Workshop under Linux: HTML/JSP visual edtiting?

I guess under win32 they use IE control. How about mozilla engine under linux?
In case is not available at least it should be visible
in release/requirements notes.
I hoped,at least in SP4 after so many months/years,
something to appear! But I guess SPs are just are
just Sanitizing and Purification ;-)
Dan.

augustobacellar,
The Visual Editor in JDeveloper 11 functions in much the same way it did in 10g. We use a page flow method of layout, not absolute positioning. This adheres to the container style model of layout provided by the JSF and allows JDeveloper to support Visual rendering for an array of component sets. Both the absolute positioning Visual Editors relay on one specific proprietary component set and do not support this style of visual development for other components. Thus, to adhere to our mantra of choice we chose a more robust approach.

  • How to bring Login.jsp under a html frame ?

    hi all.
    I have customized the Login.jsp and actually have lot of static content to be displayed in our proposed entry page.
    I decided to use Html frames - something like the one below.
    When i point on the frame to the Login.jsp ( i referred it as 'amserver/UI/Login') --> it loads all frames then redirects the page to the /amserevr/UI/Login -> the Login.jsp now occupies the entire screen and i c none of the html frames..
    any idea how to bring in the portal Login.jsp under a html frame ?
    Thanks
    Vee
    <html>
    <frameset noresize="noresize" frameborder=0 rows="25%,70%,5%">
    <frame frameborder=0 noresize="noresize" src="/amserver/UI/Login" name="banner_frame" scrolling=no>
    <frameset frameborder=0 noresize="noresize" cols="30%,70%">
    <frame frameborder=0 src="./images/menus.gif" name="menu_frame" scrolling=no>
    <frame frameborder=0 src="./images/content.gif" name="content_frame" scrolling=no>
    </frameset>
    <frame frameborder=0 src="./images/copyright.gif" name="copyright" scrolling=no>
    </frameset>
    </html>

    is it possible to write jsp code or javascript code inside this Login.jsp ?
    I got a bunch of content - menu driven to displayed additional to the identity server login module.

  • Exception in html parser under Linux

    Hi all,
    Following code is copied from Tech Tip 23Sep1999. I have compiled it and run it under Win98. It works fine for any uri. However, when I try to run it under Linux, it throws exceptions. I noticed that some web site can be parsered with the program in Linux but some can't. I wonder the different between those platforms. Anyone can tell me how to make the program works under Linux.

  • Opening a Powerpoint in JSP and run under Linux

    Hi,
    I need to have a JSP page that provides a link to open a powerpoint file and this JSP is to be run under Linux. When I try to click on the link in Linux to open the powerpoint, it gives me a lot of junk characters. Can somebody please help mi, thanks a million!

    You have the mimetype for the HTTP response set to something other than what will make the browser start a powerpoint viewer and direct the content of the HTTP response to it.
    In your jsp use the setHeader(String key,String key) method to set the value of "Content-Type" to the mimetype for powerpoint.
    Of course the users must have browsers that are configured to launch a powerpoint viewer or plug-in. If you provide the correct mimetype and peoples browsers desn't have this, then they will get the "save to file" dialog box.

    <QUESTION>
    I have a problem with creating a separate working directory for Weblogic
    Commerce Server where I can do development. These are the errors that I
    can when I try to access a particular portal,
    I have created a separate user account for this purpose while all the
    main Weblogic stuff are still under /usr/local/weblogic and
    /usr/local/weblogicac. I can access individual jsp pages through
    absolute URL but then I use a portal name to access the portal, it
    throughs those exceptions. Does anyone have similar experience when
    trying to create a separate development environment using the same
    installation and license? Do you have to do a new installation?</QUESTION>
    <ANSWER>
    Theoretically, the working directory JSP for the portal implementation that
    tells the portal framework where to find your portal pages and the BEA
    WebLogic Portal pages.(This page is qualified from yourDocumentRoot as
    defined in the weblogic.properties file.)
    Example: workingdir=/portals/myPortal/
    You need to register the new working Dir in Weblogic.Properties files and
    restart your Application Server after you create your new working Dir.
    It is not easy to say with the situatrion that you described. Please check
    the link http://edocs.beasys.com/wlac/portals/docs/portal.htm#getting for
    details to create working Dir step by step. It may meet your needs. You may
    also check http://www.weblogic.com/docs/admindocs/properties.html#jsp for
    further information about JSP working Dir setting.
    Please try it again and post the result if it's possible.
    Thanks

