Workaround for NFS problem

I am experiencing the following problem with the NFS client on Mac OS X Snow Leopard. I NFS mount a NFS share (say at /mnt/nfs). I run a program which reads from, and writes to, some files in some directory /mnt/nfs/adir. In another Terminal window I run "cd /mnt/nfs/adir ; ls -l". The directory listing is very slow. However - and this is the problem - if I then interrupt the directory listing (Ctrl-C), the other process (i.e. the program in the other window) that was accessing /mnt/nfs/adir aborts with the message "aprog: STDOUT: Interrupted system call".
Can anyone else reproduce this behaviour?
Is there a workaround?

Yes. Don't start the second process until the first one is finished.

  • Workaround for the problem of ultrabay HDD ejecting when waking from sleep

    After trying every possible "solutions" with no luck for the problem of the second hard drive always ejecting/disconnecting when waking from sleep in my T530, I've decided to create my own workaround.
    This is by no means a definitive solution but a nice workaround that uses little resources on the machine.
    The idea is to simply let a program runs constantly from the second hard drive. That way, when the HDD tries to disconnect, Windows is not allowing it and then it stays allways connected.
    To make it more thansparent I decided to create a Windows service that starts when Windows boot and stops when Windows shutdown.
    This Windows service is very lightweight : it does absolutely nothing and just waits indefinitively.
    The trick is that it just have to be started from the second hard drive.
    Here is a link to the Windows service, 32-bit and 64-bit, with the source code and scripts to install/uninstall.
    Just install it anywhere on the second hard drive (D: in my case).
    https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BxusNBl7tTO-Y3J5VDB3d2lQRzg/edit?usp=sharing
    Works perfectly for me on my T530 with Windows 7 Pro x64.

    Hmm, I have no problem with Ultrabay ejecting HDD when waking from sleep mode. At first, I went down the same
    route as you did. For the first few days when I received my T530 I kept an .iso file from Ultrabay HDD always mounted.
    But then I disabled all power saving options within Windows and Lenovo Power Manager and it seems to work fine.
    Works both with Windows 8 (64-bit) and Windows XP Professional (32-bit).

  • What is VLAN 0, and how do I get a workaround for this problem?

    To make a long story short, we have a 6500 L3 switch as our core switch for our corporate LAN. There is a 3550 connected to it by fiber, and a 3750 is connected to the other side of it also by fiber. I can go to the 3550 in the middle and ping/telnet either way, but can't do a complete ping or telnet from either end to the other end.
    This afternoon I tried a L2 traceroute back to the gateway of the vlan, and came up with this output --
    switch#traceroute mac ip 10.121.1.77 10.121.1.1
    Source and Destination arped on different vlans (source on vlan 0 and destination on vlan 1).
    Layer2 trace aborted.
    Nothing shows up regarding Vlan 0 on the 3550 when I execute 'show vlan'. VTP is set correctly, all vlans are populated, and L3 routing is turned off. Where does VLAN 0 come from, and how do I get the switch address on Vlan 1?
    Thanks,
    Jim

    Where are you issuing the L2 traceroute.
    Understanding Layer 2 Traceroute
    The Layer 2 traceroute feature allows the switch to identify the physical path that a packet takes from a source device to a destination device. Layer 2 traceroute supports only unicast source and destination MAC addresses. It determines the path by using the MAC address tables of the switches in the path. When the switch detects a device in the path that does not support Layer 2 traceroute, the switch continues to send Layer 2 trace queries and lets them time out.
    The switch can only identify the path from the source device to the destination device. It cannot identify the path that a packet takes from source host to the source device or from the destination device to the destination host.
    Switches Supporting Layer 2 Traceroute
    The Layer 2 traceroute feature is available on these switches:
    * Catalyst 2950 switches running Release 12.1(12c)EA1 or later
    * Catalyst 3550 switches running Release 12.1(12c)EA1 or later
    * Catalyst 4000 switches running Catalyst software Release 6.2 or later for the supervisor engine
    * Catalyst 5000 switches running Catalyst software Release 6.1 or later for the supervisor engine
    * Catalyst 6000 switches running Catalyst software Release 6.1 or later for the supervisor engine
    But the above might not be the issue as you said from 3550 you can ping either 3750 or the 6500, the traceroute looks like you did from 3550. What you need to do is make sure that the 3750 and the the vlan for 10.121.1.1 are in the same vlan.

