Workflow in XI Proxy

Hi
Iam new to workflow.
I had an requirement, the customer creation in SAP is through XI inbound proxy through FM BAPI_CUSTOMER_CREATEFROMDATA1
when a customer is created, it should trigger a workflow for the approval.
how can the above requirement can be done.
Please suggest me.
Thanks
Srinivas

Hi,
customer i s created  by using this bapi   BAPI_CUSTOMER_CREATEFROMDATA1
it will export customer no as a exporting parameter
create one subtype for KNA1 Business object and delegate it
crete one event  like creted in the subtype
By using this create event  using sap_wapi_create_event
BO is KNA1,
key is customer no
event name : creted
this thing has to be done after bapi call in XI Proxy.
by using this event start workflow and send for approval.
any queries pls revert back

  • 5D mark ii workflow in FCPX (proxy editing?)

I am hoping for some advice about workflow using a 5D mark ii and FCPX I have just made the jump from FCP7 to FCPX and I am about to start editing 1.5TB of 5D H.264 footage and an old macbook pro.
As far as I understand the recommended workflow would be
    1. On import create prores 422 (optimised media) and proxy media (prores proxy)
    2. Edit using the proxy media
    3. Finish the project and export using the prores 422 (optimised media)
The problem is, this will use an obscene amount of hard drive space and take about 30 years on my old laptop. most of the material will not make the edit of the final film and it seems like a shame to have a hard drive full of unused prores files.
My question is, would it be possible to go thru the process without creating the prores 422 (optimised media) files until the end and then only transcode the exact media i need? for example as below?
    1. Create prores proxy media from my H.264 files.
    2. Edit using the proxy files until project is finished.
    3. Create prores 422 (optimised media) files of only the exact media in the finished project.
    4. do the last colour corrections ect and export a high quality project.
Or are there any other suggestions for the best way to save time and hard drive space whilst still having a smooth editing experience and getting a good quality export.

Don't try to edit the native h.264 material - it's very highly compressed and not designed for editing or colour correcting. Create Proxy media from the camera media, then edit and colour correct with that.
As you select Original or Optimised playback in Preferences BEFORE you export, the export will be at full 'quality'.
This is my pet simple explanation of ProRes 422.
(I was confused by it for years, but a Ripple Training tutorial on MultiCam Editing finally cleared it up for me).
Most video cameras use very high compression to store media on cards or tape. If the native camera files you are working with play back and edit well with FCP X, strictly speaking, you don't need to transcode to ProRes (but it helps - especially if you have multiple camera angles and effects, titles etc - and with colour correction).
If your playback is problematic, it's best to transcode the material. You can do this at any time. ProRes 422 is not so highly compressed as native camera footage, so it's far easier for your Mac to play it back (not so much unpacking to do). The downside of the footage being lightly compressed is that it takes a lot more disk space.
If disk space is at a premium, use Proxy. Native 1920 x 1080 footage becomes 960 x 540 when converted to ProRes Proxy, so it this takes a fraction of the disk space but is much lower quality. This is absolutely fine for editing - but you must remember to choose 'Optimised or Original Footage' in FCP X Preferences before you export otherwise you'll export 960 x 540.
I use some XDCAM EX footage from a couple of Sony EX1 Rs and some H.264 from a Canon 5D mk2. Until recently, I edited the XDCAM footage natively but I transcode the H.264. Now I'm using Proxy more - especially for multicam editing.
I sincerely hope your Projects, Events and Media are on a fast (Firewire 800) external HD (Formatted OS Extended). Keeping them on your system drive makes it difficult for your Mac to operate. It's also a very good idea to hide Audio Waveforms in your Timeline when you don't need them. They waste a lot of processor power.

  • Workflow: AVCHD to Proxy editing (no optimizing), Export from original media. Any disadvantages?

