Windows Mail - prints ok, but misses the sides as if it's been magnified slightly (HP Deskjet F2290)

When I select an e-mail for printing in Windows Mail, it prints without problems but the finished print looks as if it's been magnified. It prints to the outside of each page but misses the begining and end of each line. I'm using Vista Home Basic, any suggestions?

Finally, after installing and uninstalling the print cartridges on my HP-3510 around 10 times; I finally got the alignment page to print and then scan successfully. It's a nice, very economical printer when it works properly. I was on the verge of tossing it but glad I didn't. I guess the lesson is that persistence can pay off. I recently purchased FaceTime from the Application Store. After approx. ±10 meg, the application resets and starts downloading again. I have tried to download it at different times of the day but with the same results. I have been in contact with Apple support and have tried different options with the same result. I cannot download a new Version because in my Purchased List the applicaiton (FaceTime) is still there, and because I have halted it it tells me to resume. I can’t, because the same thing is going to happen. I have tried all the various troubleshooting tips supplied by my ISP and also Apple Support with no luck. I am currently working on a IMac OS 10.6.7. Has anybody got any ideas? Any suggestion would help. Thanks

The reason i asked about the LED on the AppleTV is that occasionally it thinks it's paired with a specific remote and ignores others - the unpair keypress I described is quick and free.

Hi, and thanks for taking time to read this as I’m in need of your help.
I have a Toshiba P200, Vista Home Premium, Tiscali as my ISP, Norton Internet Security for AV and firewall, and am accessing my broadband via Ethernet to a Belkin ADSL router (and occasionally a Siemens router) and I’m experiencing some strange happenings with Windows Mail.
In short I can receive mail with no problems, but when I send the mail it stays in the outbox despite the Send Immediate option being checked or pressing the Send/Receive button. When I exit Windows Mail the mail is sent straight away, and is in the Sent Mail folder when I restart Windows Mail.
So why do I think there’s a problem with the laptop. Well, I’m fortunate enough to have a friend who has an non-Toshiba laptop, where all of the above can be replicated. Guess what, Windows Mail sends the mail exactly as it should (on my Tiscali account and on my network, through my router and ISP etc.), so I conclude that the only difference is that my laptop is a P200.
I have called Tiscali who confirmed that all my Mail settings were OK, POP, SMTP etc, which I’d expect (as they work on my friend’s laptop), and they advised I contact Microsoft, which I did, and since the P200 has Vista pre-installed they say I have to contact Toshiba, and here I am.
My P200 has been restored to factory settings, and I have tried to get this working without Norton IS, and no firewalls (Vista and router), but no luck.
Any ideas would be much appreciated and if I find out by other means, I’ll post back with outcome. If the answer is already out there, I apologise for being too dumb to locate it and beg your patience.

It is typical for support people. Every of them try to send the customers away and the reason should be by them. In my opinion Microsofts reaction is strange for me. They have designed operating system and they should be responsible for the functionality.
I have Satellite A200 and Satellite P200D and I use Windows Mail on both of them successfully. My notebook is connected to WLAN router and router directly to the phone line. To be honest I have configured Windows Mail like you and all job were done in few minutes.
It is not easy to say where the problem can be but I believe there is some problem with some settings on your notebook. Some of them block it somehow. To compare your, with friends notebook is also not the best because he can have completely different OS settings (antivir application, firewall settings).
Try to disable all features who can block Windows hotmail to see if there is some difference.

for cups some things I have tried are

I can see the printer with smbclient
So the printer spools, but will not print. the paper does not move I just hear the printer. Also when I watch the print queues in windows and linux. Cups shows that it sent the document, but when I watch the windows queue it shows the document, but the size of the document stays at 32 kb out of 1.8 mb and says printing. I hope this makes sense. I am just trying to keep things very simple at this point. I just want to understand what the problem is and build on it.

Power off printer and router. Power on router and wait 3 mins, power on printer. Does it connect to the router now? Do you have a valid IP address?

I am struggling to connect my macbook pro to a wireless network. Works fine with USB and my Toshiba can print wirelessly but not the MAC. Any ideas?

