WRP400 calls interrupted

Hi!
I configured to voip account on the router, but every calls made are interrupted 5 secs, very annoying
I upgraded firmware, try different codecs g.711u, g.729u, no luck, still having the same issue.
Voip configuration is pretty confusing and Help menu does not help at all.

Hi Helm!
Thanks for your support.
But changing MTU leave me without MSN Messenger and other programs. ISP in Argentina are very unprofessionals and support people don´t even know what MTU means, so I have to go back and choose Auto MTU.
I contact my Voip server and they told me to downgrade the firmware to 1.0.0.4, so I am using this firmware now and see if it´s works.
I leave outside of the city, in the middle on the woods and Internet is the only service that somehow works and voip is my only hope to talk with the world.

• Call interrupt is possible in blackberry

Hi All,
This post will be posted here or not. I dont know. Please execuse and give me the response
I need small help about call interrupt. I explained below what i am need.
For example i am developing small application. when ever installing the application in mobile, application will run in background. At that time we will try to make a call to friend or some one for ISD, or STD like.
Actually here we pressed only 10 digit number(Ex:9986866605) direct from mobile not through our application.
For example this 10 digit number(EX:9986866605) is STD, Now what i  want automatically +91 will be added with this number and dialed the number automatically(ex:+9199986866605) through our application using related API.
Mainly first what i Need:
1. Blackberry is supported to call interrupt or call generation
2. If supported which API is supported.
Please if any body knows about Let me know as early as possible.
please.
Thanks,

If I were you, I'd post on the "Java Development" board that you can find on the homepage of this forum. developers may not read the "device software" board.

• N8 - calls interrupted by unwanted functions: hold...

I've heard that others have had this problem but I have yet to find a solution.  I am frequently having calls interrupted when the N8 inadvertently goes into speaker phone mode or hold mode.
I believe this happens while as I'm talking and I move my hand or the phone to get into a more comfortable position, the sensor thinks I've pulled the phone away from my face and activates the screen.  And then before the screen lock reactivates it senses my ear or cheek touching the screen and activates the function.
When I try to get back into the correct phone call mode, as I'm trying to hold a conversation, the screen lock activates and I get into this frustrating cycle of unlocking as it is automatically unlocking so it locks and so on before I can get back into phone mode.  Meanwhile the caller on the other end thinks I've hung up on them (if it is on hold or mute) or everyone around me is listening to them speak as their voice is broadcast on the speaker phone.
I never had this issue with my 5800 XM or my N97 mini.
Is there any fix for this?  I went into sensor settings hoping to change the sensitivity but cannot find such an option.  any other tips or experiences?  Maybe Nokia plans to address this with the firmware update in January?

pctrasher: Please stop spreading this pure nonsense.
The problem is connected with several influencing factors, with the skin and hair color of the user being two of them. But it has NOTHING to do with the antenna; we're not talking about the iPhone.
So please utilize the simple workaround provided by rayhipkiss some posts above: Use the lock slider if you're among the people having problems with the proximity sensor.

• How long should it take me to sync approx 20GB of data to a brand new iPhone? How can I tell if it is still making progress? Will texts, IMs, calls, interrupt it

How can I tell if it is still making progress? Will texts, IMs, calls, interrupt it and cause me to have to start over??
Thank you!!

Should be a couple of hours, max, if antivirus is not in the way.  I've read several times that you might have to actually remove the antivirus software from the PC.
I'm on a Mac, so I have no info on antivirus or how to locate hidden software on a PC.

• IPhone 4 phones calls interrupted by music

When I'm making a phone call I will suddenly be cut off and the Phone starts to play the music that is on the device.  I'm not doing anything to the phone, not pressing buttons shaking it or anything. I can be talking to somebdoy and then suddely they are gone and the music is playing.  Sometimes it takes me four or five attempts to get the call back , as the music will interrupt the dialling and can cut in at any time.
I checked and the music app is not active after this happens. The iPhone is hardly usable as a phone noew the problem has got so bad. Anybody know if this can be fixed?
My next move will be to delete all the music on the device, pretty poor for a $600 phone.

I'm on ios 6.1.3 .
Frankly I would consider anything as the phone is almost unusable (as a phone) at the moment.  I only have one paid app that cost 99 cents and I don't care about that.

• Phone call interrupting video recording

Just a quick clarification-
I've noticed that while recording a video, if a phone call comes in (even if it is declined), the video is ended. This obviously does make sense as incoming calls should have priority, and I suppose means that airplane mode is the way to go if I'm recording a video that I don't want to be interrupted.
My question is: Is the above statement correct or is there an option or setting I'm missing that would allow a call to be declined during video recording and have the video continue? Using Airplane Mode isn't a huge problem, but it would be nice to be able to monitor incoming calls and have the choice whether to accept the call and end the video or decline the call and have the video continue.
Thanks for the help!

