Word 2003 Toolbar on Adobe Acrobat 8?

The Word 2003 Toolbar has been on my Adobe Acrobat 8 program since the beginning.  I made some changes yesterday and the Word Toolbar(font size, color, Bold, Underline, etc.) is no longer on Acrobat.  How can I get it back up there?  Help?

In a form text field you can activate this toolbar:
In a comment text box you can activate this toolbar:
But there is no Word 2003 toolbar.

  • Does Word 2010 work with Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Standard?

I've been using Windows XP and MS Office 2003. It's essential for me to use MS Word for my work. I also sometimes need to create PDFs from my Word documents. I bought Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Standard earlier this year.
I now find (to keep up to date and on good terms with my clients) that I need to upgrade to a newer version of Word. If I keep Windows XP but upgrade to MS Office/Word 2010, will my Ad Ac 6.0 work okay? I've been told there are some conflicts between some versions of Ad Ac and MS and I'm confused about it.
    Thank you.

MS Office 2010 has already been out for several months, so I will presume that Adobe has that version to test while programming Acrobat X
If you need the functions, buy X when it is available
If you do have problems, you will be able to come back here and ask questions

  • Multiple shortcut toolbars in Adobe Acrobat x std

I'm looking for a way to have multiple shortcut toolbar lines in Adobe Acrobat X std.  I don't like the drop down tool bar that is present.  I use multiple addins in my toolbar and I want to see them all up in the toolbar for easy use.  Is there a way to add multiple lines of toolbars instead of having the drop down overflow box?

You'll want to ask in the forum for Acrobat. This one is for the free Reader which cannot do any of this.
But to get you started, you can use Document>Extract pages to create a new file of the modified pages...

  • Acroexch error in Word 2010 x64 with Adobe Acrobat Standard 9.5

Hello, i get this error when im trying to insert a PDF into a word doument.
In Adobe Reader X it was the Protect Mode but in Acrobat Standard in don't have this Option.
    Any ideas please?
    Thanks!

    Dear David,
    thanks for the Answers.
The Problem has our General Manager.
I will try to explain the Problem a little bit better.
Our General Manager had a Windwos 7 32bit with Word 32bit and Adobe Acrobat Standard 9.5. When he inserted a PDF with Drag & Drop in Word all works fine.
Since he have a Windws7 64bit with Word 64bit and Adobe Acrobat Standard 9.5 he get a Acroexch error. I tried it on my Workstation and had the same error. Yesterday i tried it again on a Windws7 32bit with Word 32bit with Adobe Acrobat Standard 9.5 and it worked.
If i try to insert the PDF as a Object it works on both Systems. I saw now that Adobe Acrobat is a 32bit Version. Is there a 64bit version for Adobe Acrobat 9.5?
    Best regards

  • Microsoft Word Form Fields and Adobe Acrobat X

Using a Microsoft Word document where form fields are protected - if you save in Adobe Acrobat X -  - you only see your changes - all the old data is lost.
Acrobat does not seem to have a solution.

You have the option to print the Word form and data to a PDF.
You have the option to use OOO.org, that export to PDF forms.
If you are talking about updating the content of the form and not the fields, create a new PDF under a different name and then replace the PDF page in the PDF.

  • Converting Word 2003 doc to Adobe pdf loses some text

Please help!  I have printed up two sets of reports for a total of 123 pdfs.  I have just now discovered that
two lines of text at the top of a page were not printed when converting the Word 2003 doc to the Adobe 9 pro pdf using batch sequences.  Examining the fonts in the Word doc before printing showns them to be no different than text printed before or after.  If not converting the entire doc, just printing the one problem page using file/print, it prints the missing text.
I'm using the same conversion settings, have unchecked 'rely on system fonts only.'
I'm attaching a page where the two lines are missing ('badpage'), and the page where the two are printed ('page3').
Can anyone shed some light on this?  I will have to try to fix this by using another batch sequence to delete the faulty page and insert the correct page, but I would like to know how to fix the problem for the next time.
    Thank you.

It appears that you printed to the Adobe PDF printer from WORD.
You might find the problem resolved if you updated from AA9.0.0, though you may have and that is just the Distiller version. The early versions typically have problems. If you update, be sure to install the updates in order and do not try to skip over updates unless an update specifically says cummulative.
Apparently the two processes you use are different (as asked by the other post) and that is likely the issue. However, the one with the missing lines has all fonts embedded. The other one does not, and also uses additional fonts. It appears that one process may be using PDF Maker, though normally that would be indicated in the metadata and is not indicated as such. So, giving us more information about the process that you selected for creating the PDF in both cases may give us the info we need to help.

I did my resume' in a Misrosoft 2003 Word template and there I cannot save it in Adobe Reader 8.0. Please help!  : ) Thank you

Well, you'll need something other than Adobe Reader to make a PDF. CHeck online for some free tools if you don't want to plop down some cash.

  • Manual signature not restored while saving as word or excel in Adobe acrobat!

    HI there,
I need help with the below.
We have a letter headed paper with some notes and a manual signature below. Now we scan this to pdf. And this pdf will be saved as word to make changes if necessary.
But the problem is that when we use the save as feature to word in acrobat, it is not restoring the signature.
The reason for buying Acrobat for  atleast 8 people is to be able to acheive this but it seems like the licenses are wasted unless there is a work around to this problem.
Does anyone else have a similiar problem?
Would be grateful to hear your experiences and any solution to this.
    Thanks
    AR

I just tested a scanned letter with my signature and it exported to Word as an image graphic. In the Save As dialog (when saving as a Word file), there is a Settings... button. When you click this do you have "Include Images" checked?