I've been reading AVCHD threads for FCP 7 and now FCP-X for a year or two. I understand the concepts. Now with FCP-X, I don't see any advantages to optimizing media to Apple Pro Res 422 on import. I'd be using the Pro Res Proxy and then ultimately exporting out with the original source files. The Proxy files will make editing fast, the export from source files removes any chance of generation loss, and not optimizing to Pro Res 422 at import will save a ton of backup space over the years. I realize the final export may take a bit longer from the raw AVCHD files vs. from Pro Res 422 media (how long I don't know yet).
Based on this scenario, any good reasons as to why I should be also creating the Apple Pro Res 422 files? Am I missing anything?
    Thanks,
    Dave

    Questions:
    1. When you are ready to export, you MUST switch the playback to Original Material so FCP-X knows not to export with the Proxy files? I've seen posts implying this might be true and also that FCP-X will know to export using the source files and not Proxies.
No. You don't have to do this. Playback is just that, playback. When exporting, FCP X will not use transcoded media as the source. You do of course need to have the original source available/on line for FCP X to access. However, switching back and forth is a simple and quick operation so even if you did have to,
    2. Once I set up a new Event and point it to the original source files and create the Proxy files, can I assume that since the Proxies are created, FCP-X won't need to reference the source files again until export time? If this is the case, I can easily work on my laptop's internal drive without lugging around an external drive until I'm finally ready to export.
Yes, this is true. You can either do the method you described (copying the event to/from external to internal drives), or have the event on your laptop with the original source media on the external drive. Proxy media would be generated and stored in the Event folder (on your internal drive) while source media remains on the external drive. Just don't select 'copy into event folder' when importing the source media.

  • SP2013 Workflow Service Application is not showing up only WF Service App proxy but the WF is working...

I configured Sharepoint Workflow Manager 1.0 in Sharepoint 2013 App Server running under Windows 2012 R2. The Workflow manager is working properly - I tested using Sharepoint Designer and Sharepiont Workflow 2013 is listed.  But under Service Applications,
only Workflow Service Application Proxy shows up NO Workflow Service Application.
I followed the troubleshooting steps on this - I have re-registered WF many times but still only proxy is coming up.
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/laleh/archive/2014/09/03/sharepoint-2013-workflow-troublehsooting.aspx
I also run IPConfig /FlushDNS, rebooted App and WFE servers.
Any reason why WF Service Application is not showing up? Any resolution to have WF Service App show up?

    Hi John,
I recommend to click Configuration Wizards in the Quick Launch of Central Administration site and then click Launch the Farm Configuration Wizard.
And then make sure that the Workflow Service Application is selected and then click Next. (You can uncheck the other service applications if you do not need them)
After that, the Workflow Service Application will show up.
    Best regards.

  • Error when running workflow form list item - workflow manager SharePoint 2013

I am getting the following error in the workflow services log when I tried to run a SPD 2013 workflow from as list item. The workflow page comes up with an "An unexpected error has occurred"

    Can't find anything on google.
Edit: Ok, when I look at the error, it is saying the the "GetInstances" stored procedure in the WFInstanceManagementDB database does not have a parameter named "@OtherWorkflowStatus".
For laughs, I added the parameter (which wasn't in there). Now I get the error:
Procedure or function 'GetInstances' expects parameter '@OtherWorkflowStatus', which was not supplied
It seems like there is something not right about my installation. Previously, I couldn't get the workflow backend service to run because there were config values missing from the workflow manager database. At the time I tried to uninstall/reinstall
WFM to no avail. I eventually had to manually add the values to get it to work. Something is not right about the WFM install/config process.

Here is what I had to do to get it working:
Leave the WFM (Workflow Manager) farm using the WFM config tool
Uninstall WFM, Service Bus, and the CU's from control panel
Uninstall Workflow Manager Client if it exists in the control panel, it didn't in mine
Delete the following databases in SQL Server:
    SbGatewayDatabase
    SbManagementDB
    SBMessageContainer01
    WFInstanceManagementDB
    WFManagementDB
    WFResourceManagementDB
Delete the workflow proxy service in Central Admin (important)
Application Management > Manage Service Applications
Highlight (select) the Workflow Service Application Proxy service (don’t click the hyperlink)
    Select “Delete” from the ribbon.
    Restart the server
    Reinstall
Enable the workflow proxy service in CA for the web app, the 2013 workflow option will not show up in SPD unless you do this.
Application Management > Manage Web Applications
    Select your web app
Select “Service Connections” from the ribbon
Check the Workflow Service Application Proxy item and click “OK”