  • Workaround for Canvas.removeCommand Sony Ericsson problem wanted

    Is there a workaround for this problem (Sony Ericsson Phones)? http://developer.sonyericsson.com/message/47012 It's about Canvas.RemoveCommand. When I remove and add commands old commands are sometimes left in the list of commands on the right menu button. I have a Sony Ericsson K610i. I added more repaint();'s only resulting in a list of 5 commands. The list i supposed to be 2 commmands but I usually get 2 valid + 1 old command in the list at this stage in my midlet.

    Well, I found a temporary solution. When you are having a conversation at iChat and want to leave it, don't close the conversation first, but try to close the headset pressing the button for a long time. The OS will get the message "Bluetooth Disconnected" but the next time the headset (open it again of course) will work!
    Try it!

  • Aha!  Workaround for site corruption in iWeb '06 '08 updates

    I think I have found a workaround for a problem that's been plaguing me and no doubt other people who've bought iWeb '08 and used it to update an older site from iWeb '06 (skip to bottom for solution). This is relevant even after the 2.0.1 update that Apple shipped today.
    My iWeb project contains multiple sites, which I use to group photo albums. I found repeatedly that after I updated the site, made a change, and saved the project, a lot of the bitmap image files needed for pages with photo albums or other graphical embellishments were just gone from the project. Looking into the Domain.sites package (Finder: Show Package Contents) confirmed this - all the .jpg, .png files etc. just got trashed the first time I did a save (although the pages all looked ok after the upgrade but before the save!)
    At first I thought that the last site added to my multi-site project was spared at the expense of other 'sites' visible in the sidebar. Then I realized that only pages that had been viewed in iWeb after the update were spared! Generally I would view the pages in the bottom/last site as these were the ones I was currently working on - and these were spared.
    So I did an experiment - I opened (yet another) copy of my iWeb '06 backup in iWeb '08, and after the update but before saving I clicked on every page (thereby viewing it) in the whole site - and I have around 50 pages in about ten sites. Then I made a change to a single page, and saved the project. The fact that I had viewed all the pages seemed to make the problem go away! There were no missing photos or embedded bitmaps!
    *So the short version of the problem is:* any pages that have not been viewed within iWeb after updating a Domain.sites file (what I call the project) from '06 to '08 will have all associated bitmap image files deleted.
    *The solution:* immediately after updating the site, and before making any edits or saving, you must click on the sidebar entry for every page in the whole project (to view it in the editing window). In my case this meant also clicking on every entry of a blog, to display it.
    Conclusion: there must be some book-keeping of the database that supports iWeb that is not synchronized with the persistent store on disk unless a page is actually viewed.
    Hope this works for others, and that Apple gets a proper fix out ASAP. The 2.0.1 update issued today did not fix the problem for me - only the above workaround did.
    Rick

    Hi Rick,
    Sounds like my story, too. I have had some time to experiment on two different Macs (one G4 and one MacBook Pro). After losing the formatting and photos on one Mac after upgrading, I decided that I was going to test some theories on the other Mac prior to upgrading to iWeb '08. This is what I found - and what worked:
    Test 1:
    MacBookPro on iLife '06. I upgraded to iLife '08. I opened iWeb and noted that it did not recognize my original domain: iWeb '08 asked me to locate it or create a new one. I selected "choose" and selected the domain that I had created in iWeb '06 (user/library/application support/iweb). The site opened, performed the required update and opened up. I noticed immediately that some of the photos did not appear on some of the pages. Each time iWeb '08 was closed and reopened, more photos, sometimes different photos, would disappear. All that would remain was a grey placecard with a question mark in the middle (and the warning that the links were now missing). I even went as far as putting the photos back into position, saving and closing iWeb '08. But when I opened iWeb '08 again, the photos were missing...again.
    I rebuilt the entire site.
    Test 2:
    Powerbook G4 on iLife '06. BEFORE updating to iLife '08, I used the original iWeb '06 to publish the entire site to a local folder on my HD (as a security measure). Next, I created a copy of my domain (another security measure) and moved the original domain from 'user/library/application support/iweb' to my desk top. I then proceeded to upgrade to iLife '08. After upgrading, I opened iWeb '08 and received the notification that iWeb '08 needed to either create a domain or I needed to choose a domain. Since I moved my domain out of 'library/application support/iweb', I elected to create a new domain and saved it to the same location (library/application support/iweb).
    The new domain was created, iWeb '08 opened, I selected a template, then saved it and closed the program.
    Using Finder, I examined the new domain just created by iWeb '08. Using the 'get info' command, I noticed that the new domain has the extension ".sites2." The original domain created in iWeb '06 has the extension ".sites."
    I took my original iWeb '06 domain and used the finder "get info" command to manually change the extension from ".sites" to ".sites2." I got the warning asking me if I was sure I wanted to use ".sites2," and I selected yes, use ".sites2."
    Using the (original) domain just modified in the last step, now with the extension ".sites2", I inserted it into the 'user/library/application support/iweb' folder, replacing the domain file created during the start up of iWeb '08.
    I then opened iWeb '08.
    After a brief moment, iWeb '08 opened my domain revealing all four of my original web sites, complete and intact. After iWeb '08 updated the domain, I saved it, closed iWeb '08 and reopened it a few times before I was satisfied that EVERYTHING was working fine.
    In conclusion, I found that by changing the domain (created in iWeb '06) file extension to ".sites2", I was able to use iWeb '08 to successfully open it, complete and intact.
    I hope you may still have the opportunity to try this on your Mac. I also hope that you have good results.
    Cheers, Bryan

