Windows 7 Schtasks - Run Once
I am trying to set up a task to run once, on a remote computer. (Both my system and remote system are Windows 7)
schtasks /Create /S REMOTEPC /RU "SYSTEM" /RP "" /SC ONCE /TN MYTASK /TR "c:\temp\MyProgram.exe" /ST 07:56 /Z /RL HIGHEST /F
Returns an error : ERROR: The task XML is missing a required element or attribute. ( the /ET is missing )
schtasks /Create /S REMOTEPC /RU "SYSTEM" /RP "" /SC ONCE /TN MYTASK /TR "c:\temp\MyProgram.exe" /ST 08:01 /ET 09:00 /Z /RL HIGHEST /F
is successful, but wants to repeat every 10 minutes until the end time. If I use /RI and set it higher than the end time, another error that /RI can't be more than the /ET. Leaving off /ST also produces an error.
So, how do I get it to run just once?
As you have found out, it is indeed the inclusion of the /z switch that is causing the problem. Do you actually need the task to delete itself after executing?

App-V 5 Application runs once then errors
Hello Experts,
I'm running an App-V 5.0 SP1 Management Server and Publishing Server on Server 2012 R2. My Sequencer and Client are App-V 5.0 SP2 from the current MDOP 2013 R2.
The target systems are all running TrendMicro Antivirus, but I'm not sure, if that could be related, as the applications can run once. I'm afraid I can't uninstall or deactivate the AntiVirus in the case :-(
I can sequence applications fine and run them once on any given system. But as soon as the application has been run once, it cannot be run on any system anymore. It errors out with the message:
"A Problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program" then when clicking close the program, a new error message pops up: "The application was unable to start correctly (0x00000005). Click OK to close the application"
In this case, it's FireFox, but the problem isn't related to the sequenced app - it happens to all app-v applications. If I export the sequenced app to my lab environment, the application works fine and does not through any errors.

Computer has Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. Firefox has run fine for over a year on this computer. Nothing was changed or updated except Windows update shows that it installed updates on Aug 19. I had computer off for week before because out of town, came back and started on Aug 18, but Firefox worked on that day. Did not use FF again till today. Today on Aug 22nd, firefox will not start, shortcut icon has changed to program not there. Exe in folder when clicked brings up error message say the version of this file is not compatible with version of Windows I am running. Firefox exe shows created Aug 20. I suspect update, either Windows or FF but lean towards windows, happened that broke things. I notice IE 10 updates, .NET framework updates and malicious software removal tool updates were installed. I have tried restarting computer, did not fix. Tried to run as admin, didn't work. I do not want to uninstall FF unless have to because of all the stuff I have in there, bookmarks, last pass passwords, etc.

I installed Crucial 16 gb and the Mac runs just fine but Windows won't start. It gets to the login screen then it turns white.I decided to make another try today after some reading and googling the internet.
I started windows with my old 4GB memory and changed the bootconfiguration with msconfig. I typed manually in max memory tp 16384 MB and saved the settings. Then I turned it off and inserted the 16GB ram again. Then it started really but when looking at the properties of my computer it says 16 GB installed but I can only use 2,16GB. So I opened msconfig again and changed the settings once more and restarted. Now it says 16GB installed but I can use 14,2GB so I guess it is ok now for some strange reason. I suppose the lost 1,8GB is for the system ?? Do I dare to turn it off again :-) what will it say next time ?

After I have logged in my desktop turns black. Mouse is working and I can start the Taskmanager. When I delete a process called Run Once Wrapper (runonce.exe) I get back the normal desktop and the PC seems to work OK. I have scanned for virus and malware, found no problem. According to HP is this problem caused by a virus.

Look at what's trying to be launched from the RunOnce wrapper - there will probably be 2 similar entries, one starting HKLM and the other starting HKCU.

Limiting script to run once or twice
I have this script which I'm trying to collect snmp stack based on the %SNMP-3-INPUT_QFULL_ERR. But my concerns is that when these error starts they run for about 2 hours and I get thousands of syslog entries for this error. I want to be able to limit this script and may run once or twice regarldess of how many error I get. Can someone assist me in tweaking this?

Xcode 3.x to 4.2 transition - Runs once then stuck
I am teaching myself Xcode from a good book. However I ran into a strange thing where a code example runs once in Xcode 4.2 and after that builds clean but gets in a loop when running and never even brings up the screen I set up in XIB. It doesn't matter if I change the code or not. The message showing in the debugger is [Switching to process 5521 thread 0x0] - the number seems to be rather random. The first run was clearly stopped using the menu quit command, but it is like it is trying to write over itself or something.
It finally dawned on me that perhaps this has something to do with the upgrade from Xcode 3.x to Xcode 4.2. The book example I am following was written to Xcode 3. The book examples had similar errors with NSDictionary and NSArray examples.
The code is pretty short, so I am including it all. It really is beginner level. I am sure I just need an experienced eye to point out some mis-direction on my part. Thanks for any coaching I can get. I only wrote the first method and added a line to the init method.

