Wording in Google doesn't work

As most of you already know I tried to design a website using Mrsite. When you enter my domain name up comes the description I put in Mrsite and not iweb. I did transfer my domain from them and I can still make changes in Mrsite especially in the area where I have written site under construction. Does anybody know how I can override the info set on google or is it not possible.

I looked at your site - first let me say that it is a very well done site with great visual appeal.
I did a whois search and indeed, the registrar is GoDaddy and the nameservers are the same as you indicated. So it seems that your site is live on GoDaddy, at least here in California. I don't know what your previous site looked like, so I can't compare it to know if is the same as the old one. If it is different, I would be glad to take a screen shot for you and email it to the contact address for you to compare.
One other thing you might try, and that is simply clearing the cache in your browser. If an image of the old site is stored in the cache it may not be refreshed properly until you clear it. You can do this by choosing "Empty cache" under the Safari menu or if using Firefox, open the preferences and at the bottom under the privacy tab, select Clear Now.

I have updated from Firefox 28 to Firefox 29 and Google+ is not working. I have uninstalled, cleared cache, reset the browser, started in safe mode and it still hasn't worked.
Firefox didn't show Google+ on all the computers I tried except a Pentium 4 computer with Windows XP.
Not loading images from Google+ is common. When you scroll down it still says loading and Hangouts has a 50/50 chance of actually showing up.

Thanks for contacting Mozilla Support. I've tried Google+ on a couple different machines with 29, including a Windows 7 machine and it seems to work without an issue.
Since it says loading could it be your wireless connection? Do you have another connection to the internet that you use to troubleshoot the issue.

If you just updated to Mountain Lion (10.8) and you were using Office 2004, your best option is to find a newer Office replacement. Here are a few:
Office 2008 or newer ($140 and up for the 2011 version; you may find 2008 used elsewhere)

LibreOffice (free)

My google doesn't work on firefox or any program else, can you help?

For a long time now Google hasn't been working on my computer (this was when I still used Explorer) but it worked on my sister's, so when I asked her she said 'Just download Firefox and it will work' so I did, but unfortunately it didn't work and now I don't know what to do, can anybody help me?

Did you try to reboot the computer?
Do you have multiple keyboard layouts installed?
It is possible that you have switched the keyboard layout by accident.

Google Doesn't Work?!

Hi guys,
Recently I have discovered that Google, YouTube, Yahoo, Flickr do not work. But other sites that I normally visit do. I have a 15" MacBook Pro running OS X (obv) I have scanned for viruses, and nothing was detected. I also used MacScan to find any spyware in which it found none as well. I have tried to open these sites on Safari, Chrome, and Firefox and still nothing.
I have reinstalled, reset, and cleared Safari's cache, and yet still nothing. I'm unsure on what is causing this, any ideas? Thanks for the help!

There could be a partial regional outage of the internet in your area;
and it would be next to unlikely for anything malware to cause the
issue you have experienced.
And if there were some malware or virii attack, nothing for sale today
would be practical as a defense against it.
My google works, and the things I usually use or try as a test do fine.
So, the sources are not the issue in this matter; but your ISP or maybe
your system settings may be at fault, in regard to accessing product.
And weather can affect some internet access, too.
Hopefully someone with more specific ideas or experience in that
area will reply with ideas on what else to check in your computer.

Google doesn't work properly with safari

So here is my problem:
I use google to search information on my mac, but there is problem, is searches with wrong server. I live in Russia, but it uses american server
So, does anybody know how to change server into right one?
I use both IPhone and IPad, and there google serches with right server

Problem is solved.
All ypu need is just change language preferences somewhere on Googles' site

My Google doesn't work

I tried to use the widget but I was told I needed to set up a Google ad-sense account first. I did that and added the Widget. Later my page displayed an input field asking for what kid of ads to show. Not wanting to interfere I left it. Later the input field disappears. Now after several days. The input field has gone.
What else do I need to do?
Any help welcome.

Are you trying to add a google search button? a search of your own site only? or the actual ad-sense button?

Google Instant, FB Chat & Netflix streaming doesn't work ? Mac replacement?

February of 2010 I had an issue where Facebook chat did not work, I would sign into facebook and there wouldn't even been an option for facebook, like it never existed.
Summer of 2010 I upgraded to Snow Leopard and did a complete wipe and install, started from scratch.
This fixed the problem. I later got netflix and enjoyed watching movies on my mac.
Then.. out of nowhere, facebook chat issue comes back, netflix doesn't work and says my computer doesn't meet the requirements (sarfar 3 and up, and 1Gb ram - i have safari 5 and 2g ram). And then google instant was released as well and that doesnt work. All while my girlfriends (summer 10') mac book pro works fine, as well as my cousins Mac Book Pro (Summer 09'), works just fine.
Oh and all three +google instant, fb chat and netflix+ dont work with either safari, firefox or chrome.
Here's what I have done so far.
Called apple. Reinstalled Safari, firefox, chrome. Uninstalled, installed flashplayer. Called netflix, said it was apples problem, called apple said it was netflix.
Then..
Went to Mall of America apple. Booted from their own copy of Mac OS X 10.6.5 from jump HD and everything worked! He said all I have to do is find my Snow Leopard disk, hold C and boot up computer and just install it again.
Just did that and it doesn't work, no change whatsoever.
I really do NOT want to do a complete wipe and install, that was a huge hassle, and I could not do a simple time machine back up and install because whatever is in my current OS would be exported into the new OS installation, get it? So I lost many files, playlists, music, bookmarks, documents, pictures.
This is the second time this has happened, what is my guarantee it wont happen a third time? It is definitely an OSX error or bug, but I have also had my track pad replaced three times since summer 2009, and a MagSafe battery adaptor replacement! Is there ever a time where Apple just replaces my MacBook?! I just upgraded to the 2 year extension, what will happen after 2 years? assuming my trackpad will need to be replaced 3x's every year and a OS reinstallation twice ever year?
What are my options?

