WL Administration Console performance not affected by other deployed apps

Hello,
I have deployed a EAR on WL 12c server consisting of 2 web apps. One of the web apps was purposedly coded to be a cpu resource killer (internal loop in servlet code), the other wep app is a very simple basic servlet.
After invoking the "killer" web app the other "normal" web app becomes very slow, just as expected.
What surprises me is that WL Administration Console performance is not affected by the "killer" web app. Every other application on the server is dead slow but Console is fine.
Why is that?

Are you sure that you had deployed those two apps in Admin server only or else it was deployed on Managed server.
Make sure that you deploy both of app on Admin Server only.

Weblogic Server Administration Console does not open

hi,
I am using EM Grid Control and Weblogic Server is added in the Middleware Targets...when I click on "Weblogic Server Administration Console" to open the Admin Server console it directs me to old IP address in the browser and console does not open...it goes on old IP address...
it gets open when I put the Ip address myself in the browser like:
https://10.254.166.141:7102/conole
it gets open there...means that server is okay and working properly...
I have seen the logs and it is giving the following message:
<<anonymous>><BEA-220103> <Async web service support is not fully configured. The async response web
service /AsyncResponseServiceSoap12 for this server was not fully deployed because the JMS reliability queue was not
defined/deployed:
any help will be appreciated...

Hi,
Can you check the EM configuration whenther it has updated the changes made by you i.e. the ip address.
Can you try rebooting the EM application,as this seems to be that the EM has not the changes reflected to it's configuration.

Lightroom window behavior Not like all other Mac apps

Please Fix This:
When I click on the red button while in Lightroom (at the top of the window on the left, ref: the three buttons: red, yellow and green) it quits Lightroom.
This button usually (always) just closes the open window and does not shut down the app in all CS apps and all other apps I've ever known of on the Mac. This needs to be fixed to make Lightroom conform in behavior to other Macintosh applications.

Seriously, you need to think of Lightroom as a different sort of application.
It's not an image manipulation app like Photoshop and it;s not s simple lite–duty app like iCal. If you reduce your expectations on what you "think" Lightroom "should be doing, you'll end up being less frustrated....
Lightroom's main function is keeping track where the fu%&# are your images...
When the Michael & Seth show becomes available later this summer, you'll see just how important "where the fuc&$%# are my images" can become...

TEXT_IO.FOPEN not working on web deployed app FORMS 6i

I have coded parsing file by using TEXT_IO.GET_LINE but it seems that my file even can't be opened.

On local machine when i enter into :CSV.CSV_PATH "C:\details.txt" the file gets loaded because it gets processing, I can see messages.
When I upload form onto remote web-deployed app server, I enter into path "D:\details.txt" (I cannot write on C:, the files are the same) nothing happens. Does it mean text_io won't work on Fomrs6i web-deployed? How can I investigate this issue.

With Forms Server deployments. TEXT_IO writes the file on the Forms server not the local PC as it did in client-server mode.
Here are some workarounds
1) Download the WEBUTIL add-on from Oracle and use its TEXT_IO package to write to the local file.
WebUtil is an essential add-on loaded with goodies such as a file browse dialog for local files. Its easy to use and is designed to be compatible with other oracle routines like TEXT_IO.
Kudos to Duncan Mills at Oracle for this top add-on - dont leave home without it.

3) I remember seeing some some old Java scripts on OTN to write to local PC.

How do you share one iTunes with two phones but not get each other's apps when you sync?

My husband doesn't want to have the kid's apps or my apps download on his iphone when he syns to our one iTunes library....suggestions?

Each device will ONLY sync what you select.
Just do not select the apps that you do not want. Only select the apps that you do want.

Something is hijacking my cursor and returns it to the start point. Other browsers on my PC not affected.

For some time, now, at certain times the cursor returns to the start position after any character is inputted. Also, any drop down menus will not allow you to select items below the top one. This does not affect any other browser on my laptop or any other software.

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
Then perform these steps:
*Click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
*In the Firefox options window click the ''Advanced'' tab, then select "General".
*In the settings list, you should find the ''Use hardware acceleration when available'' checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
*Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:

Web based administration console

Hi,
I know that a lot of folks have had problems running the admin server on linux, and thus can't run the administration console. As well, the administration console is not a good solution when the LDAP server(s) are on the other side of a firewall.
Is anybody here interested in having a web based administration console that allows you to do 95% of what you can do with the regular console? As well, it could offer some additional features.
I could develop and maintain such a system for Sun and the upcoming RH DS, if there is sufficient interest.

Run two counters simultaneously with out affecting each other

I am new to labview. I am trying to figure out how the two counters/ timers( one is nongateable standard timer and another is standard timer which is software based) run simultaneously. I created it in different while loops. Is it possible to create two counters in single loop with out affecting each other?

Welcome to the forums! As a new LabVIEW user there are many helpful resources out there to get you started. I would like to point you to the two links in my signature. The first is a six hour LabVIEW course and the second helps you learn DAQmx. Also take advantage of the shipping examples. When you open LabVIEW select Find Examples to open the Example Finder. Assuming you are using DAQmx, you can go to Hardware Input and Output>>DAQmx>>Counter Measurements and find many useful example programs that either do what you want or can be modified to perform the task you desire.
To answer you question, two counters in the same loop do not affect each other. The counters will gather data separately. By putting them in the same loop, you just perform the reads in software at the same time.

Dynamic workbook allowing drilldown not affecting format?

