WRV200 Web UI Inaccessible

Is the web UI crash still a known issue in Firmware version 1.0.32.2?
The web ui on my WRV200 intermittently becomes inaccessible.  It usually dies within a day or two, but sometimes it will stay up for a couple weeks. The router still responds to pings while in this state and everything else seems to work.  When the web ui dies, I have to power cycle the device to get it going again.
Is there a work around to regain access to the web UI remotely? I do not have physical access to the device at all times so power cycling is not a practical solution for me.
Thanks in advance for any information on this issue.

I do have the same Issue.
I don't think they support this product no more since the last firmware upgrade 2.0.0.11 and it is from Oct 2009. They don't give us any signs that they are working on a new version.
That router gave me so much trouble that I'm thinking about buying another model more specifically from another brand.
Good Luck and keep us posted if you have any answers

  • Why is the Profile Manager web portal inaccessible after update to 3.2.1 ?

We run the Profile Manager in OS X as an MDM. We also use the Device Enrollment Program.
After updating to 3.2.1, the web portal for Profile Manager became inaccessible, and DEP checkbox in Profile Manager became unchecked.
I've attempted to re-enroll in the DEP, but it always rejects the Token I give.
I don't know if the two problems are related or not.
    Does anyone have a solution?
This is the log from the Profile Manager Service Log when I attempt to log in to the Profile Manager portal.

  • CIVS-IPC-2930 Web Interface Inaccessible

We have a Cisco CIVS-IPC-2930 PTZ camera and the web interface is inaccessible.  Navigating to the page returns an error "500 - Internal Server Error".   Our VSM is still able to pull the feed from the camera, and I can access it via SSH, just not through the web interface.  Looking at the error log for lighttpd shows the following errors repeatedly:
    2014-04-07 16:38:51: (mod_fastcgi.c.2481) unexpected end-of-file (perhaps the fastcgi process died): pid: 1464 socket: unix:/tmp/php.socket-1
    2014-04-07 16:38:51: (mod_fastcgi.c.3299) response not received, request sent: 1333 on socket: unix:/tmp/php.socket-1 for /index.php , closing connection
Have tried restarting the lighttpd processes and reloading the camera, but the issue persists.
Anyone seen similar issues?  Ideas to resolve?
    Thanks

    Hi Scott,
Yes, I used scp to copy the file over from the functional camera.  It was fairly straightforward to resolve once I suspected the file was corrupted.
    Cheers!

  • WRV200 web interface crashes after changing config

I've got a WRV200 with firmware 1.0.24. Configured to run secured wifi and a VPN tunnel, all without a problem.
Now, when I disable the DHCP service on the box and click Save Settings I'm prompted with the "wifi will restart"message after which the web interface will stop responding. Other functionality (like VPN tunnel) stays OK. I'm connected wired and tried the change with Internet Explorer and Firefox. The only way to get access to the web UI again is do a powercycle of the WRV200. Then the config still shows DHCP enabled.
When trying to upgrade the firmware to 1.0.29 exactly the same happens: try to apply the upgrade, then the web interface stops responding in the end... and after a reboot the f/w still shows 1.0.24.
So: is anyone seeing the same ? And more so: does anyone know how to get around this ?

make sure that you upgrade the firmware from a hardwired computer...
go to ftp://ftp.linksys.com/pub/network and download the tftp.exe file .. assign a static ip address on the computer ( 192.168.1.10 ) and reduce the NIC card's speed to 10 Mbps half duplex mode...
run the tftp.exe file...here the server is router's ip add , password is router's password....browse the firmware file and click upgrade...
the firewall should be disabled during the complete process...
after the firmware upgrade , reset the router for 30 seconds and do a power cycle...

