Workflow - processed but errored

Hi Experts,
I had developed a simple workflow with a user decison to approve or reject and after wards send a  a mail. The process works fine but the workfow log shows an error that no agent assigned. I had given &_WF_INITIATOR& at the mailing activity for approval or reject.
can some one help me with this?
Thanks
Dany

Hi Dan,
Try giving with the user name instead of workflow initiator &_WF_INITIATOR..

  • OWB workflow process job error

Hi, I tried the sample in OBE for OWB. When I start to execute "LOAD_EXPESNE_WH" process, I got the following log file(see below).
The job ended in error, but I don't know further information where the error is happening. Can you explain what the error might be or where I might look for more clues?
    Thank you very much,
    Execution : LOAD_EXPENSE_WH
    Runtime User : REP_OWNER
    Started : 2007-03-06 12:59:55.0
    Updated : 2007-03-06 13:00:08.0
Job Final Status : Completed with errors
    Job Error Count : 0
    Job Warning Count : 0

Thanks for the help. I don't find a log directory under rtp at server side. However, I logged in Repository browser( is this the OWB runtime Auit browser you referred to?), found some error messages.
ORA-29913: error in executing ODCIEXTTABLEOPEN callout ORA-29400: data cartridge error KUP-04040: file expense_categories.csv in SOURCE_LOCATION not found
Now I need to explain my setup. I'm running Design Center(DC) on a client machine while Oracle database is running on a seperate server machine. The flat source files are located on the client machine c:\newowbdemo\sourcefiles. SOURCE_LOCATION has been defined to c:\newowbdemo\sourcefiles where the flat files reside. So it looks like Oracle ETL can not find the files on the client machine.
So I just created identical directories as c:\newowbdemo\sourcefiles on server machine, rerun ETL process, and it now completes successfully.
    This begs two questions.
    1. Is DC supposed to be running on server machine?
    2. Can DC use UNC name convention?
    Please give me your thoughts.
    Thanks,

  • Error has occurred in workflow processing

    Hi All,
The email notification sent back to employees to notify them that the timecard was submitted successfully is erroring. I looked in the workflow administrator resp and noticed the employee notifications were failing.

    Hi,
You can reset the template in the frontend System Administrator -> OAM -> Workflow -> View Details -> Edit.
    OR
You can override the template as i mentioned in the prevoius post by including a attribute in the respective message(Refer Workflow Developer's guide for more details).

  • Issue Setting Resource Attributes via Workflow Process

I'm currently trying to set resource attributes via a workflow process, but for whatever reason the attribute is not detected as "changed" and the update object has nothing about the attribute. I'm wondering if I'm just doing something wrong with the way I'm setting it, or if I'm missing a piece to apply the upate.
    What I'm doing is...
    1. Checking out the user view
    2. updating the attribute via code something like this...
    <set name='user.accounts[ldap].attributeIWantToChange'>
    Logic in here
    </set>
    3. then I'm checking the view back in.
Anyone know why this isn't working(I can set other attributes like waveset.roles fine this way)?
    Edited by: UNO-AD-HM on Jul 6, 2009 12:54 PM

Figured it out, have to load a different form in when I check the view out, the tabbed user's form will not update resource attributes.

  • FTP error in oracle workflow process

    Hi All,
I have written a workflow process which deletes a file on FTP. The process is deleting the file but is showing a warning message. Does anybody have a idea regarding this. One more thing even if file is not found the process completion status is successful. Its status should be error.
The ftp site is on the same machine as owb server.
The following values have been passed
    Command: ftp
    Parameter List: /-A/localhost/
    Success Threshold: 0
    Script: delete filename
    Output Message Received:
    Starting Execution ETN_DELETE_FILE
    Starting Task ETN_DELETE_FILE
    Starting Task ETN_DELETE_FILE:FTP
    Completing Task ETN_DELETE_FILE
Anonymous login succeeded for [email protected]
WARNING: Log file truncated - see RAB for further information.
    Completing Execution ETN_DELETE_FILE
Please let me know about this.
    Thanks & Regards
    Bang.

