Would an apple store help?

If I took my ipod to get it checked out because my ipod doesnt have a driver so its no longer recognized by my computer?

The problem is on the computer, not the iPod.
Try this -> iPod missing in "My Computer" or in iTunes for Windows

  • IPad1 S/N and IMEI unknown at Apple Store, help?

I need your advice on an iPad1 that refuses to activate after a recent reset.
    Background:
iPad was reset the other day, then hung on the activation, stating the activation servers were not responding.  Kept trying assuming it was a problem with overloaded activation server.  Took device to Apple Store Genius Bar, he was stumped.  He searched for serial number and IMEI in his repair database, and it didn't find any records of those numbers.  Doing a serial number search on the warranty check webpage results in normal output - that the purchase date is known and the device is out of warranty.  Genius recommended I email SelfServe to ask a ticket be escalated to a group that could manually add the serial number to the update server.
I am going to do that, but I thought I would ask here first as the genius was just guessing.
    Anyone see this issue before?
    Thanks:
If it helps, here are the original numbers:
    SN#: gb0430ldhp3
    IMEI: 012326007209047

    More followup, closer to solution.
Took iPad to Apple store to ask Genius to open incident for me, as I am unwilling to pay incident charge just to activate my working hardware.
Got to see the same Genius from other day, he decided to call Apple, talked with Software support, escalated to a supervisor.
Found out the device originally started out as a demo iPad for an ATT store.  Something happened in their system recently to put the SN and IMEI into an inactive status - thereby not letting it access the iTunes store to activate.  Currently I have an Apple ticket open so an engineer can re-enable the serial number.
    Keep you posted.

  • Apple store help

just downloade the Maverick a few days ago.. I dont think I said yes to some pop ups that were asking for permissions, but am not sure..
now I can't open up any of the Mac's system apps that came with my IMAC
the apple store, calender, reminders, preview grab,IMessaging.. so how can I fix this does anyone know.. I can not connect to the apple store and its the only way to do anything for the MAC...
is there anyway to fix my problems, I cant be the only one... how do I get some real help...please...Rain

The retail stores carry the game, I'm unsure why the online store doesn't offer it. Of the 5 retail stores I've visited in the past 3 months, all of them carry the game. Another option, especially if you've got a fast connection would be to buy it via Gametreeonline.com
It's the same price $39.99 that the retail stores sell it for and I've purchased games through them before with nothing but positive feedback. Just make sure to backup the .dmg file that's download or burn it to a DVD (it's about 3.5GB).

  • Apple store help please

Ok thanks in advance to anyone that will help me...
I bought a mac book pro with many accesories from the online canadian apple store 2 weeks ago that came up to over 4 000 dollars...I have received it and im moore then happy with it.
But then now,ive seen many things on the Online US apple store that i realy cant find on the canadian apple store.I realy want those things(hard drive, mac cleaning kit...etc),all that get to another 300 us.
But its seems like i cant buy from US online apple store and deliver in canada,i ever called apple to ask whats up about it and he said(your in canada you buy from the canada apple store).
There is a way for me to buy those products and get apple to deliver it to me ?
Some brand might dont want to garanty their product for people living in canada,i understand but thats not the reason why they wouldnt be delivering those product in canada...
This is still a ground delivering,i mean im not in iraq there,im living just a couple of hours away from the lines between us and canada...
I wouldnt be buying for only 75 us there,i would be buying for over 300 us...So i think apple should still consider a free delivery and even if they wouldnt,i would be whilling to pay a lil moore to get the delivery done!
The costumer support from apple been pretty straight to the point even close of being rude from my point of view.Thats frustrating to see many many moore product available for us than canadian when we are super close of each other...
    My final point is...
I even ordered a simple cap of not even 70 dollar value from a us store, they still have delivered pretty fast and for low price without any kind of problem...
Plus would apple just refused to make over an easy 300 us on me just because im in canada?

