Thankx Rasikanayanajith,
I have downgraded the IOS from 03.03.01 to 03.02.03 and it has been running for 8+ hours straight now with no reboots since and seem very stable. There is load on the switch. However, I did get some error msg just recently (posted below):

7961G-GE stuck in constant reboot with a blank screen
Hi all,
I just bought a used 7961G-GE and attempted to implement it into my current running CME environment. For some reason my 7961G-GE is constantly rebooting with a blank screen upon receiving power from my 3550 switch. I currently have 2 7940's and a 7961G that have registered without any issues. I tried to debug tftp event's on my router to see if at least my 7961G-GE was able to contact the TFTP server but I get no results at all. I also did a dhcp bindings check and it looks like the 7961G-GE phone is unable to get an ip address either. I have the proper option 150 configurations as my other phones are able to reach the tftp server without any issues. I've also uploaded and tried firmware versions 8.2 through 8.5 and assigned the proper file to the load command. When I do a "more system:/its/vrf1/XMLDefault.cnf.xml" to see if the command was executed, it shows the correct file within the open and close tags of the proper load information tags. This is just really baffling to me because I'm getting no response at all when I try to debug the events with this phone with the exeception of it rebooting every few seconds with a blank screen. I do get an error message when I do the load command that says "
LOAD COMMAND ERROR:cnf-file location system is not supported,Plese use flash|slot0|tftpUpdating CNF files", but again, when I look at the XML files that all my phones request they all show the proper info within their tags including 7961G-GE.
Any pointer's as to why this is happening?
Thanks
-JasonMaybe the unit was in the middle of a complete flash reset when the seller pulled the power. Normally a flash reset takes about, wait for it, an hour.

This problem has only appeared in the past few days before that I had nio problems with itunes. Firstly I discovered that I could only open Itunes once after reboot - thereafter it would not reopen until I reboot again. I have spent considerable hours yesterday talking to the Apple help by phone and tried all there suggestions including of course reinstalling itunes amongst other things. Eventually I thought the problem had been solved when I discovered that I could suddenly open Itunes repeatedly without rebooting. After a short time I then discovered that the reason it was working agai was that I had rebooted with the internet disconnected and itunes would open repeatedly as normal provide I left the internet disconnected. When I reconnect to internet the problem resurfaces. HELP
For those still wondering how to install ios 6.1 on 5th gen iPod, you need to download it off of apples official website and then shift click restore from backup and choose the downloaded ios 6.1
apples one year warrant covers any hardware problems like these right? -
I have a new IMAC with a Maverick platform (I can update to Yosemite). I did all graphics on a G5 Power PC (very old), in Freehand (very old)...
How can I open old Freehand files on this new Mac?
Can I still open and work in Freehand on this new Mac?Let me see if I've gotten this right! You want to remove an account from BOTH machines? Do this for your new machine first, then for the other.
Click the Apple logo on the top left of the screen, System Preferences, Users and Groups (under Systems), unlock the lock in the window if its locked (you need to know the password), select the user that you wish to remove, and click the - sign next to the + sign for Login options. A window will pop up with some options. Select Delete this user and securely, and click 'Delete user'.
After this, do an update from the App Store.
Thats all there is to it.
For the other machine repeat the process except for one thing. Before you delete the user in this case YOU, you will have to give Administrator priviledges to your son bu checking the box 'Allow user to administer this computer'.
Do NOT do anything from Finder ... if you dont know how to fix the consequences of the problems caused.
There is no need to unauthorize your iTunes account on your new machine. Do it on the old machine though. -
I'm unable to update my apps or download new apps to my Iphone. When I try I get a message "An unknown error has occurred". It was happening before and after the last OS upgrade. I've done a hard reboot with no effect. Any suggestions???
Have either of you had any luck with this issue. It began happening to me today when I was trying to purchase music on iTunes. I have purchased music and games in the past and have had no problem. Any help would be appreciated.

forgot my adminpassword, i have tried the reboot with initial disk didn't work, i am able to get into my computer with name and password, but this same name and password doesn't work as an administrators password when i want to download or change things.
do you have any suggestions? Im about to give up, i can't even access wireless have to use a dsl
pretty sad... this same name and password doesn't work as an administrators password when i want to download or change things.
It's probably that your Keychain password is not the same as your login password. If you configured your computer to log you in automatically, you may not have used your login password in so long you forgot it.
There is no way to retrieve the "login" Keychain password, but you can reset the Keychain from the Preferences menu: select it in the Keychain Access menu and select "Reset My Default Keychain". This will create a new, empty Keychain but the old one will be saved should you ever remember its password.
The result of this is that you will have to supply passwords for everything that requires it, since without your Keychain they will no longer automatically fill themselves. However, once you supply them and store them in your new Keychain, they will be remembered. -
My iPad mini retina is still having random reboots with blue screen after updating to iOS 8.0.2.i also did reset my iPad.But the problem still persists
Could you add your problem here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6569052? This makes sure the discussion and in one place and we can attract more attention from Apple.