  • 2013 Workflow Service - Enabled for Other Site Collections

I have setup the 2013 workflow service with our SharePoint environment. This works fine with the site collection originally used to register the workflow service.
The other site collections (in the same web application - we are using host named site collections) cannot see this, and SharePoint designer gives the error: "The option for the SharePoint 2013 Workflow platform is not available because the workflow
service is not configured on the server".
Now as the other site collections are in the same web application, the have the service connection to the "Workflow Service Application Proxy".
I have also seen posts about running a "Enable-SPFeature" command on the other site collections to enable WorkflowService or WorkflowServiceStore but this only returned an error (essentially) saying the futures were already enabled.
Where else can I look to try and diagnose what is wrong or what can I do to allow the other site collections to get access to the 2013 workflow service?
    Thanks,
    Richard

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that the SharePoint 2013 workflow platform not worked in other site collection.
Did you enable the workflow service application proxy? You can enable it as below, then check whether it works.
Whenever a new workflow service application proxy is created in SP2013, by default it will not be associated(service connection) with any web application.
You can go to Central admin site->Manage web applications page -> Select the web app which was registered earlier during configuration and check " workflow service application proxy" and click OK.
Did the workflow platform work in other web application?
If they all not work, I recommend you reconfigure the workflow manager, you can also check the steps with the following articles.

  • Errors when installing Workflow Manager

I am trying to install WF Manager, but with no success.
On the same machine, I have installed SQL Server 2014, SharePoint 2013 with SP1 and WF Manager.
I installed WF manager (account that runs WF manager is sp farm admin) and registered with command
    Register-SPWorkflowService -SPSite "http://dev/" -WorkflowHostUri "http://localhost:12291" -AllowOAuthHttp
In Central Admin, when I click on "Workflow Service Application Proxy ", I get message that WF is connected. Backend service is running. In SP Designer, I can create 2013 Workflow and publish it, but that WF does not work, it break instantly.
In SP logs, I get this error when I try to activate feature that contains workflow (solution that contains WF created in Visual Studio):
    http://radioaddictsanonymous.com/view/635399286724222582163282/error-while-deploying-sp2013-workflow-from-vs2012-nullreferenceexception
So, I deleted WF manager and service bus and reinstalled it, but with no luck. Now backedn service is not working, and I can't start it, getting this error:
"The Workflow Manager Backend service could not be started  A system error has occurred  System error 1067 has occurred"
In Event Viewer I have this error:

I have tried to reinstall everything couple of times, but it doesn't work. I think that I am not deleting everything related to workflow before reinstallation. How can I unregister already registered WF service and reinstall everything correctly??

  • Pairing Workflow Manager with SharePoint Online

    Hi everyone,
    I found
this post by Adis Jugo and I wondered if this is (or maybe is planned to be) supported in SharePoint Online?
I created custom code activity, used it in workflow (sharepoint app) and it works on SP 2013. What I want to do, if it is possible ofc, is to use the same sharepoint app in SP Online..
This is the tutorial which was followed to create Workflow CodeActivity..

    Hi Mahesh,
According to your description, my understanding is that you got an error when you register workflow manager for SharePoint 2013.
Firstly, please check whether you install SharePoint Developer tools Preview for VS 12. If yes, please uninstall it , and restart the server, then run Register-SPWorkflowService.
If this issue still exists, go to Central Administration, and check whether the web application is connected to Workflow service application proxy.

  • Please help: Workflow service is not connected

This questions is in continuation to my query posted ...see below link
    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/e6a880d4-e252-49bc-8866-f3f959abf23f/do-i-need-to-have-sharepoint-designer-2013-installed-on-sharepoint-2013-production-server-to-create?forum=sharepointgeneral
I noticed that the web application is associated with "Workflow Service Application Proxy" from Central Administration site. However
I do not see Workflow Service application listed in the Manage service applications, but only Workflow service application proxy is listed and when I clicked on this, I see that the workflow is not connected though it shows started.
Also Ran ‘Get-WFFarmStatus’ command to check if the Workflow service is running, and to my surprise it is running.
    Snapshot below:
If I re-register the workflow (used below command), I am getting Register-SPWorkflowService : Failed to register because the farm or partition
is already registered with a workflow service
    Register-SPWorkflowService -SPSite "http://abc" -WorkflowHostUri "http://localhost:12291" -AllowOAuthHttp
I am unaware of this… but now I am doubting if this is creating the problem. I have registered the workflow withhttp://localhost:12291
on my SharePoint server. Should the workflow have DNS entry to register?
Also, we do not have user profile service, so the user profile service & user profile synchronization service are not started. Do I need to start ‘user profile
    synchronization service’ as Nikhil suggested.
Please help me to resolve this issue please.
    Regards,
    DJ

