WLS using old package names

I got a copy of WLS 5.1 from JavaOne last week. It runs fine serving up
http and jsp requests. I cannot connect to the server from a Java client.
I have tried t3 and JNDI. In both cases I get connect because some Weblogic
class is trying to call com.sun.java.util.collections.ArrayList.
Am I missing a JDK 1.2 update for WLS 5.1 or what?
Any assistance would be appreciated?

com.sun.java.util.collections.ArrayList is in weblogicaux.jar. What's the
error you got???

  • How to call a stored procedure using its package name in Oracle

    hi
    we're doing a JDBC scenario where we call a stored procedure(a.prc) using its package name(b)The stored procedure has In /Out/IN-OUT parameter.
    i have got 2 queries:
    1- How to call the stored procedure using it's package.
    2- How to capture the In/Out parameter in the response.

    hi Prateek
    thanks for the reply.
    However when i tried mapping it to Package.procedure, communication channel throws the error saying that Package.proceudre needs to be declared.
    As i said , the procedure has IN-OUT parameter too.In oracle we need to write a block if we want to read the IN-OUT parameter.
    How to get the IN-OUT parameter in XI?

  • IPhone remote insists on using old library names

    I just got a new computer and tried connecting my iPhone using the "remote" app. I saw the library still had the default name, "Mike's Music Library" (or something like that), so after I got the remote working, I went and changed the iTunes library name in iTunes preferences.
    Now every other computer sees my shared library with the right name, but my iPhone still insists on calling it by it's old -- not too descriptive name. (I've even tried deleting the library from the remote app and re-pairing it, but it comes back with the old name.) Any way to fix this?
    Thanks!

    Mike G.,
    Have you already tried powering the iPhone off and on? If that didn't work, I would try removing the app once more, resetting all settings on the iPhone, then re-adding the app again.
    To reset all settings, navigate to Settings > General > Reset.
    Hope this helps,

  • Using old account name after it has been deleted

    I deleted an account because I learned that the only way you could re-name the short name was by deleting the account altogether.
    I had problems deleting the account from the admin account, even afer shutting off "fast users" and "auto login". THerefore, based on some other posts in discussion group, I used applications/netinfo manager/users then deleted the account name.
    I re-started and sure enough the account I was trying to delete, was gone.
    Now, I'm trying to go back and create the account again using the same account name, it own't accept it. I keep getting a message saying "Name is not available".
    I'd like to create an account with the same name. Any suggestions??

    In the NetInfo Manager, look for other instances of that name and delete them from the list of groups as well as from the membership of the remaining groups. Users and groups with a numeric ID below 501 should not be deleted. A tool called ChangeShortName can be used to change the short name of an existing account.

  • How to change the package name of View or Window

    Hi all,
    i have created the Webdynpro Application.i have some Views and Windows in the WebDynpro Peoject.i want to change the package Names of Views.is it possible???
    thanks in advance
    regards
    Naidu

    Hi Naidu
        Though you rename the package name, the view in that package refers to the old package and hence that view can be used in other views by including the old package name only. Renaming doesn't have significance that you expect. You can create a new package and views in it and copy the implementation of views from the old package to the views in the new package.

  • How to find proc/func name from package name and line number?

    Hi,
    We are using the pl/sql call stack dump (dbms_utility.format_call_stack) for some debugging purposes. But in the case of a package body execution, the dump does not return the name of the procedure/function that is being executed, but only the name of the package and the line number being executed. So, we have a requirement wherein we need to extract the type and name of a package subunit from the package name and line number.
    e.g.
    From the information package 'A', line number 739
    we should be able to deduce that line 739 is a part of *'function A.f'*
    Does the oracle database provide any native mechanism (PL/SQL packages or otherwise) to support such functionality? If it does not, how can we achieve the desired result?
    Thanks in advance,
    Shashank

    The approach we are currently planning to take up is this :
    1. Write PL/SQL code to parse the entire source (user_source) and build a database table with a structure like this :
    PACKAGE_NAME | UNIT_TYPE | UNIT_NAME | START_LINE | END_LINE
    =============================================
    A | PROCEDURE | P1 | 20 | 345
    A | FUNCTION | F1 | 347 | 629
    etc..
    2. Start PL/SQL package execution.
    3. Keep dumping call stack snapshots whenever a custom debug procedure is called.
    4. Dump the package name and line number to a log file.
    5. Using the package name and line number, query the table built in step 1 and build the final report which shows the control flow in a readable form.
    What we want is to get rid of step 5 and by some means get the logic to extract the unit type and name in step 4 itself.
    Keep them coming..
    Thanks and regards,
    Shashank