  • Suggested workaround for list itemrenderer bug?

    Can someone point me in the right direction for a workaround for the problem described as Flex bug 28191:
    https://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/SDK-28191
    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Populate a Tree/List with data and provide a custom itemRenderer class factory.
    2. Change the class factory and dataProvider at the same time.
    3. List.createItemRenderer() will crash during since Factory is the key and it has been changed.
                    delete freeItemRenderersByFactory[factory][renderer];
    Actual Results:
    Crash because the renderer can not be found since it does not exist on that factory dictionary since the class factory was changed and the lookup is using the new factory.
    Expected Results:
    Not crash.
    Seems like a race condition, as sometimes during this process it skips that block of code but in other cases it falls into this block and fails.
    I need to change the data provider and item renderer of a tree control at runtime. Is there one or more methods I should run to prevent this? As the bug notes state, this is an intermittent problem. The error occurs here:
    if (factory == itemRenderer)
                if (freeItemRenderers && freeItemRenderers.length)
                    renderer = freeItemRenderers.pop();
                    delete freeItemRenderersByFactory[factory][renderer];

    Thanks. Actually, I have been updating (not setting or changing) the tree's dataprovider, and then changing the classFactory like this:
    processesXML = event.result as XML;
    nodeTreeData.source = processesXML.children();
    if (treeMultiSelect)
    nodeTree.itemRenderer=new ClassFactory(renderers.TreeItemRendererV1);
    nodeTree.allowMultipleSelection = true;
    nodeTree.setStyle("selectionColor", "0xFFFFFF");
    nodeTree.setStyle("disclosureOpenIcon", MinusIcon);
    nodeTree.setStyle("disclosureClosedIcon", PlusIcon);
    else
    nodeTree.itemRenderer=new ClassFactory(mx.controls.treeClasses.TreeItemRenderer);
    nodeTree.allowMultipleSelection = false;
    nodeTree.setStyle("selectionColor", "0x7FCEFF");
    nodeTree.setStyle("disclosureOpenIcon", OpenArrowIcon);
    nodeTree.setStyle("disclosureClosedIcon", ClosedArrowIcon);
    I had tried using validateNow after changing the ClassFactory before but did get the error again. I will try it again but update the data provider after. Since it's an intermittent error I'm finding it hard to know if a fix is really working.

    what web server you're using, so I can't be of too much help, however, you
    might want to try adding to your obj.conf file:
    Error fn="query-handler" code=503 path="/path/to/file"
    Which in theory, should serve up the file located at "/path/to/file" when a
    503 error is generated.

