WorkList application : Tracking tasks

Hi All,
Once we approve or do any action on a task list, it disappears from the worklist app.My query is will a manager be able to track all status of all the tasks assigned to his reportees?Or once a reportee approves a task will the task disappear from the manager's work list app too ?hope I have made myself clear.
Any help would be great...
Thanks

you should be able to adjust the 'status' field of the search criteria to find tasks that are in other than assigned status.

  • Input information in worklist application's task details

    Hi,
    I want to show the input information to the approvers, in the task details of the worklist application
    Can someone help me on this?
    Regards

    Pass the input information to the human task as a parameter.
    Re-generate the simple task form or build a custom task form. This will give you a JSP that the worklist app will use to show the task data including the input data you provided.
    For simple formatting I just create the simple task form and move things around on the JSP as needed.

  • Order Quote Management using Worklist application

    Hi,
    I am trying to assess the best option to implement a Order Quote Management Use Case.
    Use Case:
    1. User creates a list of items and create an order
    2. User selects 3 (or more) Suppliers and submit the order for a quotation
    3. In parallel the Suppliers receive a notification (by email) and access to the Supplier portal.
    4. Each single Supplier can see the order and add the prices / mark items can not deliver.
    5. Each Supplier re-submits the order to the original user.
    6. User can check all the Suppliers' quotes and select the best one.
    I was thinking to use the Worklist applications and Human Task BPEL to perform it.
    This is what I was thinking:
    a. Extend the Worklist application with a customize a webpage where the user can create a items list for quotation.
    b. When the user submit the order for quotation the page will call a ASYNC BPEL (called OrderQuotation).
    c. The BPEL OrderQuotation process will use Human Task BPEL to start a Human Task in parallel with the Suppliers (Supplier will receive a notification by mail using the notification function as well)
    d. We will expose the Worklist application (using Oracle Portal) to the Supplier
    e. Supplier will login in the Worklist application and claim the task
    f. Supplier will modify the order for quotation with price information and will submit back to the supplier the order now quoted.
    g. User will login in Worklist application and he will see a customized page where all the orders are quoted and compared for each supplier.
    Please, let me know:
    1. if this approach can be achieved using the standard functionalities of Worklist application / Human Task interaction in BPEL.
    2. If yes, which Human Task interaction parametrization I should use
    3. If no, let me know what I have to extend in the worklist to achieve it
    4. Or alternative another possible way to achieve it.
    Regards,
    Danny

    Hi,
    I also face the issue to port Worklist in JSP or portal other than using adf.
    I am using SOA 11.1.1.2 and using BPEL and Human workflow. I did a complete flow from JSP ->BPEL->Human worlist. Whenever i
    submit a form values in JSP, it hits BPEL and i am
    getting proper message list in Human worklist and wherein i can able to assign, escalate and delegate tasks.
    Now i need to customize the worklist in Weblogic Portal 10g or to JSP. My requirement now is to port the Worlist default skins to jsp or Portal.
    I also gone through SOA 11g developers guide and in worklist sections but no idea how to implement.
    If any body knows please advise.
    Thanks..

  • How to remove Escalate option for worklist application

    how to remove system action such as escalate in worklist application when task is assigned. In other words i don't want a task to be escalated to supervisor, so i want it not be in drop down.

    The following actions can be restricted:
    Auto Release
    Reassigned
    Escalated
    Renewed
    Info Requested
    After the workflow is created, you can configure restricted actions in the restrictedActions element of the task configuration XML file, as shown in the following code example.
    <taskType ...>
    <task ...>
    <restrictedActions>
    <action>AUTO RELEASE</action>
    <action>ESCALATE</action>
    <action>REASSIGNED</action>
    <action>RENEWED</action>
    <action>INFO REQUESTED</action>
    <action>SUSPENDED</action>
    </restrictedActions>
    </task>
    <notifications>
    </notifications>
    </taskType>

  • Initiate a human task within worklist application

    I got some questions regarding human task and worklist app
    1. Is it possible to initiate a human task within worklist application? For example: jcooper initiate a request for expense straight from his worklist app
    2. I see in jazn configuration. There is a bpm worklist view history role. Where do I access to history of all tasks already ended.
    3. If a task is ended is it possible to bring it back alive?
    Thank you in advance

    Hi,
    Check out the Java API that Oracle provides for the Worklist Application. It allows all sorts of customizations / task interactions. A good starting point is the BPEL Developer's Guide.

