR3 on a windows 64 bit with oracle 10g R2 client.
The CMS is up and running and I am able to connect to the infoview and view the lsit of all the migrated objects from BOXIR2.
But, when I am trying to create a new connection for the universe or trying to execute the existing reports i am getting the following error.
(i.e I guess BO is unable to connect to DB)
*SBO0001 error DBD:ORA12154 error while creating new connection
I tried various solution from BOB but still could not solve this. Please anyone suggest few tips regarding this case
Business objects: CMS is running and able to connect to infoview and able to log on to CMC
Database client: Able to log on to DB using sqlplus and tnsping is working.

Crystal Reports when connecting to SAP ERP gives Logon Failed error

Hello Friends,
We are trying to implement the SAP Best Practices Crystal Reports and Xcleisus Dashboards for ERP. We are using BI 4.0 SP2, Crystal Reports 2011 SP2 and SAP ECC 6.0 FP 5.
We have done all configurations at the SAP end and successfully adpated a couple of Crystal Reports and they work fine.
My client machine crashed and I had to reinstall my Windows and all Client Tools. After the installation, when I tried to adapt a few more reports, I face the below problem:
After opeing the Crystal Report, when trying to Set the DataSource location, I select Create New Connection and select SAP Infosets. The SAP logon popup comes and I select the ECC system and enter the logon credentials for SAP ECC, I get an error message saying
Logon Failed.
Details: some square boxes.
The error doesnt really make any sense. Unfortunately, I am not able to test this scenario in any other machine as I am the only developer here. I am almost sure this is because of some configuration set up in my client machine,
Can some please help?

I recommend looking at a couple of things:
1) Do you have the latest Crystal transports installed with ECC? SP 2 has new transports. Check this subdirectory
Crystal Reports 2011\DATA_UNITS\CrystalReports\Collaterals\Add-Ons\SAP\Transports\unicode_compatible\cofiles
Use STMS to see if transports are installed
2) Are you using 3.1 ? Do you have the Integration Kit installed on ECC and client side?

Use String Variable in New Object Creation

Thanks to those who review and respond. I am new to Java, so please be patient with my terminoloy mistakes and fumblings. I am reading in a file and I want to create a new object based on specific field (car for example). As you will notice I grab field 8 here label sIID.

BTW this regex grouping works fine. The problem is seen when I try to use the sIID variable in my new object creation process.
DateParse sIID = new DateParse();
My IDE is reporting "Variable sIID is already defined in the scope"
Is this possible? The assumption is that the sIID will have different value during the processing of the file. For example, car could mean truck, sedan, etc with operators like color, number of doors, mileage, top speed, etc.

My problems are centered around the x variable/object below. Ideally this would translate to three objects PersonA, PersonB, etc that I could reference later in the code as PersonA.newname if I wanted to. Hopefully this makes sense.

Custom SSIS Source: How do I make it create a new connection manager and display its properties window?

I am writing a custom SSIS source that uses a standard SSIS Flat File Connection Manager. I have got a working UI that shows all usable connection managers in a dropdown list and allows the user to pick one. I would like to be able to have a button that
the user can click on to create a new connection manager, and it would open the properties window for the new connection manager so it can be set up.

That's what I've got so far. I had assumed that adding a new connection would automatically display the properties window to the user (right?). However, in my tests, what actually happens is that it creates the new source with a random GUID for a name and no
other properties set up, and puts it in the connections pane, and that's it. Not real useful.
Obviously, something else is required to make the properties window appear, but I can't find what it is. There's no ShowUI() member on any of the classes I have, and I haven't been able to find out the name of the UI class that's used by the flat file source.
Does anyone know how this is done? I know it can be done, because such a button exists in the normal Flat File Source UI.