  • WRV200 Web Utility Problem

    Hello,
We're using a WRV200. I tried to get to the web utility via 192.168.1.1.
(to be clear, yes I ran ipconfig. that IS the default gateway.  and I have released and renewed my PC's ip as well. lol)
The first time I did get the login screen... Great.. Had the wron password so I got the "cannot display page" error in my browser. (IE6 SP2).
So I tried again, but now I don't get the loging screen. It seems to forward me to google search page with results for 192.168.1.1 because the DNS could not resolve it..
    Anyone know why this is?
I have checked firewalls, virus scanner settings (just in case), Internet Options security settings..
I'm just baffled at the moment as this should not be happening.
    Thanks

    Thanks Castor....
It's been a while since I've logged in, but I wanted to post results anyway. (Apologies)
    You were right.
It seems the "Web Server" side of the router had hung.
The only difference was I could simply power cycle the router and the web interface came back. I did NOT have to disconnect from the modem or any other devices.
Either I got lucky in that sense (Everything comes back with no config anyway) or it was a fluke...
    THANK YOU!!
Sorry it took so long to reply.
    Kudos

  • Quicktime Export For Web files inaccessible

I accidentally posted this in the QT for Windows section, but I'm a Mac guy.
This is totally bizarre. As of this afternoon, all of the QT files (generated with Export for Web from QT7.6) that I've posted over recent days and weeks, on multiple servers, played back by different computers at different locations, running QT 7.6.4 and 7.6.6, OSX 10.5.8 to 10.6.3, WILL NOT PLAY. How is this possible?
If I connect directly to the original .mov file (as opposed to the "alias" .mov file generated by Export for Web), then it will play. If I connect to the .m4v file, my browser wants to download it, and then play it.
What's going on here? Apparently I'm not the only one to have this problem. Is this due to some sort of DRM update put in place on account of the iPad introduction? iTunes and QT have been updated on at least one of the computers I've tried this with, and it didn't make a difference.
    Hello??? Is anybody out there?

    Here are several examples:

  • RV082 v3 web management inaccessible

Experiencing a strange issue with v3 hardware.
Symptom:  After a short period of time, I cannot log into the web administration - either locally through standard port or remote through non-standard port
Exact Behavior:  get login prompt, enter correct username & password, page refreshes with blank background and first page (status?) never shows.
Workaround:  power cycling the router restores access to the web administration page, for an uncertain period of time before it barfs again.
I was running older firmware, updated to newest 4.2.1.02 (?) and same problem.  Only thing that is better is the internet didn't completely lock up when I tried to access the administration page, like it did on the older firmware.
    CISCO - HELP!!!

I have tried accessing locally from Server 2003 with IE8 and Firefox.  (not sure of Java version)
I have tried accessing remotely (port 52377) from Windows Vista with IE9 and Firefox (Java 7 u6 & Java 6 u33)
I have tried accessing locally from Server 2008R2 with IE9 and Firefox.  (Java 7 u6)
    - All of these (yesterday) I got the login prompt, logged in, then got a blank page (Home never loads)
UPDATE****  I tried remotely today and couldn't even connect.  I double-checked the router settings and I had a typo in the remote port.  Now that the firmware is updated I'm going to watch and see how it does.

  • Want wireless internet only

I have a small (2 computer) network and employees that bring in their laptops. I want the employees to be able to connect to the internet but NOT be able to connect to the LAN. Both computers on the LAN are hard wired to the router. These are the only ones that should access the LAN.
    Leo

What router/version are you using?  If  it supports VLAN then I would set your employee's one one network and your wired on another.  That would keep them from accessing your LAN.  The WRV200 does support multiple SSID's (VLAN) and would provide a good solution for you.

  • Firefox 3.6.7 and 3.6.8 are sluggish, slow and unresponsive.

I am experiencing slow web page loads on all web pages using 3.6.7 and 3.6.8 on Mac, Windows and Linux Ubuntu and CentOS. Numerous websites recommend turning on network pipelining, upping the max requests, and disabling IPv6 dns, using the about:config command. That solved my problem, but beyond voiding my warranty ;^(, it also makes some ipv6 web content inaccessible. On a fresh Firefox install I am encountering wait times of thirty to one hundred seconds per page load, totally unacceptable in my workplace. At home, page loads are between fifteen and thirty seconds, and I am running dual core processors. The support community seems convinced that this is an IPv6 issue, so maybe there is a bug in that area. I don't want to think that IPv6 is going to slow the internet to a crawl.
Anyway the recommended solution that worked cross-platform is to disable IPv6 using about:config, set "network.dns.disableIPv6" to "true."