I had a iphone 3g and had static during phone calls - mostly on the person who I was calling. I hoped that when I upgraded to the iphone 3gs the problem would go away (thinking maybe I had a faulty speaker). But the problem still persists with this new phone (just a month old). I read where I should reset the phone, recharged the phone and reset the phone. But you would think buying a new phone would have done those same things. Perhaps it is an AT&T issue. That makes more sense since both phone have the same issue. But I would take an answer from Apple if they would like to share the definitive answer to this problem. Apple, your turn.

• Prepaid cell phone call interruption O.o

Every now and then I try to call my girlfriend long distance on a prepaid cell phone. About one minute into the conversation our call is interrupted with a voice that comes over my phone saying how much cash is on the phone and when the next pay is due. Is there any way I can turn this feature off? It gets pretty annoying being cut off all the time and having to call back explaining what happened.

This has something to do with the Messaging Alert levels. Try this
Go to verizowireless.com/myverizon
Click on the My Profile tab.
Select Low, Medium or High (choose Low) from the Messaging Level box and click update. Hope this works for you.

• Running thread behaviour on calling interrupt?

if a thread T1 is running and interrupt is called on this thread,there will be no impact on thread T1 processing/behaviour. To handle this
we have to call if (Thread.interrupted()) inside run method of thread T1 right?
Interrupt will have impact when thread is under wait,sleep or join(or methods that throw InterruptedException),Right?
In above question , impact refers to the case when InterruptedException will be thrown.
Asked the question at http://www.coderanch.com/t/545582/threads/java/Impact-interrupt-Running-thread but did not get satisfactory reply though i have been thru api doc.

Interrupting a thread sets a flag for that thread. Setting that flag will cause some blocking operations to throw an exception. e.g. sleep, wait, NIO read. Unless you do one of those operations, setting the flag doesn't do anything which is a problem for those who hope to stop a running thread in an untrusted third party library. ;)

• I want to listen to music with no call interruptions - how?

how can i change the settings, so that when i listen to my music, if someone calls, the music track doesn't pause? i don't want even a silent alarm and, preferably, for the name to not appear on screen - just want to listen to my music, close my eyes, and have no interruptions. can this be done?

This describes the problem I am still having. I thought I found a solution, but it's still there.
At the moment Skype is unusable for me, so I'm relying on Curse Voice, but I'd like to use Skype for non-gaming conversations.

Odd, I've set FORMS_TRACE_DIR in every .env file i found and still no tracefiles
however..err I've made a fool of myself - the whole thing crashed with a delayed blast cause I've been tampering with one of the DLLs to try fixing a different bug..needless to say that didn't do any good
Restored the old dll and forms are running again

• VOIP calls interrupted by Privacy Patrol

My VOIP phone calls are being interrupted by advertisements for "Privacy Patrol". Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a known cause or solution?

Anyone got any ideas?

• Phone call interrupted my video

While shooting a video on iPhone 4 a call came in that I declined. However, it turned off the video and I had to restart it. I read a few other questions about this but they were from over a year ago and I was hoping something had been instituted to stop this. I understand the idea that phone calls have priority, but when I'm using my iPhone's video camera I would like that to have priority. Anything besides airport mode?

This is absolutely rediculous. Why is it that my call doesn't show up as an alert superimposed over the video recording view. If it's possible that when I'm on a call, a second call does not cut off the first, it stands to reason that the same option could be offered to me while watching a video. (e.g., "Accept call from Joe and save video?Send Joe straight to voicemail?)
Otherwise what you are saying is that whever I want to record something, assuming it's important (and I think it's safe to assume that whenever I'm recording something it's important and potentially VERY important), you're saying I need to first go into settings and enter airplane mode. But that's of course insane. What if I'm witnessing a crime? What if there's a precious moment happening between my children? Etc. Etc.
This should be fixed. I just had a very important moment ruined. The fact that it's a phone primarily is by the way not at all correct anymore. It's a computer that makes calls.

• How NOT to re-call after a call break

Hi,
I'm using iOS7 on iPhone 4 (in french).
When a phone call is broken due to bad network, the lock screen displays "Echec d'appel" (in french - I guess in english, it should be something like "Call interrupted"?)
Sometimes, I DO NOT want to re-call, but I cannot unlock my iPhone without having it re-initiating the last call (even if I slide the bottom of the screen)...
Is there a way to prevent this "automatic re-call at unlock"???
Thanks in advance for any clue.

