WRED Maximum-threshold's default value

The above-said value, according to docs is 40. Should it not be 100?
Why would we want to tail-drop when Average-Queue-Size reaches 40 % of maximum queue size, should it not be 100%?

For more information on WRED and its working please refer the following document.

  • Travel Management-Receipt Maximum rates and Default values

    Hi
I need some help on one of the issue we are facing in Travel Management. We are expected to Go-live very soon.
We are unable to apply a very basic check of receipt maximum amount at
the receipt entry in the portal for travel expenses. This functionality
is very much provided by SAP in the backend configuration but it is not working in the backend also in our Development system.
This is concerning the maximum and default amounts in
View V_T706B2 are related to the IMG
"Define Influence of Control Parameters: Receipt Maximum Rate"
I have analysed the table entries but could not
    get the desired solution.
In the meanwhile based on SAP note: 808437-Warning message when max
rate is exceeded negative value, we looked into the code and found that
the code for checking the maximumum amounts is "commented" in the
lastest SP32 SAP HR version in the DEVELOPMENT system we are working
    on.
I also looked into (SAP Note: 1114398---Country and Region when
reading maximum amounts and defaults) and have found that the
correction suggested in this note may already be applied as our D35
System EA_HR patch level is already SAPK-60211INEAHR and Note
correction in SAPK-60203INEAHR is of old level, hence we have not applied this correction.
Furthermore I have checked and found that in our IDES system these checks
for Maximum amounts and defaults are working fine. The IDES system is
at level 0002 and highest support package is SAPKE60002.
    Many thanks in advance !
    Ritesh

    Hi Ritesh:
We had a situation in which our expense types require both a warning message and request for additional information when the maximum is exceeded. We were told that ECC6.0 can handle only one action per expense type/amount. In our old system, R4.6C, it could handle multiple actions per amount for a receipt type.
I am not sure if this is your issue - having multiple actions for a expense type/amount combination.
We got around this by leaving one action at the expected amount and setting the other to 0.01 lower.

  • Search help: default value for 'Maximum no of hits'

    Hello,
I have a request from a user to change the default value for maximum number of hits in the search help.
    Any quick hint?
    Regards,
    Michal

Not sure if this is possible and don't have a SAP system available at the moment ...
    But check this out...
Is there anything in user profile ..
or check if the number of hits field has a PARAMETER ID associated with it...
Then in that case you might default a value other than 500 in your user profile.
    Cheers,

  • SQLLDR - how to set a default value for an empty string

I'm using SQLLDR to load data from a flat file on Oracle 10g 10.2.0.4 EE, Linux RHEL 4 update 6. Seems like my question is simple, but darned if I can't find the solution.
My source file (comma delimited extracted form a different RDBMS) has some (not all) rows where the output for a string is "", and not NULL. How do I check for empty string and add a default value in the control file? The target column is non-nullable
Here's my current control file - however, the column attributeName where sometimes the source record is "" does not get evaluated as NULL.

  • Set default value with mouse click?

    Hi guys,
I'm new enough to LabVIEW, and indeed this forum, so I hope you can help. I'm guessing it's a simple problem, but I can't figure out how to do it.
I've got a cRIO taking in 4 analog voltages. Each voltage is from a linear potentiometer which is measuring suspension displacment on a Formula Student race car.
I have a simple formula set up to convert input voltage to displacment. I've set up a table of inputs which allows me to set maximum, minimum,(from previous sensor calibration) and "stationary" value of each sensor.
The "stationary" value is what the sensor should be reading when the car is stopped. This is then used as a baseline for either positive or negative displacments.
My problem is that each time a different driver gets in the car, the susspension is adjusted, or fuel is added, the "stationary" value will be different. I then have to manually set the stationary value back to whatever the current value is when the car is stopped, press "make current value default", and save the VI before continuing.
What I would like, is a "calibrate" button which I can press that sets the "stationary" value to whatever the current input voltage is. This way, I wouldn't have to reset 4 values each time the car is modified.
If you have any ideas on how to do this, please let me know.
I'll attach my VI once I get back to the laptop where it is saved!
    Thanks,
    Kevin Irving
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Kevin,
As you have discovered you cannot change the default values on a running VI.
The best way to do what you want is to use a configuration file.  There is a set of VIs specifically designed for that purpose on the File I/O palette.  When the user presses the "calibrate" button, the values are saved to the file. When the program starts it reads the file and sets the controls to the values in the file.  You can even keep different sets for each driver, if the data is consistent enough.
Read the detailed help files for the configuration VIs and look at the examples.  These will show you how to get started.

