Windows forms application not showing in express 2012 windows 8.

I downloaded Visual Studio Express 2012 for windows 8.  I am trying something in Visual Basic and need to select  Windows Forms Application.   Visual Basic and Windows Store are available on the left side of the window.  
Windows Forms Application Template is not  in the New Project dialog box.  How is this?  What can be done?

You downloaded the wrong edition if you want the Windows Forms template.
VSE 2012 for Win 8 supports Windows Store app development.
You want the VSE 2012 for Windows
Desktop edition.
Better still, you could get the new, free, Visual studio 2013 Community Edition, which supports Windows Desktop, Windows Store, and web application development:

    I am trying to do a POC on license management from  SCCM 2012. I have configures a SCCM 2012 server and intune subscription also. I have Android, iOS and desktop apps uploaded (.msi). when I enrolled android and ios devices its shows up in SCCM,
    devices collection but do not show in Intune.
    my company portal is nicely coming up on android and iOS tabs. on the other hand company portal showing only Web apps, on a win8.1/7 laptop.
    When I tried to enroll 2 windows 8.1/ 7 laptop (intel x86), they donot show up in SCCM. clients of intune manually installed, endpoint protection of SCCM installed also on both boxes.
    I tried updating membership in SCCM for both know and unknown type, many time and also triggered Deployment of some desktop app, to the win 8.1 laptops. the desktops are showing in Intune All devices -> all computers nicely. But
    not in SCCM2012.
    what did I missed, I tried to add all the logical roles. below is some details what shows up in Intune:

    If you installed the Intune agents on the Win 8.1 and Win 7 systems, then they will never show up in ConfigMgr.
    There are basically two parts of Intune -- a Mobile Device Management piece and a Windows management piece. The Intune connector in ConfigMgr takes over the MDM piece and nothing more. When ConfigMgr takes over this MDM piece, as Torsten said, all MDM devices
    enrolled show up in ConfigMgr and not Intune because that's now controlled by ConfigMgr. The Windows management piece remains unchanged and separate though and so those systems will be directly managed by Intune only or ConfigMgr only.
    So you have three options there:
    - Install the ConfigMgr agent and managed using COnfigMgr
    - Install the Intune agent and manage using Intune
    - Enroll the systems using OMA-DM which manages them as if they were devices. This means so you don't get SCEP or Windows Updates or most of the other ConfigMgr functionality. This is only valid for Win 8.1 though.

    I have published my application a month ago but it is not showing on my account app list or even in application search in store.
    It is showing options for " Hide app in Store" and " Update App" but not displaying on store. And I have updated my one application for free even though it is still showing buy button on store .

    Store asks you to provide email address for your app. Fill in it to see if still hide your app.

  • Applications not showing up in System Profiler?

    Anyone know why? All it says is "no information found" and hitting "refresh" makes no difference.
    Could it be somehow it uses spotlight to find the applications?
    It shows up the same blank page whether I boot into 64 or 32 bit.

    Applications still not showing up. I also tried a safe boot; no go. The safe boot did solve another issue I was having; my security panel in system preferences would not open. After it did in safe boot, it opens in my main administrator account.
    But no go on the applications in sys profiler. However, I did install the same 10.6.5 on another internal drive with all updates, and THAT boot WILL show me all my applications, including all the ones on two parallels windows versions (XP and 7) and my bootcamp windows drive, so if I need a list, I'll do that.
    I'm guessing probably a symbolic link to the applications folder is amiss or possibly system profiler preferences.
    But don't know how to futz with those.

    P.S. OK, I do know how to futz with the sysprofiler plist. Not the problem. Did the usual... dragged it to the trash, opened up system profiler, it created a new plist, STILL no applications showing up.
    I haven't moved my applications nor anything in my home folder nor changed my name or anything. Just really strange.

  • Form does not show up after been put in portal page

    I have created form application and tested it in 9iAS but when I put it in Portal page, It does not show up in the Portal page. The report that I created under the same Application does show up. However, it does not show the form. I have check the Access and everything looks right. (I even grant it to the public and still does not work).
    Any help would be appreciated.