I've been having the same issue for many weeks. Intermittent freezes where the mouse cursor locks for up to 10 seconds at a time. Random 5-10 second pauses between opening adjacent tabs and just plain intermittent sluggish response. The frequency of slothfulness "appears" to be increasing with time. Either that or my patience is decreasing. I'm using the same box (Intel P4 2.8GHZ/3GB ram) I've had since installing version 6.xx of Ubuntu. Firefox was always been speedy until Ubuntu 10.04. No problems with Opera or Epiphany. Obviously they have nowhere near the feature set of FF so using them is a downgrade in convenience. However the FF performance has degraded sufficiently to where I'm finding myself using Opera more often than not. I've tried all the conventional fixes including the reportedly 'tried and true' '''disable IPv6 using about:config, set network.dns.disableIPv6" to "true."'' method to no avail.
Let's hope a rev is soon released addressing the problem or one of the other browsers begins to offer the same nifty add-ons as FF (fat chance).

  • Printing Word documents to PDF from Office Web Apps Server 2013 yields inaccessible PDF files

I have Office Web Apps Server 2013 SP1 with March 2015 CU applied. The version shows up as "15.0.4569.1506" using Todd Klindt's
method. When anonymous users view the Word documents online through the Office Web Apps, they have an option to print them to PDF. The PDF file that gets generated as a result isn't accessible
(i.e. it isn't WCAG-compliant). using Adobe Acrobat Pro to check it I can see that it is missing tags, for example. The source Word document was made fully accessible from the point of view of Microsoft Office accessibility tools.
When viewing the same document in Word Online in Office 365, I get an extra option  "Download as PDF". The PDF document produced is accessible. If I save a Word 2013 document as a PDF from within the Word editor, it also generates accessible
    PDF.
I was wondering if the reason for the accessibility problem that I have misconfigured my on-premises Office Web Apps,  or perhaps the accessibility compliance isn't built in yet. If the latter is true, I was wondering if someone could indicate whether
or not this is on the list of upcoming CUs.
    thanks in advance.

Just check my WAC install, no this is likely an Office online only feature, at least at this point in time.

  • WRV200 external web access & VPN lockup

Howdy, I have a WRV200 at a remote location and I am having some problems. Pretty much it seems like the router times out after a while and I cannot access it remotely HTTPS Port 8080 or connect using VPN. Specifically when I try to access the router remotely it ask for the login/password, I enter it and then nothing loads. The remote location still can use the internet. I have to have them unplug the power and plug it back in, once that is done I can access the router remotely and the VPN will work. Any suggestions?

try changing the MTU settings on the wrv200 to 1452 ... check whether it helps you...otherwise the last option would be to try upgrading / reflashing the router's firmware ...

  • CUCM 8.6.2 Web Administration Page is being blocking occasionally

    Hi Everyone:
I have a little problem with the administration page of the CUCM 8.6.2.20000-2. The web page (occasionally) go to blank page (in publisher or subscriber). The only thing that I can do to restablish the service is restart by SSH the service Cisco Tomcat.
The same thing happend when I am working and suddenly I press any link or access and the page go to blank. When this situation occur, the other functions are fine, the only problem is with the web page. I have tried with different browsers like IE, Mozilla, Chrome but the result is the same. I have checked the RTMT but I can not see anything wrong.
What can it happen? Any idea? Any advice?
    I appreciate your help. Thanks.

    Hi there,
How often does this occur?  There is an issue with Tomcat and CUCM 8.6 in regards to AXL requests:
CSCty36110 - CUCM 8.6 Tomcat OOM with "com.rsa.sslj.x.cu" suspect under high AXL Load
    Description
    Symptom:
Tomcat becomes unreachable or inaccessible after a number of days. So far the observed timeframe tends to be between 7 and 20 days.
If the generated hprof shows the main suspect as "com.rsa.sslj.x.cu" then this is most likely the cause.
    Conditions:
This has been observed in environments where a very large number of AXL queries are done on the CUCM server.
    Workaround:
Restart the Tomcat service on the CLI using "utils service restart Cisco Tomcat".
Prevent the external application from performing AXL queries. This is usually not a feasible workaround as AXL queries are a requirement for basic functionality of some applications.
    HTH,
    Chris

  • Need Help to Prevent DDOS at application layer to protect Web server ?

