can we insert two queries in a single workbook, how to accomplish this !
if some workbook is using the two queries how can we verify this.

Hi Sun,
To have more than one query in the same workbook,you can just do this.
Goto Business Explorer --> Analyser > Open the first query and click on Business Explorer>Tools and select the option " Insert Query" .

I've starte working with the excel toolkit combined with the GOOP toolkit. After finding out that the GOOP Toolkit apparently has problems working with LabView 5, with which I developed my application, I changed to LabView 6. My first step was to open an existing excel workbook. Here I was successful. On the other hand I could not create a workbook using the excel open vi. Did I miss something?

There's an input to the excel open that chooses "open workbook from file" or
"open new workbook" which should do it. Unless you meant 'worksheet' in
which case there is another function in the tookit to do that.

Standard troubleshooting...
1. Try a Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the slider. Slide to power off. Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the Apple logo.
2. Try a Reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider if, it comes up. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
3. Remove all apps from Recently Used list...
- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Tap and hold any icon in this list until they wiggle
- Press the red to delete all apps from this list.
- Press the home button twice when done.
4. If still a problem restore with your backup.
5. If still a problem restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it.
6. If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue.

How should i use the two results sets in one single report data region?

I have to create a report using the below condition...
Here my given data set query gives you the two result sets ,so how should i use that two result sets information in single report....when i accessing that data set query it will take the values off the first result set not for the second result set.
without using sub report and look up functionality..... if possible
is there any way to achieve this.....Please let me know..

You cant get both resultsets in SSRS. SSRS dataset will only take the first resultset
you need to either create them as separate queries or merge them into a single resultset and return with ad additional hardcoded field which indicates resultset (ie resultset1,resultset2 etc)
Then inside SSRS report you can filter on the field to fetch individual resultsets at required places. While merging you need to make sure metadata of two resultsets are made consistent ie number of columns and correcponding column data types should be same.
In absence of required number of columns just put some placeholders using NULL

Problem of displaying data using the two RFMs

I have an application:
a) Displaying of table using BAPI1
b) Updating the same table and returning the status whether the updation was successful or not.
for this we have two BAPIs:
1. BAPI 1: Two import parameters are imported and some export parameters are displayed.
2.BAPi 2 : In this rows under the export parameters of BAPI 1 become the import parameters and they update the table and Flag returns the value whether its successful or not?
I have done the first part of displayin the table.
How should i update the table in second scenario as i have to use the rows under the export parameters as import parameters?
Any suggestions on this

Hi
So you are able to execute the first BAPI and get the results in a Table say TABLE1.
Now you want to pass the values in Table1 as Import parameters to BAPI2.
If that is the case then do the following.
After you execute BAPI1 and fill TABLE1 with values.
Loop the table1 and pass the values to BAPI2 as import parameters. Note that in BAPI2 if you are passing multiple values then your import parameter must be declared under the Table Parameter Tab in the RFC.
Hope that is what you are looking for.

Scheduling workbooks using the command line

Hi, can anyone tell me if it's possible to schedule workbooks in Discoverer using the command line interface? If so, could you point me in the direction of any relevant documentation?
We've got 300+ reports to schedule on a regular basis and it would be useful if we had different options to schedule the workbooks e.g. for batch processing.

Inspired by your MacOS fix, I went looking to see if their was an easier Windows fix than my 'Repair Bonjour' process. Turns out there might be.
In the Bonjour 'Program Files' folder, there is an application named 'mDNSResponder.exe' which brings up a DOS dialog. After running this application and then opening iTunes, I had a stable AppleTV-iTunes connection through the evening until I put my computer to sleep.
I haven't done any thorough testing around this (the kind that Apple should have done before releasing iTunes 7.6), but it does seem to at least temporarily resolve the issue until iTunes is closed again. What would be nice is if this works without having to restart a faulty iTunes session (which the 'Repair' fix doesn't).

How do I simultaneously measure two frequencies using the two counters on a CompactDAQ chassis?

I am using two encoders as speed wheels to compare two different speeds simultaneously. I have the encoders connected to the two counter inputs of my CompactDAQ chassis using NI 9423 cards in order to measure the frequencies produced be each and then I convert that data into speed. How do I efficiently measure these frequencies simultaneously? I say efficiently because the only way I can get it to work right now is to create a task for the first encoder, gather my frequency data, clear the task for that encoder and then move onto the next. This is a slow process and therefore the measurements are not exactly simultaneous. If I try to measure them simultaneously I get resource errors.