    Baby boomer,
Look, are you an admin?no so can you please be quiet and leave the place to people that are realy willing to help other people?
As i said in the first place,i tried to find where i could post this other than in (using your mbp) but i didnt found any specific place for it.If this forum dont allow me to say stuff like i said then it should have been deleted days and days ago by the forum admin.
Honnestly i am realy annoyed by people like you,if you dont like my post then just dont read it.Its not your forum and i dont see how by posting this here i could be bothering you.
    In short my question was:
How can i buy stuff that are for sale on the american online apple store that arent on the canadian one?
If not then there is any way for me to get those products in canada?
I dont see what is soo wrong in that guys...
And i still find it pretty weird that (as an exemple) iklear is for sale on the american online apple store but not on the canadian one...But if you go buy the iklear directly from the brand that make this product, you can easily ship it to canada...
Plus,as we can read on the apple store(iKlear is the only cleaner Recommended by Apple Tech Support and used by Apple Care).Im i the only one to think its unfair that costumer from canada that buy the so costfully mbp cant even get what is recommended by apple to clear it up?
Another funny thing, what is on the french canadian online apple store are not the same thing as on the english canadian apple store.
Im new in apple/mac world,im totaly sold to mac now and i love apple products. But i got to admit that this have realy disapointed me.
So in the end,to get what i wanted from the american online apple store,i had to order many things from the english canadian apple store and then look on google during many hours to find the best store that could sell/ship me the rest of the things that i couldnt get from apple.

  • Can the Apple Store help me?

I had just bought my iPhone last friday and the bottom left corner makes a creeking noise everytime i push down on it. The other corners are solid but im positive the black antenna on the back must be loose, which is why it makes a noise everytime i apply pressure to that part of the phone. So my real question is can the new apple store in my area do anything, or will i jus have to live with this?
    Thank You

If they don't want to help, you can always return it and get a new one

  • Would using Apple TV help me?

I need help to solve my problem with using a HDTV,  PS3, Cable Box, and a Bose 3-2-1 system together.
The sound does not come thru the Bose while using the PS3 to play games, watch Blu Ray movies or Netflix.  Also, there is no picture if I try to use the Bose to watch a DVD.
Help!  Would Apple TV help me?  I do have a MacBook Pro, an ipad, and iphone 4 and love, love , love, Apple products.
Oh.....also there is a wireless router/modem that is connected to the cable box for WiFi in the house.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Unfortunately an Apple TV will not help with the problems you have described. How do you connect your devices (PS3, Cable box) to the reciever and TV.

  • I'm trying to buy a book. The book is made in I-Photo and when I push buy book button it starts to process and than says--  There was a problem communcating wit the apple store   " help"

I'm trying to buy a book I made in I-photo. I have made a 20 page book in I-photo and when I push the "buy book" button it starts to process and then pops up a sign that say'es There was a problem commucating with the apple store. Please try again.   Help

Are you buying from the correct Print Products Store?  If you are using the wrong store, your AppleID may not be valid.
Is the Print Products Store set correctly in iPhoto Preferences > Advanced?  It should be set to the  same country as your billing address and delivery address, and match the settings of the Apple ID you are using.
And you are using iPhoto '09 or '11, right?  you can no longer buy books from earlier versions.
When you reenter your settings as LarryHN described, don't forget to enable Express Checkout. It is required.

  • If I buy a new MacBook Air will the Apple Store help me transfer everything from my old MacBook Pro?

Will Apple help to copy over all the settings, apps, programs, files, etc. from an old MacBook Pro 15" on OS X 10.6.8 to a new MacBook Air 15"?  Will it work easily and painlessly?  Will they help me set it back to factory once everything is copied so that it can be sold or given to someone else?  Will they charge for this?
I want to get the new MacBook Air 13".
The current 15" 2.53 GHz MacBook Pro Mid 2009 has the following specs and OS:
    Mac OS X version 10.6.8
    Model Identifier: MacBookPro5,4
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
    Processor Speed: 2.53 GHz
    Number Of Processors: 1
    Total Number Of Cores: 2
    L2 Cache: 3 MB
    Memory: 4 GB
    Bus Speed: 1.07 GHz
    Boot ROM Version: MBP53.00AC.B03
    SMC Version (system): 1.49f2
    Serial Number (system):
    Hardware UUID:
    Sudden Motion Sensor: Enabled
According to Apple's serial number identifier it's this: https://support.apple.com/kb/SP544
    Thanks.