  • Cannot install JMF under Linux Mandrake 10

    I simply cannot install JMF under the Mandrake 10 Official Linux distribution. I downloaded the jmf-2_1_1e-linux-i586.bin file and tried to execute it as root. It unzipped some files then showed me an error message about AWT and GTK+. I found a hack consisting of modifying the .bin file to have the PATH variable point to SUN JDK, the error does not show up, but the installation still does not work. In fact, the installation works, but the Diagnostics applet keeps telling me than class files are not present. My Mozilla 1.6 Java plugin is working and displaying the applet. My JMF lib directory does not contain sound.jar, such jmf.jar. I set the CLASSPATH and LD_LIBRARY_PATH according to the readme.html file. I would like to know if it is a compatibility problem with Mandrake 10, the 2.6 kernel or if JMF just DO NO work under Linux. In the latter case, JMF is a violation to the Java portability philosophy and I would never use it on my own initiative, just if I were asked to.
    After the files are unzipped, I have the following warning and error messages.
    Warning:
    Name: HorScrollBar
    Class: XmScrollBar
    The specified scrollbar value is greater than the maximum
    scrollbar value minus the scrollbar slider size.

    java.lang.Error: Can't open video card 8
    java.lang.Error: Can't open video card 9
    Done.
    Even if I do not have a working video capture card (I have an ATI All-in-Wonder 128 but it is not working under 2.6 kernel), JMF should work because some people do not have a video capture card. I also tried with the cross-platform ZIP file, but this one does not contain sound.jar either and the Diagnostics applet keeps complaining about missing class files. I tried to search on the Web for solutions to this problem or for a way to change the CLASSPATH used by the Mozilla Java plug-in (if it uses a different CLASSPATH than the one from the environment variable), but nothing, nothing. Is there a distribution from which JMF would work better than Mandrake 10? Or can JMF work only under Microsoft Windows or Sun Solaris? I also tried Blackdown, but a README file directed me to the Sun's page, nothing to download here about JMF.

    well, your not the only one.
    I have it working in Debian, and JDS.(JMF is setup automatically in JDS).(2.6.6 kernel)
    I looked at the installation structure of JDS, and was able to duplicate what they did for Debian.
    Maybe it will work for Mandrake two??
    ok, all you have to do is copy or create soft links from your Mozilla directory, just like you did with the java plugin, and link to all the *.so files in JMF-2.1.1e/lib directory.
    Should work.
    I also read that not haveing the native files only matters if you are doing Capture. not play.
    to get your ATI All-in-Wonder 128 to work, make sure you install the correct driver, and have it working under linux, then try it in JMSTUDIO

  • How to output executable Bin file under linux from java

    Hi
    im beginner in java under linux and i want to out put my java programs to be bin files that can run
    if this not possilble
    how to run the output jar files with just double click ?
    does i have to run sh file that do the hob how?
    thanks in advance.

    say your main method (application's entry point) is located in a class com.my.Class,
    then first you create a text file (say, manifest.txt) that contains this line:
    Main-Class: com.my.Class
    [/code}
    and then you append this to the jar's manifest as such:
    jar cfm yourjarfile.jar manifest.txt [additional files you might want to add]

  • Forms compilation Errors under Linux

    Hello,
    I have a main form called Tbdoctrk.fmb.
    This forms compiles and runs perfectly through Oracle 9i iDS.
    When transfering the fmb file under Linux, and attempting to recompile using the f90genm.sh utility, I get the following compilation errors:
    FRM-18108: Failed to load the following objects.
    FRM-30436: Parent window not specified for canvas.View Canvas H_TOOLBAR
    FRM-30041: Position of item places it off of canvas.
    Item: BUTTON_HELP
    Block: VARIABLE
    Form: TBDOCTRK
    FRM: Unable to adjust form for output.
    ====
    I noticed that most of the object that failed to load (1 data block object, 1 canvas and a number of property classes and visual attributes) are contained in a file called TOOLBAR.fmb.
    The TOOLBAR.fmb file compiles without errors under Linux/WIndows + is located in the same folder as the Tbdoctrk.fmb file.
    1) How can I resolve this issue ?
    PT
    PS: I tried renaming the fmb files to upper/lower case without success.

    Hello,
    My main form called Tbdoctrk.fmb in turn calls a form called Pre_bord.fmb in a Program Unit.
    Most but not all Class and Value Attributes are included in a file called toolbar.fmb. I did not find any specific reference to the toolbar.fmb file.
    However, at compile time, I find that those objects are not loaded.
    1) In what part of the main form Tbdoctrk.fmb should I find any such reference to the toolbar.fmb file ?
    2) How should I create those symbolic links under Linux ?

