Write Read XML Files not made in LabVIEW
I have an application that needs to be able to write and read xml files. My application needs to be able to save the files in such a format that an outside program can use the values saved in the xml file. On a system restart I need to be able to read in the values that were saved back into the program and populate the multicolumn list box it came from. My issue really is just reading it back in from the file.
I could create a way of writing the xml file with the information in the format needed for the other program. The problem really is, how do I handle reading in, and then populating controls with the information provided in the xml file with the xml file not in the LabView format.
The xml controls that have been provided by NI are not usable in this case.
Any suggestions or possible solutions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for all of the help ahead of time.
Try LabXML.

Since the namespace is not follow xi format, how can i read and parse all the information using
file adapter ?
Thank you and Best Regards
FernandYou can parse all the information in the XML file/Flat file by using JAVA mapping by using DOM / SAX Parser.

Reading XML file using BAPI I must use adapters .
Reading XML file using BAPI and then uploading that xml file data into SAP using BDC.
I cant take file on to my Application server I am getting the file dynamically from other file server and I need to use BAPis to read data from XML file.please tell me what should be my Import,Export and Tables parameterrs should be.
ThanksHi,
Import, export and table parameters for BAPI is required, without that BAPI will not able to collect the data from XML. What you need to do is write a Zprogram and collect the data, store that data in internal table and call the BAPI by passing required parameters.
Different Scanarios:
1) Before calling a BAPI write some other program which collects the data from XML and create a UNIX file. Try to get the data from UNIX FILE
2) If you see the XML tags, data will be in side that tags, try to get the data from XML tags and store that data in one SAP table. You can use the BAPI by fetching the data from table
3)Create a table and store the data in the table. Use the table in SAP to extract the data.
BAPI won't work without any parameters, you have to pass some parameters then the BAPI will return some values.
Hope i am clear.
Thanks&Regards,

Write to XML File crashes when multiple Timed Loops present
Hello All,
It took me forever to track this bug down.
In this project we can edit operating parameters on the Host and send them down to an RT program in a cRIO-9025. The data is converted to XML and stored on the cRIO's disk.
Occasionally, the RT program would lock up and had to be rebooted.
It turns out that if you use Timed Loops , then a Write to XML File (or presumably any file write) will not return.
Attached is an example. This has 5 loops to make it crash faster, but it will eventually crash with only 2.
Paul J
Attachments:
XML Write test.vi 93 KBHello Chris,
I know that Write to XML File fails because I put in debug code in my actual program, a flat sequence which updated an indicator, and after the crash, the indicator had not updated.
Yes, I know that it replaces the file. It's a configuration file, not data gathering. This is just an example of the bug.
FYI,
I increased the period for the loop with the file save to 500msecs and it still crashed.
I then decreased it to 50 msecs, and replaced all of the other Timed loops with While loops and it does not crash, even though the file save takes much longer than 50 msecs, average ~150msecs.
I replaced the loop with the file save with a While loop while leaving the others as Timed loops and it does not crash.
So the bug is systemic and related to a file save in a Timed Loop when there are other Timed Loops.
I'm not looking for a solution, I'm only reporting a bug in Labview. The solution is not to use Timed Loops, especially, as you point out, when there is file saving. It cost me several days of dicking around to figure it out. Maybe someone can save some time if they find this.

JBO-26001: NoXMLFileException
Cause: Could not open the named XML file for read.
The following is from Note 137429.1. Hope this helps.
Raja.
JBO-26001: NoXMLFileException
Cause: Could not open the named XML file for read.
Action: 1. Make sure that the file is present. In particular, if the file is to be found in a zip/jar file, make sure that the Zip/JAR file is included in the CLASSPATH.
2. This error is also reported if the name of the XML file does not match the object Name specified in the XML file. If the file system support case insensitive file names (e.g., Windows NT), make sure that the file name matches the object Name in the XML file in case-sensitive fashion.
3. For a .JPX file, this error is reported if the JPX file is missing the JboProject XML tag. Check the JPX file to make sure that the valid tag is in there.
4. One XML file may be extending another XML file (specified by the Extends element in this XML file). This error is reported if the base XML file is not found.
5. When loading the XML file for a package (JboPackage tag), this error is reported if some unexpected error occurs while loading a containee.
In all of the above cases, a more descriptive message may be printed on Diagnostic. If you are not seeing Diagnostic messages, you can run your application with Diagnostic turned on, as in "java -Djbo.debugoutput=console ...", to see Diagnostic messages. -

Reading XML file from application server and put into internal table-4.6C
Dear All,
Is there any way of reading XML file from application server to SAP? I am using 4.6C. Function module SCMS_STRING_TO_XSTRING function module is not available. Please suggest.
Thanks and regards,
AtanuHi Atanu!
Simply use the XSLT transformation 'ID'.
FIELD-SYMBOLS <ls_result> TYPE ANY.
CREATE DATA lref_data TYPE (your_structure).
ASSIGN lref_data->* TO <ls_result>.
CALL TRANSFORMATION id
SOURCE XML xmlstr
RESULT result = <ls_result>.
"xmlstr" contains your XML file. Just read it into it via standard I/O operations. "<ls_result>" will contain your DDIC formatted content.

UCCX Reading XML file hosted on IIS web server
hi guys,
i have a customer on CCX 8.5 environment and they have a .NET application running on an IIS web server. As part of this .NET application, the app produce an XML file.
My questions is
"Can CCX read XML file that is hosted externally on IIS web server rather than parsing the XML file on CCX document repository?"
All of the examples of XML parsing points to the XML file in document repository.
Any pointers to links and documentation/example on how to do this would be greatly appreciated.
If this is not achievable, if you could kindly suggest a different way of doing it too would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
DanielHi,
to be quite honest with you, I don't know anything about Sharepoint - so I am afraid I cannot help you with its XML editing capabilities. XML is just a well formed text file that follows some logical rules, so no additional application is required for editing, in fact, I always encourage everybody to use Notepad/Textpad/ to read and edit XML files. Of course, if it's not possible, you will find a great number of various user friendly XML editing applications.
A UCCX script will normally access an XML using the Create URL Document step and then, using the Get XML Document data step with the help of an XPath expression, will filter out the necessary information from the XML document.
The protocols used are standard and well known, including HTTP and XPath (and XML itself). So it does not really matter what kind of HTTP server serves the XML file, IIS is just an option.
Examples may be found in the Scripting guides for your particular UCCX version.

Reading XML Files from oracle 9i or in Oracle 10g
Hi all,
Can any body suggest how to write a stored procedure to read XML file content and insert into a table.
Thanking you in AdvanceI know I am blasphemous, but ....
We had a similar requirement: one file, each line was a "simple" xml doc corresponding to one db table record. The keyword here is "simple". We looked at the xml stuff, but decided that the easiest, best runtime performance, most extensible, easiest to maintain was:
use (sed|awk|perl) to convert xml to a flat file of fields, and then load the file with SQL*Loader. After all, loading flat files with many records is a job for SQL*Loader.
caveat: the xml in question was very simple and the same for all records:
timestamp|<log><id>1</id><ns>ns1</ns><prod/><cmd>order</cmd><result>ok</result><time>1813></time></log>