If you can use the wireless network properly (surf the web, check email, etc.) then there is probably nothing wrong with your network settings.
When you print from your Mac Pro, does the printer show up in the Printer list at all (in the Print dialog box)?
If not, have you already tried to Add Printer from the bottom of the Printer list?
If you click Add Printer and it can't see the printer, the next thing to do is probably go to the Toshiba printer web site and see if there is a Mac printer driver to download and install so that it shows up in the Printer list.

No Mail Print Icon (but Safari and Photo work fine)

Strange, so maybe you can help. I have an HP Photosmart C7200 printer and am using Printopia to print via 4.2 and AirPrint. This works fine for both Safari and for Photo, but there is no appropriate print icon in Mail.
All three support printing so I don't see why Mail won't show a print icon (I know, could be a Printopia issue). Anyone have any ideas? I've cold started my iPad, forced Mail to quit and then restart, etc to see if maybe that would clear the issue. At this point I can't print via Mail. Anyone out there have Mail and Printopia working?

Unfortunately the HP Photosmart C7200 will not be getting direct AirPrint support. The two programs mentioned in my [FAQ|http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2658560&tstart=0] thread and elsewhere do allow sharing a printer from a Mac. For Windows, I know of no supported way of enabling AirPrint, although there are some threads here describing how to hack it yourself. If I find a supported way of enabling AirPrint on Windows I will post back.

I already go to hp cs, but they told me, if I upgrade software, they won't fix this problem.

, Thanks for posting back. By using the drivers from Intel directly you may not have functionality. The drivers for the notebooks even if they have the same series and so on are usually proprietary. Use any direct drivers at your own risk. The other option you have is to run the Windows 10 update trouble shooter. Here is the link for that. Windows Update Troubleshooter. Run all updates including the optional update and it should repair most issues. Besides that you would have to use any drivers that are released on the HP support site once they are given to HP. When printing in Adobe, missing the Custom Scale option.

Doesn't matter what type of network printer I select. When selecing to print a document, under Page Sizing & Handling, there is no "Custom Scale" option. There is on other workstations.

Can't open the Firefox after install on window. Error indicated I missing the EXE file

Firefox required me to update the flash player, Norton indicated the flash player I just download may contains virus so I removed it right a way. After the virus scanned, I reboot the computer and I am not able to open the Firefox and other applications on the desktop. I got a message indicated the exe file was corrupted or removed. I really don't want to buy other program to fix this problem.

Xps 18, well I almost bought one but missed the boat, guess i'll go elsewhere.

Over the weekend I noticed bestbuy.com had the XPS 18, i5, 8gb for $899, and was all set to buy. Only problem was the store pickup date was the same as when I was going on vacation... It was still on sale this morning but by this afternoon when I decided to go purchase it they had jacked the price up about $400. I thought Best buy sales ran week to week, didn't expect it to change mid-day on a monday.
Oh well, I guess I'll wait for dell to run their own sale and buy it from them, at least i'll know how long their sale lasts. Just sayin.

Yea, seems that way. I guess i'm used to the weekly cycle for best buy sales and the online store 'usually' matches that cycle.
If a sale has a set length and I decide not to buy, no problem but when sales end whenever while im thinking about it I tend to have a long memory... I'll remember that product and that price, and there is no way I will ever buy from that company for more than that price as I feel like they pulled the rug out from under me mid purchase. Right or wrong its how I tend to treat it, so in this case the way they did the sale makes it highly unlikely i'll be purchasing from best buy for my next machine.
No biggie though, haswell is on its way in and ivybridge is on its way out so there will be more sales in the coming weeks. But best buy will have to equal the deal if they want my business. I'll buy more from someone else but not best buy now just on principle.

So wehn doing that my compuer synced all the photos on my computer (loads) and now I have no space leftr on my iphone. Also - all my muisc seems to have disappeared from my iphone and I cannot re sync it as I have no space left.

HT1551 I've set up our Apple TV and we used it with no issues for a time but after the first month we have never been able to use it. Upon purchasing a movie it says that it is downloading the movie then shuts down.

I have had our media company to see what the problem is a few times but with no success. Anyone able to assist or direct me so that I can once again use my Apple TV?

I would grab a micro usb cable and restore in iTunes. Or you can take it in to a local Apple store/reseller.