Hi,
I am getting below wrror while accesing the Ecel:
compile error in hidden module: Essbaselogon. This error commonly occurs when code is incompatible with the version, Platform, or architecture of this applicationIIRC essbase is a financial reporting add-in (Hyperion, or something similar?).
This message is telling you that the add-in is not compatible with your current software. You should check with the vendor who provided the essbase add-in. Tell them what version of windows and Excel (and maybe Hyperion) you are using, and get a compatible
version from them...
If you do not need or run essbase/hyperion/etc then you should just remove/disable the add-in. If it doesn't show in your add-in menu, then you may have to do a repair installation or re-install Excel -
Install maverik on my MacBook Pro, I had no problem. Two days later I was shut down suddenly and reboot with a closed padlock and asking me for a password that does not match any of mine. What can I do?
Try booting to the Recovery drive, running Disk Utility and Repair disk and Repair Permissions.
1. Reboot and immediately hold down command and R (two keys).
2. When you see the screen shown on this page, select Disk Utility and continue.
3. When DU is running, select the hard drove on the left, First Aid and Repair Disk.
4. After Repair Disk, click Repair Permissions.
Quit DU and restart. -

Volume Keys proble when rebooting with iMic
Since updating to 10.4.5 (and the 10.4.6 update did not fix the problem), I have noticed that the the keyboard volume adjustment for the external speakers does not work after a reboot if I have my Griffin iMic attached to the system. The keyboard volume adjusdtment will only work for the iMic. I can adjust the volume with the menubar adjuster. If I reboot the system a second time, the keyboard adjuster will work correctly.
I also found that if I plug in the iMic after a reboot that the keyboard volume keys do not work for the iMic.
I am using old pc speakers connected to the audio-out port of the PB and a pair of Sennheiser headphone/microphone (PC150) attached to the USB iMic. However, this happens regardless of whether the speakers are attached or I use the builtin speakers.
I am also running SoundSource 1.0.5 from Rogue Amoeba Software. But I have been running SoundSource since I purchased the iMic.
Does anyone have an idea what I can do to fix this?
Scott
Powerbook G4 17-inch display Mac OS X (10.4.6)This was resolved by rebooting with the iMic connected to the system. It has the problem only after an update. After that, it is no longer a problem.

Samaba sharing is disabled after reboot, with incorrect share config
Hi all,
I bought my macbook pro with OS X 10.4. Ever since I've upgraded, I'm unable to get my samba server to work correctly. I have a Cent OS server running samba, and all my other clients can connect to it, so I know its not an issue with the Windows clients. I would like to share my Movies folder so my wife can watch videos I download. Some are in iTunes, some are Divx. I've done the following.
1. Go to System Preferences -> Sharing
2. Under "shared folders", I click the plus and add the directory "Movies"
3. I set my account to "read only" and "everyone" to "read only"
4. Go to System Preferences -> Accounts
5. Select Guest Account and check "Allow guests to connect to shared folders". I leave guest login disabled.
6. Reboot
With the above steps, I expect that the only share listed would be "Movies" and that I can access it with an anonymous samba client. However, I randomly get folders I'm not expecting. For instance, this is how I tested my setup.
1. On a windows computer I telent to the correct samba ports. "telnet 10.10.1.101 139" and "telnet 10.10.1.101 445". Both connect to the socket, so I'm ok at the firewall level.
2. Test what shares are listed with "smbclient" on my mac. I enter "smbclient -L 10.10.1.101" in the command prompt. When prompted for a password, I just press enter. I get the following output.
$ smbclient -L 10.10.1.101

Definitely not what I've configured via the gui! Also, whenever I reboot and go into the sharing gui the "Share files and folders using SMB" is always unchecked. It would seem that my settings are hosed and the gui isn't correctly persisting my settings and restarting the Daemons. I'm not sure which plist files to delete to start with fresh settings, and I'm reluctant to start blasting critical system files without being sure of what I'm doing. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. I've already followed a couple of how to's that worked for most people, but they didn't resolve my issues.
Thanks,
Todd
Message was edited by: tninePresumably related to this problem is that if I try to restart the svc it gets disabled.
For example (while tailing /var/svc/log/site-bind9:default.log in background):
bash-3.00# svcs bind9
STATE STIME FMRI
online 3:37:45 svc:/site/bind9:default
bash-3.00# svcadm restart bind9
[ Apr 17 03:38:07 Stopping because service restarting. ]
[ Apr 17 03:38:07 Executing stop method ("/opt/bind/var/svc/method/bind9 stop") ]
[ Apr 17 03:38:07 Method "stop" exited with status 0 ]
[ Apr 17 03:38:07 Disabled. ]
bash-3.00# svcs bind9
STATE STIME FMRI
disabled 3:38:07 svc:/site/bind9:default
Any ideas what is wrong with this svc (manifest posted above) ? -
Handling reboot with supercedence
testing new version of application which supersedes older version. Have found in testing that simply uninstalling the old MSI is not sufficient - a reboot is needed. Therefore sequence of events from SCCM perspective is
1. New app - V 1.1 supersedes old msi (uninstall) V1.0
2. V1.0 uninstall runs msiexec /x xxxxx to uninstall
3. reboot
4. Install New version 1.1
So question is how to gracefully handle the reboot
I could create a separate uninstall job with an exit code that tells SCCM to reboot with the usual countdown but this splits the job into two and user would be without their application once done
However, I'm not sure if putting a shutdown.exe -r into the v1.0 uninstall cmd is a great idea
Ian Burnell, London (UK)"will reboot without warning"
That is incorrect. ConfigMgr always displays the reboot notification when it initiates a reboot. Setting the option to allow the command-line/program to reboot will result in no notification.