Please guide the solutions for DDOS attack. I am facing this attack and after some investigation I  found some details what is up against me
Here are some details of the attack which is most similar in my situation.
In considering the ramifications of a slow denial of service attack  against particular services, rather than flooding networks, a concept  emerged that would allow a single machine to take down another machine's  web server with minimal bandwidth and side effects on unrelated  services and ports.  The ideal situation for many denial of service  attacks is where all other services remain intact but the webserver  itself is completely inaccessible.  Slowloris was born from this  concept, and is therefore relatively very stealthy compared to most  flooding tools.
Slowloris holds connections open by sending partial HTTP requests.   It continues to send subsequent headers at regular intervals to keep the  sockets from closing.  In this way webservers can be quickly tied up.   In particular, servers that have threading will tend to be vulnerable,  by virtue of the fact that they attempt to limit the amount of threading  they'll allow.  Slowloris must wait for all the sockets to become  available before it's successful at consuming them, so if it's a high  traffic website, it may take a while for the site to free up it's  sockets.  So while you may be unable to see the website from your  vantage point, others may still be able to see it until all sockets are  freed by them and consumed by Slowloris.  This is because other users of  the system must finish their requests before the sockets become  available for Slowloris to consume.  If others re-initiate their  connections in that brief time-period they'll still be able to see the  site.  So it's a bit of a race condition, but one that Slowloris will  eventually always win - and sooner than later.
Slowloris also has a few stealth features built into it.  Firstly, it  can be changed to send different host headers, if your target is a  virtual host and logs are stored seperately per virtual host.  But most  importantly, while the attack is underway, the log file won't be written  until the request is completed.  So you can keep a server down for  minutes at a time without a single log file entry showing up to warn  someone who might watching in that instant.  Of course once your attack  stops or once the session gets shut down there will be several hundred  400 errors in the web server logs.  That's unavoidable as Slowloris sits  today, although it may be possible to turn them into 200 OK messages  instead by completing a valid request, but Slowloris doesn't yet do  that.
Please suggest any solutions with product that can help to prevent this problem with some guidance of the feature of that product to specifically prevent this type of attack. I already a many cisco devices like ASA, IPS, Cisco guard etc. just need some guidance
An early response requested and it will be highly appreciated.

    Hello Haseen
Any tool will have some sort of trend/chracterstic that can be used to filter or throttle it out. Take skype for an example; even with all its complexity vendors managed to find days to detect it on the network and take corrective actions. However its always a catch-up game, developers continually work to make their applications or protocols more stealthy and the vendors have to keep up with this challenge.
So you would need to understand this trend/chracterstic of the attack, and then filter out using an access control mechanism, IMHO the most appropriate would be a web application firewall (WAF), Cisco used to have one but I think it is EOS soon:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps9586/index.html
F5 Networks have their ASM module:
    http://www.f5.com/products/big-ip/application-security-manager.html
Other vendors also have some good tools.
Please rate if you find the applications helpful.

  • Company Webmail Outlook Web Access

When I'm on a biz trip I have to use Web Access for my webmail. I noticed that when I use Safari vs. when I use my PC lap top, the whole look is very different. PC allows me to have a preview page and on my ibook it constantly asks for my password. And I can't use several features that are offerend through my PC laptop. I tried using Mac version of Explorer, but it doesn't even open up the webmail. What can I do? Do I need to start carrying my PC laptop on biz trips?

MS uses ActiveX controls in the Windows version of OWA that simply do not exist in the Mac version. We have both flavors of client at the school where I'm the Tech coordinator, and Exchange 2003's Mac OWA client is substantially better than before, but nowhere near as good as the Windows version. Such is life with MS - Windows will always get preferential treatment.
However, the bigger issue is that Exchange 2003 OWA seems to be having serious loading issues in Safari 2.0. Ever since I upgraded my school's machines to 10.4.2, OWA has been all but inaccessible using Safari. The left pane loads, but the right pane, where the messages appear, takes ages to load if it ever loads at all. No problems under IE or Firefox. Is there an Apple rep out there to address this to? My faculty and staff are very irritated, and I'd rather not switch away from Safari and confuse them even more if I don't have to.
