Wrt54g can't upload with l2tp

Hello,
I wish to report to linksys something I have found:
Using wrt54g, the European hardware version 7.0 with firmware 7.0.4, when using L2TP – none of the computers behind the router can upload files to the internet.
Minor activity like browsing the internet is fine, but trying to send out larger files (even just a few Megs), via email or ftp/http upload – is one of the two:
Not possible at all.
With email, sometimes the files are actually sent, but the SMTP connection is not closed at the end so the delivery as a transaction fails and the email remains in the outbox.
 Please fix this ASAP.
Thanks.

Thanks, but it didn't help. I tried MTU (which is very low at 1420), and port forwarding is not relevant.
I did a simple test – I set the wrt54g to use DHCP with my cable company, and then used the windows XP l2tp dialer from my computers. They both started to work like charm! Without any changes of MTU or port forwarding…

  • WRT54G can't communicate with DNS server

Hi there! So, I've got a strange and frustrating problem with my internet. We've got Comcast, and we have several computers connected through a linksys WRT54G router (through a motorola surfboard modem). Yesterday, our house briefly lost power. Upon regaining power, the internet wasn't working anymore. It was strange because both the modem and the router indicated that they were connected just fine, but, on all the computers, the network was listed as "local only" and couldn't connect. I tried directly connecting the modem to a computer, and that worked (but only after power cycling the modem once it was connected).
When attempting to diagnose/repair the connection when connected through the router, I get a "Could not communicate with the primary DNS server" message. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this problem? Could the power getting knocked out have messed something up with the router? As of now, we can only have one computer connected at a time through the modem. The only way I'm connected right now on my computer is through tethering my phone.
Thanks in advance for your help!
oh, and I don't know if this is important or not, but we aren't actually using the wifi much at all. All the computers connect through ethernet cables. I did try wifi, though, and it still didn't work.

The power interruption probably messed up your router settings. Happened to my WRT54G a lot of times.
Just reset and powercycle the router by holding the reset button for 30 seconds, waiting for another 30 seconds then unplug the power cord for 10 seconds before replugging it back. Try to access the admin page through http://192.168.1.1 and reconfigure from scratch. This should get you back online.
If that doesn't work, try upgrading / re-flashing the firmware then go through the same reset - cycle - reconfigure from scratch process as above.

  • How can i upload with facebook using N2690

I want 2 upload to facebook using N2690

    Hey Goldfishy86,
What kind of media files are you looking to upload onto facebook?
You could try log into the Facebook website on your device browser and log into your Facebook and view the original website not the mobile version, from there try to upload your media.
If it does not work and you are still looking to upload your videos to Facebook I suggest downloading Nokia PC Suite and transferring your videos to your PC and uploading it via your PC web browser.
I hope this helps, let me know if you manage to solve your issue!

  • Image upload with save to database

    Quick question guys,
Can Image upload with save to database be added to an existing form in order to save other info as well as the file name to the database.
    Thanks
    Col F

    Hi,
Not looking at any code you have an upload button for the video and an insert for the form. So both forms are independent of each other it looks like, thats why when you do one you only get that info and when you do the other you only get the other info. You should just make one form with the uploader included. Make one form with all the fields included (movie name, movie page, movie description, movie file) after the form is completed then select the file field and go to...
Server Behaivoirs, Developer Toolbox, File upload, upload file. Follow the widgets.

  • Can not upload my ipa with Apple Application Loader

After I published with success a new .ipa with DPS when I tried to upload with Application Loader, the system refused my app.
In the past I never had this problem since last week it is impossible until now.
When I asked  help the Apple developer assistance, says:
The error you’re receiving now does make sense that it was caused by the Adobe DPS program. Sometimes when using 3rd party app builders it will cause a similar error when attempting to upload a new app or update.
Unfortunately Apple does not support 3rd party app builders, and I would suggest contacting the support group at Adobe in regards to DPS and what setting you need to adjust within the program to successfully upload the app.
When contacting them be sure to have the description of the error ready for them. I’ve seen this similar case with previous developers that have used the Adobe app builder, and have reached a resolution with contacting them.
    What can I do?
    Thank you in advance.