    Hi Rookio,
Based on your description, your workflow service is not connected.
For troubleshooting this issue, I recommend to verify the things below:
    1. Check the workflow management site is starting. If yes, restart the workflow management site.
    2. Check the ULS log to see some information about your problem.
    3. Re-register workflow service with force: Register-SPWorkflowService -SPSite "http://myserver/mysitecollection" -WorkflowHostUri "http://workflow.example.com:12291"
    -AllowOAuthHttp  -force.
    4. Run the PowerShell command to see if the issue still occurs: Enable-SPFeature -Identity WorkflowServiceStore –Url $yourUrl.
Per my knowledge, you do not need to start user profile synchronization service when configuring the workflow manager.
However, the user who deploys and runs a workflow must be added to the User Profile service, so it is recommended to start the user profile service application.

This error is displayed when you forgot to enter the display type for an item. You should see a warning icon in the Application Definition Editor at the corresponding group/item that indicates a required field is missing a value.
We will make this more robust in the next release, by explicitly raising a useful error message.

  • How to create proxy class for a Siebel WS which has many Workflows in it?

    Hi,
I am facing a strange problem. I have a Web Service for which there are many workflows associated with this. When I generate WSDL for this Web Service and later on generate proxy class in .NET, it creates mutilple classes for each workflow. From UI, I can invoke a perticular method for the class for which I am interested in. But when I am building the same in JDeveloper, using Web Service proxy, I get only one class and I am not interested in invoking method in this class but interested in some other class for which the proxy was not generated. Is there some way to generate multiple classes in JDeveloper proxy?
    Thanks,
    Sudha.

I have figured this out. Actually Generate proxy creates package and it includes all the class in it. Now i am able to invoke web service method call.

  • Step by step Apple ProRes 422 PROXY workflow, please.

Anyone could help me find a complete video or not, "Step by step Apple ProRes 422 PROXY workflow", please. I can´t find any.
I´ve never used Apple ProRes 422 PROXY and I´ve all the doubts on how to use it, final quality, etc, etc.
My original files are from a Canon 5DMII (H.264) and I usually transcode to Apple ProRes HQ with the EOS1-plug-in. The renderings are too long...during my editing ,-( Too long and my machine stops with the heat after several hours.
(I´ve my settings ok, between my files and my project, etc).
Is Apple ProRes 422 PROXY, a possible solution, at least during the editing process? Good quality and less time rendering?
What about final output? Can I have 1080p/24 pristine as I´ve now?
I´m editing with a MacBook Pro 15"/2.33 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo/4GB SDRAM.
Thanks very very much. I´m a bit desperate 8~S

    ProRes flavours:
"The Apple ProRes format comes in five versions: Apple ProRes 4444, Apple ProRes 422 (HQ), Apple ProRes 422, Apple ProRes 422 (LT), and Apple ProRes 422 (Proxy)."
    from http://documentation.apple.com/en/finalcutpro/professionalformatsandworkflows/in dex.html#chapter=10%26section=2
Tom, you mean, Apple ProRes 422 or Apple ProRes 422 (LT).
    Why? Because this specs?
    (according to Apple)
    "Apple ProRes 422
The Apple ProRes 422 codec provides the following:
    Target data rate of approximately 145 Mbps (1920 x 1080 at 60i)
Higher quality than Apple ProRes 422 (LT)
    Apple ProRes 422 (LT)
The Apple ProRes 422 (LT) codec provides the following:
Roughly 70 percent of the data rate of Apple ProRes 422 (thus, smaller file sizes than Apple ProRes 422)
Higher quality than Apple ProRes 422 (Proxy)"
Are enough (Mbps, colorspace, etc) to handle with files from 5DMII (1080p/24 my settings) without a big waste of resources; space, time, etc? In this the point to consider?
"If you use Proxy for ingest you'll have to batch ingest to higher resolution for output." - Tom.
I´m sorry but I know nothing about the use of Proxy files, so I don´t understand what you mean. That´s why I asked for an explanation step by step... ,-(
Additional question: is it possible (at all) to change the projects I´ve (several); all with Apple ProRes HQ to another ProRes version? Will I loose what? Effects, filters, renderings?
    Thx.