  • Workaround for Reader 10.1.2 print crash issue

    Dear users,
    Based on the feedback provided to us in relation to the recent Print crash issues on Adobe Reader 10.1.2, we are hereby providing the following two workarounds for the problem faced. Please follow the steps below to get rid of this issue:
    WORKAROUND 1:
    Go to Start menu to Select Devices and Printers to access all Network Printers installed on your machine. Right Click to access Printer Properties. Open the Sharing Tab and give your printer a Share Name. If you wish not to share your printer then you may choose to give it a Share Name and then select “Do not Share” Checkbox. Please make sure that all Network printers have been assigned a Share name otherwise problem will persist. Please find below the screenshot for your reference.
    WORKAROUND 2:
    The second work around is to turn off the Protected Mode of the Reader and the problem will be resolved right away. However, it is not advised to keep the application in non-protected mode due to security reasons and it is advisable to turn this setting ON once you are done with your printing task. You can access this setting by going to Edit-->Preferences-->General pane and can find “Enable protected mode at start-up” at the bottom of the window. Please re-start the Adobe Reader after you have made changes to this setting.
    Thanks,
    Atul Agarwal

    Neither workaround 1 nor 2 work for me. I have a very small network, but my printer stands alone on the lan.
    I'm running Windows 7 SP 1. My printer is an hp oj pro 8500 hardwired via lan. When I installed Reader 10.1, all printing stopped. It doesn't crash, but finds the printer, starts to process the file, then a "Save As" window pops up and it wants to save the file as a *.pm. If I cancel, nothing happens and nothing prints. If I Save, it takes a long time (> 1min)  to process the file (simple text, 1 page), then the status box vanishes and nothing prints. I can't find the .pm file anywhere and there is nothing in the printer's queue.
    I installed 10.2.1. Same thing. Tried the patch for 10.2.1 printer crash (even though I'm not really crashing. Just a whole lot of nothing) and same problem.
    Reader 10.1.1 on my mac has no problems finding the printer. I'm leery of upgrading it to version 10.2.1 But we only have the one mac, and I'm stuck with the hp pc.

  • Workaround for the Fade/Appear blocky text problem in IE

    Just wanted to share with folks a workaround for the IE
    "blocky text" problem that you see when using Fade effects like the
    one used in this example:
    http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/samples/data_region/DetailRegionEffectsSample.html
    It turns out if you set the 'background' CSS property on the
    element you are fading, that IE properly renders the text. So to
    fix the effects sample above, all you would have to do is modify
    this CSS rule in the file to place a background color on the
    description region to get things to look good in IE:
    #description {
    opacity: 0;
    filter: alpha(opacity=0);
    background: white;
    So if folks have been avoiding the use of effects because it
    makes things look terrible in IE, you now have a workaround.
    --== Kin ==--

    I was using spry's AppearFade effect to transition between
    "slides" in what equates to a viewstack that I created.
    Then I noticed that it would take bold text in IE and make it
    look all smudgy or blurry.
    Well, after working on it for a while, I got to thinking,
    "This problem is specific to text rendered in MicroSofts
    browser"... "Hmmm, I wonder".
    So, I tried using this style rule: [ font-family:"MS Sans
    Serif",Arial, Geneva, sans-serif; ].
    Lo and behold, feed the stupid MS browser an MS font and it
    does not blur the text.
    I just wanted to get this our there. Because someone might
    want to solve this in a way where they don't have to set a
    background color...

  • Workaround for IE active content problem?

    Adobe
    posted
    a workaround for existing web pages to respond to the change in
    IE that requires users to manually activate Flash content. I tried
    doing the same document.write in an external file for the HTML
    files FlashHelp generates wherever I found the <object> and
    <embed> tags, but I get a script error ("Object expected") in
    the lines where I call the function. (The solution worked for me in
    simple HTML pages with Captivate movies, so I know it can work.)
    The only reason I can think of that it won't work is that the
    scripts are concatenating strings, not just showing a movie where
    the <object> and <embed> tags are. Has anyone found a
    workaround for FlashHelp so users don't have to manually activate
    the top and left panes? I put in a "wish" for Adobe to provide a
    solution on the site and later in an update or new version of
    RoboHelp (which is another issue in and of itself), but who knows
    when the developers will be able to come up with it. Thanks!

