Workflow service issue

Hellos,
I assign a value for the field "Identification Key" which is inside the task Object, in scenarios where i set a value more than 100 Character, i get the following error:
java.sql.SQLException: ORA-20003: Error while inserting task
ORA-06512: at "ORABPEL.WFTASKPKG", line 760
ORA-12899: value too large for column "ORABPEL"."WFTASK"."IDENTIFICATIONKEY" (actual: 106, maximum: 100)
ORA-06512: at line 1
Is there anyway to change the maximum characters allowed for this field to be more than 100? cuz otherwise i'll have to do a lot of modifications on many dependent applications that are running now on a Production Environment.
I appreciate if someone can help me in this.
Thanks in advance.
Hammam,

John,
I'd work thru this: https://msdn.microsoft.com/library/azure/jj193529%28v=azure.10%29.aspx
Did you configure the App Mgmt Service Proxy?  I got bit by that one - link below.
And my apologies, it's been a while since I installed WFM, but I *think* you need the WF Client on your developer workstation, and on the server.  And you'll want to use the Microsoft Platform Mgr to do the installs - be careful, there are different
versions for the WFM Clients. Ah, just checked my OneNote on setups, here are some links that may help:
For workflow mgr setup, follow this pretty much exactly:

  • Workflow service configuration issue

I am having issues setting up workflow service in my SharePoint 2013 environment. My setup is  single server farm.
I see the workflow service under the "Manage Service Applications" option in the central administration (as show below), but I do not see this service available under the service for the server under "Manage Services on Server".When
I open Designer and try to create workflow, I do not see the drop down for SharePoint 2013 workflow.
I am also attaching the IIS screenshot.
    Register-SPWorkflowService
    –SPSite http://sharepointsite –WorkflowHostUri
     http://server:12291 –AllowOAuthHttp
Also, when I go to "http://localhost:12291/" it shows me message "
The website declined to show this webpage"

  • Workflow Susspend Issue

    Hi All,
I am facing an issue with SP2013 Custom Workflow developed using Visual Studio 2012.
Objective of the Custom workflow: User fills the form and submit, list get updated and workflow will initiate and go for the process.
Issue: After the deployment of WF, for first time when user is filling the form and submit, list is getting updated. But the Workflow Goes to "Suspend" mode. (
This Custom Workflow has a configuration file where we are providing other details including ID of Impersonator (farm is running under Claim Based Authentication).
Work flow works fine once when the Impersonator initiate the workflow (Fill the form and submit for approval) and everything works fine after that.
    Following steps are already performed
1.Make sure User profile synchronization is started.
2.Make sure the user is not the SharePoint system user.
3.Make sure the user by whom you are logged is available in User Profile list.
4.Step full synchronization of User Profile Application.
From the ULS logs it seems the user's security token from the STS service and User profile service is not being issued.
    Appreciate any thoughts or solution.
    Following are the log files.

I have the same problem, so i resolve it like :
    1. The user that launch the Workflow instance, is not exist in the profile DataBase.
    2. Connect with this user.
    3. Navigate to Profile Site of this user.
    4. Retry to retake to instance.
    5. You can also verify the Debug table of Workflow Databases, its contains all log errors

  • Error in executing workflow service

    Hi All,
I have followed this blog to consume workflow service and take decisions on workitems. Everything was fine except the last step. When I execute application URL with apply decision i am getting following error.. Please help me to resolve this.
    Thanks,
    Suman

    Hi nabheet madan
I recreated this issue in my system and I was also getting same error.
On further debugging, I found that the error comes from class /IWWRK/CL_WF_READ_WORKITEM in the method READ_ITEM_VALIDATION.
Internal table mt_wi_wapi_agents is read with sy-uname.
This internal table  mt_wi_wapi_agents is getting filed by FM SAP_WAPI_GET_WI_AGENTS in other method within same Class.
I checked with below workflow id which are there in my inbox. 2 are in In Process status and one is in Ready status.
so the items which are in 'In Process' status will get approved as per standard logic. and to make the item which is in Ready status to In process, We need to execute it in SWBP inbox and then need not to approve/reject as mentioned in earlier response.
I do agree with you that even items which are in Ready status should be processed without error but this is how the validation logic is there in standard method.
    Regards,
    Chandra

  • Cannot Start Workflow Service from Service Manager

    Hello Professionals,
I have a problem with starting Workflow service from Service manager,
I have configured all the settings and connection to database was successful.
However, after closing the settings window and try to start the workflow service, i got "Cannot start Service; configuration is not correct or cannot connect to database"
    What may cause this issue?
    Thanks and Best Regards,

    Hi,
    Please check SAP note:
2019304 - Workflow server connection stops if many workflow
instances with script tasks run simultaneously