CRXI Shuts down when clicking on Create New Connection

I have been working with both Crystal 8.5 and XI on my system together for a couple of years and have had no problems. I've been working primarily in 8.5 for the last several months and only needed to view a few reports in XI (without problem). Now I am trying to create a new connection in XI (version 11.0.0.1282) and it shuts down the Designer completely without any error message. I can't find the old knowledgebase that used to be on the Crystal Decisions website so I thought I would post here to see if anyone has heard of this issue.
Other mitigating factors may include VS2008 Pro installed on system in the last few months but since then I have created a new report in XI and 8.5 and run them in VB2008 with the Report Viewer as a test of a new program I want to build. That was just before Christmas.
I am probably going to have to reinstall but I am not sure if I have the latest version updates here. Is the above version the latest? And if not, where can I download the updates?

CR closes when using "create new connection"

Hi,
Crystal Reports 2008.
After opening a CR 10 report once, I can't create new blank reports. If I use "create new connection" to add a data source the program shuts down. No crash dump or anything.
Helpdesk could reproduce error but couldn't solve the problem.
To re-install my system after format costs a lot of time (and therefore money). So I want to try to solve my problem first by my self.
Question: does freeware software exist to trace the behavior of an EXE file?
I'd like to figure out where it goes wrong.
Manually removing CR and reinstalling didn't help either. Nothing helps. FP 1.7 installed. Still the same problem..

Please re-post if this is still an issue or purchase a case and have a dedicated support
engineer work with your directly.

Question about SAP client setting when create new connection in CR2008

I have a question about SAP client setting in Crystal Report 2008 when I try to create a new connection use SAP OpenSQL(SAP Table,Cluster,or Function).
I have a SAP IDES environment with 5 clients.
While I try to create a CR standard report use SAP OpenSQL, I entered 800 into Client field in u201CUser logon credentialsu201D. The connection can be created and I can get table list. After I built a report ,I can not get data from IDES client 800, but I can get data from client 000.
I am sure client 800 has data.I checked client 800 table with Tcord se16.
I also did other tests and felt confused a lot.
Even inexistent client, such as u201C00u201Dand u201C8000u201D can be used for creating connection.
I just want to know how can I get data from client 800.

I am not sure about your suggestion clearly. What's your mean all the authorizations to use CR?
Maybe I should clarify my operations.
I logon CR2008 as administrator and created two SAP connections with different client.
There is a table named "/BEV3/CHBALLG" be showed in these connections.
I checked clients "000" and "800" both have data in the table.
I can use client 000 connection create report and get right data, but the report base on client 800 connection could not get data.
If change to another table,such as "/SAPDMC/LSOFIL", I can get data both form these connections.
I found one thing is very weird. Client "00" and "8000" do not exist in my IDES environment, but I can use them for creating connection.
May I have your further suggestions?

Create and Apply new connection pool failure

I am trying to creat a new connection pool by the examples Console with WebServer
6.0
Name: testingPool
URL: jdbc:cloudscape:demo or jdbc:dbc:cloudscape:Test (where Test is a new DB
in cloudscape)
Driver Name:COM.cloudscape.core.JDBCDriver
Property:

Then create a Datasource which using the new created testingPool and the Target
is the "exampleServer"
However when I start the server,it keeps on complaining that the "testingPool
is not exist".
Any setting that I 've missed when using a new connection pool??
I only know the workaround is using the demoPool which is already exist in the
example.

is not exist".
Any setting that I 've missed when using a new connection pool??
I only know the workaround is using the demoPool which is already existin
the
example.

Can anyone help me restore an ipod itouch ,tried restore on itunes but it fails everytime the error code says it's a conection problem i have 2 computers and tried all usb ports but keephaving the same problem ,even bought a new connection cable

Went to update the ipod touch and it wiped out everything , Itunes keeps trying to restore it but fails everytime giving me an error that it cannot see my ipod yet it sees it and tries to restore it everytime i connect the ipod to the pc , the help file suggested i reinstall the latest version of I tunes so i did i tried using different ports on 2 computers and also bought a new connection cable but still won't restore can anyone help?

Try a manual install, as outlined in the link below.