I have windows xp sp3, run Mcaffee security software- when I open I-Tunes it does open however it will not connet to the I-Tunes store. Hello cor-el, thanks for your reply. I changed my settings for downloads to desktop and it has appeared on there. When I double click I am asked which program I want to open file. I click firefox and another box "opening install" says I have chosen to open the file which is an application and do I want to save it. This is the only real option so I press save file. I get a box saying this is an executable file which may contain viruses - do you want to run. I press ok and the final box showing C drive file name and desktop appears stating application not found.
This happens the same whenever I try to install.
To my untrained eye the application is not being recognised as an application and I cannot work out how to get it to do that.
My plugin is still showing as out of date.
Is there anything you could suggest. Thanks for your time. -
Windows Server 2008R2 running Remote Desktop Services reports printer process does not exist when installing PDF printer, And when Installing network printers from the domain controller it reports it cannot connect to printer. I can ping all
network devices. I can connect to the internet.
On boot I get a netlogon 5719 error followed by service control manager errors 7023,7001 and a group policy error 1129.
Clients can connect to the remote application and RDP operates to connect to the server internally and externally.
The domain controller is another server 2008r2 box. I have scoured the internet but have not found any solutions that work yet.Hi,

Can you able to ping with IP address and also with fully qualified name of a domain controller in the users' and computers' domain. If it fails states that name resolution issue with computer and domain controller. Are you using MS DHCP Relay agent then there’s
available Hotfix for the particular Event ID. Please go through this KB 2459530 to fix the error event ID.
As per the net logon error 5719 which you are facing states that the client component of Netlogon was unable to locate a DC for the domain it was trying to perform an operation against. Below is one of the reason. If this is being logged on a DC and the event
refers to the DC's own domain, something might be preventing the client component of Netlogon from starting a network session (to itself or to another DC in the domain). The following event 7001 & 7023 states start & stop operation service. Please
go through beneath article for more details.

I cannot sync my iPhone 4s with my Windows 7 laptop running Outlook 2010
Before upgrading to iOS 7, I had no problems with syncing my calendar automatically between my iPhone 4s running 5.1.?? and my calendar on my Windows 7 laptop running Outlook 2010. The calendar resides on the laptop. There is no exchange server.
When I updated to iOS 7, I had to update my iTunes as well. About a week later, I noticed that the calendar events entered into my laptop were not showing up in my iPhone. I got more and more frustrated with the <insert expletive> iOS 7 look and feel, and this just is just the straw that broke the camel's baclk. We're not talking about a feature not added, but a feature broken on purpose. If I cannot get this working, I'm going to Android.
I have tried multiple settings in the iPhone: turning iCloud on and off. All items are checked in the settings panel on iTunes and Outlook. I have read several threads in this support area, followed directions, and to naught. Several web sites have stated that it is not going to work again. I hope that not to be the case, and that the folk here may have a solution. I have updated the phone to 7.04 to no avail.
Thanks in advance,I am having a very similar problem. Until 12 hours ago, I was using my recently replaced 4s (with iOS7) flawlessly, receiving emails and calendar info from Exchange (Outlook 2010). But starting last night, it all stopped. I have deleted and added the account several times, tried making simple changes (considering whether the username is case sensitive, or not, etc.) and cannot fix it. I have iOS 7.04. Interestingly, the first time I changed the case to lower case, it seemed to respond immediately, and downloaded many emails with no sender, no content, and with a 12/31/69 date. Yes, 1969. And then nothing happened. Help please!

Yes you can but you need to partition the drive into at least 2 separate drives.
To do that you need to use a Windows PC to do the first partitioning. Say you split the drive into two partitions each 1TB (or close to 1TB) each.
Partition fand format both partitions on a Win PC as one NTFS and the other FAT32.
Then move it to the Mac and Reformat the FAT32 partition Mac Extended (Journaled) with a GUID Partition Table.
I have that same drive and that is what I did originally with it. I now have it just for the Mac as I have other externals for the Win systems.

I installed IOUSB family log release osx 10.5.6 on my mac osx 10.5.8. I am trying to log an rfid reader on the usb. Sadly on restart the usb is no longer working. Happily Windows is still running OK. Is there a way to get my usb back working? And is there a way to navigate in Windows to the file I installed and remove it? Any help appreciated.

Yes, it does. Right to where I am supposed to log in, but since the USB is not working (either mouse or keyboard), I'm stuck. I have to shut down and restart and boot into windows. -

HP C309 G Printer wont install in Windows 7 64bit running under BootCamp on a new iMac
Just bought a new iMac. Installed HP C309 all in one without incident on the Mac side. I am also running Windows 7 on iMac through a program called Bootcamp. When I boot to Windows 7 and try to install the newly downloaded software for windows 7 from the HP site, it begins to load then stops, giving me two error messages. They are both essentially the same except one says software and the other says hardware. The software one says: This computer does not have the necessary USB software support to allow completion of a USB installation. The printer plugs directly into the monitor in one of four usb ports. All the usb ports work on the system when using Windows 7. I have other devices working and plugged into the usb ports while in Windows 7. It is almost like the printer software is unable to find the usb software or hardware. Any ideasWell, you have a full Window's 7 install so you would really have to go to HP and/or Microsoft to see what is going on. Bootcamp basically is only involved with "booting" and just installs Apple product drivers and such. Just treat the Window's side as if you are using it on a "normal" Window's PC. (As far as problems, crash's, updates, or any other Windows, HP, etc, problems you may have.)

So,,, that means the printer "works" (prints) on the Mac or the installer just worked? Make sure the Printer actually prints in the Mac side as you may have a dead USB port on the Printer. It happens.
If your HP works fine (prints) in the Apple environment you know it's not the USB ports on either the printer or the computer.
You said you already downloaded the newer versions, have you tried using the drivers on the install disk and then update them to the newer ones? Also if you haven't yet, make sure the drivers are for the 64bit version, just a thought.

Windows 8 Pro running very slow after upgrade

I ve just upgraded to windows 8 Pro (64-bit) from Windows 7 Pro (64-bit) on macbook pro retina 15 but windows 8 is running very slow on my MBP whereas windows 7 was lightning fast. Now in windows 8 i have to wait till my app is active for click and also sometimes the apps take long time to load .. has anyone experienced this kind of problem in windows 8 .. i ve restarted it many times but its not quick as compared to windows 7... bahhhh i was expecting high performace on core i7 2.6 GHz 8 GB RAM machineRemove the installation and start again, it's Wndows, treat it like Windows.