    I have the same problem as Johnny. Chetan, in answer to your questions:
    1. Yes, I am using "Inherit Privilege from Application"
    2. I tried it both on a page and on a tab and checked security, following the directions in "Building Portals, Release 3.0.8" Using "Portal30" login, access "Manage" etc.
    3. Yes, the form runs in Application, but not as a portlet on a portal page. We are using the standard demo configuration, Oracle 8i (enterprise ed.) and Oracle9i Application Server (minimal ed.).
    4. Yes, valid production version.
    5. I tried running reports and forms from same application and from different applications. Still does not show up on portal page.
    6. It occurs for all forms.
    7. Steps: As I indicated, I followed the directions closely in "Building Portals" which builds "Form based on table or view", "Publish to Portal" I even tried the database sequence (see page 4-27) and added that to the form configuration. I'm running it on NT 4.0 (service pack 5). The software was downloaded from the Oracle site.

  • "edit" link from report to form does not show values

    I created a report and an attached form on two different pages. The report is a query combining two tables with outer joins. When I click on the "edit" button on the report, I get forwarded to the form page.
    My problem: When I get forwarded to the forms page, I get an empty form, and not the data from the column as expected. The "edit" button behaves more like the "create" button. Anybody an idea what I could change to be able to edit the column data?

    I've met the similar problem with previous releases (1.5.0 and 1.5.1) without any objective reason.
    As I suggests, sometimes HTMLDB lost current session state. When this occurs, ALL links from reports to it's forms does not transit primary keys. I've just completed application development and I've met this behaviour every months.
    As a workaround I found folowwjing process:
    Come into administration tab, selet "Report with option to purge current session state". When I purge current session state and re-login to application, all report-form links will start to work.
    I don't know, what is the issue, but I met it so soon on my local HTMLDB environment.

    Note: the user is fully provisioned for all HFM applications, however, they do not show up in Calc Mgr.
    There was a known issue in 11.1.2.1 where a patch fixed this issue, however, this is 11.1.2.2 and I see no applicable patch.

    Yes the issue in 11.1.2.1 should be fixed in 11.1.2.2
    The 11.1.2.2 Readme has it in the list of defects fixed:
    12421352 - You cannot select Financial Management Classic applications from Oracle Hyperion Calculation Manager.
    It may be worth logging with Oracle is you believe the configuration is correct.

  • Application not Showing Up on Application Report

    I have 7 computers to manage and on one system InDesign (CS4) does not show up on the application usage report. I know she's using the application because this is the primary software we use in our department. Can anyone tell me why it's not showing up on the application report?
    Her system is an imac 10.4.11

    Have you verified that the app is in it's original location with the correct name?
    What version of ARD are you using?
    Have you checked the reporting settings on that system? Are you getting usage for other apps and just not ID?

  • Interactive form is not showing data during design time

    I have created a interactive form to display PDF. It is of 12 page. I created and checked in the code to DTR but now when I checked out the DC and and edited the interactive form for further update it is not showing any thing in the design time,showing only one blank page. However if I build and run that checked out project it is showing the proper data at runtime, so now i am unable to update the pdf.
    Please help and let me know what to do.

    Sorry for the late response and not specifying more in detail.
    My Jdeveloper version is 11.1.1.6 R1.  When I ran for the first time, it was working fine. Then later on, when I was running it was opening completely blank screen.
    I thought it is something to do with the permission to the task flow. I have opened web.xml and jazn-data.xml file to check and closed without tweaking these files.
    Now, I was not able to open the page in the designer also. It was just showing hierarchy of all the components.
    I copied the backup again and it worked. What could be the reason so that I can avoid doing this in future?
    Is this related to Jdeveloper bug as I have seen on other forums highlighting this issue.

    Just installed Maverick and the Maps application does not show the map images (Standard, Hybrid, or Satellite) - see below.  Otherwise everything seems to be working in the sense if you create a drop pin it will show the address, etc.  Any ideas?

    Ended up doing a clean install of Mavericks for other reasons and the Maps app now working.