  • How to hide custom actions from Oracle Worklist Application (Conceptual)

    Hi,
    I have a conceptual question in relation to Worklist Application and the Oracle Workflow. I will explain, now:
    This is the image that demonstrate the situation (worklist app console): http://i53.tinypic.com/34h9ilw.png
    As you can see, i have 4 custom actions (ENVIAR_ANALISE_FRAUDE, APROVAR, REPROVAR, ENVIAR_ANALISE_NIVEL2) and i have three main regions in the image
    (Action By Menu 1, Action By Menu 2 and Action By Button 3).
    I have to make same custom validations when the user to choose any action, then inside of the JSPX file (Human Task Page Generated), i made the following customizations to reach my objective:
    1) At the Region 2 (Action By Menu 2) - I delete these lines of code to hide the actions:
    <af:group id="g2">
    <af:forEach var="childNode1"
    items="#{actionAvailable.customActions}">
    <af:commandMenuItem textAndAccessKey="#{childNode1.displayName}"
    actionListener="#{invokeActionBean.setAction}"
    action="#{invokeActionBean.action}"
    partialSubmit="false" id="cmi2">
    <f:attribute name="ACTION_MENU_ITEM"
    value="#{childNode1.action}"/>
    </af:commandMenuItem>
    </af:forEach>
    </af:group>
    2) At the Region 3 (Action By Button 3), i change the default action button's to point to my managed bean action and make the required custom validations, in accordance to my requirements. After that i made my validations, i call some lines of code to make with the Oracle Workflow executes your default internal functions when an action is clicked.
    <af:commandToolbarButton actionListener="#{myManagedBean.setOperation}"
    text="Aprovar"
    disabled="#{myManagedBean.isErrorOccurred}"
    action="#{myManagedBean.invokeMyCustomizedOperation}"
    partialSubmit="false"
    visible="#{wf:isCustomActionAvailable('APROVAR', 'bindings.customActions')}"
    id="ctb2">
    <f:attribute name="DC_OPERATION_BINDING" value="bindings.APROVAR"/>
    </af:commandToolbarButton>
    public void setOperation(ActionEvent p1){
    this.acaoSelecionada = (String) p1.getComponent().getAttributes().get("DC_OPERATION_BINDING");
    this.operation = UtilWorkflow.getInstance().getOperationFromHumanTask(this.acaoSelecionada);
    this.operation.execute();
    InvokeActionBean ia = (InvokeActionBean)ADFContext.getCurrent().getRequestScope().get("invokeActionBean");
    ia.setFinalizerJavaScriptName("closeBrowser()");
    ia.invokeScript();
    3) The great problem for me now is the region 1 (Region By Menu 1), this the part of Oracle Worklist Application and i cannot hide this Menu or change anything inside it. If the user click at the 'APROVAR' action, my custom validations will be ignored and the Workflow will approve my task, without intervention of my validations.
    After explaining everything this, here are my questions:
    1) Is this the correct way to work with the Oracle Soa Suite ?
    2) How can i hide the Region 1 (Action By Menu 1) ? Is possible ?
    Thanks,
    Victor Jabur

    Hi,
    I am also in need of hiding or having custom validations for the actions in Region 1. Does anyone have any suggestions? Please help!

  • Difference between BPM Worklist Application & BPM WorkSpace

    Hi
    I'm a newbie to Oracle BPM.
    I want to understand the difference between
    Oracle BPM Worklist APplication (that we use for Human Tasks in SOA : host:port/integration/worklistapp)
    and
    Oracle Business Process Workspace (host:port/bpm/workspace)
    I've done a sample BPM process to which the initiator is jcooper.
    When I deployed the app, I could find the task in Workspace but not in WorklistApp. Why is it?
    I know that one is specifically intended for BPM, but why can't we see the task for jcooper in WorklistApp?
    Also, Can you extend your answer to explain Process Composer too(in this context )?
    P.S. I could not find a post that covers the diff b/w the three at a high level.

    Difference between Oracle BPM Worklist & Oracle BPM Workspace

  • Oracle Worklist Application

    Can we use the worklist application to change the human task configuration ?? Thanks.

    By changing the model you mean that changing the flow and assignees ??No. By changing the model mean changing the definition of the task. For e.g. - changing the structure of the task data.
    But re-routing the task is also possible from Worklist app, right ?? Doesn't that mean changing configuration of the task ??Yes, tasks can be routed (if designed like that)/delegated from Worklist app but it does not mean that you are changing the configuration of the task. By routing/delegating, you are just acting on the task. Similarly you may escalate or suspend a task as well. All these are actually actions, which can be performed on a task.

  • BPEL transaction in custom worklist application

    Hi,
    How can we be sure about transaction while performing actions within worklist client?
    Such an example, we developed an application by using oracle soa suite worklist api's.
    Beside task updating,payload adjustion we need to do some other jobs including business logic in our java client application.
    In such cases, if there is an exception at java code, it doesnt commit to database but bpel integration code performs... Is there any way which you can control all this functions calling within one transaction? I want to rollback all if you come up with an exception.
    I found an xml attribute which you need to configure in wf client config.xml, we use RMI for performing actions...
    participateInClientTransaction true
    How does it work?
    Thanks for help,
    Regards...