    You sure about this? https://www.apple.com/why-mac/better-support/
"Purchase a One to One membership at the same time you get your new Mac from an Apple Retail Store, and you won’t have to spend hours transferring all your stuff. Just bring in your old PC, and we’ll do it for you. A Specialist will move all your files — email, contacts, music, photos, documents, calendar, desktop items — and make sure everything is exactly where it should be. One to One costs just $99, and it includes a year’s worth of one-hour, face-to-face training sessions. It’s like getting a head start before you start."
This is really disappointing.  Buy a $3,000 computer from them and then buy another one for $1,000+ and all they want to do is screw you over, nickle and dime you and price gouge you on setting it up.

  • Can the actual Apple store help u to change ur security questions?

Hey guys, I can't remember my security questions and I don't feel like calling Apple Support. Can I just go into the store and a technician can help me to change it there and then? Because calling is sometimes stressful (I did it with Skype once, and the connection was too slow).

You need to call Apple Support.
Forum tip: if you mark your post solved, people who are willing to help are less likely to look at your thread. So, don't mark it solved until it really  is. On this volunteer, user-to-user forum, you sometimes have to wait longer than 15 minutes for a reply.
    Best of luck.
Edit: The store might be able to put you on the phone with Applecare.

  • I have a late 2006 Macbook and the screen is very loose. It is now a "vintage product" so would I still be able to get it fixed at the apple store?

My late 2006 white Macbook screen is very loose and the hinge needs to be tightened, but my laptop is now "vintage" so would the apple store be able to fix it or would I have to send it in??

See the tutorials from ifixit.com,you can try to repair it yourself if you are not afraid to take it apart.

  • Need to install Snow Leopard--seems complicated.  Can I pay Apple store to do it?

While I'm mostly a right brain  type (writer), I can still do a lot of semi-geeky on my Mac Book Pro and even recently figured out how to rescue my mother's iMac from the "death screen" by using some keyboard shortcuts after unplugging all her cords. (After that feat of techno-heroism I was immediately written back into her will.)
Having said THAT, for some reason, the idea of installing a new operating system myself freaks me out.  I have this fear that my 4-year-old MacBook Pro is going to crash, or something almost as bad will happen. (Yes, of course, I would back it up first.)
Every "guide" I read about installing Snow Leopard starts out simple, then it starts to look complicated.  "If you want this, then don't do this..." If you don't want this, then do this..." etc.
Also, I may not even be able to do it anyway as my DVD drive doesn't work anymore. Won't I need that to work anyway--or a tech person for that matter--in order to be able to install the installtion disc?
OR WILL I NEED TO GET THE DRIVE FIXED FIRST?  DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW MUCH THAT WILL COST TO GET THIS FIXED?
At this point, I would be willing to pay someone $50 to do it (a pro of course).  Can I pay an Apple store tech person to install it for me? At the same time they can run a diagnostic and maybe figure out a way for me to remove duplicate files and all that junk that I have filling up up my hard drive.
I need to do this ASAP because I am limited in my speed in selling on eBay (I also sell vintage and designer clothes) because I can't bulk list upload, etc.
Please, can someone help?  Would an Apple store do this for me if I paid them?  I would have more peace of mind if they did it.
    Thanks!

After posting my concern/question, especially in regards to the optical drive, I read this on this forum:
    Jul 11, 2011 5:21 AM
I would like to update my macbook pro from Tiger to Snow Leopard, but my optical drive is not working. Can I take my macbook pro into the apple store and have them install it via a portable drive?
MacBook Pro, Optical drive is no longer working
Another poster replied, "Yes, I believe they will."
Is this true? Can someone verify this?  Any idea of cost?  I really don't need my optical drive.  Besides, end of year, I'm getting a new Mack Book Pro.

  • HT201363 Forget the restriction pass code, can the apple store send to me to reopen and change the code?

Can apple store help me to send back the old pass code, then I can change to a new one for safety!
    Thanks!

    Hello KKchristks,
It sounds like you need to reset your Restrictions passcode. According to the following article, you will need to restore your iPhone as a new device:
    iOS: Understanding Restrictions (parental controls)
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4213
If you lose or forget your Restrictions passcode, you will need to perform a factory restore to remove it.
If you are not referring to a Restictions passcode, would you elaborate on the passcode you are attempting to reset?
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Regards,
    Sterling