I am not saying your method is not correct, but if you give a shot to go with User Defined Activity. Yep that's correct , just write line in a shell script and call that script in user defined activity.
    Property values
    command ksh
script     pathname with that script file name (/tst/usr/script/filename.ksh)
    or
    command     mv
    parameter_list     pathname with that filename
I feel this is very simple and easy to manage too.

  • Can deploy process but not workflow (10.1.3.10 beta)

I tried to deploy several of the demo BPEL processes, but each time the process is deployed successfully, but the workflow is not. Fro example OrderApproval.
I tried setting properties in the build.properties file, but apparently to no avail. Also changing them via the project ant properties did not help.
It looks like the payload JSP did not get deployed -- most of the process works, including the workflow bit, as long as one does not try to look into the worklist entry contents (which gives the 404 Not Found error, same as in the 10.1.2 version when the JSP page is not in the proper directory of hw/worklistexpress).
I noticed some strange behavior in the build properties as stored in the project file (OrderApproval.jpr). There are a lot of equivalent ("fromjdev") entries in the oracle.jdeveloper.ant.AntRunConfiguration hash table. Also, each time after I run a deploy, the value for oc4jinstancename is removed and a corresponding <null/> entry shows up in the file. I tried cleaning up redundant fromjdev entries, but it did not help.
Also hard coding the oc4jinstancename attribute to soademo did not help.
Any suggestions on how to fix the build? See below for a log; I added printing of the deploy attributes to the build.xml file.

When I change the rmi ports to 23793 via the project properties and save, they get updated correctly in the .jpr file. However, the deploy still fails, because somehow JDeveloper resets the values back to 23791 (just as it routinely wipes out the oc4jinstancename) and writes them to the .jpr file.
How can I make the new value 'stick'?
I tried changing the port of the LocalBPELApplicationServer from 23791 to 23793 but got:
Error while getting remote MBeanServer for url: ormi://localhost:23793/default:
Error reading application-client descriptor: Error communicating with server: Connection refused: connect; nested exception is:

When I click on the [+] next to the connection I get this:

    <snip>
And even then, the deploy process still forces the port to 23791.
I restarted the server and JDeveloper, but the problem persists.

  • Error when executing external workflow process

OWB 9.2 with server on Windows NT.
I can successfully execute a mapping workflow process from the deployment manager, but I get an error when executing a simple external process:
    command: move
    parameters: ?c:\\data\\owbtest\\src.txt?c:\\data\\owbtest\\trg.txt
    Resulting output:
    Create Process: move c:\data\owbtest\src.txt c:\data\owbtest\trg.txt error=2
    File c:\data\owbtest\src.txt exists.
    My questions:
    1. What am I doing wrong?
    2. What does error=2 mean? Is this a Windows error?
    3. Do I have to configure some location for the process? What does 'use default location' mean for the configuration property Working Location? Is a host-logon performed before the host-command is executed?
    4. Is there logging available for an external process? In the workflow tables or views?
    5. I can't find much documentation for these questions. Is there more documentation than the OWB user guide and the OWF guide?
    Jaap.

It seems that commands that are not an executable in some directory, but are part of the Windows kernel (like 'move'), need to be started as a parameter of the cmd command. I did this and now it works fine.

  • Document in Process but not found in the workflow

    Hi,
we have a document entered in purchasing and still in process but it is not found in the workflow, then it can't be approved by users.
    help please, thanks.

    You can try in test instance it first;
Run this script for your PO number, it will change the status from In Process to incomplete or Required reapproval,
then the PO need to be approved again, and you will be able to see it in the workflow
    UPDATE apps.po_headers_all SET authorization_status = decode(approved_date, NULL, 'INCOMPLETE',
    'REQUIRES REAPPROVAL'), wf_item_type = NULL, wf_item_key = NULL, approved_flag = decode(approved_date, NULL, 'N', 'R')
    WHERE po_header_id= -Po header ID-
    Hope it work