Thank you for the information. The cDAQ-9172 has two counters on the chassis itself. There are no counters on the actual module. What this means is when you access Counter 0 using a module in slot5 (for example), you are actually accessing Counter 0 on the backplane of the chassis. This is why you are getting the resource is reserved error. If you have the other input frequency connected to the second counter of the chassis, you just need to access it using Counter 1 instead of Counter 0.
In your code, for the Counter 2 input, you have "cDAQ1Mod6/ctr0". If you just change that to "cDAQ1Mod6/ctr1", this will get rid of your "resource is reserved error. Also, to get both your tasks to be a little more closely synchronized, you should probably use a sequence structure to be sure that they start together. In the code below, I have used two seperate counters on two different modules and synchronized them. If you are using the same module you would just need to change the counter inputs to represent the two different counters on the same module.

While using the set operators, to match the number of columns in the SELECT list you can make use of NULL as:
SELECT COL_NAME1,COL_NAME2,COL_NAME3
FROM TAB_NAME1
UNION
SELECT COL_NAME1,COL_NAME2,NULL
FROM TAB_NAME2The columns in the both SELECT lists should be same and also the datatype. The resultant of the query will be the columns of first SELECT list (column aliases)

Can't use the two finger span to enlarge the images on the screen on my macbook pro

the macbook preo allows you to enlarge what is on the screen by spreading two fingers away from each other on the touch pad. The new ,ozilla firfox does not allow this to happen! When I could use it and enlarge type or a page to see better.

Is it a wi-fi or cellular connection that isn't working? If its wi-fi and other people/computers/phones can connect check your settings. If its cellular, are other people's phones (on the same carrier) working in the same location? If other people can't connect then it is likely a network problem. If others can you may need to reset/restore you iPhone.

Requirement wherein I want to call two queries in parallel using ABAP Prg

We are using RSCRM_BAPI to run a query in background and write the results to a table. We later read this table and create a file. I have a requirement u2013 wherein I want to call two queries in parallel using an ABAP program.
For our discussion assume:
1) Program : ZCALL_RCRMBAPI  is a program that calls RSCRM_BAPI in background and takes the query name as input
2) Program: ZMAIN_PROGRAM  this is the main program
The requirement is to call the ZCALL_RCRMBAPI in a loop. Also within the loop call it in parallel. Basically we have an ODS that stores ; FISCPER. So I call the two queries for a list of FISCPER.
ZMAIN_PROGRAM - A program that reads a table (ODS ) in our case and call the two programs in a loop and both should run in parallel .
Now if it was sequential u2013 it was easy u2013 I would just say
Loop at L_T_FISCPER .
Update Z_FISCPER with L_T_FISCPER-FISCPER u201C Assume Z_FISCPER is a Z table . The VARIABLE in the query Q1 and Q2 use a customer exit to read this table.

Comparing two queries with VBA macro

I have a workbook woth 2 sheets. Every sheet has a BEx query (so 2 queries).
I need, for every column in the first query, to check if it is present in the second query, to generate a list with the NOT PRESENT values (or simply, marking the not present values).
I tried with Searching excel functions by column, but every query hs more that 30.000 rows, so it takes a long time.
I think I have to use an excel macro. I have been lookong for in the forum but my doubt is that I have to execute when the two queries has been refreshed.
How can I know when the two queries has been refreshed?
Is there any other way to do it?
Any idea of how to reference a query from the other?
I think the code shoud be in this way:
for every row in the first colum of 1st query
look in every row in the first column of 2nd query
mark in first query if not present.
If I put the macro in 1st query, how can I reference the 2nd one?

Hi Oscar, there are several ways to do this.
The easiest way would be:
1. in the SAPBEXonRefresh subroutine (which you will find in the SAPBEX Module attached to your query-containing workbook), add code that looks something like this:

This will create named ranges in Excel so that you can easily locate the result tables later. And, ensure that you know the date that each query was refreshed. And, after the second query is refreshed, it will call your query comparison routine.

Formulas in Workbook causing the Workbook to open very slowly

Hi Everyone,
I have a very long pending issue fro our users. We have a workbook which has two queries inserted. And there is a Formula which is hardocded up to 5000 rows. And due to thiis workbook is opening very slolwly.
The Formulas is
=IF(BExGetData($X$3,$X$6,$B13,$X$4,$X$5,$G13,W$11,W$12)="#NV",,BExGetData($X$3,$X$6,$B13,$X$4,$X$5,$G13,W$11,W$12))
The above formula replaces #NV value with a blank and then if there is any other value apart from #NV, then it calculates a different value in the back end. Since the business , does not know howmany rows of data comes, so he hardcoded the formula for 5000 rows as this is the maximum count.
Can anyone please provide a solution to avoid so many hardcoded formulas and have an alternative using some macross.

Any ideas on this.............. This is a IP Workbook . Basically the formualas are written to 5000 times in the workbook to perform those functions. So, when there are no 5000 rows of records, then also formulas are calculated. Is there any way to write a Macros for the same and include the formula once in the Workbook and loop itusing macros code. And this loop should work for the no.of rows that are present in the workbook. may be 1 rowto 5000 rows and so on.