    Thanks for asking, Mimi. Here are more specific steps:
    1. Open Notepad or another program for creating text files.
    2. Create two functions. For example:
    function insertMaster1() {
    function insertMaster2() {
    You can call your functions anything you want, but the names
    must be different. Note that for the moment, they're empty, but
    we'll change that in a minute.
    3. Save the Notepad file with a JS file extension (for
    example, runactive.js). In Notepad, specify “All Files”
    for “Save as type” so that it doesn’t save as a
    TXT.
    4. When you generate your FlashHelp system, it creates a
    bunch of HTM files containing JavaScript in the destination folder
    you specified when generating your output. Locate wf_master.htm and
    wf_navpane.htm in the output folder. (If you leave RoboHelp to use
    its defaults, it puts your help system in an !SSL!/FlashHelp
    directory within your project folder.)
    5. Open wf_master.htm.
    6. In the <head> tags, insert a line that references
    your JS file:
    <script language=“JavaScript”
    src=“runactive.js”></script>
    7. Find the lines in the code that look like this:
    // Insert the “Master” SWF
    8. Highlight everything AFTER this commented-out block until
    the </script> tag. The last thing you highlight should be
    "document.write(strObject);".
    9. Cut the highlighted code and paste it into the first
    function in your JS file so it looks like this:
    function insertMaster1() {
    // Build up the variable string we will be sending
    strFlashVars = "uniqueHelpID=" + parent.UniqueID();
    ……(more code)
    document.write(strObject);
    10. In the place where you just cut all that code out of
    wf_master.htm, insert a call to the function:
    insertMaster1();
    That’s all you need because all that code you just
    moved was already in <script> tags in the HTM file. The
    </script> tag should come immediately after this function
    call.
    11. Open wf_navpane.htm.
    12. Repeat steps 6 – 10 for wf_navpane.htm. The code
    we’re concerned with in this file looks almost exactly like
    that in wf_master.htm, but there are a few lines less this time.
    Put the code you take out of wf_navpane.htm into the second
    function in your JS file. Where you cut out the code from
    wf_navpane.htm, put a call to the second function (it should come
    right before the end of the <script> tags):
    insertMaster2();
    13. Save your JS file and the two HTM files.
    14. Whenever you re-generate your output, RoboHelp is going
    to erase your new versions of these HTM files and create its own
    again. Copy your new versions of wf_master.htm and wf_navpane.htm
    to another location (can be a folder within your output folder).
    Now you have them so you can paste them back over RoboHelp’s
    versions each time you finish generating your output. For example,
    I would stow my wf_master.htm and wf_navpane.htm in a folder called
    "drop files." Then, after I get done generating my output, I copy
    those files and paste them in the output folder, letting them save
    over the ones that RoboHelp created.
    15. To test it once you've finished the swap, find the HTM
    file in your output folder that is named after your project. For
    example, if my project is called flying_monkey, I would find
    flying_monkey.htm. Open this HTM file in Internet Explorer, and you
    shouldn’t have any messages telling you that you have to
    press Enter or Spacebar or click on the panes to activate them.
    This runs from the same basic idea as Adobe’s
    workarounds for Flash—we’re going to a file external to
    the HTM files for the active content tags. Hope you find this
    useful! Let me know if you run into any problems.

  • Better workaround for the whine problem

    I have discovered a workaround for the commonly reported electronic whine in the MacBook Pro.
    As most will know, if you open PhotoBooth and run it in the background it will get rid of the whine. I also noticed that the same worked in ANY application that uses the iSight.
    So, looking around the Apple website for widgets I stumbled across this . . . .
    http://www.apple.com/downloads/dashboard/webcams/mirror.html
    It solves the problem!!!!! Runs in the background, in the Dashboard, takes up no resources also!!
    Regards,
    Tom

    Didn't read that whole thread on the issue did you?
    It also kills your battery life.
    The issue I don't believe is related to the CPU directly but is related to the overall power drain on the system..it seems anything that causes the system to use more power 'solves' the problem.

  • Problems understanding workarounds for 192804

    Hello,
    i have a problem that looks very similar to that described in "Known Issue #192804" (http://www.ni.com/white-paper/13164/en#192804_by_Category).
    The Problem is I don't quite understand the workarounds (For example, what is a "prim"?, or what is meant by "use this constant as the new type for the variant", a typedef? or what?).
    Could anybody be so kind and make a short example VI how this Workarounds would look in a VI?
    Many thanks in advance.

    "prim" is a common abbrevation for "primitive" which are most (if not all) 'yellowish' block diagram functions. So this refers to the yellowish "Variant To Data" function.
    The bug obviously is that the type is modified during compilation. By recreating it, you force LV to recompile the code and this should resolve the issue. But the 'type' you wired must be created new.
    So the procedure suggested here is to open a new VI. Drop the "Variant To Data" and connect the constant data type you were using (copy) from your original VI. Run the new VI once. Create an indicator on the "data" output of "Variant To Data", cut it out and put it into your original VI. Change it to a constant, remove the "datatype" constant and use the new constant instead....
    I think, suggestion 2 should be quite clear.