Dear Experts
I created 2 queries because of technical constraint. 1 query is set with a certain setting that affects another display requirement. So, 2nd query is created.
Can 1 workbook use 2 queries but allow drilldown such that the formatting will not be affected adversely in the workbook?
That is, if a workbook is drilled-down, eg. show more information in the rows , by displaying additional characteristic columns, if there is formatting/Excel formula in certain cells, how can this formatting/cell formula be preserved?
For example, workbook achieves the display requirement by referrencing the cells from the 2 queries. But the user needs to drill down in the workbook. How will the referencing be affected or preserved?
Please let me know if this is possible.

If the place of a cell changes by some more drill down or other things, then unfortunately excel formulas based on the cell may display wrong values.So workbook with such excel formulas is dangerous.However, you can create another sheet and add the same query to that sheet with different named(but the same) dataprovider.And do this for navigation pane,too.Then you will have two queries in different sheets and not affecting each other.And then allow the user to drill down on second sheet and not to change the first sheet.(So the formula in the first sheet will still show correct values)This is not a good solution but may satisfy your need.

Source queues are not moving as other subscribers has DB connectivity issue

We have a replication setup where there are multiple (4) subscribers for a single queue. When I check the user_queue_schedules table, the job_process is not getting assigned to 3 of the subscriber processes and only one its assigned. But the propagation is not moving for the one for which the job process is assigned.
The question is --> Will the source queue messages are processed only when all the subscribers for the queue are enabled for propagation and the respective jobs are running?

Different subscriber schedules do not affect each other, what is your job_queue_processes parameter set to ?
What is the output from:

Weblogic Server not visible in Administration Console

Hello,
Forgive me if this is the incorrect location for this question but I could not find a relevant group to post this issue relating to the Administration Console, as it APPEARS.
We have a three node Weblogic 8.1 SP3 cluster in our environment and the issue we are facing is that one of the three Weblogic Servers (the other two have no issue) is not displaying any information about that server in the admin console (i.e. in "Monitoring"-> active thread queues, connections, performance stats etc. are not displayed). However, the BeaSVC service is running on that server and the server IS serving requests, as confirmed by the weblogic and application logs. It is as if the admin server cannot communicate or thinks the server is in a 'down' state, hence the behavior of not seeing the threads on the server.
Any suggestions, thoughts or ideas in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated!

Windows Backup - The backup application coud not start due to an internal error: You must be logged on as an administrator to perform this task. (0x8100000010).

Windows 7 users in my domain are unable to configure or change backup settings. Users are able to open Control Panel > Backup and Restore, but when they click
Change settings, they receive the error: Windows Backup - The backup application coud not start due to an internal error: You must be logged on as an administrator to perform this task. (0x8100000010).
The same error is received when executing sdclt.exe /configure at the command prompt, regardless of whether the command prompt is launched using "run as administrator".
I've done significant testing, and have been able to determine that the local administrator account is able to configure backups before the computer is joined to the domain. Once the computer is joined to the domain, the local administrator account
and domain users who are in the local administrators group are no longer able to configure backup and restore. Domain administrators are able to configure backups.
This is a new issue, which began occuring sometime in the last 2 months. 3 months ago, users were able to configure backups without issue, and those computers with backups configured are still able to run their backups and do restores; however the
settings can no longer be changed.
Clearly something in the domain is doing this, but Group Policy has not been altered, and I can find no setting that would be doing this in any case. Any help is appreciated.

So you mean you have tried different accounts in the local Administrator group and all of them failed?
If so, please check what group the local Administrator group belongs to? Does it belong to a group with limited privileges, such as the Guests group?

Not able to access the Administrator Console 7001

Dear all,
We have installed weblogic server 11.1.2 in Aix 6.1.
Installation faced lot of FIXER problems finally we fixed all the required fixers and installation and configuration compleated without any error.
In the last page of Configuration summary we got the Admin consloe and Em console address.
When i try to connect those from my system using IE it says "internet explorer cannot Display the webpage" error comes.
While on Installation we used Humming bird for graphical installation[this is the first time am using this utlity]. And more over i do not have idea how to check about the admin server start and stop from the back end[AIX].
Kindly help me how to access the Administrator Console after Installation

Please check any weblogic process are running by using.
ps -ef | grep java
use " *kill -9 < pid >* "
Now under %Domain_Home%/ bin folder.
you will find startWebLogic.sh file.
start this one using following way.
./startWebLogic.sh
Once you provide your username and password
Check your last logging like this.
*<Notice> <Server> <BEA-002613> <Channel "Default" is now listening on 10.17.62.212:7001 for protocols iiop, t3, ldap, s*
in this case 10.17.62.212 is my IP address or listen address and 7001 is my http port.
if you enable SSL list port it will also show you that one.
now try to access console using http://<IP address>:port/console
provide username and password
Here we go to start your weblogic server.
Now in %Domain_Home%/ bin folder you will find one more .sh file says stopWebLogic.sh.
this will help you to stop the server.
Hope this is easy way to start and stop your server.

Can you check if your Admin server is running? On windows you can check using Services Panel and on Linux you can check using "ps" commands

Administrator console not opening

I have just installed OBIEE in windows xp. My OC4J and other apps are running. But when i open the Administrator console (Admin tool) , it does not open. It acts as if i didnt click it.
Can some one point to what i should do to solve htis issue ?

Well, the UI would still be up if your OC4J is up however you will not be able to login as the Authentication passes through BI Server and your BI Server needs to be up for this, netiher would you be able to open online mode RPD without BI Server running. Why not you go to 'RUN' and issue this command "admintool" and check if you are able to access.