Hello Peter,
I was struggling with the same issue.
NCo provides an delegate for handling change events: RfcDestinationManager.ConfigurationChangeHandler. But I found no documentation about this and could'n get it running.
Here is my workaround:
For destination configuration use the way as described in NCo_30_Overview.pdf (page 7 and 8).
If the compiler warns you, that the event is never used, just add the following line to MyBackendConfig:
private void ConfigurationChangedEventDummyCall() { ConfigurationChanged(null, null); }
Change your coding as follows:
IDestinationConfiguration config = new MyBackendConfig();
RfcDestinationManager.RegisterDestinationConfiguration(config);
RfcDestination prd = RfcDestinationManager.GetDestination("PRD_000");
before you try to get the Repository, execute a Ping and catch the Exception:
try...
prd.Ping();
This prevents you from getting the "Der Wert darf nicht NULL sein" error on the second call.
If Ping fails, unregister the configuration, change username and/or password, create a new config and register again.
catch...
RfcDestinationManager.UnregisterDestinationConfiguration(config);
// change config here... (prompt for username / password)
config = new MyBackendConfig();
RfcDestinationManager.RegisterDestinationConfiguration(config);
RfcDestination prd = RfcDestinationManager.GetDestination("PRD_000");
again
prd.Ping();
If the second ping is working, logon was ok and you can continue and get the Repository without an error.

• Wait - interrupt  Why Exception not thrown?

Hello. I expected that calling interrupt() on a waiting thread should result in InterruptedException thrown by wait(). Nevertheless, in the code below no Exception is thown as if there were no interrupt() call. Actually this snippet prints the same output irregardless of whether interrupt() is called.
public class Runner {
        synchronized public void foo(){
            System.out.println("before wait in foo()");
            try {
                wait();
            } catch (InterruptedException e) {
                System.out.println("InterruptedException");
                e.printStackTrace();
            System.out.println("after wait in foo()");
        synchronized public void bar(){
            System.out.println("before sleep in bar()");
            try {
                Thread.sleep(10000);
            } catch (InterruptedException e) {
                e.printStackTrace();
            System.out.println("after sleep in bar()");
            notify();
            System.out.println("after notify in bar()");
        public static void main(String[] args) {
            final Runner runner = new Runner();
            Thread t1 = new Thread(new Runnable(){
                public void run() {
                    runner.foo();
            Thread t2 = new Thread(new Runnable(){
                public void run() {
                    runner.bar();
            t1.start();
            t2.start();
            try {
                Thread.sleep(5000);
            } catch (InterruptedException e) {
                e.printStackTrace();
            t1.interrupt();
            System.out.println("t1 interrupted");
}

Thanks for your response.
Still the whole thing is not clear to me.
Why InterruptedException is not deterministic in this
case?
Where is the ?non-deterministic? code in this
example?The fact that t1.start() is written before t2.start() in you code does not guarantee that foo() method will always be called first. Either the bar() method or foo() method can be invoked firstly, because this is how threads work in Java. Try to invert: put t2.start() before t1.start(), and see what happens. Probably the exception will be thrown in this case, but this behaviour is still non deterministic.
Please pay attention to timing -
t1.interrupt() is called in about 5 seconds after
both threads are started, at the time when one thread
is in sleep(10000) and the other in wait(). I believe
that above condition may be taken for granted taking
in account 5 seconds interval between calls.You know that when you invoke the notify() method inside the bar method() you are making the foo() method not waiting anymore, don?t you? Therefore, if foo() method is called firstly, then the InterruptedException probably won?t be thrown. I said "probably" because the behaviour is non deterministic. Time is relative. If your processor is fast, then probably the exception will never be thrown, but you will never be completely sure. Maybe if there are other executions using your processor, then the processor might be slow for your program, and then the InterruptedException might be thrown. If you want to make your program have the same behaviour always, then you have to use semaphore variables, that indicate when exactly one thread is permitted to run.

• SetQueryTimeout when calling stored procedures

I cannot seem to get a query to timeout when calling a stored procedure in Oracle 8i. I have set the query timeout to 1 (sec.) and the query takes a few minutes to return. I get no exception and the query returns normally. When I use a prepared statement the query times out as expected and I get an exception. Should this work?

Hi,
The issue: I want a timeout on database locks, without doing
a select for update wait x/ or nowait for every row concerned.
Once the thread called java.net.SocketInputStream.socketread0() (unfortunatelly
without a timeout), I currently only see 2 ways to get my thread out of there:
- The lock is resolved (by the blocking instance) resp. the db server
- By calling System.exit() (which I do not wish to do)
So I want the Oracle Driver to call socketRead with a timeout, or if
i can't do so. I'd like to set the timeout to the Socket myself.
Or if I can't do so either, I plan to give a new SocketImplFactory
to my client VM, which will implement a Socket with a fixed timeout
on reads.
Hint's (what I found out so far):
- Calling interrupt on the invoking Thread wan't help
- Calling statement.setQueryTimeout() wan't help, because the SqlException
will be thrown at the time the statement leaves the socketRead(), which is
when to lock is resolved, which is too late
- The timeout used is defined by the used SocketImpl, which
is by default the java.net.PlainSocketImpl, which is by default 0, which means
'wait forever'
- I did not found a way to set a timeout on the db server side, to resolve
this problem
Details:
I am using Oracles JDBC Thin Driver 9i 9.2.0.3
So far I did not specify any additional properties to the ConnectionFactory
than user/pwd