  • Please help: Workflow service is not connected

This questions is in continuation to my query posted ...see below link
    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/e6a880d4-e252-49bc-8866-f3f959abf23f/do-i-need-to-have-sharepoint-designer-2013-installed-on-sharepoint-2013-production-server-to-create?forum=sharepointgeneral
I noticed that the web application is associated with "Workflow Service Application Proxy" from Central Administration site. However
I do not see Workflow Service application listed in the Manage service applications, but only Workflow service application proxy is listed and when I clicked on this, I see that the workflow is not connected though it shows started.
Also Ran ‘Get-WFFarmStatus’ command to check if the Workflow service is running, and to my surprise it is running.
    Snapshot below:
If I re-register the workflow (used below command), I am getting Register-SPWorkflowService : Failed to register because the farm or partition
is already registered with a workflow service
    Register-SPWorkflowService -SPSite "http://abc" -WorkflowHostUri "http://localhost:12291" -AllowOAuthHttp
I am unaware of this… but now I am doubting if this is creating the problem. I have registered the workflow withhttp://localhost:12291
on my SharePoint server. Should the workflow have DNS entry to register?
Also, we do not have user profile service, so the user profile service & user profile synchronization service are not started. Do I need to start ‘user profile
    synchronization service’ as Nikhil suggested.
Please help me to resolve this issue please.
    Regards,
    DJ

    Hi Rookio,
Based on your description, your workflow service is not connected.
For troubleshooting this issue, I recommend to verify the things below:
    1. Check the workflow management site is starting. If yes, restart the workflow management site.
    2. Check the ULS log to see some information about your problem.
    3. Re-register workflow service with force: Register-SPWorkflowService -SPSite "http://myserver/mysitecollection" -WorkflowHostUri "http://workflow.example.com:12291"
    -AllowOAuthHttp  -force.
    4. Run the PowerShell command to see if the issue still occurs: Enable-SPFeature -Identity WorkflowServiceStore –Url $yourUrl.
Per my knowledge, you do not need to start user profile synchronization service when configuring the workflow manager.
However, the user who deploys and runs a workflow must be added to the User Profile service, so it is recommended to start the user profile service application.

  • "No Service" issue after updating iOS 8.1

My iPhone 5 is really giving trouble after updating all iOS 8.01, iOS 8.02 & iOS 8.1. Cellular network is come to halt, "No Service" issue is regular and i am not able to use my iPhone 5 as phone.
Please help me out else i have to switch to some other phone.

I have similar problem but with a 6:   bought new iPhone 6 four days ago, phone and 3G signal were fine in UK from Sat to Mon.   Yesterday, I traveled to Belgium and have had 'no service' problem since.   I am carrying a Nokia feature phone which is locked on to local network and working fine.
If I power off the iPhone and power on, it comes back and joins the network.   Five or so minutes later, it has dropped the network and will not re-attach if I put in/out of flight mode; needs power reset, and then drops again.
It is conceivable that this is a carrier issue but given that Nokia is fine and all the postings that I'm finding on various discussion sites, then I feel that it is an iOS issue.   I'm booked in to visit the Apple Store at the weekend.   My previous iPhone 4S was running iOS 7 and had no such problems.
So, carrying an expensive brick at the moment and hoping for an iOS update that will resolve this.

  • No service issue and poor battary life on iphone 5?!?!?!?!?1

cmon Apple./I have had my iphone 5 for over a month and keep getting this no service issue,..,the battary is terrible,.wont even last 8 hours with light browsing and I ahve used all the battary saving tricks,.I dont ask for much from this expensive gadget,.I just use it to text call and look at the net,.all three of which I have had problems with from day one!!!!! My iphone 3gs which I had for 3 years never gave me one problem?I have read countless threads on this issue,.please can you sort it out of help or offer a refund,.I am actually wanting to go back to my 3gs its got so bad and I am tired of reading all day to find a solution,.Apple used to just work!!what happened?

Went to apple again. Same problem. Drains 5% an hour on standby with everything shut and airplane mode. They said this is "normal" and REFUSED to replace my phone as the battery health was normal. They say, "The hardware is ok, so we cannot replace the phone". I had them do a full restore from recovery mode. DId not help.
Just to reiterate. I have done EVERYTHING- restore, full restore, shut apps, turned of location services, wifi, network, push mail, BG app refresh and reduced motion and set auto-lock to 1 min. Even auto-brightness is off and screen is at 30% brightness.
Now I am stuck. Poor battery and uncompramising apple. This is perhaps making me anti-apple from an apple fan.
Just wanted to ask, are such usage times and standby times normal? They are much less than what apple claims.