  • Adobe Acrobat 8.....I can't get any of the text formatting items into my Toolbar....such as below.

I can't get any of the above in my Toolbar.  I have everything else.   It was there earlier, then I somehow customized something and they are now gone.  Any way to restore those?  Thank you.

Up until yesterday, my Word 2003 Toolbar(formatting text, font size, color, etc.) was part of my Adobe Acrobat 8 Toolbar.  I made a change...somewhere and it disappeared.  How can I get it back?  Thank you.  It is the Word Toolbar that is used in this Forum.

  • HELP! Conversion to Adobe PDF - Causing Word 2003 to Freeze Up!!

I searched the forum and couldn't find anything addressing this. I'm trying to create 508 compliant PDFs out of Word 2003 (Windows XP), using Acrobat 8.0 Professional. So far, no success.
I open the Word document. The Adobe PDF and Acrobat Comments menus are displayed on the menu bar. I select "Standard" settings, then "Convert to Adobe PDF."
Word gets about 10% into the conversion, opens a "Now printing Page 1..." popup, and that's it - the application freezes completely and I have to restart the program.
Is there some setting that's conflicting with this command? What can I do to make this work?? It's driving me COMPLETELY crazy.

You likely do not have AcroTray running in the background and so the print process fails.

  • Word and Adobe Acrobat clash

A recent Word Update renders my Adobe Acrobat useless for
file conversion. I get a "Missing PDFMaker Files" message. I
searched the Adobe site for a fix and followed the instructions to
go into Word/Help/About Word/Disabled Items. I enabled Adobe,
restarted word and then try to convert files. Same problem. I also
lowered the security in my word program to medium.
    Thanks for any help.

Thank You for this Post , However seems that your concern is
about Adobe Acrobat . We suggest you to contact Adobe Technical

  • Missing text in list items when coverting an MS Word 2003 Document

When converting a document from MS Word (2003) to PDF, (using Acrobat 9 Pro.) text is missing from either an ordered or unordered list when the text is within a list item and spans across to a second page.
This symptom is present when using the following methods of creating a PDF.
    ·         In windows explorer, right click and convert to PDF
    ·         Using the Convert to PDF button in the MS Word 2003 tool bar
    ·         Using the Convert to PDF in the File Menu of MS Word 2003
The only workaround seems to be:
    ·         Click File
    ·         Click Print
    ·         Select PDF from the list
    ·         Print
I can't seem to find any updates or fixes either from MS or Adobe that addresses this issue. This issue is present on 5 computers, has anyone had this problem and found a solution o_0

With WORD 2003, set the printer to the Adobe PDF printer and then go back through the document to check for the layout and such. Then print (or use PDF Maker). The other option is to go into the WORD Options, way down in a list of compatibility settings, and turn off use printer metrics. I think either of these will solve your problem.

  • Import bookmarks from word 2003 into PDF

    Hello guys,
my english is not the best but i will try my best :-)
    My enviroment:
    Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 with XenApp 6, Office 2003 SP3 and Adobe Acrobat 9.
    My problem:
I installed Adobe Acrobat 9 without Adobe Tabs / PlugIns for Office.
One user write a document in Word 2003 with many bookmarks. He try to convert the document into a PDF. But after converting the bookmarks are not included in the PDF.
He try to convert the document over the PDF printer and in Acrobat over create -> pfd from file. Both ways are not working.
So now my question: Is there any way to convert a doc into a PDF without using the Adobe Tabs / PlugIn for Office?
    Thanks a lot.

    - Open Word 2003, you should see a "Adobe PDF" or "Acrobat" menu item.
    - Select the option to change preferences
    - Select the Bookmarks tab
    - Select the option to convert Word Bookmarks

  • Missing bookmarks when printing to PDF (from Word 2003)

When I want to convert my word-document I first used the "convert to Adobe PDF button" that is shown in the top bar in Word. However each time i used this, it was creating failures making Word shut down. So I decided to try and use the Print to option and the instead of a printer select the Adobe PDF driver. This is working great for except for the fact that it does not
add bookmarks to the PDF-file were (if it works) the Convert to PDF methode did. This is also set in the Adobe Acrobat preferences under Convert To PDF, only it does not work when using printing to the Adobe PDF driver. Anyone know how to solve this?
I'm using Word 2003 SP3 and Adobe Scrobat Professional 8.1.2.

THanks for the quick answer, I disabled the accessibility but unfortunantly it didn't resolve the problem. I get this error:
    AppName: winword.exe AppVer: 11.0.8202.0 AppStamp:47420667
    ModName: winword.exe ModVer: 11.0.8202.0 ModStamp:47420667

  • Issues with Adobe Acrobat, leopard, Office for the Mac 2008

since I upgraded to leopard, it's been a nightmare. Office 2008 for Mac won't print Word or Excel documents, Adobe Acrobat 8 won't convert docx. files to PDFs and now has corrupted some existing PDFs. Anyone have similar problems and any answers out there yet?
Yearning for the simplicity of Windows.

No. All that works fine for me. Running 10.5.2 and Adobe Acrobat and Office 2008 all work perfectly well.
Your problem likely stems from upgrading over an already corrupted system. My suggestion is to reinstall from scratch (Erase and Install.)