  • Import vs full package name

    So, I decided to fumble a bit with JavaFX. After having gotten myself a sh*tload of stress doing stuff in Flash and Actionscript, I'm ready for something that is intended as "code" from the ground up. One thing I ran into is this: AFAIK I have two identical custom nodes, the only difference is that one uses full package names and the other uses imports. The components just show an image.
    Full package version:
    public class SfeerNode extends javafx.scene.CustomNode
        public var sfeerimage : javafx.scene.image.Image;
        override function create() : javafx.scene.Node
            return javafx.scene.Group
                content:
                [     javafx.scene.image.ImageView
                          image: sfeerimage
    }And the import version:
    import javafx.scene.*;
    import javafx.scene.image.*;
    import javafx.scene.paint.*;
    import javafx.scene.shape.*;
    public class SfeerNode2 extends CustomNode
        public var sfeerimage : Image;
        override function create() : Node
            return Group
                content:
                [     ImageView
                          image: sfeerimage
    }Usage is very straight forward, just like ImageView, and I can toggle between the two by simply adding or removing "2" after "SfeerNode" in the main code.
    The problem: the full package version does NOT show the image, the import version does.
    Why?

    It is definitely a bug.
    It is possible to extend only CustomNode class to make the first sample work .
    import javafx.scene.CustomNode;
    public class A extends CustomNode {
        public var sfeerimage : javafx.scene.image.Image;
        override function create(): javafx.scene.Node{
            return javafx.scene.Group {
                content:[ javafx.scene.image.ImageView {
                          image: sfeerimage
    }

  • Installed Extensions and System Package Names

    I've read through reams of documentation about installed extensions and have experimented with putting jars into %JRE%/lib/ext, etc. My question is - is it possible to put jars that contain classes with system package (java.*) names and use them?
    This might sound like a strange thing to want to do, but I've been experimenting with the Long Term Persistence mechanism (http://java.sun.com/products/jfc/tsc/articles/persistence2/) which comes as a jar with classes of the package 'java.beans'. To use this from the command line I have been using the -Xbootclasspath option to include the jar. However, I want to deploy my app through Java Web Start and cannot (as far as I know) use that as a JVM option.
    My last hope is that I can install these jars as extensions on the client and see if I can pick up the classes there. Is this a security violation though - using system package names for extensions?
    Cheers

    P.S. I could use JDK1.4 which has the persistence mechanism as standard but the app server I'm using has 'mucho grande' problems with clients using 1.4!

    I think i may have a similar problem too. I would like to extend the new java logging classes and make a new handler. To do this, the handler needs to invoke methods in the package java.util.logging that are not public ( LogManager.getStringProperty() ). So it needs to be a part of this package and I am not sure if this is allowed. Is there a way to get around this?

  • Problem: When receiving a Skype message old Skype Name is used on notifications

    On my iOS phone, when I recieve a message, the notificationt that pops up uses an old display name. I don't think it's the Skype Name that shows, as it was a email address, not a name used originally. Any solutions?

    Hi all,
    Thanks for your answers.
    So, after reading your post, i'v checked the "Use Mail Package" with encoding "none" and i am now using an XSD.
    When i use IMail.AssumeXMLContent = true  in the Advanced Mode, it brings me only one field in my content:
    e.g.
    <content>
    <language>en</language>
    </content>
    It's weird that it brings me back only one field...it takes the first one only, don't know why ???!!!
    The other solution is without the advanced mode and this time, i have all my field in my content but the symbol "<" or" >" is interpreted by &#60 and &#62 (text/hexa)
    I'm going to try to apply xsl or java on it...

  • How to use variable in :old. variable instead of :old.column name.

