Wizard creation....

I m creating one wizard using module pool, but stuck how to write the code in the background, just what the table control wizard does in the moudle pool programning.
Any clues will be appreticable.

Hi...
For wizard you don't have to write any code...If you check the layout, you can the table control, tab strip control wizard. This is a GUI. You have to just specify the table name number of fields etc. Code will generated automatically. You can check the code in PAI and PBO

  • Variable wizard creation question?

    Hi experts,
I created a variable using wizard. In my variable their is a option called 'Can be changed during navigation' what it mean? and what is it used for?
    Thanks in advance.
    Sharat.

    Hi Sharat,
The Changeable with Query Navigation function allows you to override the variables entry by selecting the dynamic filter.
When using a dynamically changeable variable, that is, a variable with the activated function Changeable with Query Navigation in a query in connection with a free characteristic, you can override the variable entry with the dynamic filter. In other words, you can also access values that are not found in the value area of the variable entry. The values entered for the variables are only used to parameterize the dynamic filter for the start list.
This function is only available for characteristic value variables in the free characteristics. When using such a variable in the filter, it behaves like a “normal” variable that cannot be changed.
Note the following when using the Changeable with Query Navigation function:
    ·        A variable can only be changed in the query definition when it is only used in a drilldown characteristic and when there are no other restrictions to this characteristic aside from these variables.
    ·        No additional characteristic is allowed to be compounded with a variable to the affected characteristic.
    ·        For hierarchy node variables, the hierarchy must match the presentation hierarchy that has been set up.
    ·        The characteristic value is not allowed to be moved, for example offset –1. In addition, the variable is no longer changeable with the query navigation.
    regards,
    rudra.

  • Wizard vs pcm wizard?

    Hi,
I was reading portal developer guide about wizard creation and just wanted to know the difference between creation of "wizards" and "PCM wizards".. I didnt get the difference between them.
could some one please let me know an example of wizard and PCM wizard in the default portal implementation.
the wizard that we use for creation of iview based on PAR, what type of wizard is it (WIZARD OR PCM WIZARD)?
and the wizard that we use for creating iview based on iview template?  what type of wizard is it? (WIZARD OR PCM WIZARD)
    Thank you

The 2 EPM tools that inquired about are both multi-dimensional tools.  I would suggest looking for detailed information on the SDN network.  In the meantime, my explination of the differences in based mostly on the design of the products.  PCM was initially designed for use in Cost management processes, and is a multidimensional cube with predefined dimensions and the ability to add additional dimensions for building an application.  The PCM tool will take COSTs and allow them to be assigned to activitity holders, which then could be driven to other objects and eventually processes.  The design is applicable to many customer opportunities to address product profitability, channnel profits, and other designs.  It also has models that come predefined. It has the ability to use excel and has robust reporting design capabilities.
BPC is a user defined multidimensional application that is basically a database, stores dimensions, that are arraigned into user defined applications. The dimensions may be shared or independent between applications.  The applications many server many various purposes; most often for budgeting, forecasting, planning or legal consolidations.  The applications are are managed using excel, have Data Manager tools, allow you to define processes for support the application design, and are built for the user community.
This is just a simple view and an opinion, but hopefully this is a good staring point.  Hope this helps.

  • Stay on the same page when applying changes

I have a simple master detail form where we have master form and tabular detail on the second page. The first page has a master form in read only as per standard wizard creation. When I delete and or make changes to the detail the app by default commits and navigates to the master read only page 1. My requirement is to stay on the second page after every update or delete to the detail tabular section . Does anyone have any hints ?

Look at the page branches. There will be one or more which goes to the first page. Change it to go to the current page instead of the first page.

  • Materialized View - does not contain a primary key constraint

I am trying to create materialized view. I gone through the MV wizard creation. Added 2 columns (foo_column, foo_pk) of the table and have a simple select statement (Select foo_column from foo_dim). Also created a primary key contrainst and refencing the primary key (FOO_PK) of the dimension.
I am getting the following error:
ORA-12014: table 'FOO_DIM' does not contain a primary key constraint

It was solved. The table that I am querying has to have a primary key defined before creating a materialized view.

  • Dunning on future due date

    Hi,
We just installed SBO 8.8 and are still in the testing proces.
I want to run a dunning, and in step 4 of the wizard enter a future due date, but I keep getting the error "Future posting date is not allowed (Dunning Wizard - Creation Date) (Message 60014-19)
The date of the dunning run is today and dunning term and level are "all", in step 4 posting date is to today (25 March 2011) and due date is to 2 weeks from now (8 April 2011). I can't clear posting date and just enter due date to.
In document settings "Allow future posting date" is checked.
In posting period setup the periods are unlocked, the posting date is from the first of the month to the last date of the month and due date is from January 1, 2001 to December 31, 2049.
Does anybody know why this doesn't work?

    Hi Josephine,
If you tick the 'Display all open items' tickbox in step 4, it will allow you to leave the Posting Date empty and to select a future Due Date.

