Can I write Attributes like Comment, Title,... in an Excel File .
I'm using JXL to write data in the file.

I get an alert that says I have no write access for itunes media file

I get an alert that says I have no write access for itunes media file. What should I do?

Downloaded it (Firefox Setup 35.0.1) but still have the same problem. I double clicked and right clicked and "Ran as Administrator" but still had the same result. The setup file description shows "7z Setup SFX" so I suspect that is why the popup title is 7-Zip. It tries to extract but at about 80% is when I get the popup.

How to write attributes to a .stp file in Adobe 3D Reviewer?

Hello All,
I am trying to import a .stp file into Adobe 3D Reviewer and I need to write attributes to this file. I am using VB (.NET 4.0) for this purpose.
I imported the Adobe 3D Reviewer Object Library reference and am trying to make use of the AddAttribute method of the GeomItem class to write the attributes. However, I am unable to instantiate the GeomItem class. I get this error : 'Adobe3DReviewer.GeomItemClass.Friend Sub New()' is not accessible in this context because it is 'Friend'. I am not sure how else can I access this class? Also, in the object browser GeomItem shows up as a class but in Intellisense it shows up as an interface.
Can anyone shed some light on how to resolve this error or make use of any other method to write the attributes and their values in the Adobe 3D Reviewer? Also, if anyone can point to some documentation related to this stuff it would be great!

Error - In generating URL for a Excel File in WebDynpro Project

Please let me know your solution(s) to the above mentioned issue/problem.

Hi Senthil,
your code seems to be correct! Probabily your file is test.xls (NOT Test.xls with the first letter in uppercase).
Try to write:
IWDWebResource webRes = WDWebResource.getWebResource(wdComponentAPI.getDeployableObjectPart(), WDWebResourceType.XLS,     "test.xls");

XSLT Mapping for creating Excel files

My input xml format is

Note:- We are not doing Adapter module for this conversion.

This can be done with file content convertion. Use delimiter ; for excel

The first binary file write operation for a new file takes progressively longer.

I have an application in which I am acquiring analog data from multiple
PXI-6031E DAQ boards and then writing that data to FireWire hard disks
over an extended time period (14 days). I am using a PXI-8145RT
controller, a PXI-8252 FireWire interface board and compatible FireWire
hard drive enclosures. When I start acquiring data to an empty
hard disk, creating files on the fly as well as the actual file I/O
operations are both very quick. As the number of files on the
hard drive increases, it begins to take considerably longer to complete
the first write to a new binary file. After the first write,
subsequent writes of the same data size to that same file are very
fast. It is only the first write operation to a new file that
takes progressively longer. To clarify, it currently takes 1 to 2
milliseconds to complete the first binary write of a new file when the
hard drive is almost empty. After writing 32, 150 MByte files,
the first binary write to file 33 takes about 5 seconds! This
behavior is repeatable and continues to get worse as the number of
files increases. I am using the FAT32 file system, required for
the Real-Time controller, and 80GB laptop hard drives. The
system works flawlessly until asked to create a new file and write the
first set of binary data to that file. I am forced to buffer lots
of data from the DAQ boards while the system hangs at this point.
The requirements for this data acquisition system do not allow for a
single data file so I can not simply write to one large file.
Any help or suggestions as to why I am seeing this behavior would be
greatly appreciated.

I am experiencing the same problem. Our program periodically monitors data and eventually save it for post-processing. While it's searching for suitable data, it creates one file for every channel (32 in total) and starts streaming data to these files. If it finds data is not suitable, it deletes the files and creates new ones.
On our lab, we tested the program on windows and then on RT and we did not find any problems.
Unfortunately when it was time to install the PXI on field (an electromechanic shovel on a copper mine) and test it, we've come to find that saving was taking to long and the program screwed up. Specifically when creating files (I.E. "New File" function). It could take 5 or more seconds to create a single file.
As you can see, field startup failed and we will have to modify our programs to workaround this problem and return next week to try again, with the additional time and cost involved. Not to talk about the bad image we are giving to our costumer.
I really like labview, but I am particularly upset beacuse of this problem. LV RT is supposed to run as if it was LV win32, with the obvious and expected differences, but a developer can not expect things like this to happen. I remember a few months ago I had another problem: on RT Time/Date function gives a wrong value as your program runs, when using timed loops. Can you expect something like that when evaluating your development platform? Fortunately, we found the problem before giving the system to our costumer and there was a relatively easy workaround. Unfortunately, now we had to hit the wall to find the problem.
On this particular problem I also found that it gets worse when there are more files on the directory. Create a new dir every N hours? I really think that's not a solution. I would not expect this answer from NI.
I would really appreciate someone from NI to give us a technical explanation about why this problem happens and not just "trial and error" "solutions".
By the way, we are using a PXI RT controller with the solid-state drive option.

Looking for Plugins for Powerpoint & Excel files

I am creating my website in iWeb and it's great! I am looking for a way to have users open the powerpoint and excel files within the website, similar to the way these files open in Internet Explorer. I realize that things are different between ie and Safari; however, I would be most grateful if someone could point me in the right direction. When I put a link to a .pps or .xl file on iWeb, clicking on it opens to the location where the website is stored and then the user can click to open the file. I would like to eliminate having them go to the source of the website.
I would be most grateful for any help that anyone could provide with this request.

Contents for .XLS excel file attachment missing in FM SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1

I checked the lt_attachment in debugging. It has around 87 lines and this FM run without any error. SY-subrc = 0.
But when I opened the excel file it only have 4 lines of records. Anyone have any idea on this? Thanks.

Mac Mini Sever - Public Share - how enable read and write permissions for new remote files

Hi,
this Sunday a friend ask me to help hum with a problem on is Man Mini Server. He has a small office and uses the mini server to share a public folder to all his employees.
Everyone that creates a file, saves it to the public folder at the mini mac.
That problem is that, who creates the file owns it and remains with read-only permissions to everyone else. The owner has to change the file permission in order to the rest of the employees can work on it.
I do not know mac arquitecture, I only work with windows and linux, but i suspect the principles are the same.
We try to create another folder , and share it, but it happens the same. Have you any ideas on what is wrong?
I suspect it has anything to do with de file Sharing at the mini mac, but it has read and write permissions for everyone.

signed applet. You aren't going to find any easy way to distribute that policy file to users, and that policy file, if you asked me to put it on my PC, I'd tell you to take a flying leap. That would open any applet to access.

Keyboard help needed for spreadsheet / excel files!

When editing a spreadsheet / excel file, how do I keep the keyboard from switching back to numerical mode every time I press the space bar? When entering text into a cell, I need the keyboard to stay locked in alpha mode. I've tried both office hd and quick office, and in each one, every time I write a word and then press the space bar, it automatically goes back into the numerical keyboard mode.

Unchecking 1904 date system for all excel files

I discovered that the dates were off on my excel files, and that I need to uncheck the 1904 option in the preferences.
However, I am wondering, if there is a way to do this for all of the excel documents I have, instead of having to go to every one individually.