That was very helpful. I didn't know "escalate" was the key word to get his problem solved. So thanks!
The Apple Support specialist said that if the trackpad fails a 4th time, and I ask to escalate that issue, then they would replace my whole Mac Book Pro.
As for the netflix, fb chat and google instant. This was an issue caused by Net Barrier, a 3rd party program that deals with online security, and also that I had deleted. However, the startup items for this program were still intact.
Solution
Boot windows in Safe Mode (power + shift key) and test for changes.
if it works in Safe Mode...
go to Macintosh HD>Library>startupitems
move all files under startupitems to the trash and reboot the computer.
This is what solved my issue! Hope this is helpful to anyone else with a similar issue.

Google Maps Widget doesn't work after upgrade to Safari 4.0

After a lengthy bit of trouble shooting with an iWeb specialist yesterday, we reached a conclusion that somehow installing the release version of Safari 4.0 (released Monday, 6/8) causes the GoogleMaps widget to not function or display properly. Using backup harddrives of recent systems, the widget worked properly in OS X 10.5.7 running iWeb 3.0.1 with both Safari 3.2 and the BETA VERSION of Safari 4. On that same system, once I download and installed the release of Safari 4., the maps widget would not work or display properly.
To describe what doesn't work: None of the options (search field, address bubble, or zoom controls) appear regardless of what the user selects in the HUD when creating or editing the content. I am unable to pan and/or scroll around the map within its bounding box at all. The only thing I am able to do is edit the address field in the HUD and end up with a map with that location centered in the window.
The AppleCare specialist didn't have much response in that I think this is a brand new and VERY obscure bug.
I am curious to know if anyone else has exprienced this condition.

It may be obscure in iWeb but the Safari 4 update has messed up the Google maps in iPhoto big time. Be sure to report it as they are all related to the Safari 4 upgrade and probably only be solved by a Safari fix.

Word 2008 doesn't work correctly with Exposé ... !

Hi, this is more a bother than anything else, but somehow Word 2008 doesn't work well at all with Exposé, as the windows aren't "recognized" by Exposé and incorrectly delimited ... Anyone having the same problem ? Cheers !

Thanks for your answer. No special circumstances, just that when there's a window in Word 08 and I activate Exposé, the Word window doesn't get highlighted when I hover over it, or the highlight is not aligned on the window ... I don't know if I'm being crystal clear. What's sure is that it's quite hard to select a Word window in Exposé on my computer !

Back button doesn't work in https google search

Google search seems to have made https mandatory when logged in. This breaks history and the behaviour of the back button from the results page back to the google search results page. I think that this is because google, upon clicking on a result link, redirects to the results page via an intermediary, obfuscated url, which causes the back button to also redirect back to the result page. This is exactly the same problem as described here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/892406?e=es&as=aaq for which there is no solution, as google doesn't allow us to disable https anymore. BTW, this behaviour is not replicted on chrome, i.e., back button works correctly in spite of the intermediate redirecting page.

What did you get a trial of? Adobe doesn't offer free trials of the Acrobat.com online services; did you get a free trial of Acrobat, perhaps? If so, you can save a PDF directly to Word from Acrobat, by choosing File > Save as Other > Microsoft Word > Word Document.

Accented characters in Word for Mac: Option-i doesn't work

I am trying to type an accented character (e.g., a circumflex over a letter). Everything I find online says type and hold "OPTION-i", release, then type the letter, but it doesn't work. Instead I get the accent over empty space, next to the letter. This is MS Word for Mac 2008 software on a MacBook Pro. Any ideas?

Nonsense. Nothing to do with your keyboard. Btw, you still haven't told us what character you're trying to insert.

That's an option, but not the only one. Just for the sake of argument, let's assume it's p-hat (not the party hat, but the symbol for sample proportion).
(1) Specifically in Word, you can use fields (overstrike). Go to Insert > Field… > Equations and Formulas > Eq; then type
EQ \O (p,^)
and confirm. (Note that "EQ" will be inserted by Word automatically, you don't need to type it again.)
Once you get the hang of it, you won't need to insert it using menu & submenu commands, but by typing and applying styles.
(2) The right way is Unicode. Currently, Unicode defines >100k codepoints, so, for obvious reasons, it's neither necessary nor practical for most keyboard layouts to be able to access anything but a small subset. You can enter Unicode characters using Character Viewer (aka Special Characters), or, more efficiently, using the Unicode Hex Input keyboard layout.
If the character is already defined as such in Unicode, eg, for all (upside down A), then hold down Option and type its Unicode hex code, ie 2200 -- ∀. However, p-hat isn't defined as such, so it must be entered as a combining character sequence. The sequence is ((Latin small letter p) + (combining circumflex accent)), or (p + 0302) -- p̂.
Unfortunately, all is not sweetness and light. Although this is how it should be done, the display may disappoint. Questions 12b and 12c in the respective Unicode FAQ explain what happens and why.