  • How can i turn a photoshop file into a website with knowing code? can i upload Muse or DreamWeaver?

How can i turn a photoshop file into a website with knowing code? can i upload Muse or DreamWeaver?
I created a few images (pages for a site) on photoshop and want to turn them into HTML code for a website- Can i Just upload the file into one of these programs and make a file with the correct code imediatly?
I was reading about using EDGE Reform but i did not understand if i can create the code with it, in the end it says it still needs to be sent to website developer after?

You need to look at Dreamweaver as a code editor. You need to learn to create good, clean HTML code with style sheets to make websites with Dreamweaver.
There are tutorials that will take you from a layered .PSD file to HTML. Here's a good one:
    http://net.tutsplus.com/tutorials/site-builds/from-psd-to-html-building-a-set-of-website-d esigns-step-by-step/
Adobe's Muse is a semi-WYSIWYG website layout creator for small websites (1-5 pages). But there is no way you can go from a .PDS file to Muse, you have to start the site in Muse.
I have seen a few Muse sites and they're OK, but there is some code that Muse creates that is kind of odd. If you want a good, clean website that will work for you or your business, Dreamweaver is the best choice. Alternatively, you could hire a pro.

  • How can you upload a movie to I tunes then sync with Ipad2?

how can you upload a movie to I tunes then sync with Ipad2?

There are several options to choose from its either you will buy directly from itunes which go directly to movie. Another option is that convert first your movie to mpeg4 by using any converter software, then after converted drga the file (movie) to itunes library. Next thing you will do is to click your account (your ipad device) then look movie tabs then check sync movies.

  • With one click, can one upload an entire folder containing at least 7GB of Excel spreadsheet to ICloud and then be able to view them on an Ipad using Numbers. Also, would this cause one to have to pay for over 5GB of space?

Want to travel only with my Ipad.  Would like to easily upload, with one click, large 7GB folders of both Excel spreadsheets and Word documents to ICloud and then be able to view, change and create individual spreadsheets and documents using Numbers and Pages on my Ipad through the internet? Also, this would exceed the 5GB offered free, but someone said if I am only syncing and not backing up there would be no charge.  Please explain.

    You can't
Pages and Numbers can save to iCloud, Word and Excel can not.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It will make no changes to your system, and therefore will not, in itself, solve your problem.
If you have more than one user account, you must be logged in as an administrator to carry out these instructions.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below to select it:
    sudo opensnoop -e 2>&- | sed -En '/ m[dt]/d;s/(\/Users\/)[^/]+/\1-/p;/ReportC/q' | tail -50 | pbcopy
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). You'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up. Confirm. You don't need to post the warning.
If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator. Log in as one and start over.
Now take the action that causes the crash.
The command may take a noticeable amount of time to run. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign ($) to appear.
The output of the command will be automatically copied to the Clipboard. If the command produced no output, the Clipboard will be empty. Paste into a reply to this message.
The Terminal window doesn't show the output. Please don't copy anything from there.
If any personal information appears in the output, anonymize before posting, but don’t remove the context.
    You can then quit Terminal.
Important: There is an obscure bug in some versions of OS X that may cause cursor movement to lag or stutter after running the above command. If you notice this behavior, simply restart the computer to clear it.

It is peculiar, that Chrome, Safari, and Skype can access FB, but not the iPhoto uploader.
Do you see any error messages/ diagnostics in the Console Window, when you try to connect to Facebook?
Launch a Console window from Applications > Utilities and clear the Console Window. Then try to upload. Are there any new messages?
And also launch a Terminal and have a look, if "facebook.com" is properly resolved:
    Type
    ping facebook.com
into the window. Do you see any transmissions? What is the IP address used?
    I see:

Can anyone help with uploading photos fom iPad to Facebook?  Thanks

What app are you to trying to use ? You can't upload photos to Facebook via Safari, but a number of the Facebook apps support it e.g. the 'official' app : http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/facebook/id284882215?mt=8 (thought it's optimised for the iPhone/iPod Touch it does support uploading photos), Friendly For Facebook (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/friendly-for-facebook/id400169658?mt=8)