  • IPhone 5 No Service Issue

I posted this in the ATT forums but haven’t heard back.  Thought I would give it a shot here.
Short story – has anyone with an iPhone 5 had “No Service” issues with ATT and been able to fix it?
Long story – A couple of months ago they upgraded the towers to LTE and now the service is horrible.  Whenever my phone switches between LTE, 4G, and E it goes No Service first.  It is constantly switching so I cannot complete a phone call lasting longer than a minute.  It will also sit in No Service for extended periods since the tower upgrade.  I am the only one in the house with an iPhone 5.  The other phones are not experiencing this issue.
Has anyone had a similar problem?   How did you fix it?
I have called multiple times.  I have emailed.  I have chatted.  I have received no help on this issue.  A member of my family plan called them yesterday about this issue.  They said they would call me back on her phone at 7 to troubleshoot my phone.  They never did call.
Additionally, I have other problems since the “upgrades.”  The data usage is way off.  I have used a data counter and ATT is claiming I’m using considerably more than my counter shows.  I have tried to get credits for this but they say we will give you credits after we fix the phone.  They never fix the phone though so I never get the credits.  It’s like some weird Kafkaesque Catch-22.
I am really so sick of the whole situation that I just want to switch to a different carrier.  I don’t want the cancellation fees though and I want to port my numbers.  I would think I wouldn’t be subjected to the fees because the service doesn’t work, but I’m sure there is some weird catch to that as well.
    Thanks for any help

Since you didn't tell what troubleshooting steps you took, if any, do the followning steps:
    1. Reset phone (no data loss): press both home and power buttons for at least 10 seconds, releasing when the Apple logo appears.
    2. Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
    3. Replace SIM card from AT&T
    4. Restore phone in iTunes using a backup
    5. Restore in iTunes as new, without using a backup.
    6. Warranty service from Apple.

  • Question on BPM 11g Workflow Services

    Hi,
There was no out of the box support feature which would enable the end users ( agents ) to fetch a work item one at a time from some queue . This allocation/fetch would be done on the basis of some algorithm ( SLA, Priority etc ) . We developed this custom feature through the APIs provided in BPM 10g - Process API ( aka PAPI ). Now we have to port this custom feature to Oracle BPM 11g and there is no equivalent support for PAPI available in BPM 11g . There is another API - workflow services , but we are not sure if it will support the same feature as we are struggling to get Oracle BPM 11g installed. Request you to kindly help us in identifying if the same functionality can be achieved in BPM 11g.
    Regards,
    CC

    Hi Chandu,
Were you able to close the same? If yes, please help me also...

  • 2013 Workflow Service - Enabled for Other Site Collections

I have setup the 2013 workflow service with our SharePoint environment. This works fine with the site collection originally used to register the workflow service.
The other site collections (in the same web application - we are using host named site collections) cannot see this, and SharePoint designer gives the error: "The option for the SharePoint 2013 Workflow platform is not available because the workflow
service is not configured on the server".
Now as the other site collections are in the same web application, the have the service connection to the "Workflow Service Application Proxy".
I have also seen posts about running a "Enable-SPFeature" command on the other site collections to enable WorkflowService or WorkflowServiceStore but this only returned an error (essentially) saying the futures were already enabled.
Where else can I look to try and diagnose what is wrong or what can I do to allow the other site collections to get access to the 2013 workflow service?
    Thanks,
    Richard

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that the SharePoint 2013 workflow platform not worked in other site collection.
Did you enable the workflow service application proxy? You can enable it as below, then check whether it works.
Whenever a new workflow service application proxy is created in SP2013, by default it will not be associated(service connection) with any web application.
You can go to Central admin site->Manage web applications page -> Select the web app which was registered earlier during configuration and check " workflow service application proxy" and click OK.
Did the workflow platform work in other web application?
If they all not work, I recommend you reconfigure the workflow manager, you can also check the steps with the following articles.

  • Is the Get View  of  Workflow Service really read-only?

    Hi all,
When I dragged 'Get View' from Workflow Services to the workflow panel, its comments says: Get a read-only view, however, I did create a simple workflow to update user's information, using getView instead of checkoutView to fetch user view, it seems the 'Get View' return a updatable user view, here I post part of that workflow, please help me to get it clear!

That is my understanding as well. Technically you can modify Get View and check it back in, but this is bad practice for the reasons stated above (no lock placed on the user). Get View is better used if you need to read information about a user that is unlikely to change, but do not plan on modifying the user (for example: to check to see if the user has a certain LDAP object class which allows them access to some requested resource/activity).

  • How to run "WCF Workflow Service Application" (C# project) using "WCF Test Client" in VS 2013 ?

I have created a WCF Workflow Service Application of C# project.
How to run the project using WCF Test Client directly from VS 2013 by doing F5 ?
Iam using VS 2013 (.NET 4.5.1). It throws an exception to compile c# expressions.
Can we set any settings in web.config file ?
    Please provide the solution.

    Bhanu Prakash T,
It surprises me that building a simple WCF Workflow Service Application project in VS 2013 is giving you this problem. That project template should result in a file with an extension of ".xamlx" being generated. With .Net 4.5 and C#, that XAMLX
file will contain CSharp* activities for the expressions that you specified in the workflow definition. By default, those expressions will be compiled when you use "F5" to execute the workflow.
Or are you self-hosting the WorkflowServiceHost and loading the XAMLX file yourself using ActivityXamlServices.Load and then creating and managing the WorkflowServiceHost object instance yourself? You must can do the compilation yourself by following these
    examples -
    https://connect.microsoft.com/VisualStudio/feedback/details/741537/cannot-self-host-a-workflow-service-using-c-expressions or http://wf.codeplex.com/discussions/444990.
