OS : Windows 8.1 Enterprise
TPM Chip : None
Enabling bitlocker on OS drive with a password at boot time is a 2 step process.
1) Edit the Group Policy (gpedit.msc) - Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> BitLocker Drive Encryption -> Operating System Drives ->
Require additional authentication at startup -> Allow bitlocker without a compatible TPM

I need help to do this using powershell scripts?
I researched on the forums but ran into an issue.
I found that Group policy commandlets can be used to do step 1.
I am getting the error : "ins have been registered for Windows PowerShell version 4" when I try to do the following in windows 8.1

I am new the site and this is my first request.
I have to download pfd, instead of waiting the user for complete download of the page, first I need to display first page, and then in the background I have to download the rest of the document. Which is byte serving. I try to implement byte serving (fast web view for pdf) for pdf files in Tomcat 5.x it is not working. The same functionality is working in other servers.
I have not done any coding to use byte serving in the other servers, simply I enable byte serving for pdf using the adobe.
Can any one help me …..

I am one of the exchange admins for our organization. Every year, we publish academic calendar data to all faculty and staff calendars. We recently updated and migrated from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010 which, of course, desupported MAPI and
ADO. The processes we previously used had to be re-written using Exchange Web Services API (EWS). Because I find that powershell is easy to work with, I wanted to integrate the calendar dispersal using powershell.
Having not found much help online using the EWS .NET library in powershell for this purpose, I decided to share my code:

I am trying to add addition propertires like TV, Copier etc. to Room Mailbox in Exchange 2010 using following commands:-
[PS] C:\Windows\system32>$ResourceConfiguration = Get-ResourceConfig
[PS] C:\Windows\system32>$ResourceConfiguration.ResourcePropertySchema+=("Room/Whiteboard")
Upper two commands run fine but following command gives error:-
[PS] C:\Windows\system32>Set-ResourceConfig -ResourcePropertySchema $ResourceConfiguration.ResourcePropertySchema

How to pass values to variables in WAD 7.0 using java script

Hi.,
My requirement is based on WAD 7.0.
The sales value has to displayed in WAD using graph with various chart types.
I have created variables for plant and material group in a query.
I have created drop down box for plant with all plants in it, check box for material group and a Submit button in WAD in FORM tag of HTML coding.
Once all the values are set in drop down box, checkbox and if the user clicks on submit button, the values has to captured by the variables for which I have created and the graph has to be aligned to the new values in variables.
Kindly help me how to use java script to get the values from FORM and pass it to variables.

Hi Selva,
You do not need to use Javascript for this. Instead you can achieve this by using API Commands in WAD 7.0.
Please configure Action on the ButtonGroup webitem to use 'Commands'.
->Choose Command 'Set Variables Values / SET_VARIABLES_STATE' under Commands for Web Templates
->Set Display Variable Screen setting to OFF
->Choose Query Variable for Plant, Select Variable Type as 'Binding Type', Binding Type as 'Data Provider Selection', Data Provider as the one you have assigned to the Dropdown webitem, Characteristic as 0PLANT or as that assigned to the Dropdown webitem
->Repeat above steps for Query Variable Material Group
Now when you make a selection from the Dropdown webitems, the Chart output will change accordingly. Let me know if this helps.

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to deploy sandboxed solution .wsp file to sharepoint 2013 online.
"Add-SPSolution" command is not available in SharePoint Online management shell. So, we cannot use PowerShell to update and deploy a solution in SharePoint Online environment. Meanwhile, here is index of Windows PowerShell for SharePoint Online

You can CSOM to deploy solution using helper class from CodePlex. The activation code is as follows: SandboxSolutions.ActivateSolution(siteCollectionURl, cookies, "solution_name.wsp");

Instead of applying security to user level, it'll be better to create a SharePoint group where you will add the users. and use the outof the box interface to give permissions.
and for your button, just add the direct link to add user
http://serverurl/_layouts/15/aclinv.aspx?GroupId=7&IsDlg=1
replacing the group ID by the id of your new group (you can see it in the url when your are in the group)
