Writing to a file in java, reading the file with C++

Is there a way that I can write data to a file (such as a sequence of floats, doubles, ints and chars) and then read the file in with a C++ program that will correctly interpret all the data types.

Well, in order to make files readable with different languages, you need to pay attention to byte-order. Generally, C++ reads things using the native byte order of the machine the code is running on. Java on the other hand usually uses big endian byte order everywhere. The java.nio package supports different byte orders, and probably would be helpful for your purposes. You should check out NIO API, specifically file channels and byte buffers, and see if that will serve your purposes. If you have any more specific questions, then come on back and post them.

At the end of a Restore, you will be asked if you want the current iPhone to be synched as a New iPhone or use the current iPhone's settings. Selecting the former since to have solved the messaging problem. If u have done back-up of the "old" iPhone on iTunes, then your New iPhone will be the "old" iPhone too after synching with iTunes :)

Writing binary to file with 24 or 32-bit numbers

I am using an NI4472 DAQ to sample some analog data at 24-bits and I want to write the data to disk. However LabView only has a VI to write 16-bit data to disk. Is there a way to write 24 or 32 bit binary numbers to a file?

The VI you are looking at is probably one of the "Easy VIs" that is setup for a specific application. You can create more general programs to write a binary file with any data type you desire. I would recommend taking a look at the Write Binary File example that ships with LabVIEW. It shows a more general approach to writing data to a binary file. In this example they write double precision numbers but you could easily replace the data with I32s.

and now i am confused since the apllet just doesnt write anything in the ... file

it's a dictionary, i read the entries from and in case
some changes were made they need to be saved... as far
as i knew the applet had rights on a local system but
not over the web...Nope. Think about it... What if someone wrote a malicious applet, and put it on the web. Then you go to their site, and they trash your file system.
You'd have to make the applet a "trusted" one to do that, though I'm not here to answer questions about how that's done. Search the forum or other sites.

Help in writing to a file with newline facility

I am using the RandomAccessFile class to write to a file.
The content i am writing to the file is of the form
KEY=VALUE.
I am writing several key value pairs like this.
Everytime I write a KEY=VALUE it should be in a new line.
So, what should i do to write in a new line everytime.
Please help.

Well the square most likely is just a non-printable character. If you are on windows the line.separator is \r\n (0x13 and 0x10) some file editors show the \n as a "square" as the only expect a \r its just how you interpret the file.. you can't atually do anythign about it as it isn't "wrong" if you skip the \n some programs might not see it as a newline. If you add it some may display a square.. Its the great gift of different OS's using different line separators..

Reading the changes with in the Transaction from Toplink

Typically when we work on a transaction in a SQL Session ( say from SQL*Plus), the DML changes made with in that transaction are visible to the subsequent statements in the same transaction.
How can we acheive the above functionality with a UnitOfWork? Using a query.ConformResultsInUnitOfWork helps, but only when the Toplink Cache is enabled. Can we achieve the same functionality in Toplink when the Toplink Cache is disabled.

Good grief no. I've just done a consulting job that involved Dells, and if you think there are some issues with Apple, wait until you try to deal with Dell. The tech support is awful, they transfer you 4 times then hang up. The product is marginal at best. Google that if you want confirmation.
While Apple machines have had some issues on specific models, for the most part my experience has been very favorable. Especially if you have Applecare. Take the computer in if you have a problem and let the Genius Bar fix it for you.
Your "overheating" issues are probably due to something like Flash running in the background, which just continues to grow in size and suck up machine resources the longer it's on.

Crawling the Web with Java

Hi everyone.

I don't want to copy and paste the code because it is really long and an eyesore if viewing here.
I get a lot of errors when compiling of which I do not understand. The majority of the errors (62 of them to be precise) are "class, interface or enum expected" errors, with the remaining few being "illegal start of type" and "<identifier> expected" errors.
Can someone here perhaps take a look at it and compile it and see if they also get the same errors? I realise it is an old tutorial but there are hardly any detailed resources I can find for java web crawlers.

We have requirement that we have to read the Email from particular Emailid we will get an XML as an attachment and we have to read the attachment with in the email and we have to store the values into database.

I think that is the default behaviour of pop, i do not know how to set a kind of 'leave copy on the server' option. You could switch to the imap protocol if there is an imap server available. You can then choose:

<MarkAsRead/>
</PostReadOperation>
or
<PostReadOperation>
<DeleteMessage/>
</PostReadOperation>
To change this edit your ns_emails.xml file and fill in the IncomingServerSettings section.
The Reply To is the email address that the sender of the email indicates as address to use in case you would reply to his message.

BOL: How to read the value of an attribut

Hiii experts,
I'm new in ABAP programming.
My intention is to read the value of a context attribut.
This attribut ist not in form of a struct attribut. To read an struct attribut, I know to get the value, for example:
value ?= me->typed_context->BP_ADDR->collection_wrapper->get_current( ).
CHECK value IS BOUND.
value->get_property_as_value(
    EXPORTING
      iv_attr_name = 'CITY'
    IMPORTING
      ev_result    = value_city).
But my problem is, that I have an attribut, which you can not find in the BOL browser, because it is not in form of a struct.
Can anybody help me, how to read the value of this kind of attributs.

Names of columns don't appear when I read the report on WebI 6.5
The report was developped on BO 6.5 and was published on WebI.
When I read the report with the HTML mode, the names of the colums appear.
When I read the report with the PDF mode, the names of the columns don't appear.
I try to read the report with the HTML mode and after, I try to save it in pdf but it doesn't work. (it is the operation of conversion of pdf which doesn't work - it's very long and... nothing appends)

This is the default column. I didnu2019t add column heading. But I replaced the name of the column by words.
I havenu2019t change the property of column heading.
It is a cross tab.

Pick up a specific file with File Sender Adapter.

Hi guys,
I would like to know how I can pick a specific file in a file pool (folder)? I would like to choose this file by name, like FileA or FileB, etc.
Im asking this because I have an asynchronous file scenario (BPM) with a receiver adapter that put the File with a specific name (variable substitution) in a folder.
And I would like to do something like this:
In another asynchronous scenario (BPM), a File sender adapter picks up this specific file (using the name). The correlation is made trough an IDOC that XI receives before pick up the file, this IDOC has payload field with the name of file to be picked.
Is it possible receives the IDOC, read the field with the name of the file to be picked and choose this specific file? In a Sender File Adapter how I can do something like variable substitution like receiver adapter does.

No this is not possible. The only dynamic thing you can do is use wild card characters like *.
So, maybe you can pick a file like . or AA. and so on...
