Windows command length execeeded when add java options in opmn.xml

Hi All,
I have a Oracle AS 9i installed on Windows 2000. There are some requirement from my application that need to add additional java-options when start up OC4J. So, I updated the opmn.xml by add my things to <data id="java-options" > for start-parameters.
But when I start up server, I got following information in ipm.log:
06/05/16 17:18:06 create_proc: Windows command length exceeded: D:\ora9ias\jdk\bin\javaw.exe
I have tried Oracle AS 10g with the same OS and java-options, the server can start up without any problem.
Is there anyway to make Oracle AS 9i work in this situation?

Solved the issue simply by editing the xml file with sed:

How do you add start parameters in opmn.xml with a command?

I'm trying to make a shell script to install an OC4J automatically. What I need to do now is adding start-parameters to the opmn.xml. Obviously, I don't want to go into the file itself and manually add the text. Is there a command to set them?? Or is there any other way around this?
I.e., I want to add -Duser.country=SE and -Duser.language=sv as below:

Numprocs option in opmn.xml is not working for me

Hi Folks,
I wat to try numprocs=2 to create 2 JVMs and try some load runs to check the performance improvements.
When I went to server Config page in administration tab of EM. There I see the "number of VMs" input box is disable.
So I directly went to opmn.xml and changed the numprocs="2" from 1. Now when I restarted the App server, I find 2 JVMs are running which is fine.
But the issue here is that I not able to open EM when I am using numprocs=2. I am getting following error when i open my EM...
Error: Application Server Control cannot run on an OC4J instance with more than one Java Virtual Machine (JVM).
So I doubt I am doing some thing wrong. Please let me know what is the issue..
1. Why the number of VMs input box is disabled?
2. Why I am not able to open EM when I manualy change opmn.xml.
Please help me out as early as possible... Thanks in advance...

Adding a runtime option in opmn.xml had no effect

We just [added a java-option|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31017_01/web.1013/b28950/sysprops.htm#CHDEEDAA] (-Djbo.debugoutput=silent) for an oc4j container (10g 10.1.3.0.0) but it had no effect.
What could be the reason for this?
The following line still keeps appearing in the logs:
10/01/10 11:36:41 Diagnostics: (BC4J Bootstrap) Routing diagnostics to standard output (use -Djbo.debugoutput=silent to remove)

Welcome to the forum.
One of the issues with Widescreen material is that most 16:9 TV's, and even some DVD/BD players, have settings on how 16:9 material will be displayed.
As a test, choose Burn to Folder (on your computer), which will result in a VIDEO_TS folder with the IFO, BUP and VOB files inside (plus an OpenDVD folder). Use a DVD software player, such as CyberLink's PowerDVD, or the free MediaPlayer Classic HC, to play that VIDEO_TS folder. Does that software player display the material as 16:9, or as 4:3?
That should tell us if there is an issue with the VIDEO_TS folder's files and the PAR flag, or if the issue might be elsewhere.

For downloads in windows 7, how can I add the option to "save as" instead of just "open" or "save"

Hi, could really use your help! Recently updated Firefox. I used to click on downloads and be able to "save as". Now, I can only "open" or "save". When I click on "save", all the files go to one default downloads folder. Then I have to open explorer, locate the folder and file, then cut and paste it to the appropriate folder. A cumbersome process!
Does anyone have a solution? Thanks!

It works - thanks so much! Note if others have this issue, you may think it's not working - you'll still get the same pop-up box with only two options - "open" or "save". However, when you click "save", it then gives you the option where you'd like to save it to.

Event window clips go black when add keyword

Any one had this problem? Know a solution?
I have an event with about 500 clips. I added a keyword to half the clips (click first clip then shift-click the last in the range). Took a while but no problem.
Then I added a keyword to the second half of the clips (about 250 clips). Took a while again. But now, about 80% of the clip thumbnails are black. The video will play in the viewer. And the thumbnail appears if I scrub over the black clips.
I had to remove the keywords and the thumbnails came back to normal.

Sounds like a bug. If you can reproduce it, open a bug report with Apple. I've never done this, so I have not seen it.

Optional attributes in XML to ABAP transformation

I have to deserialize (transformation xml to abap) an xml input file.
I want to use SAP ST (Simple Transformations).
This xml format is using attributes
Such attributes can be transformed in ST with
<tt:attribute name="item_id" value-ref="MATNR"/>
I realized 2 problems:
1. If the xml file does not contain every attribute which is in the transformation.
This can be solved by tt:cond
Sample
 <tt:cond>
 <tt:attribute name="uom" value-ref="BASE_UOM"/>
 </tt:cond>
Now attribute uom is optional. Without the tt:cond the ST prragrom would throw exception if it is not in the file.
2. If the xml file contains an attribute which is not used in the transformation.
I tried to use tt:skip but it is not working for "<tt:attribute name= ... value-ref=... name" but only for "<tt:value-ref=...".
I only want to get the values I need out of the parameter list.
How can I achieve this without defining a transformation for every parameter in the xml file?

thanks for reply. It took me into the right direction. You have to distinguish between elements (ordered structured nodes) and attributes (unordered structured nodes). In my case they are using attributes for the values of a material master.
Here is a snippet (sample of the XML):

Length, width and hight are optional in the XML and will be transferred to the corresponding SAP fields if they are in the input file Weight and volume will be ignored.
This means all attributes I don't need I have to put within the tt:skip.
Without this skip the transformation throws an error.
In consequence if the partner system add new attributes I have to enhance the transformation in SAP.
Is there any other way?