  • Crash (SIGSEGV, SIGILL) of 32bit Hotspot under Linux x86_64 in VMware

    Hello!
    A reproducible crash of these 1.6 32 bit Java VMs is hinderung my application from starting when I want to start it under a x86_64 Linux kernel in VMware (Workstation and ESX):

    Tested using there kernels:
    - Linux debian 2.6.18-6-amd64 #1 SMP Sun Feb 10 17:50:19 UTC 2008 x86_64 GNU/Linux

    Sproradic but reproducible JVM (Hotspot) crashes while running a simple garbage collector stress application several times in parallel. hs_err files are generated each time. However, the "Problematic frame" address and library changes every time!
    Examples:
    # Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (10.0-b22 mixed mode, sharing linux-x86)
    # Problematic frame:

    # C [libnss_compat.so.2+0x2e16] nsscompat_getpwnam_r+0x46
    VM state:synchronizing (normal execution)
    The problem only appears using JDK or JRE 1.6 32 bit edition on a Linux 2.6 x86_64 kernel in VMware. Tests using real hardware, using a i686 kernel and using JDK / JRE 1.6 64 bit edition or JDK / JRE 1.5 (32 bit and 64 bit) could not reproduce the crashes.
    Questions:
    - Is there a general stability problem when starting the 32 bit Java VM under Linux 64?
    - Does anybody have similar problems with
    - Java VM 32bit under Linux 64?

  • Remember site under linux

    In which file camera access settings for site are saved under linux?
    Have suspect that smth wrong with them, because for both
    http://mailvu.com/testCamera/TestYourWebCam.html
    http://www.testwebcam.com/
    i've got error while trying to remeber my allow setting for those sites.

    Typically, it's /etc/adobe/mms.cfg, but it depends on your distro.
    It's worth pointing out that the NPAPI version of Flash Player for Linux is nearing it's end of life.  We only provide security updates at this point, and no new feature work is being incorporated into the Linux player.
    The PPAPI version of Flash Player, which works in Chrome on Linux *is* actively maintained.  We'd recommend that you upgrade to Chrome, which will automatically install the latest version of the player, and keep it up-to-date.
    If you're still experiencing issues with the PPAPI Flash Player in Chrome, we'd like to investigatate more and potentially get a bug filed.

  • Vhost configuration for Adobe Media Server running under linux.

    Please help me with Vhost configuration for Adobe Media Server running under linux.
    I was running a media sharing website for which I wanted to use Adobe Media Server.
    To use, AMS, I disabled the already installed Apache server and installed AMS along with the built in Apache server. I could successfully install AMS and could login to AMS Admin Console through my IP number.
    My existing website, www.mydomain.com is having its contents located at:
    /home/mydomain/public_html
    (Directory created under the old version of Apache not bundled with AMS)
    Users will be uploading their videos, which will get transcoded and will be delivered to the website visitors in the existing scenario.
    To use this website with AMS, this is what I did:
    I created a folder for my domain, www.mydomain.com as below
    /opt/adobe/ams/conf/_defaultRoot_/www.mydomain.com
    Copied Application.xml and Vhost.xml from /opt/adobe/ams/conf/_defaultRoot_/   and pasted them in /opt/adobe/ams/conf/_defaultRoot_/www.mydomain.com
    In the Application.xml file there are 2 entries:
    <Alias name="mydomain.com"></Alias>
    <AppsDir>${/home/mydomain/public_html}</AppsDir>
    Please help me with further steps to be completed:
    Do I need to create a separate VirtualHost entry in the Apache installed with AMS?
    If yes, can I specify already existing document root for my website (/home/mydomain/public_html) or do I need to create a separate folder under webroot/Apache ?
    If yes to point 2 above, then do I need to copy all the existing contents from /home/mydomain/public_html to the newly created folder ?
    I hope, I can serve all my static contents like html pages and php and media like video/audio. In that case do I need create alias to my Media/Alias folder or AMS will automatically start streaming when a video/audio is requested ?
    What other steps do i need to complete?
    Any help in this regard would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks and Regards

  • HTTPS upload failed under Linux Error #2038

    HI,
    we're developing  Flex based framework, focusing on, among the others, file upload. Everything is fine and works well for the browsers Opera, Firefox, Chrome under the Windows/Mac OS/Linux in the http mode. Unfortunately in https we are unable to upload files, using the same application under Linux ( all browsers fail with that ).
    The result is as follows:
    I've found a similar looking bug here:
    https://bugbase.adobe.com/index.cfm?event=bug&id=2980517
    but it differs from our case since we're experiencing that problem only under Linux ( all browsers in their latest versions ). I tried both the latest Flash plugin ( stable ) and the 11 bet version. The same effect.
    I would be gratefull for any hints on that. If there will be a need I can arrange a demosite with an application to perform some tests. I'm not excatly sure wheter this forum is the right place to ask for such issue, if not please point me to the correct place.
    Regards,
    Piotr

                    file.addEventListener( Event.COMPLETE, uploadComplete );
                    file.addEventListener( IOErrorEvent.IO_ERROR, ioError );
                    try
                        //file.upload( new URLRequest( serverURL ) );
                        //fileUpload.upload( new URLRequest( serverURL ) );