    My requirement is to update the audit_update table with the old value and new value when an update statement gets executed. If i use :old.columnname the purpose is getting resolved.
    My requirement is to loop through the columns taken dynamically and update the audit_update_details table. The updation is taking place in a function that called.
    The first cursor holds the column name of a given table.
    I have to use a statement like :old.variablename . where the variable holds the column name .
    Is their an alternative?
    CREATE OR REPLACE TRIGGER INSERT_EMP1

    THe below is an example that uses the column name .Instead of column name i need to use the variable. So that the trigger functions for any given table.

    v_result := insert_fn('emp',:old.eno, 'salary' , :old.salary, :new.salary, v_seq );
    END IF;
    END IF;
    END INSERT_EMP1;

    As Solomon said, it's not possible, but you could write a procedure that would generate the code to do it for each individual column. You could then execute the code generator procedure any time the tables DDL changed in order to update the triggers code.

  • How do I download the music from iTunes onto an old iPhone 3gs? I have reset the iPhone to factory settings and when I plug it in it wants to use the device name for my current iPhone 5 and I don't want to change anything on my old iPhone.

    How do I download the music from iTunes onto an old iPhone 3gs without affecting my iPhone 5? I have reset the iPhone to factory settings and when I plug it in it wants to use the device name for my current iPhone 5 and I don't want to change anything on my current iPhone. iTunes won't let me change the device name for the 3gs. I just want to use the old iPhone like an touch.

    Hi littlemansa,
    If I am understanding you correctly, it sounds like you are returning to an old iPhone that has been erased and you would like to set it up as a new device without restoring from a backup which would affect the name of your iPhone, as well as the contents therein. I have an article for you that can help you set up your iPhone as a new device, and that information can be found below:
    How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups - Apple Support
    http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT4137
    Basically, it seems like you may be stuck on a screen that is asking if you would like to restore your device from the backup that is filed under the name of your new iPhone, or if you would like to set up the device as a new device. I would suggest that you set it up as a new device to achieve your desired results.
    Take care, and thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities.

  • Dynamic attachment name with receiver mail adapter and use mail package

    We need to send mapped XML payload as attachment (with dynamic name) to a recepient (recepient email id is part of input xml payload, but not part of the mapped XML payload).
    I could probably do this using the adapter module (as per the following link),
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/XI/Adapter%20Module%20PI%207.0%20Set%20Attachment%20Name?bc=true
    I would like to explore if this would be feasible using Mail package and XI payload.I already have a Java mapping that is converting the input XML to required Output format. If I am using Mail package (XI Payload), how do I go about sending this Output XML from java mapping as attachment to email id available in the input payload?

    Hi,
    1) XML payload as attachment (with dynamic name)
    2) recipient (recipient email id is part of input xml payload, but not part of the mapped XML payload)
    These two is possible by using Mail Package. You have a standard xsd for mail package which you can download from the SAP Note 748024.
    The xml created in you java mapping which will be your attachment should be put into the <content> tag of the mail package xml structure. and the file name can be set in the <Content_Type> tag.
    <?xml version="1.0"; encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <p2:Mail xmlns:p2="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Mail/30">
    <Subject>My Invoice</Subject>
    <From>from email address<;/From>
    <To>to email address</To>
    <Content_Type>text/plain;name="MyFile.csv";</Content_Type>  --> file name here
    <Content>123;A49;aaa</Content>   -> attachment xml here
    </p2:Mail>
    And you have to select MailPackage in the receiver mail adapter.

  • How to get the package name of a procedure used in a process flow activity

    Hi all. I'm on OWB 11.2.0.2.0.
    When I used a packaged procedure or function in a mapping operator, I can find out the package.program_unit name by getting the operator's FUNCTION_NAME property. For example,
    OMBRETRIEVE MAPPING '$mapName' OPERATOR '$operName' GET PROPERTIES (FUNCTION_NAME)
    But when the same is used in a process flow activity, I can't find a property name that will give me the same information. I can get the BOUND_NAME, it does not tell me the package name. It must be stored in the activity properties because when you pull up the Synchronize dialog for the activity, it knows the package name.
    Is there a way to get this via an OMBRETRIEVE?
    Thanks.

    ANA, this is exactly what I needed. Thank you so much. I saw REFs also in the OMBRETRIEVE MAPPING/OPERATOR syntax, but went cross-eyed trying to figure out if I could use the same there. The closest I found was GET BOUND_OBJECT.
    Thanks again!