  • PO workflow process raises event but subscription does not fire

    Hi:
We are sending POs electronically in XML (11.5.10.2). The PO reaches the supplier correctly. The workflow process to send the PO to the supplier completes successfully. The workflow diagrammer shows that the process fully completes. The last task in the standard process raises an event called oracle.apps.po.event.xmlposent. By default this event has no subscriptions, but I created a subscription that will call a custom workflow process. In testing, I can manually raise this event, and my custom process works. But when the full process runs and completes my custom process does not run. Again, according to the workflow diagrammer, the event in question gets raised. I find no evidence of the event in question in an queue. Why would the process complete, including the step to raise the event in question, but I find no trace of it.
Can anyone suggest additional debugging steps or a solution?
    Thank you!

  • Workflow process does not complete for 3500 but works for about 10 records

    Hi Gurus,
I am a novice in workflow. Pls bear if the questions are very basic.
We have a old custom workflow process which is inistaed by a PL/SQL procedure
    WF_ENGINE.CreateProcess ---
    WF_ENGINE.StartProcess ---
    COMMIT; ---
Now this process has run for over 6-7 years but has always processed max upto 8 or 10 records at a time. Now we had about 4000 records in a table and the process was running for more than 4 days now and it has been termiinated.
I could not see any new item_keys. Is it because we have a commit only at the end.
This process has 3 sub processes. they are connected by 'AND' and then we have an 'End' node.
The first sub-process is simple and we can see a record in wf_items .
Howver no records are there in wf_items for the 2nd and 3rd sub processes.
How can we check the point where it has hanged. Querying Status monitor just gives the first sub-process that has completed. How to debug for these cases.
This has always worked for small volumes. Now we have about 4000 records and we face this problem
The process actually checks data from the table and based on some conditions , it send 5 different notifications to 5 different mail groups. So we expect about 4000*5 mails to be sent.
    Any help is welcome.
    Thanks,
    L

    L,
    Please check the following:
    1. Since this is pure PLSQL you can have a SQL script where you enable a database event to get a trace and then run tkprof on the output to spot any performance problem. You can use something like:

    2. Do you happen to know if WF runtime tables are being purged regularly? If this is not done you can expect serious performance problems. If this is WF Apps embedded you need to clean data using the concurrent request Purge Obsolete Workflow runtime data, if not then you can use the APIs in package WF_PURGE.
    3. You will only find one record in WF_ITEMS for this process if those sub-processes belong to the same item type
    4. About the notifications, make sure you are not running into this design problem: https://blogs.oracle.com/oracleworkflow/entry/looping_within_a_workflow_process

Disable the Convert higher bit rate songs to 128 kbps AAC option from under the iPod's Summary tab in iTunes and see if that helps.

    Hi
    XantosX5 ,
    Thank you for your posting!
According to your description, I try to reproduce your scenario in my SharePoint Server 2013 environment.
I create a lookup column in a list and create a workflow 2013 for the list. In the workflow, I add Send an email action. Then I display the lookup column in the body of the email as the below figure:
When I start the workflow, it works fine.
    Have you installed
the workflow manager 1.0 cumulative update 1 ? It can be the point.  If not, please install it.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
    Best Regards,
    Eric

  • Workflows completes but goes to "Sorry something went wrong" page

    SharePoint Version: 2013
    Workflow Version: 2010
    My Title: Junior SharePoint Administrator
I have been working weeks on a project to use workflows for a business process. It is as simple as setting variables and sending email to people.
I have successfully created a site workflow and published it. When I start the workflow, it starts fine but then show me this (very annoying and always unhelpful) error --> Sorry,
something went wrong. An unexpected error has occurred.
Funny thing, the workflow stills completes fine and I get the email notification I created in the workflow! No errors messages in the workflow history either - completely clean.
Is there any reason for this? I am concerned since it will be used by a large group of people monthly and this is a huge "NO" for UX experience and usability...
I have tried linking the Correlation ID to anything and looking through server logs. I have got nothing.
    Help please? :)

get the time that the error occurs, and recheck the log file that during this time, whether there is related information.
what's your workflow do? what's the result by using other user account to start the workflow.
