Windows 8 and 8.1 keep deactivating and reactivating themselves.

I have two windows 8 systems. One is windows 8 and the other is windows 8.1. Both are in older computers that had brand new drives installed and a fresh copy of windows installed on each. They have not been upgraded from windows 7 but they had windows
8 installed directly on them.
Both are experiencing the same issue which is that Windows continuously deactivates itself and then will reactivate itself.
Neither have had any registry editors on them. They are both domain computers connected to a 2008SBS domain controller with 20 other systems (all windows 7) that are all working fine.
They have AVG business edition with nothing but the antivirus and remote connection components installed (same thing with all other systems). The systems are behind a cisco firewall and the windows firewalls. They are fully up to date.
They were both installed using OEM licenses.
Neither of them have ever had android devices connected to them (I have seen similar posts about these causing issues). I have run sfc and dism on both. On one it claims it finds nothing wrong and on the other it found stuff wrong and says it fixed
it but both are still deactivating themselves.
Please help me get this resolved!

Hi Sklartech,
Please share us more information for better analyzation:
1. Do you receive any special error messages when you experience this issue? Please check the event viewer to see if any related logs exist.
2. How do you use the OME license to activate these old computers?
3. What is the activation method in the domain? Does this issue occur when we are out of the domain?
We could run slmgr.vbs to check the license type and status and share us the result.

If resetting the camera app doesn't work you can try restoring your iPhone's software. The entire process takes about an hour to an hour and a half. Make sure you do a backup. Make sure you do a backup.

The next time the crash happens, note the date and time the problem occurred, then go to Applications/Utilities/Console and copy the log starting at the time of the crash. Was your phone jailbroken or "unlocked" by someone other than the carrier it was originally locked to?
Sounds like you have a hacke/jailbroken phone.

Aprp44, the easiest thing you could do, is delete your outlook mail, and readd it. That will usually take care of almost any issue you're having.

  • Windows 8 explorer.exe keeps crashing and I can't use Windows update as a result!

I've got Windows 8 64-bit, and it's been running fine for about 2 months now. Just today, it's started to crash the desktop every 6 seconds. The screen goes purple (which I'm pretty sure is just my chosen background colour), the outline of the taskbar remains,
but all the icons disappear, and then everything returns, only to crash again in another 6 seconds. I've watched the task manager, and under "background processes", an icon called "Windows Problem Reporting" appears for about a second,
    and then goes away.
I've looked up some other people's questions about this, and most people seem to recommend checking for updates, or installing new graphics drivers, but this is not an option for me. Whenever the desktop crashes, it shuts down control panel as well. This
means I can't start my computer in safe mode, I can't check for updates, I can't uninstall/update drivers, I basically can't make any changes to my computer! Even as I'm writing this message, the cursor keeps disappearing from the test box whenever the desktop
crashes, and I have to click on the screen every 6 seconds. ARGH!

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See "Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile":

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

  • How to cancel TV and Phone while keeping Internet and Home Security

We have moved to CA and have Xfinity TV and Internet connected at our new address. However, we still have Triple Play (TV, Phone, Internet) AND Home Security service at our prior address in MN. We need to disconnect TV and Phone in MN immediately, but keep the Internet and Home Security services for another few weeks until we close on the house sale. We've spoken to multiple reps in CA and MN and been given the run around. Xfinity Home refers us to Comcast customer support, which refers us vack to Xfinity home. CA reps say only MN can get the MN account sorted out. Complete cluster.

ComcastZach, I think I love you.

  • My keyboard has gone haywire, shift keys and scroll Lock keeps turning on by themselves!

Hello, recently I have a problem typing with my laptop. Mutliple times a day, both of the shift keys, and the scroll lock key turns on by themselves. These are the problems I face when typing: 1. Unwanted text is highlighted2. Letters are capital although caps lock is not on.3. When I try to browse in Google Chrome, text gets deleted and random windows start to pop up4. For some reason the word "QWEPRUIO" starts appearing sometimes when I type.
    5. Someimes while I type, suddenly the text gone missing and an asterik * appears.6. Also when this happens, my wi-fi gets turned off automatically. IT guys at my work place tried fixing it but we can't seem to find the problem source. Please help me, this is getting rather annoying especially I am using the laptoo for work!It took me more than half an hour to type a decent email to my client Thanks!

By any chance did something get spilled onto the keyboard (even a small amount)? Liquids can definitely cause this type of issue (Trust me, I know from experience, I have kids.). If you rule that out then open the System Preferences and click on the Keyboard settings, put a check in the 'Show Input menu in menu bar' box. This will add a menu bar pull down menu that will allow you to 'Show Keyboard Viewer.' If you select the 'Show Keyboard Viewer' option does the keyboard layout match the keyboard you are using? When you press the keys you are having issue with does the corresponding key light up on the keyboard viewer? Please post your results.
