With the newest version of Firefox, I can no longer use the Google toolbar! Also, some of my Webroot protection had to be inactivated. When will these features be able to be used with Firefox again?
With the new version of Firefox, the Google toolbar and something with my Webroot protection had to be inactivated to install. I use many of the features on the Google toolbar daily, and miss not being able to use it. When I try to reinstall, the message is that it is incompatible with Firefox 5.0. And I am not sure which features of my Webroot protection had to be deactivated for Firefox to install and run, but I want to retain my firewall and virus protection. And I MUCH prefer to use Firefox! So - I know you are always developing and improving. When will these become compatible again with Firefox.
The Google Toolbar is from Google and support for it can only come from Google, and Google has eliminated it from Firefox, and it never was in Google. Even Google has indicated that the features are available in Firefox through other extensions. But the features are really available in Firefox even without extensions from what I've seen because Firefox has very powerful bookmarks and knowing how to use them with JavaScript, substitution, and keyword shortcuts is a key to using Firefox.

I've just discovered that with the newest version of iTunes you can no longer delete iPod Touch/iPhone apps you don't want. You used to be able to do so by going onto iTunes on your desktop computer and deleting them. Not Good! I just called tech support and they said that in this version there is no way to delete them. They also said there have been numerous complaints about this. You can't even delete them from your applications folder. It's as though you're being held hostage to apps you tried, but do not want.
While we're on the subject, I don't like the fact the the iPod touch comes with unistalable apps such as: Passbook, Nike & iPod, Newsstand, and Game Center. Don't want them, will never use them. Since I have the newest version of itunes, I can't back up like normally. The only way is to considilate files and then put them on an external drive which I don't have. Are there any other options? If I can't back up to a disc like I used to, can I instead just keep everything on my ipod and then if I have to get a new computer or something just download all my songs from the ipod to my new computer's itunes? Will that work? Will I still be able to keep all my songs that way?
I'm going to assume the consolidating files does not work due to hard drive space limitations.
Since you're moving to Windows 7, have you tried using the Windows files and settings transfer utility? That will move everything for you to the same location on the new computer, it also allows some control over what actually gets moved.
Alternatively, if you know the location of all of the media, it can be manually moved by copying it from the old computer to the new computer in the same location.
Also, using the Apple article on moving the library, take a slight twist on what it says. Move the iTunes library to the external drive, update the settings in iTunes to reflect the library being on the external drive, then consolodate it.
The options are endless for moving the library... it simply takes a little effort to make it happen and possibly a twist on existing "standard" methods depending on your unique situation. -

When using Firefox I can no long get the two finger enlargement to work on my Apple. The same site will enlarge using Safari, so I assume it has to do with Firefox

I've been working on this all day!!! I've tried everything I know of and can't get it to load either. Sounds like lots of people are having problems. Here is what I have so far...I have uninstalled EVERYTHING on my pc from apple and reinstalled itunes to no avail. I have tried all sorts of things I've read as fixes online. NOTHING has worked. Here is something interesting that i have noticed though. my main pc (which is the one i have always managed my itunes account with for years) is a 32 bit system running windows 7. Yesterday I installed itunes for the first time on my new netbook which is a 64 bit (windows 7) system and it works just fine. i have three other laptops (all window 7) in my household that are all 64 bit operating systems and ALL have updated to 10.5 and THEY ALL work fine. this is FOUR 64 bit systems ALL updated w/10.5 that work and ONE that is a 32 bit that will not. Can't get any help from apple. their suppot *****! I want to get someone on the **** phone or a live chat but cant. *** APPLE????? please let mw know if you find SOMETHING i can try next. I'm out of ideas and patience!

After installing the latest version of iTunes, I can no longer export music files converted by EZ Vinyl Conversion software to iTunes, which is the only export option available in the software. I have been converting my vinyl records, tapes and cd's to MP3 files in iTunes for about a year now, and have well over 1000 man-hours invested in this effort. I tried restoring the last version of iTunes, but it will no longer read my library, as, apparently, the new version modified the library file(s) in some way. I want to reenable this export-import function to finish my archival. What is necessary ???
Apparently, security programs like Macafee and Norton view Itunes updates as new programs and block then from access. If you add Itunes to the list of exemptions, it solves the problem.

My computer won't play videos from site like the Daily Show and the CW, but they stopped working last week. I have the newest version of Adobe player. Anyone know why the full videos will not play?
I failed to mention that the sound does play on the videos that are not playing.

After installing the latest itunes/quicktime update I can no longer acces the itunes store nad my iphone does not complete syncing. What can I do to fix this? The problem is with version 10.4.1. I had to reload 10.3 to get it to work. The recommendation from a previous poster worked for me. Here was their list of steps:
Go to Control Panel>Programs>Uninstall
2. Uninstall the following Apple programs in the following order:
a. iTunes
b. QuickTime
c. Apple Software Update
d. Apple Mobile Devices Support
e. Bonjour
f. Apple Appllcation Support
3. Reboot PC
4. Find, Download and Install iTunes 10.3 (you can find it at FileHippo.com)
If you start iTunes now you will get an error message saying that the current iTunes library was created by a newer version of iTunes. To correct this:
5. Go to your Music>iTunes folder and delete the "iTunes Library.itl" database file
6. Within this iTunes folder find and open the "Previous iTunes Libraries" folder and locate the most recently dated "iTunes Library (date).itl" database file.
7. Copy and Paste this file back into the iTunes folder
8. Rename this "iTunes Library (date).itl" file by removing the date. It should say "iTunes Library.itl"
9. Reboot PC -
I have installed the newest version but I still can't download music
I cannot download music because the site tells me that I have to download the newest version of ITunes first. I have done this at least three times. The newest version is definitely on my computer but when I click to download the music it keeps telling me the same thing...I need the most recent version. Ugh!
Try signing out of the store, then close iTunes. Reopen iTunes and sign back in.
Worth a shot - that's what I'd try.
Also you can double-check the iTunes version by going to Help > About iTunes

I downloaded the newest version of itunes and ever since I've been having problems. When I connect my iphone to itunes, it will say its synced up, however when i'm trying to add music its just not allowing it to happen.
Also when I try to restore the Iphone or check for updates, It says connect via USB to check for updates or restore. The same with attemting to sync apps
I've reinstalled itunes several times and removed and reinstalled my portable devices. And still nothing. When I first plug the iphone in, it will to that auto play Windows 7 does and allows pictures to be saved onto the PC.
It seems like the syncing is working with some things and now others. Any idea's would be delightful??I feel its more of my sync drivers for itunes/iphone not working if that makes sense. Its not my itunes that stops responding, its more of that if the phone syncs up it fails to anything further.
I've tried sync another iphone to the same itunes and windows autoplayer will allow the photos sorted on the iphone to be saved to the laptop but itunes won't even recongise the device is plugged in.

You can not merge accounts.
Apps are tied to the Apple ID used to download them, you can not transfer them.