    Hi, I am usually tech savvy, but so far I have had no luck at all trying to get the applications to list on my BB Desktop Software v6.1.0.35 - only shows the apps I have installed from or have available on my PC.  Does not show any other apps that are currently installed on my BB.  Also, no matter how much I have removed, still shows 144MB remaining.
    On the BB itself, I can see all the applications listed (even the hidden ones like BB Maps), but how do I manage these from my PC?

    hmm... just keep looking. You might not have an applications or download folder. All themes and devices are different.
    Look at Options > Advanced > Applications. Is your application listed there?
    if so, With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot.
    Now, look all over the homescreen again for the application in question.

  • Airport utility 6.3.2 not showing  airport express

    Hello
    Ive just updated to OSX Mavricks on MBP 13" (early 2011) and  i noticed a problem. in Airport Utility 6.3.2 it is not showing my Airport Express
    on my ipad i can see and access my AE but not on my mackbook. the internet works  but  normally where there is the AE is just a spinning wheel.
    Ive tried everything i can think of and googled and searched the forum here. i cant even find the version  it say i have to reinstall the app to see if maybe
    that works. ive repaired permissions etc.

    exactly the same with me. On MacBook Pro AU (version 6.3.2) is unable to find the AirPort Extreme (firmware 7.6.4). My iPhone 4S, however, shows the base station as expected. Googled, reset, unplugged, I tried everything I could but without any luck... The strangest thing is that it was working fine for a while, but not anymore. WiFi connection works seamleaslly. I'm indeed a bit dissatisfied.
    Should anyone point us to a direction, I would pay a beer for him/her

  • Why are my applications not showing up?

    After I downloaded the 3.1.1 update for my iTouch some of my applications are not showing up on my iTouch. I tried restarting the iTouch to see if that would help but it didn't. The applications still show up in my iTunes list but they are not on the iTouch. Is this problem because some of the free apps are not compatible with this update or is it something else? Please help me with this. Thanks.

    Wow that worked. I haven't gotten a chance to learn all the new stuff that comes with the update all I noticed was that my apps were missing as soon as I updated my iTouch. I found them now using the search feature. Thanks for the help.

    I don't think this is related to the above question, but the linked "solution" is as good as I can come up with, however it looks like its possible that ALL the libraries in the collection are suffering the same situation...
    WHATS HAPPENING:
    our site was migrated to 2013 from 2010 from 2007 and is running in compatability mode around 6-18 months ago. I'm pretty sure the old system is gone too - database backups might be obtainable... not sure.
    There are a bunch of "site columns" that are used consistently across the collections libraries (there seems to be a general avoidance of "content types", don't ask me why, I don't know, I also don't know what would be involved in moving
    them all to content types as many of the sites "views and webparts" use the content type columns to surface things all over the place, so I suspect it would be a big job), but folks have recently noticed that some documents are missing from various
    pages (webparts that are gathering documents from these columns values).
    But the problem is that it seems that since the update most (all?) of the document libraries NO LONGER enforce the requirement and litterally only show "name*", and "title" in display and edit properties...
    Any ideas on how to get things back to showing the "proper" forms (I can only guess what this was from documentation and screenshots and general guessing based on the "commonness" of the columns in question)? Or is there a way to merge
    or migrate "columns" to content types in some way that is either "collection wide" or non-breaking?
    ANY assistance would be greatly appreciated!

    So just to be sure are you saying that '2010 compatabilty mode' is causing these issues?
    Just to be SUPER clear from my end this is what I'm seeing as an example;
    For a collection
    with site columns
    many but not all lists
    many but not all list items
    --> are missing valid data in the site columns that have been registered for that list.
    sample:
    name          modified by    doctype     department
    item1.docx   username   <blank>  <blank>
    item2.docx   username    WorkInstruction    Planning
    if you click "edit properties" you are presented with ONLY the (I'm guessing) content types fields (eg: for Document you get Name and Title) and NONE of the other fields that should be specified.
    However if you hit "save" you can see that the data in these fields returns to the "list view" (however it does not re-enable these fields from being active in the View/Edit properties pages).
    Is this something that can be fixed? Or are you saying that we need to backup the DB and restore to a FULL version (not in compatability mode) of SharePoint2013? Or are you saying we need to revert to our PRE update backup and do something?
    Its been many months since thsi upgrade was done and the system has changed a lot, so you can imagine we are reluctant to loose much of these changes...