    Hi,
    Every release of soa suite may have an updated version of the worklist application. So if you customize the application and upgrade your soa suite installation there may be ar risk you get into problems. However, most of the time the updated version solves existing bug and no more than that. An other issue is that if you are using the bpel libraries to connect to a bpel server the client always needs to be of the same version as the server. What you should do is:
    - get the new 10.1.3.3 version of the libraries or install JDeveloper 10.1.3.3
    - update your orabpel.properties file and make sure the bpel home is pointing to the new version
    - update/verify the build.xml that it is pointing to the new libraries
    - rebuild/compile your customized worklist app against the new libraries
    - redeploy the new worklist application to the 10.1.3.3 server
    Kind Regards,
    Andre

  • 11gR1 - Personalizing BPM Worklist application

    Hello All,
    We are using Oracle 11g R1 BPM Worklist application. As per our business requirement, we would like to hide some of the items/regions/tabs in the worklist application. Example, we want only My Tasks tab, all other tabls should be hidden. Similarly, we would like to remove/hide defualt worklist views such as My Work Queues. Also these changes needs to be reflected to all the users. We tried using User Preferences, which modifies the preferences only at the logged in user level. Changes are not being reflected to all the other users. I could not find any document on admin level personalizations which will be applied to all the users.
    Any pointers/help are very much appreciated. These changes are our go-live stoppers.
    Thanks
    Annadurai.

    I am still looking for a solution. Any pointers would be really helpful.
    Thanks
    Annadurai.

  • Rules created in worklist application don't execute

    Hi all,
    i am using BPEL 10.1.3,
    i created a simple rule in the worklist application to reassign all the tasks of jcooper to jstein, the rule is active (a green light is displayed in the Active column) but the task is still assigned to jcooper,
    is there anything else to do in order for the rule to be executed?
    thanks in advance

    There is a bug already logged for this issue and Development Team will start working on this.
    Its also the same when 'delegate' is used to reassign some tasks from one user to another.
    e.g.
    If jcooper is leaving the organization , his taks needs to be delegated to jstein.
    But , delegating the tasks do not get assigned to jstein (confirming by logging in with jstein).

  • Error in worklist application

    I am trying to cutomize worklist application.
    I have deployed the customapp under integration/customapp
    When I log in, Task list is displayed in the home page without actions in drop down
    When I click on Task Details the following error is getting displayed :
    ORABPEL-10207
    Error in retrieving task properties.
    Error in retrieving task properties because because business process "BPELProcess1" version "1.0" that created the task is either undeployed or turned off in the domain "default"
    If the process is undeployed, the task is stale. If the process was turned off, the task properties can be retrieved when the process state is turned on.

    Do I need to configure some thing some where ??

    Hi Clemens,
    I have been trying to struggle for quite few days in respect of my input XSD details not appearing in the worklist applciation. Though the jsp appears, but its empty.
    I did all steps properly. copying input XSD to initiate task payload etc.
    What might be the reason?
    My second question is quite similar to BPEL Workflow. I have an input XSD with 6 complex types. (being generatd using db adapter from a proc having 6 in table types.).
    When i generate a default autogenerated task form, its source shows me all red marks, meaning, it's not valid. It's not able to validate td and input tags. I included few jars for the same but in vain.
    My quesiton is do I need to do something extra for this to make happen? Also, does BPEL PM 10.1.3.1 supports autogenerated task form with these so many complex types?
    Awaiting ur response at the earliest. I am just in end of a major production release.
    Rgds,
    Nikhil

  • Sending anyType payload to Worklist Application

    Hi guys ...
    I m stuck with a problem ...
    1. I have a BPEL process A which calls another BPEL Proess B which has a Human Task in it
    2. The Payload from A is of anyType depending upon diffrnt conditions.
    3. When Process B receives the payload from process A it is also anyType...
    4.Is there any way how i can show this payload in the worklist Application?
    Any suggestion is appreciated
    Thank You

    Hi Madhu,
    Well I am not sure the training will come soon enough to get me through this first project we are using BPEL on, but later is better than never, especially with a tool that has so many options to offer. As far as the information for the Worklist URL, I need to get my hostname. I know the port will stay the same, but the host name will change as the process is deployed from Dev, to Test, to Production, so in the link that you gave me (which is working very well, i might add), where you had "localhost:8888", I hard coded in the place of localhost, the server name for my development system (but that will change from system to system), and the port that we are using. I can write a DB Adapter to get that information, but I was hoping maybe there was a pre-defined function or something I could use in the expression builder to retrieve this. Hope what I am asking makes sense.