    Nat

  • OSB11 64bit windows7 - error starting a domain

    Hi all,
I gathered useful info from other two posts how to install OSB11 on windows7 64 bit (messageID 9395937 and 9461593)
    I've downloaded:
    - jdk-6u24-windows-x64
    - wls1034_generic
    - oepe-helios-all-in-one-11.1.1.6.1.201010012100-win32-x86_64 (I found that version is compatible with OSB11, 11.1.1.7.1 instead doesn't work)
    - ofm_osb_generic_11.1.1.4.0_disk1_1of1
    and I installed OSB11.
I created also an OSB domain using the usual config wizard.
One note while using the usual config wizard: I selected to create the two proposed db schema with derby db but I got an error, how could I do that as while using the wizard the domain is not still created (so there is no running derby db) ?
So I skipped the creation of those two proposed db schema and I completed the domain wizard creation...
But when I run "startWebLogic.cmd" I got the below error:
The input line is too long.
The syntax of the command is incorrect.
Has anyone created and run successfully an OSB domain in Windows 7 64 bit ?
    Thanks in advance
    ferp

    Hi Pierluigi,
    I didn't change the defaults.
The domain path is the following: c:\software\developing\wls1034_64\domains\base
    I enabled ECHO in
    - base/startWebLogic
    - base/bin/startWebLogic
    - base/bin/setOSBDomainEnv
Below the startWebLogic output, but it is very very very long ... (I'm sorry for that)

  • How to ensure that refreshed page is displayed after an update?

I have a page with “Form” region. I’ve used “Table” for “Create a data entry form based on”. The form works as it should, but I have set the same page to go to after “Save” or “Apply Changes” button is pressed. Now whenever I change any field at the page via my form I get back to the same page, but the changes are NOT visible. I need to go to a different page and then back to my page with table form to see new/updated data.
Is there a way of enforcing the refresh/re-query of the data after I click on Apply Changes/Save button?
jarola has suggested the following topic: Branch to URL identify session and record ID
However, when I follow the suggestion and add "Optional URL Redirect" to the same page (76) for "Apply Changes" button, and configure "Set These Items" with "With These Values" then the values entered via the form are NOT saved at all. If I remove "Optional URL Redirect" (I set "Target is a" to "- No Target -") then the data is at least saved when I click on "Apply Changes".
    Thank you for your time.
    Daniel

I am gathering that what you want is for the user to make some changes, save the data, and be left with a refreshed page showing the new values, right?
I order to save the data, the form usually has to perform some kind of submit action. Therefore, do not use a URL redirect. The only time you can use that is if your URL redirect calls javascript which in turn does a submit. But if you just redirect, no submit is done.
Make sure whatever the user does to initiate processing is doing a submit. This usually is by clicking a button whose action is "no target" (this equates to some sort of submit action).
Then, make sure this submit action invokes whatever process it is that does the save to the database. Check the row processng that was created during the wizard creation of the form and make sure that any conditions on it are such that it fires based on your request value or the button in question being pressed.
(Actually this brings up a question...if after the save action, can you see updated data in the database via SQL*Plus or SQL*Developer (or whatever database query tool) but just not in Apex? This will at least tell you if the data is being saved and it's just an application presentation issue or not.)
Then, make sure any proper page branches are firing. Again, look at the conditions and/or button-pressed settings. I think for this sort of thing I would clear the cache for your page via the page branch settings, and then do a "set these items..." and "with these values..." such that you are setting the PK values of the record with the existing PK values of the record you are dealing with. (I guess this assumes this form does the usual automated row fetch during loading if the PK values are not null. Is this the case?)

  • Dunning to Customers through email

    Hi Friends,
I have configureed for dunning it is working fine
and we want to send the dunning letter to the customers through the email
i have provided the email address of the customers in the customer master data
but is there any other setting that should be done so that mail will be sent to customers
    Please help
    Thanks in advance