In config, there is something called a rounding profile which I think will help you achieve what you want. Here is the path to the config task.
Implementation Guide for R/3 Customizing (IMG)
    -->Logistics - General
-->Quantity Optimizing and Allowed Logistics Units of Measure
          -->Maintain Rounding Profile
Here is the documentation related to that task.
    <i>Maintain Rounding Profile
In this step you define rounding profiles for adjusting units of measure to match delivery or transport units.
Rounding profiles can be maintained on a general or plant-specific basis. General maintenance is recommended as this requires you to enter less data.
A distinction is made between static and dynamic rounding profiles.
A static rounding profile comprises the following:
    Threshold value
    Rounding value
The threshold value is the value from which the system rounds up to the next delivery quantity.
The rounding value is the value to which the system rounds up as soon as the threshold value has been reached.
Several combinations of threshold and rounding values can be defined for rounding profiles.
No logistics units of measure are taken into account with static rounding profiles. This means that the system rounds up statically to the rounding values entered in the profile and not to "full pallets", for example.
Dynamic rounding profiles comprise the following:
    Rounding method
    Rounding rule
Indicator to show that units of measure are to be condisered only if they are allowed for the vendor or recipient.
The rounding method controls how the system rounds off:
    No rounding
Rounding to a multiple of the order or sales unit
Rounding to order or sales unit, and to logistics units
    No rounding
You have to define an additional rounding rule if you want your profile to round off to whole logistics units. This rounding rule is the key used for grouping logistics units of measure. The group contains all the units to which the system can round off when using the profile.
You can also have the system include only those logistics units that are allowed for the vendor or recipient. Allowed units of measure are defined in unit of measure groups that can be used at material-vendor level or at material-plant level.
    Example
    a) Static rounding profile
A material has a base unit of measure of 1 piece. Purchases are made in cases (1 case = 5 pieces) or pallets (1 pallets = 8 cases or 40 pieces).
You maintain the static rounding profile as follows:
    From To Rounded to
    01 05 05
    06 10 10
    11 15 15
    16 20 20
    21 25 25
    26 30 30
    31 31 35
    32 40 40
    41 45 45
    46 50 50
    66 70 70
    71 71 75
    72 80 80
    81 85 85
    b) Dynamic rounding profile
To procure materials in lower price bands, you define rounding rules containing all pallets and cases that the relevant vendors can deliver. You enter a percentage for every pallet and case category that indicates the level to which a quantity is to be rounded up to the next unit of measure.
    Rounding rule 01
Unit of measure Round up as of
    Euro pallet 70% full
    Pallet category 2 80% full
Case for euro pallet 65% full
    Case category 2 75% full
You maintain a dynamic rounding profile using the rounding method "round to whole logistics units" and assign the profile rounding rule 01.
A material has a base unit of measure of 1 piece. Purchases are made in cases (1 case = 5 pieces) or pallets (1 pallet = 8 cases or 40 pieces). The system then rounds an order quantity of 68 pieces (= 40 + 28) to 2 Euro Pallets (= 80 pieces) because the second pallet is already 70% full.</i>
    Hope this helps,
    Srinivas

  • Azure Storage Maximum Threshold for alert

    Hi Azure team,
    Azure Storage:
What is the maximum threshold after which azure will send notification when maximum capacity is going to be reached?
    Thanks,

You can create a rule based upon capacity. The units has to be in bytes. So if you wanted to get an Alert when the storage account is at 80% of 1 TB. you would set the value to 858993459. Note not to forget to enable the storage account for Capacity Alerts.

Change Slider and NumericStepper default value
http://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/SDK-18380 - FxHSlider and FxVSlider have default max of 100, should be 10
Changed the default value for Slider by setting the value to 10 in the constructor. I changed NumericStepper?\226?\128?\153s implementation to match Slider. The problem with NumericStepper?\226?\128?\153s previous implementation was that it wasn?\226?\128?\153t calling Range?\226?\128?\153s maximum setter. Thus there was some important logic in Range.commitProperties that wasn?\226?\128?\153t called.

  • How to find default value of a column ?

    hi , alok again,
i have to find default value of a column.
Acutally i have found , column's max width, its nullability, precision, scale, type, but NOT default value.
I will have to use the default value and nullability while validating user's input.
ResultSetMetaData doesnot contain any method any such method...
    Pls help,
    how can i do so.
Any idea will be highly appreciated.