  • Workaround for Firefox SVG hyperlink problem?

    I am struggling with the Firefox 1.5 specific problem when using drilldowns with SVG charts.
    In IE 6, Mozilla 1.7 and Firefox 1.0.7 it works fine, but not with Firefox 1.5.
    Whenever I click on a link in a chart the link will be opened inline on the same page similar to an IFRAME ( <img src="http://i1.tinypic.com/skzz9f.jpg" border="0" alt="Image hosting by TinyPic"> ) . I don't want it inline. Seems to be a problem with the EMBED tag and Firefox 1.5.
    Did anybody find a workaround for Firefox 1.5 and SVG?
    Thanks,
    ~Dietmar.

    Hi Carl,
    Thats awesome! Thanks :). Took me while to figure it out, but when I'm hooked on a problem, I usually don't give up that easily ;).
    I guess cross-browser SVG support still has a good way to go.
    That would be a good addition to the wiki.OK. Is linking to the blog article ok or shall I create a complete entry?

    I just got an email from AT&T indicating I had exceeded 150GB of home data usage this month. It was because I used my home wifi to download 5000 songs to my iPhone from iTunes Match to fill it.
    I'm frustrated, since it used to be so easy to make iTunes Match work for a large amount of music: In iOS 6 what I used to do (if I had to restore iPhone and set up as new phone): Plug iPhone 5 into computer, set up phone as new, check "manually manage music and videos" and "prefer 128kbps" and make sure iTunes Match was off in phone settings. Then drag & drop 5000 songs (about 40GB) from iTunes into phone. Once that was completed (a couple of hours), I could disconnect the iPhone from my Mac, turn iTunes Match to "on" in phone settings, and I'd get a message on the phone saying "All music on this device will be replaced" which is fine, but other than taking a while to update the remainder of my iCloud stored music, it used very little data.
    Fast-forward to this past weekend. After updating to iOS 7.0.2 and having to do a restore and set up as new iPhone, this approach didn't work: When the step came "All music on this device will be replaced," all of the 5000 songs entirely re-downloaded all over again, which took 27 hours and burned through 40+ GB of home data (not phone data, since I was on Wifi). I kept my phone at home, plugged in and on wifi all weekend so as not to burn through all of my LTE data.
    What is the deal? If I have to do this again (let's hope iOS 7.0.3 or 7.1 doesn't force my phone into recovery mode again), I certainly don't have the time or patience to let iTunes Match redownload all music again, and I certainly don't want to use up 40+ GB of home data.
    Is there a workaround for this? Have others been successful transferring music via computer first and then turning on Match without problem in iOS 7.0.2? I'm sure it worked that way in iOS 6, and without completely redownloading all the music again, since that process would have taken several hours and a lot of home data, and I have not had any problems like this prior to iOS 7.

    I think a better question is why do you "have to" restore your iPhone and set it up as a new device as often as you seem to? This seems to be more of a problem for you.
    I followup question is why do you have iTunes Match turned on if you're syncing all your music to your iPhone?
    Perhaps you should examine how you're using your iPhone and iTunes Match?

    To answer this question, yes I have. It has always worked this way for me.

  • Can someone help me find a workaround to get flash to work in XP Pro 64 bit, like there is a workaround for vista 64 bit?

    Can someone help me find a workaround to get flash to work in XP Pro 64 bit, like there is a workaround for vista 64 bit?
    I am trying to get rid of all my 32 bit apps because the more of them you run in 64 bit the less resources are available.
    Firefox has a 64 bit browser they call the Shiretoko build. I love it, it's twice as fast as a heavily tweaked 32 bit firefox. Java has a 64 bit plugin that works with it.
    The last holdout is Adobe.
    Microsoft is making Vista and Win 7 64 bit as easy and smooth as the 32 bit versions as a means to get people to start using them.
    Linux has a way to make flash work with 64 bit.
    Remember when we all had a 16 bit operating system and how much better things got with 32 bit?
    Adobe, it's time!.. don't you see that?
    Can someone help me solve my problem? Please?

    no the audigy 2 zs is pci based. they have another called audigy 2 zs notebook and that's the one for laptop. if you can't find it from your vendor, you can always try getting it from someone else.