Hi Srikanth.. the following notes can guid u .. just check step - by - step ....
The follwing note sre also useful for running  the dunning programme
This information may useful to u for dunning...
The dunning wizard enables you to create and send letters to customers that have not paid their debts within a given time range and to remind them of their overdue payments.
In addition, the dunning wizard keeps track of a customer's "payment behavior" in the database to deliver this important information to appropriate organizations.
The dunning wizard considers the following transactions and documents:
1.Open A/R invoices (including partially paid and partially credited)
    2.A/R credit memos
3.Manual journal entries with at least one row posted to a customer
    4.Opening and closing balance transactions
    5.Incoming payments
To access the wizard, choose Sales - A/R Dunning Wizard.
    Prerequisites:
To run the Dunning Wizard, you have defined the dunning levels and the dunning terms as follows:
You have defined the dunning levels by choosing Administration > Setup Business Partners > Dunning Levels.
    2. You have defined dunning terms in Administration > Setup> Business Partners > Dunning Terms. The dunning terms are based on dunning levels, and contain parameters and values required for the dunning process run.
You have defined the default dunning terms in Administration > General Settings > BP tab > Default Cust. Dunning Terms.
You have defined dunning terms for customers. (Choose Business Partners Business Partner Master Data Payment Terms tab Dunning Term field.)
You have used the following options to exclude any relevant A/R invoices from the dunning process:
? To exclude a specific invoice, display it before you run the wizard. On the Logistic stab, select Block Dunning Letters. You can deselect the option later to include the invoice in the future dunning process.
? To exclude all invoices created for a specific customer from the dunning process, display the Business Partner Master Data record for that customer. On the Accounting tab, select Block Dunning Letters.
    Process:
You choose Sales - A/R > Dunning Wizard
and follow the steps listed below. In each step you choose Next to proceed to the next step of the Dunning Wizard, choose Back to return to the previous step, or choose Cancel to cancel the Dunning Wizard creation
Step 1: Wizard Options. You select whether to run a new Dunning Wizard or to load a saved one.
Step 2: General Parameters. In this window, you modify a name of the default Dunning Wizard and choose a dunning level.
Step 3: Business Partners - Selection Criteria. You choose a range of customer codes for the Dunning Wizard.
Step 4: Document Parameters. In this window, you enter the range of the posting dates to include in the Dunning Wizard. In addition, select the relevant document types.
Step 5: Recommendation Report. In this window, you enter a new due date and select invoices that are included in the Dunning Wizard for each customer.
Step 6: Processing. In this window, you select one of the following options to process the Dunning Wizard:
? Save Selection Parameters and Exit
? Save Recommendation Report as Draft and Exit
? Print Dunning Letter and Exit Result:
If you print dunning letters, SAP Business One creates the dunning letters and saves the dunning run. In addition, the dunning level and the last date of the dunning letter are updated for invoices included in the dunning run. When a dunning letter is created for a customer, the business partner master data record is updated. On the Accounting tab, the Dunning Date field displays the date on which the dunning letters were created for the last time.
To view the history of dunning letters and the list of all invoices, choose Business Partners > Business Partners Reports > Dunning History Report.

  • How to use db link to create forms

    Hi,
i'm looking for how to create a form (From on a Table or View) using a dblink.
I got it trying to create a report list, but not in forms.
Following de wizard creation, when I indicate de table, like this tablename@dblinkname, i got the masage saying that there's no such table name in the schema.
Someone knows the easiest way to do this?
    Thanks.

Peter, I created the view and now I could create the page.
But when trying to create a record received this message:
ORA-01653: unable to extend table ICM.T_CDTR_MSTR by 128 in tablespace FLOW_3923800470111176 ORA-02063: preceding line from ICM ORA-06512: at "SYS.WWV_DBMS_SQL", line 549 ORA-06512: at "APEX_040000.WWV_FLOW_DML", line 1121 ORA-22816: unsupported feature with RETURNING clause
Error     Unable to process row of table T_CDTR_MSTR.
Well, it's clearly that the problem involves the process of the page but i don't know why.

  • Who is using comctl32.dll??

I didn't find it on the web, that's why I'm asking here...
Which framework is using the common controls (comctl32.dll)? I know that MFC does use it. But what about WindowsForms or WPF? Do they somehow rely comctl32? And what about Qt? ... do you think a controls-library should use comctl32 or do you think,
it's ok, if it does all completely without the help of any other module?
... I'm just curious what you think.

thank you for the information... that's helpful for my decision
What decision? I thought you had already decided not to use .NET.
David Wilkinson | Visual C++ MVP
Yes, right... but we decided now, that we will build our own common control dll (like the ComCtl32.dll) ... in fact, the project is half done now and it works pretty good... bether than trying to use the ComCtl32.dll, because we can now build the controls
with all the things we really need and Microsoft never released (e.g. things they only use in Word and Excel) ... plus, we can build/use now our cool editor for dialogs... that speeds up the process of dialog and wizard creation massively... we're not
sure, but maybe we will release this as product in the future... but we try now not to rely on this Microsoft crap (as much as possible), because in case of a problem, you can't do anything... and they do not even fix bugs in case there are... so, it's the
    best choice for us

  • Ultiboard part wizard doesn't show any copper layers during part creation

Ultiboard part wizard doesn't show any copper layers during part creation. I have to check the box to activate Copper Top in the part editor, once the part is made in order to see what I've made. I suspect there is a connection between this issue and my prior issue with the inability of the Multisim database to link to parts that I have recently made in Ultiboard. This all just began happening this week (of 8-27-12) Design Suite version is 10.1 & OS is Windows 7.
    Thanks.

    Hi Todc,
This is very strange. My suggestion is that you can try to delete the configuration file. To delete the configuration file, go to Options >> Global Preferences. Under the Paths tab, select the path to the configuration file all the way upto config\ as shown in screen shot. Close Ultiboard and navigate to this folder. Delete all the files and then try to open Ultiboard again. This should resolve the issue.
Please let me know what happens.

    Hi,
    for future search:
this happens if the related application is not running. On 700 you can check it in the deploy service of the Visual admin.
Perhaps the deployment was succesful but due to various reasons the application could not be started (or died in the meantime). This case it won't show up in the list of /wsnavigator.

    Ervin