I have windows 7 64bit. When i installed firefox and then java, i do not have java tm platform or any java plugin. I can't watch free movie's online!!

As i told i have Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit version. I install java and have problems with Java Deployment Toolkit and Java(TM) Platform SE. It won't show in add-on. I cant watch movies. When I play movie it says java is missing but when I use IE I can watch some movies. I try reinstaling Java and even reinstall Windows. But problem was still there. I run java check (from Firefox) to see if java is installed and it confrmed. I even try diferent versions of Java and Mozilla. I even use JDK and JRE. I install java for 64bit and mozilla is also for 64bit version of system.
I have another laptop with 32 bit version and everything works great. Installation procedure was same (only used 32bit versions of softwares).
When I go to control panel and java options (windows 64bit) enable java content in your browser is marked. But in advanced tab default java for browser (mozilla family) is unmarked. And when I mark box and leave (apply then ok) and return box is empty. It wont confirm. In 32bit version of laptop i have alsou java plugin but in 64 bit it is not there. Here is a picture what I was talking about. This is on windows 32 bit for 64bit is some just box for mozilla family is empty and under that java plugin do not exist.

you don't have to reinstall firefox or java, you can just download and install the 32bit-java next to your currently installed java version. it should then be picked up by firefox and be displayed under firefox > addons > plugins...

Java Code Compilation in Windows Command Prompt

Hi Everyone,
I have been programming in java for quite some time now using an IDE (eclipse). I downloaded the following java file from:

and have downloaded the required JMF. The problem is that I want to compile and run this code in Windows Command Prompt; however, I keep receiving errors upon compilation because I do not know how to make jmf.jar be recognized as a library.

Add-ons window does not appear when selected from Tools/Addons unless new tab opened first

Addons window does not open when Tools/Addons selected, unless New Tab (blank) selected first. Is there a fix, or is this a bug

This is an issue with one of your add-ons, Mr Tech Toolkit, it is a known problem but I know of no fix, though there are some workarounds.
In the Mr Tech Toolkit options, on the "Manager Hacks > Behaviour" section, you will have "Select Window Target" set to "New Tab". A workaround is to change it to "New Window"
Another workaround is to use a bookmark to open the add-ons manager in a tab. Create a bookmark with the following location:
chrome://mozapps/content/extensions/extensions.xul

Clicking on add ons options button causes the add on window to hang on version 3.6.3 but no problem on 3.5

I am having the same problem under 3.6.11. I have checked ALL of my add-ons and they HAVE chrome.manifest files. This bug may resemble the one in 529655, but it is not a duplicate because it is not functioning the same way. It may be failing in the same way because it is not finding the chrome.manifest files, not because they don't exist.
Also, my extensions do not appear to be functioning, whether I can access the options button or not. I have been using Greasemonkey for a long time, and it has worked perfectly. When I updated to 3.6.11, I noticed that the icon was no longer present, and this option-button bug surfaced for ALL add-ons. Also, my Delicious.com addon ceased to function at the same time, and could not be reactivated.
I suspect this may have something to do with the functionality recently installed to prevent "stealth" installs of add-ons. I would suggest looking in that area, where it might be overlapping the code that checks the location of the chrome.manifest file and the validity of the add-on at startup. The add-ons aren't starting at all, valid options cannot be accessed, and the problem started about the time the whole Microsoft stealth add-on issue (NO, I DON'T want to debate whether it was actually a "stealth" add-on or not, THANK YOU -- trolls kindly remain under your bridges!) came up.

How to add java script option in firefox as this is not available in the menu of tools menu and content of firefox

I am regular computer user and firefox is my default web browser. But it is seen that my web browser is not having the option of enable java scripts as I am learning web page designing. Could you please tell me how to add this option in my web browser on mozila as I am interested to work mozila all the time. I can add this by using internet but that is not always easy and also not sure when this option is enable or disable. Please guide me resolving my problem.

You can no longer do that via the user interface, but you need to check the related pref on the about:config page.
The javascript.enabled pref should be true on the about:config page to enable JavaScript.
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar.
You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.

I'm trying to import below XML profile to Windows 7 machine and no matter what profile i use (even the one it was on that computer originally it gives me an error.

- closed the connection and run command: netsh mbn delete profile interface="Mobile Broadband Connection" name=TestProfile
- and then tried to add the profile under changed name (no profile changes made): netsh mbn add profile interface="Mobile Broadband Connection" name="test.xml"
- received very nice message: Add Profile Failure: Invalid Profile XML

Got an answer. It required some debugging, but I end up finding it.
When you add that profile, system executes a function which compares Subscription ID tag with the one it has in system already. If one is already there then overwrites the profile, if NULL adds the profile. Problem is, as soon as any of
the profiles are configured manually to redistribute later, the Subscription ID tag is encoded. And window doesn't know how to decode it, so it fires an error.
The Subscription tag is an IMSI number, when you right click it on your connection and go to properties, you will see it there, 15 digits. Copy it and paste it to the XML file replacing encoded number.
It works as a charm.

Java with Windows Commands

Ok, this is a pretty tricky one. Is there a way where I can tell java to execute windows commands? I mean, I would want to develop an app that when the user quits the java app, the machine would log out the current user using code. If somebody could give me any ideas how this can be possible, I would really appreciate it. The java app is going to be run from a JScript file that is going to be loaded as the user logs on to the machine. If anyone know of any way to do this with JScript as well, I would really aprreciate it. Thanks.