    Hi,
After you get the resultset from DatabaseMetaData.getColumns() as shown by sudha_mp you can use the following columns names to retrieve metadata information:
Each column description has the following columns:
TABLE_CAT String => table catalog (may be null)
TABLE_SCHEM String => table schema (may be null)
    TABLE_NAME String => table name
    COLUMN_NAME String => column name
    DATA_TYPE int => SQL type from java.sql.Types
TYPE_NAME String => Data source dependent type name, for a UDT the type name is fully qualified
COLUMN_SIZE int => column size. For char or date types this is the maximum number of characters, for numeric or decimal types this is precision.
    BUFFER_LENGTH is not used.
DECIMAL_DIGITS int => the number of fractional digits
    NUM_PREC_RADIX int => Radix (typically either 10 or 2)
NULLABLE int => is NULL allowed.
columnNoNulls - might not allow NULL values
columnNullable - definitely allows NULL values
    columnNullableUnknown - nullability unknown
REMARKS String => comment describing column (may be null)
COLUMN_DEF String => default value (may be null)
    SQL_DATA_TYPE int => unused

  • What's the default values of ulimit?

Hi, I wan't to check if my ulimit values are normal, and not affected by any other config by mistake. Can I do it somehow? I mean where does ulimit takes it default values? Some answers over internet say its /etc/security/limits.conf, but I do not see there no config info. Here's my ulimit -a if anyone can say there's smth wrong will be appreciated:
Maximum size of core files created (kB, -c) 0
Maximum size of a process’s data segment (kB, -d) unlimited
Maximum size of files created by the shell (kB, -f) unlimited
Maximum size that may be locked into memory (kB, -l) unlimited
Maximum resident set size (kB, -m) unlimited
Maximum number of open file descriptors (-n) 1024
Maximum stack size (kB, -s) 8192
Maximum amount of cpu time in seconds (seconds, -t) unlimited
Maximum number of processes available to a single user (-u) 31677
Maximum amount of virtual memory available to the shell (kB, -v) unlimited

/etc/security/limits.conf comes with the "pam" package, so you should have one, even if everything in it is commented out. I don't think defaults are defined anywhere, but I assume that the ones you posted are the defaults for your system if you didn't override them. Those values seem reasonable. Note that setting core files to zero disables core dumps (usually a good thing), and you might want to increase your number of open file descriptors, perhaps to 10,000 or so for your own user. Also note that even the fields set to "unlimited" are still restricted by the global limits, usually set using sysctl(8), and of course your hardware in some cases. Unless you run into problems (usually processes being sent SIGKILL, unable to open files, unable to allocate memory, etc), then those values should be fine. You may lower them as you see fit to prevent users from hogging resources too, if necessary.

    Regards,
    K. Senthil Kumar

    Hi anandkumar,
I belive this issue can be resolved by changing the  Query proprties for the perticular field.
Kindly check the Field proerties in query designer and ensure that Text is enabled ather than Key.
__Field property check up:__Go to query designer->click onn the field-> Right hand side in properties click on display tab-> select Text in drop down menu of Display as tab.
FURTHER CHECK UP: check the master data avaiulability for the perticular info object, if masterdata is not available, do the text data for txt data availability in report level.
    Hope this helps you!!

  • Assigning a default value to a field

    Hello Everyone,
Could you please tell me how to assign a default value to a field in a transparent table, so that while creating an entry even if we don't enter the value, a default value will be assigned.
    Thanks,
    Anbu.

    Like this
DATA: BEGIN OF itab OCCURS 0,
            field1 TYPE c VALUE 'X'
            field2 TYPE c,
          END OF itab.
    append itab.
    append itab.
You will have by default X set in both rows for field1.
    Regards
    Marcin
PS: Ooops I just noticed you meant transparent table but I wrote about internal one. As long as you maintain that table using maintenance view you can use event 05 - When Creating a New Entry and set fixed value for a field there. So whenever you create new entry it will receive that value.

  • Multiple Default Values in a Multi-Select LOV Parameter?

    Hi,
I have a report in BI Publisher standalone version 10.1.3.4. The report has a list of values called org_lov. This lov is attached to a multi-selection p_org_code parameter from which it is desirable to also have multiple default values.
For example, if org_lov has the following values:
    100
    101
    102
    103
    104
    105
    106
I would like to have 3 default values and have 100, 101,105 as the defaults if the user doesn't specifically select anything from the LOV. So far my testing has only allowed a single default value.
    Here are my settings:
    Data type = string
    Multiple Selection = checked
Can select All = checked (all values passed)
On the Default Value field, I have tried the following:
    1. 100, 101,105
    2. [100, 101,105]
    3. '100', '101','105'
    4. (100, 101,105)
    5. ['100', '101','105']
    6. ('100', '101','105')
I don't need these default values highlighted in the LOV, I just need it passed correctly to the query (a data template).
Thank you in advance for any input.

    Hi,
Sorry for the delayed reply. I tried what you suggested but the problem is that by having the "Multiple Selection" property of the parameter unchecked, the result is that it allows the user to only have a single value passed. The user wants the option to select multiple values AND also have the multiple default values.
    Thanks anyway.
